As a functional consultant there are lot many things that can be done.
The required configuration settings can be done in SPRO settings.
Start from the SAP E-Recruiting link and follow the sub links below one by one to get in more details.
Check with the below link to understand entire eRecruiting from end to end

E-recruiting - functions in Dashboard worklist

Hi,
Within the New Applications worklist of the e-recruiting Dashboard, there are three pushbuttons available - Remove from list, Activities and Search for requisitions. These are controlled throught functions within the function profiles in configuration. However, the function profile MACTND only contains two functions (Activities - ACTIV and Search for Requisitions - SEARCHREQ). Does anyone know where the Remove from List function is called from? This is not in configuration so how is it made available on the user interface.

Hi Jim,
Whether the 'Remove' button is displayed is determined by the work list area and selection profile in table 'T77RCF_WL_SEL_P'. you can get the Type of Source of Selection from this table according to the work list area and selection profile. if the Type of Source of Selection is 2 (Index Table), the 'Remove' button will display. Also you can check method :CL_HRRCF_WORKLIST_V->GET_LAYOUT_DATA, line 93 to check the detail information.

Functionality & configuration of dunning

I need to understand the functionality of dunning and its related configuration steps.

let me put it in simple terms:
1) You have a Customer which you had felt, he is doing good business and supplied material on Credit of 45 days.
2) Since this customer is good as you felt, you have not managed Credit Checks as well. So, he had comfortably reached to the fullest credit (or even more) which you can afford for any customer.
3) One fine day you got realised that, there is very bad debt with this customer and need to recover from him and till then, there will be no further supply to the customer.
4) Your company's legal department has laid a policy that, inorder to recover any bad debts, like:
a) We will send a normal payment reminder.
b) In case customer doesnt respond, we will send at least further reminder (dunning notice) may be 9 times
(9 reminders) (Dunning level) and what intervels of time (dunning frequency)
c) Still if the customer doesnt resopond for the reminders, you will file a law suit against the customer for recovering
the Payments.
d) Finally, after getting veridict, you may proceed for auction of his property or as per the order for Law.
Now in SAP, the definition of Dunning procedure is a pre-defined procedure specifying how customers or vendors are dunned.
For each procedure, the user defines
- Number of dunning levels
- Dunning frequency
- Amount limits
- Texts for the dunning notices
In SAP, you will maintain the Dunning Procedure at customer master. Referring to this your SD Team / FI Team (user team) will effect Dunning

E-Recruiting search configuration

Hi,
We are using Erec 600 and TREX 7.0. I have configured the python for Erecruitment search no SES.
My intention is to Search both Objects and Documents.
I have followed all the steps and I am able to search the documents. But I not able to find candidate if there is no document attached.(with his record)
First of all I want some clarification like without SES can I search the Objects?
If yes where should I go and troubleshoot?
If SES is required for objects search do I need EREC release 603?
Any suggestions on this....

Hi,
to answer your question if it is possible to replace the TREX search by enterprise search in the currently available e-recruiting realeases. No it is not! E-Recruiting only supports TREX with the two variants python extensions for releases lower than EhP3 and SES search for EhP 3 and higher.
I'd say that even SAp can't really tell you what happens in 2015 ;o)

Functional Configuration for Barcode

Dear Experts,
I would like to know about the BARCODE Configuration.
I know that BARCODE can be configured also by Technical Consultant using SAPSCRIPT or SMARTFORMS using the TCode SPAD.
Here, am looking for the configuration which can be done by functionally.
I have searched plenty of documents but I got all about technical details only. Please guide me to configure the BARCODE using functional steps.

Thank you for showing the right path. Here, the configurations are with Warehouse Management. Is it possible to configure without WM module.
The exact scenario is that, we buy products from the subcontractors i.e., trading goods and we sell the same goods using our brand name. So, we need to stick the Barcode sticker on the material and while dispatching end user will deliver the products once he read the Barcode using the scanner. We don't store the products in go down or warehouse.
I hope you understood my scenario.

Can any one tell me what are the difference between 4.7 EE and ECC 5 / 6 FROM SD Functional configuartion persective.

After opening the site, please select the Source Release Version which is 4.7 Then Select the Target Release Version which is "mySAP ERP 2004" or ECC 5.0
or "mySAP ERP 2005" or ECC 6.0
Select the Solution Area like Sales....
Select module like SD.......
Click on Search
Then it displays the Release Version and the Delta Functionality. which can be downloaded to a word document if required.
and also check the release notes of ECC 5.0 & ECC 6.0 in service.sap.com.

E-Recruiting - Manager Requisition

Hi,
I know that the Manger can create a New Requisition Request trough Manager Self-Service with Adobe Interactive Forms but, this involves Adobe licences.
If I don't use the MSS, can I create a "new view" for the manager based on the Recruiter WDA Application.
We are on EHP4.

Hello Daniel,
i think some things were mixed up here. As you are on EhP4 there are no startpages (except the candidate ones) anymore. For any reason SAP did not find it was necessary to migrate the standalone requisition request scenario from BSP to WebDynpro. I heard the issue with the needed ADS and RM licences from different customers as these licences can cost more than the e-recruiting licence and the rollout. According to my stand of knowlegde there are currently no chances that the scenario for requisition request by manager w/o MSS and HCMPF will be brough back with a future EHP5 or EhP4 SP4.
I think in your initial post you refered to the standalone requisition create application for recruiters which exists outside of the floor plan manager in EhP4. I have seen this application been called directly over a link, so it should be able to be included in portal as view. But you will have to live with some restrictions. The creator will get the recruiter instead of the manager role on requisition creation as it is a recruiter solution. Furthermore you won't have the "pass to recruiter" functionality from BSP and of course the approval scenario is not there. Last but not least you will probably need some bigger WD configuration to get it in a form the manager can handle.
Other option might be a customer development based on the recruiter solution which ensures that the creator get role manager and which avoids all othe restrictions which effect your rollout.
Theoretically there is still the BSP version which still exists and could be used in a portal view but is no longer supported. I cannot exactly say how far it is still compatible. At least the publication management was changed before the BSP development was stopped (this change was done for one of my customers and then transported in an EhP3 system). I cannot say if there were similar solutions for other customers. So I cannot recomment to youse the BSP on a long term scale.

