E-mail Flyer

Hi
I want to send an e-mail as a flyer with all the graphics and
links as on a web page. How do I do it? I can create web pages
using Dreamweaver 2004 MX - but I don't know how to include them on
an e-mail? Many thanks Greg

    Hello.
    According to Verizon's web site and phone calls for the last several years, FIOS and DSL services are unavailable in my two house areas. It only shows DirecTV (over the air (OTA)'s local broadcast channels are enough for my family) and phone services (already have it). Why does Verizon keep sending the snail mails/flyers in wasting time and papers to us?

    I will be surprised if anyone here on this user-to-user forum has a valid answer to your question, but I've had a similar question in mind for some time.   Similar in that we constantly get snail mail advertisements for FiOS service when we already have it.   We're on a 2 year contract and thus not eligible for any of the promo  packages they're pushing to new customers in the ads.  The mailings, in fact, have the effect of rubbing salt in a wound, reminding us that new customers can get a better deal than we existing customers can.
    I can't help thinking Verizon is wasting a ton of money on mailings to existing customers, money that if saved might be used to avoid the recent rate increases.

    I have Acrobat 8 standard installed on 3 computers running windows and 2 work fine but I am having problem with one PC with Acrobat
    I am trying to convert a document in excel to PDF but it shrinks the overall size of the page once converted- It is a mail flyer so margins and logo placement need to be exact- it is only a small amount of shrinkage but enough to cause a problem- the other 2 pc's handle it perfect but not the third.
    I think I have identified the problem i just do not know how to resolve it- on the 2 good pc's once you convert the doucment and look at print preview it shows:
    Document 8.3 x 11.7 in
    Paper       8.3 x 11.7 in
    but on the problem PC it shows
    Document 8.5 x 11.0 in
    Paper       8.3 x 11.7 in      -I am transferring the same document between the PC's so there should be no difference on the size but on this PC on the preview it shows a grey margin block on the right side of the page which looks like it is causing the shrinkage.
    I have looked at every setting I could find and tried to copy the setting from each pc to stop this from happening- I have scaling set to None but I still can not get the converted PDF to appear full size.
    Can anyone shed any light on what is causing the document to appear as larger on the problem pc?

    It's Excel, it has to be. Excel (all MS Office applications to my experience) rely on user defined preferences which do not transfer with the file.

  • Help With Rollovers in Email

    History: In the past, my company has used Imageready to
    create basic html code. We are using this to create e-mail flyers
    and ads, and rollovers are CRUCIAL to my boss's way of thinking.
    Problem: Dreamweaver creates code that will not render
    rollovers in most email clients. Entourage on the Mac displays
    nothing, and Outlook states that "this image contains script, which
    will not display in outlook". Using Imageready these were not
    problems. Is there any way to adjust the script code that
    Dreamweaver uses, or get a plugin that will use legacy code? Maybe
    even a way to do rollovers without Javascript? I'm also open to
    exporting from another Adobe program if it will generate what we
    need. Otherwise my crew will be back to using Imageready CS1 to
    finish our files for the web! (after we chisel the cuneiform onto
    rock slabs, the usual format for imageready CS1 files)

    There's no way you can do image rollovers in HTML email.
    Period.

    External clearing means that the coupon will be redeemed at the retailer (through the purchase of the
    consumer), and not via sales order in CRM to the manufacturer). The retailer cooperates with the
    national clearing house (NCH) on the collection and the verification of the collected coupons over a
    period of time.
    -The NCH will bill the manufacturer with invoices and submit statistical coupon information to the
    manufacturer. The manufacturer will pay the invoice to the clearing house and track the cost through
    its account assignment to the campaign.
    -The following are the steps of a couponing process with external clearing
    u2022 The manufacturer defines and publishes a new coupon campaign.
    u2022 An external provider (Internet provider, retailer, etc.) or the manufacturer itself distributes the
    coupons through the specified channels: e-mail, direct mail, flyer or FSI (Free Standing Insert),
    for example.
    u2022 The consumer redeems the coupon.
    u2022 The retailer accepts the coupon.
    u2022 The clearing house collects the coupon redemption information from the retailer and sends it back to the manufacturer.
    Coupon Code Maintenance for External Clearing
    -In the external clearing process, coupon codes are automatically assigned when a campaign will be
    released. This means that coupon offer codes must first be maintained in transaction
    CRMD_MKTPL_OFRCODE (SAPGUI) :
    -Coupon codes are communicated to the coupon publisher for each product category by the clearing
    house.
    -Coupon code publisher enters these number ranges into the system.
    -As soon as a coupon campaign is released, the next free coupon code for the selected clearing house

  • How to maintain PDF links when viewed in Apple Mail

    Hi All
    I've created a single page promo flyer in InDesign which has an email and a web link at the foot of the page. The flyer is to be distributed to clients as a PDF attachment via Apple Mail. The PDF has been created from the InDesign doc and the links display and behave as they are intended to. When I attach the PDF to a mail it displays just fine. I want recipients to be able to click on and follow the links directly from the Mail view in a single action without having to download the PDF and then click on the links. However when you try to click the links the whole PDF highlights blue and no link is activated. Can anyone suggest a way to achieve this?
    I'm using Apple Mail v7.3 on an iMac running OSX v10.9.5.

    If you are asking about addresses that are not in your Address Book, they are listed in Windows > Previous Recipients.

  • How do I insert a flyer made in Photoshop into the body of an email...

