E-mail receipt not sending from selected e-mail in automatic replies (Paid Subscription)

I volunteer for a non-profit.  We had to cancel an event and notify registrants.
I went to look at the email account we set up under options for the "automatic replies." but could not find any corresponding confirmation messages.
The correct e-mail is selected in FormsCentral.  When I did a test, the confirmation  was generated  from the "[email protected]" instead? Why is this?
Thanks,  We're new at this and feel it's a great product, just need it to work correctly for our volunteers.

HI
This is kept in queue
probable reason is the message you are trying to send have attachment more than the provided limit on the mail server.
XML messages are mostly have higher size then text files etc.
Ex - If the mail server allows 10 MB file your attachment seems more than that hence it is not able to process
Thanks
Gaurav.

  • Mail will not send from anywhere except home

I am using mail with an external mail server. I have two accounts on the same server. For some reason when I send from my primary account at my house it works fine. If I am anywhere else it will not send email. The secondary account does not have this problem. any idea why this might be happening and how to correct the problem?

if two accounts on the same server and one works, then you aren't having network issues.
It's possible that a particular message you're sending is tripping blacklists. if the subject or content has the keywords that trigger a rejection, that might be your explanation. Use test emails..
Next, I'd look to see if the accounts are configured the same. It might be that the server location works with your DNS at home, but when away, it doesn't resolve. Check to make sure the evil account matches the good one.
If this is a large service provider (gmail, yahoo, aol) it shouldn't matter, but a small personal server might have different server side rules for each account. I run a server and it has the option to require that the mail come from the same domain as the account. That makes the account incapable of sending while the account owner is out of the network.
Use the Connection Doctor (under the Window menu)
Question: what is the service provider of the email account?

  • Mail will not send from designated email account

I have several emails set up in Mail. Everything has been working great until a couple days ago. I haven't changed anything, made any updates, or added any new accounts.
Let's call the two accounts A and B. My main account is A. When I am sending an email, A is my default. It is designated as such. When I send an email from account A, I double check in each email. It shows it is coming from that default account. However, my recipient is receiving the email from account B. I only know this because when they reply, their response shows up in account B's inbox. The weird thing? My sent email folder shows as being sent from the correct account-- account A.
I have re-installed the accounts, double-checked everything.  The problem still exists.
This is the weirdest issue. Anyone know what could be causing this?
Thanks so much for the help.

Probably because it is using the server of account B to send from. When it goes through B's server, the server changes the sent address to that of B's email address. Either you have the wrong outgoing server set up for account A or there is a problem with it and it's switching to account B's server.
Open account preferences and highlight account A. Look at the SMTP server list and see which it shows. Select the correct one and check the box to use only that server for that account. If it fails in the future, you will get an alert that it failed and the option to choose another outgoing server.
Make sure all information for that server is correct and that it has the correct user name and password. Once you get that working, do the same for account B and make sure it has the correct outgoing server and check the box for that one also.

  • Apple Mail: Email not sending from default account

Note: Default email send worked fine in Mavericks. The issues seems to be new in Yosemite.
I have 3 emails accounts: Exchange, Gmail, Yahoo. In that order. They are placed in that order in the Accounts section of Apple Mail. They are also placed in that order in the mailbox listing under Inbox in mail.
When creating a new email, the top account, Exchange, is rarely chosen as default. Either Gmail or Yahoo are chosen...and occasionally Exchange. I send 90% of my mail from the Exchange SMTP server; now forced to manually change the outbound Account within the mail message itself almost every time.
Again, this is a brand new issue in Yosemite where it doesn't appear to recognize the default account to send email from in Mail.
    Anybody else seeing this?

Hi Will, and a warm welcome to the forums!
Tough to tell what you've tried, is this one you've tried...
Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), it will try to repair your Disk Directory while the spinning radian is happening, so let it go, run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, then move these folder & file to the Desktop.
Move this Folder to the Desktop...
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Caches/Mail/
Move this file to the Desktop...
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/Envelope Index
    Reboot.
PS. Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.
Who is your ISP or eMail Provider?