Running MSS E-Recruiting EhP3 with separate instances

We are trying to configure the EhP3 MSS E-Recruiting functionality and are running into some issues. I belive this is due to running E-Rec on a separate box from our ECC system. As I have been able to determine, the Requisition Monitor is using HR Processes and Forms. We have this in ECC but not on our E-Recruiting box. Do we need to install it on the E-Recruiting box? What components would need to be installed?
Any advice would be appreciated.

even if you use the standalone installation scenario the e-recruiting mss scenarios are run on the ecc server. The requisition request and approval scenario uses processes and forms running on the ecc server. Once the request / approval process is completed in the ecc system creates the requsition via rfc based on the data in the form in the standalone e-recruiting server.
Also the mss scenario for evaluation candidates as manager via questionairs runs in ECC. The scenario reads the data via RFC from the e-recruiting server.
So you just have to link the servers themss configuration stays in ECC box.

Responsibility of functional consultant in ESS/MSS:- Functional configuration under SPRO > Employee self service and manager self service, then preparation of Functional specification design (FSD) if any deviation from standard SAP, Unit test plan preparation and all functionailty testing
Responsibility of Technical consultant:- Preparation of Technical specification design document (TSD), activation of work flow and creation of workflow if additional is required. Creatio of form like vacancy requisition form, new position creation form etc.
Also some kind of technical configuration is there in SPRO for workflow and form

Issue with AIA XPath Functions while compiling in JDeveloper 11.1.1.2.0

I got latest aia.jar from server(SOA11.1.1.2, weblogic 10.3.2, AIA11gR1) and added aia.jar @ JDeveloper 11.1.1.2--> Tools--> Preferences--> SOA
I also added it in jdeveloper/lib, jdeveloper/jdev/lib
aia namespace is there in .bpel as : xmlns:aia="http://www.oracle.com/XSL/Transform/java/oracle.apps.aia.core.xpath.AIAFunctions"

You have to include the aia.jar file. I had same issue .. I had aia.jar included in the project but the file was not ther ein the path . so i updated the correct path .. it worked

Lost BT Modem Function with N95

Until I did a SECOND Firmware upgrade (first was to 20.0.015, second to 21.0.016), I was able to use my N95 as a modem via BT with my Palm TX. Now, when I attempt to connect, a BT connection is established followed by a 3G/3.5G data connection visible on the N95's screen as the solid bi-directional arrows. However, as my Palm is doing it's "Signing On" routine, I notice that the N95 data connection drops. Every single time at the same place in the sign-on. This is followed by a "Time Out" message on the Palm.
If I have the Connection Manager open to Active Connections while trying to make the Modem Connection, "Modem Connecting" does appear for several encouraging seconds, but then disappears as the data connection fails.
I've received new configurations from my provider, and internet connectivity is fine directly from the N95 alone. I can't explain why the Palm can make the BT connection, generate an initial 3G data connection, yet fail at what appears to be the final stage of authentication. My Palm configuration has NOT changed. There are no error messages from the N95, and only the "PPP timeout" from the Palm.
Ideas?

As we both suspected, it was the N95. Nothing to do with the Palm, on which nothing had been changed. Basically, my O2 support tech had me manually create a new AP. It differed only slightly from the original one I created (with O2 direction) when I initially set the phone up. But, both manual configurations were completely different from automated configurations delivered to me via SMS.
The slight difference between the two manual configurations? Explicitly specified DNS IP addresses.
So, that put all to right, and to great relief. I should have stopped there, but NO! I decided to DELETE what I assumed to be the non-functional configuration (supplied via SMS). After having done so, my N95 continued to work as a modem, but my Truphone wizard couldn't "see" my manually created 3G AP! So, I re-saved my SMS-delivered configuration, and this resulted in a 3G AP which is visible to and works with Truphone. I still don't understand what about the manual configuration renders it "invisible" to Truphone -- other applications (Google Mail, browser) cab see it just fine.
So, now, things are working as usual. None of this was intuitive. I'll see how this works when roaming outside of O2's network.

TREX not working for e-recruiting with HTTP content server

We have a separate e-recruiting instance where we have only e-recruiting functionality installed. In this system we are using Storate type as "http content server instead of standard setting "SAP system database" for HR_KW content repository via transaction code "OAC0"
Following are the details
Document Area: HR_KW
Storage type : HTTP Content Server
Version no. 0046 Content Server version 4.6
HTTP server vd24cs02.sce.com
Port Number 8080 SSL Port Number
HTTP Script archive
Phys. path /usr/sap/N09/SYS/global/
Points to be noted:
1) TREX Search functionality for Job postings etc is not
working with this setting, however if we use HR_KW_CONT (storage type=03 SAP System database) , above mentioned functionalities work. We observed that xml files required for TREX search are also not getting created when we change the settings.
2) We observed that when we change the storage type the indexing job is successful but application log shows some failures in reading/modifying xml files
Please let me know what are the settings/ procedure to use a different storage type instead of standard setting delivered with the product. Anything related to the setting for above requirement