    I made a flyer in Photoshop, I saved it as a JPG. Then I went into my email client AOL to insert it into the body of the email to send out to my clientele. I sent it to myself first to check the resolution etc. The problem is I cannot get it to keep the orginal aspect ration within the email. I compared it to other flyers sent to me, that were produced in Photoshop, I checked all the specs and everything in them matched mine. When I put them into the email the retained their orginal format. So what am I doing wrong that mine will not. I am sure it is something simple I am not aware of doing as I am new to the program.
    Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I am working in Photoshop CS3 on a Dell.

    What happens if your recipients' email clients do not display images by default? Will your message still get across?

    Hopefully, you have no more than 100 recipients to your email marketing as AOL imposes a limit.
    The comparison between messages you send and those you have received should be clearly made. Were those messages that you received sent from AOL? Were they sent with the same AOL mail client? Do they use images attached to the message or called from a web server?

    Click the image , hold your mouse button, drag it and bring it to Firefox window from task bar below and release it into the body of your e-mail.Works on Gmail, Yahoomail , Hotmail....May not work on other e-mail service providers.

  • Printing a Flyer to PDF

    Hello!
    We just purchased CS5 for Mac (my operating system is v. 10.6.5). I need to export my two-page flyer to PDF, and when I go to Export it, I choose Compressing Settings of Bicubic Downsampling to 150 pixels per inch, with Medium Image Quality. I have two full page images that are EPS, and then text over it. When I was doing this same flyer in Quark, the flyer size would be anywhere from 500-600KB. Now, the file size over in InDesign is 1MB, which is just too large to be effectively e-mailing. I need to still have decent quality, which I lose when I try to bump it down to achieve my smaller file size.
    I've updated Acrobat, and even when I go to the print settings, and click Save As PDF, it says The Save as PDF option in the Printer dialog is not supported. I have to go in and choose File, Export.
    I would really appreciate help in knowing what I'm doing wrong to accomplish a smaller size without compromising on quality. I know I've done it before, just not with InDesign! Thanks.

    The difference may very well be the size taken up by ICC color profiles that are likely being put into your PDF file so that accurate color can be seen by whoever receives the PDF files. Try using a custom profile for which the color management profiles are not embedded and you can easily see the file size drop by at least 500Kbytes. That having been said, (1) one megabyte is not that big of a PDF file is it contains a significant amount of graphically rich content and (2) you certainly wouldn't want to send a PDF file out for printing in which the images are as degraded as you made them and with further "pruning" you lose color management as well.

  • How do you Embed a flyer in an email?

    How do I embed a flyer that I have created through Word Project Gallery to an email.  I want the flyer to be open when the user opens the email.  I do not want the flyer to appear as text or an attachment.  This is being sent to customers so I want them to see the flyer immediately and not click over it as an attachment.
    Do I save it as html or pdf?  html did not seem to work.  I have tried to research this on-line but I find the information very confusing and does not seem to apply because if may be a different software version.  It seems so simple yet so complicated.  Any easy step by step instructions would be greatly appreciated.

    There are no easy steps that will work with all people.  Unfortunately e-mail embedding standards are not standard across all clients.  Your best bet is to construct the flyer for the web using HTML standards, and put it up on the web with a link from your e-mail.  If the link is an especially long one or hard to remember, make a http://www.tinyurl.com/ from it before adding to your e-mail.  People send attachments all the time, but many people have webmail that they use, and Mac OS X Mail doesn't always understand HTML mail.  Not to mention embedding opens e-mails up to possible trojan horses if the e-mail is able to run an attachment in an executable format.

    I use an application called SerialMailer to create html flyers and send bulk email. If you do a lot of this kind of stuff it may be worth looking at.

  • AT&T doesn't honor their Gigapower Flyer advertisement

    So, I received a flyer for upgrading my service to U-Verse with AT&T Gigapower for $120/month. I called the service department and am told that I'm not able to receive that price because I'm a current customer.  Which would make sense EXCEPT that the flyer had my AT&T ID number on it and it specifically discusses changing my current AT&T plan to the Gigapower one. And the service agreement online and in the flyer do not discuss any disqualifiers about being a current member.  When I pointed this out to the representative I was told, I don't know why they say that...oh well.    I guess AT&T doesn't want my business.

    AT&T is a big company and often the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing.  It can be especially bad as AT&T contracts out some functions to other companies.

    The short-cut is „Command / Alt / J“, but nowhere I can see any information how to duplicate the underlines.
    By the way: I am a InDesign-Beginner; I used to work with QXP before for many years. Who can give me a hint – if possible in German? Thanks a lot!

    nerven, aber ich bin erst seit kurzer Zeit mit InDesign zugange und stelle
    immer wieder fest, dass, je tiefer ich einsteigen will, immer mehr Fragen
    auftauchen. Es gibt auch so viele Begriffe, die sich von QuarkXPress
    unterscheiden, das ist ja furchtbar.
    Können wir vielleicht mal kurz direkt Kontakt über E-Mail aufnehmen? Auch
    mit dem Forum habe ich noch Probleme zurecht zu kommen. Ich würde gerne
    einen Screenshot senden, der mein "Problem" besser erkennen lässt.

    Wenn Du jede Zeile unterstreichen musst, dann sind Absatzlinien (Paragraph
    Rules) nicht dazu geeignet. Es gibt zwei Absatzlinien, eine unterhalb, eine
    oberhalb.Für das Unterstreichen aller Zeilen kann man nur die Auszeichnung
    „Unterstreichen” verwenden, das findest Du im Absatzformat unter
    „Grundlegende Zeichenformate” die Option „Unterstreichen”. Besser wäre es
    jedoch in der Absatzformatdefinition im Bereich ”´„Unterstreichungsoptionen”
    die EInstellungen vorzunehmen, weil dort feinere Einstellungen möglich sind