  • Mail will not send from my laptop

I have a macBookPro circa 2009 with OS10.7.4.  When iCloud happened, since then I can receive email, but not send email.  The wheel just spins until I delete the outgoing message.  The outgoing server says Silhouettemedia (iCloud).  Can anyone help?
    Thx in advance.

    This issue has been resolved.

  • Mail will not send from outbox (sometimes)

Suddenly, with no changes made to mail, or anything else, I'm getting a pop-up everytime I try to send some mail from Mail.
Pop up states: "Cannot send message using server smtp.mac.com
Use the pop up menu below to try a different outgoing mail server. All messages will use this server until you quit Mail or change your network settings. "
Anyone? Coincidentally (or not) my .mac membership just got auto renewed. Wondering if it's connected to this problem.

Are you also accessing an email account and SMTP server with the Mail.app that is provided by your ISP used for connecting to the internet?
If so, are you able to send messages with this account?
Go to Mail > Preferences > Accounts and under the Account Information tab for your .Mac account preferences at the SMTP server selection, select the Server Settings button below for the .Mac SMTP server.
If 25 is entered in the Server Port field, change it to 587 and when finished, select OK to save the changed setting.
Coincidentally (or not) my .mac membership just got auto
renewed. Wondering if it's connected to this problem.
Possibly but more likely your ISP made a recent change regarding the use of SMTP servers that are outside of their network or not provided by the ISP without informing you.

  • Mail will not send from iPhone on .Mac Account!

This is weird. From my .Mac account when I try to send an email message, I get the "Cannot Access Outgoing Mail Server", whereas if I set up a Gmail account on the same phone, it sends just fine.
I've deleted and re-created the account, restored, updated, software, and all the above again, been to the Genius Bar -- yet remain stymied. Is there some simple solution I've overlooked?

Your problem is with Cox and Cox not having an authenticated SMTP server.
Not many ISPs provide an authenticated SMTP server and I'm not sure why - especially with laptops and devices such as the iPhone so popular.
I'm a Time Warner/RoadRunner customer for cable and internet access and I quit using my RR email account several years ago for this very reason. I switched to using my .Mac account as my primary personal email account which has an authenticated SMTP server. I'm able to send messages with the account regardless the internet service provider used for internet access. My business POP account also has an authenticated SMTP server and no problems sending with this account either - via a number of different Wi-Fi connections and EDGE.
I suggest seriously considering switching to another email account. A Gmail account is free, can be accessed as a POP or IMAP account with the email client on your computer as well as with the iPhone's email client, has a good spam filter at the incoming mail server, and has an authenticated SMTP server.
If you ever move or decide to change your ISP from Cox to a different ISP, your email account and address will not need to change. You can access and send messages with a Gmail account with any ISP - the same with a .Mac account. And you'll have much more server storage space than Cox provides.

  • .me / .mac E-mail will not send from iPhone 3G

For some reason, my .me / .mac e-mail has decided to quit working when I try to send a message. I get the error, "The connection to the outgoing server "smtp.mac.com" failed.
This was working yesterday, and it just quit all the suddent last night. Anyone have any idea what I can do to fix this?!?!

FYI - i fixed the problem, for now I guess. All I did was delete the mail account and then re-add it. Seemed to fix it up.

  • Mail message not forwarded from Comcast to Mail

Every day I receive an email from the Chicago Tribune that contains a link to that day's e-edition.  The email resides in my comcast.net inbox, not the spam box.  All of my incoming emails (except the ones in the spam box) get forwarded to my Mac OS Mail inbox - no problems whatsoever - except this particular daily email.  It sits there at comcast.net and is available and it works just fine.  The problem is that it doesn't get forwarded by comcast.net to my Mac OS Mail inbox, as it should.  Of course, Comcast hasn't a clue and "blames" the problem on the Mac OS/ Mail application.  Any ideas why I have this problem?

