i'd like to connect my e51 to a wifi network that use odyssey radius server 802.1x http://www.funk.com.au/funk/
is there a way to configure it?
thanks

Hello,
thanks for your link. Of course I will read. CiscoTac think that we have bug CSCtq32145 and we are working in this way.

  • Interactive report performance problem over database link - Oracle Gateway

    Hello all;
This is regarding a thread Interactive report performance problem over database link that was posted by Samo.
The issue that I am facing is when I use Oracle function like (apex_item.check_box) the query slow down by 45 seconds.
query like this: (due to sensitivity issue, I can not disclose real table name)
    SELECT apex_item.checkbox(1,b.col3)
    , a.col1
    , a.col2
    FROM table_one a
    , table_two b
    WHERE a.col3 = 12345
    AND a.col4 = 100
    AND b.col5 = a.col5
table_one and table_two are remote tables (non-oracle) which are connected using Oracle Gateway.
Now if I run above queries without apex_item.checkbox function the query return or response is less than a second but if I have apex_item.checkbox then the query run more than 30 seconds. I have resolved the issues by creating a collection but it’s not a good practice.
I would like to get ideas from people how to resolve or speed-up the query?
Any idea how to use sub-factoring for the above scenario? Or others method (creating view or materialized view are not an option).
    Thank you.
    Shaun S.

    Hi Shaun
Okay, I have a million questions (could you tell me if both tables are from the same remote source, it looks like they're possibly not?), but let's just try some things first.
By now you should understand the idea of what I termed 'sub-factoring' in a previous post. This is to do with using the WITH blah AS (SELECT... syntax. Now in most circumstances this 'materialises' the results of the inner select statement. This means that we 'get' the results then do something with them afterwards. It's a handy trick when dealing with remote sites as sometimes you want the remote database to do the work. The reason that I ask you to use the MATERIALIZE hint for testing is just to force this, in 99.99% of cases this can be removed later. Using the WITH statement is also handled differently to inline view like SELECT * FROM (SELECT... but the same result can be mimicked with a NO_MERGE hint.
Looking at your case I would be interested to see what the explain plan and results would be for something like the following two statements (sorry - you're going have to check them, it's late!)
    WITH a AS
    (SELECT /*+ MATERIALIZE */ *
    FROM table_one),
    b AS
    (SELECT /*+ MATERIALIZE */ *
    FROM table_two),
    sourceqry AS
    (SELECT  b.col3 x
           , a.col1 y
           , a.col2 z
    FROM table_one a
        , table_two b
    WHERE a.col3 = 12345
    AND   a.col4 = 100
    AND   b.col5 = a.col5)
    SELECT apex_item.checkbox(1,x), y , z
    FROM sourceqry
    WITH a AS
    (SELECT /*+ MATERIALIZE */ *
    FROM table_one),
    b AS
    (SELECT /*+ MATERIALIZE */ *
    FROM table_two)
    SELECT  apex_item.checkbox(1,x), y , z
    FROM table_one a
        , table_two b
    WHERE a.col3 = 12345
    AND   a.col4 = 100
AND   b.col5 = a.col5If the remote tables are at the same site, then you should have the same results. If they aren't you should get the same results but different to the original query.
We aren't being told the real cardinality of the inners select here so the explain plan is distorted (this is normal for queries on remote and especially non-oracle sites). This hinders tuning normally but I don't think this is your problem at all. How many distinct values do you normally get of the column aliased 'x' and how many rows are normally returned in total? Also how are you testing response times, in APEX, SQL Developer, Toad SQLplus etc?
Sorry for all the questions but it helps to answer the question, if I can.
    Cheers
    Ben

  • 802.1X for wired environments using Radius/ACS for Dynamic Vlan Assignment

    Currently Being Moderated
802.1X for wired environments  using Radius/ACS for Dynamic Vlan Assignment
Could someone please provide me with a simplest set of configuration steps to fire up Radius in ACS and 802.1X for dynamic vlan assignment. The objective is to roll out NAC L2 OOB using the 802.1X method for dymamic vlan assignments.
    If possible show:
    1. ACS/Radius Configurations.
    2. End User Switch Configurations
    Variables:
    Switch A
    MAC Address aaaa.bbbb.cccc     Vlan 10
                bbbb.cccc.dddd     Vlan 20
Also, if someone posts the Pros and Cons of using Radius/ACS/802.1X for Dynamic Vlan Assignments.
Other technology sets that can be used for Dynamic Vlan assignment EXCEPT from deprecated/obsolete VMPS.
    Thanks in advance. .