Thank you for your help, that did the trick. My mail box was too large, once I emptied my trash the problem has not repeated itself. I thought I had my trash set to empty upon quiting. My Mail box was 1.6 gigs and I was trying to keep it clean by throwing old mail and junk mail away, but it built up and I did not realize it.

  • AOL mail will not send

AOL mail will not send from iPad. It goes to outbox and stays forever. Have deleted the account and re-added the account. It test fine and verifies with no problem, but every consequent send results in server error. Accounts work find on iPod touch and webmail. The issue is with mail app only. Any advice? I just configured four of these for the kids. The two that use hotmail have no problems...it's just the AOL accounts. I even added my AOL account...and it too, fails to send from iPad.

I have an AOL account and I do not have the AOL client loaded on my PC. Our ISP is Time Warner Road Runner. iPad is connected via Wifi to Linksys E3000 cable modem router, which is connected to Motorola SB5100 cable modem. iPad will receive AOL mail OK, but will not send. iPad will receive & send OK for Road Runner mail.
Here is how I solved the problem. Apparently Road Runner does not allow to be on their network and use other mail server such as AOL to send. My guess is that is their attempt to stop spam or phishing.
I added the secondary SMTP server, which is Road Runner's SMTP and turned both primary & secondary servers on so that I can use it when I'm not at home. It now works like a charm. Road Runner SMTP doesn't work with SSL, so I had to leave that off for smtp-server.xxx.rr.com, where xxx is the location such as san for San Diego. No User Name or Password necessary.
My guess is that this is the case or other ISP's as well. Hope this helps someone.

    Sorry for the delay...
I did what you've told me, new account and manually copied my files from Time Machine. I had lots of permissions problems, but at the end, almost everything is in order... It seems it had to be with some of the Apple Preferences, but I can't be sure, as most of them were dumped to the trash can.
I still don't have my Mail Rules back, unfortunately, although I did goggled some. It is a pity, as I had around 30 or 40 of them, getting my mail in order to each of its mailboxes, but it is a small price as the rest doesn't show the before syntoms.
    Thanks for the help, anyway!!

  • Add an e-mail adress to send from - not a new e-mail acount.

    Hi!
How do I add an e-mail adress to send from in Mail? I do not want to add a new acount, just an e-mail adress that is shown to the reciver that the e-mail was sent from a specific adress. You can choose in the menu of a new e-mail which adress you want to send from - and I had that earlier. But now suddenly my icloud-adress appears as an option instead of the e-mail adress I want to use. So how can I add a new one?
    Best regards,
    Jenny

  • Mail will not send, forward, reply, etc.

    Hello world,
I've researched and read many support threads but nothing comes close to describing (or solving) this problem a friend has got with her MBP - I hope someone can help.  Basically revealed as a 'sudden change' in expected results when using the Apple Mail app., as follows:
System: Apple Mail app ver. 5.3 , OS X Lion 10.7.5, used with Google mail only (flawlessly for about a year so far on this machine).  No changes or updates were applied (that might be known) so this is a puzzling problem, an nothing else seems to be affected.
In the Mail app, when attempting to Send, Reply, Reply All or Forward a mail message, nothing happens - no message window is presented to allow continuing with the action. This is true whether using the app buttons for these actions, or menu commands or hot-keys.  Mail retrieval continues to be OK; message navigation is not affected, notes can be opened, etc.
It's obviously not a POP server problem because mail is retrieved OK. SMTP settings all appear to be proper, verified as
Accounts > SMTP server > Advanced:   Use default ports (25,465, 587),  Use SSL.
    Possible secondary symptoms?
One first step taken was to ensure all apps were up to date by running Software Update. At the end of the update a restart was required, but was interrupted by the message "Other: Application mail cancelled restart."  Mail was force-closed to proceed with the restart.
After being minimized, the mail window can be reopened from the doc position at bottom right of the desktop, but not by re-selecting the mail app icon in its normal position.  The app bar indicates that Mail has taken focus, but the mail window does not reappear.
After reviewing Mail Preferences and making a minor change, the preferences could not be saved. Instead, the following message appears:   "Error saving preferences.   Writing your preferences to the disk has failed. Your preferences may not have been saved. The permissions on ~/Library/Preferences may be wrong or your disk may be full." I can confirm that the disk is not full; at least 200GB free.
~/Library/Preferences Sharing & Permissions: are found to be: "You can only read / System: Read & Write / wheel: Read only / everyone: Read only
Any help towards resolution is much appreciated.

    Thanks, all, for your input.
@~Bee:  Yes, Mail is friendly enough and wll-integrated and probably beats Thunderbird, which is 'Plan B' .  I'm sure this can all be corrected - it's perhaps just a case of finding the straightest path instead of trying 'n' different things and creating 10 other problems along the way.
    1.  What do you mean, "sudden change?"  I know you said that no changes were made to the System, but often, changes are made quickly, and forgotten.  So this did not occur after an OS update?
Eseentially: close the lid at night: AOK. Open the lid in the morning: Mail br0k3n.  There was no OS update applied manually other than the after-the-fact update mentioned - and I don't believe anything is running on autopilot.
    2.  Please clairify:
the mail window can be reopened from the doc position at bottom right of the desktop, but not by re-selecting the mail app icon in its normal position.
What does "re-selecting the mail app icon in its NORMAL position" mean???
If minimized, the app can be reopened from the minimized app area (stack area) on the right side of the dock. But if you try to reopen by clicking on the original Mail app icon in its original "normal" position in the dock = no action.  My experience is that this is abnormal.
    3.  What happens if Mail is opened from the Applications folder?
After this time I can't recall if we tried this or not - I believe so but can't be sure. The Mac is miles away at this time so I may have to relay some things.
    Thanks Bee.
PS.  The secret work-around on iOS 6.1.3 battery drain is to turn off Setting > iCloud > Find My <device>

  • Outgoing mail does not send, times out

I have two macs, one wireless and the other connected by ethernet to the internet both through a DSL modem. There are two users, each has an account on each mac. Each user has a yahoo plus mail account. I have been using Tiger and OS X mail without trouble since last year. Mail is setup to work with the Yahoo server as a POP server. The arrangement is nice since all mail stays on the server and is accessible from any internet site anywhere. In addition, there is the tight integration with OSX from Mail.
Recently one user could not send from the wireless mac. The other user could. Reading mail was OK. Performance on the ethernet mac was OK. Creating a new user and directing that user to the POP account allowed sending.
I tried alot of things as sugggested in some of the other topics here, including the drastic move of deleting the mail folder in the affected user's library and setting up a new account.
It turned out the problem was fixed by re specifying the outgoing mail server in the mail preferences. The server was incorrectly specified as smpt.mail.yahoo.com. The correct specification is smtp....
I had presumed I had made the dyslexic typo error when re establishing the account info on the affected mac.
However, about a week later, the other user account on the other mac behaved the same way. In fact, the outgoing server specification had the same error of smpt...
Once changing back to smtp... all was well, even with reboots and the other users logged off. The fix was simply to add the correct outgoing server URL, select it as the one to use and delete the incorrect one.
Explanation? I can think of two possiblities:
1)the error was always present in these two Mail account specifications on just those macs and the service that interprets the URL allowed it, but changed recently so it would not accomodate the error.
2)something changed the URL, but I can't think of how I could possibly have done it in the second instance. Is there anyway some kind of virus would cause this trouble?
So, I offer this tale in case someone else is experiencing the same difficulty. Judging from some of the other threads in the forum this may be a help.

It could not have been caused by a virus, since there are no viruses for Mac OS X. I would guess it was a typo when you first setup the account, and when you set it up again, a user may have gone to Preferences and selected the Outgoing mail server drop down menu and inadvertently selected the typo'd server entry.