    Hi Guys,
Hmmm, well if your just looking for Mac based authentication the good news is that is very easy.  Just set create your Radius server, ACS, FreeRadius, Steelbelted radius etc.  Then create user with the name of the Mac address, in other words if the mac address is 0012.0021.1122 the the name would be 001200211122 and the password would be the mac address.  Then you set the vlan and tunnel stuff, like so tunnel-Type would be vlan, Tunnel-medium would be 802 and Tunnel-Private-Group-ID is the name of the vlan(not the vlan number)
So for the Cisco ACS 4.x you would create a user as specified above, fill in all the password boxes with MAC address, I believe the mac has to be all lower case in the name and the password.  Then check the Separate(Chap/MS-Chap/ARAP) box.  Then you pick the group the machine belongs to, the group is the part that defines what vlan it is on.
Before you create the user, create the group with info I wrote above and in addition specify the Service-Type as Authenticate Only.
Freeradius is a bit harder to configure the specifics and I am just now testing a freeradius server so I do not know the process for Machine authentication.
If, however, you are trying to authenticate a user that gets a bit trickier and is not so straight forward.

  • Syncing problem over cloud for all my devices

I have severe syncing problems over the cloud with all iWorks apps (Pages, Numbers, Keynote) across ALL my devices (iMac, MacBook, iPad2, IPhone4) and even on web: It JUST DOESN'T WORK!!!
Internet works perfectly, Docs sync is set to ON in every device, but since 6 October 2012, syncing was stoped for unknonw reasons.
I tried to find someone to contact for by email, but it was impossible. So I ended up here ...
    Can help someone?

For each device, backup first, then on the device use Settings > General > Software Update. Each one still has to download the update individually, but they are smaller files so should download more reliably.

  • 802.1x with ACS 4.2 (RADIUS) problem

    HI all!
I am trying to configure AAA authentication and authorization with Cisco 3725 (IOS 12.4(17)) for 802.1x and ACS 4.2 with VLAN assignment to my Windows XP client. (trying to assign VLAN 100 in my scenario).

I've tried multiple ways to cope with this problem but nothing was helpfull...
    Tunnel-Medium-Type  [65]  6   01:ALL_802
I use only ACS Radius attributes and chose ony what ACS allows me to choose (Tunnel-medium-type: 802).
    Screenshot n attachment.
The same situation occurs when i try to use some Vendor Specific Attributes (Cisco-AV-Pair)  - downloadable ACEs to my user, and again, i see Radius attributes in my debug but nothing is applied to my L3 Switch.
    What am i missing?

  • Windows XP built-in 802.1x supplicant problem

Hi, we are deploying PEAP for wireless access, we had no problem to get this working with laptop vendor supplied wireless management software (which includes 802.1x supplicant), but when I switch to Windows Zero configuration and let Windows XP management wireless, the laptop can not associate with wireless SSIDs, back end Radius server (MS IAS) log shows that user (with AD credentials) is successfully authenticated, but Windows XP supplicant seems did not receive authentication successful response from Radius server, and keeps retrying and finally gives up. Any idea what is going on with Windows XP dot1x supplicant? Laptop is running XP SP3.

Not exactly sure what could be the problem. It should be working - it's definitely supported (I'm currently typing this via a XP SP3 machine using PEAP WPA2/AES via WZC). The only things I can think of to check are:
    - Make sure your wireless drivers are up to date *this is a must*
    - Make sure the other supplicant is completely disabled (uninstall it if you really need to rule it out)
    - Try disabling the server certificate check in the WZC profile for this network (do you know for sure that your laptop trusts the IAS server's certificate)?
    - Are you doing machine or user authentication for PEAP - make sure you have the WZC profile properly configured
    - Are you 100% sure that you've configured everything properly for the network (WPA vs WPA2? AES vs. TKIP? etc.)

  • E51 GPRS for email problem

    Hi all,
I recently own E51 and tried to configure mailbox with POP3 settings, everything works perfect with wifi.
But with help of GPRS from service provider I'm unable to download email, it says Incoming mail server not found.!
Same problem persists with other applications like Fring etc.
I need help on why is this happens with GPRS.? Service provider says it should work with the settings provided..
    Regards,
    Aditya

    Hi
Sorry I should of said I use pop3, so in my previous post, that stands for POP3. Go return your cheap phone and get an iPhone, use the excuse that you were mis-sold sold theres no cost to yourself.
You'll love the iPhone. Had mine since 9th November and it is actually the best thing since sliced bread!
Not only is it a gimmicky gadget for all gadget lovers but its functional as well.
    Couple of examples:
My girlfriend wanted to go to a Denby store last night. We were near Leeds, so whilst in the car, she did a quick search and found out there was a retail outlet off Junction 32 in Castleford (Im not from leeds so wouldn't of found it. She also went on the Junction 32 site and found that it was open til 5..... all over GPRS....... all full web pages.
When Im at work I check personal email on iPhone.
I'm getting married and was visiting friends at the weekend (hence I was in leeds) so whilst in the pub on the Sunday, I wanted to show them the venue I've booked. Turned on iPhone, edge was ready and waiting, full site in full display on iphone within about 10 seconds so not too slow.
Had a word document emailed to me containing some terms and conditions. Clicked attachment and could browse the word document whilst away.
Walking to the corner shop used to be boring, not with iPod always in my pocket.

  • 802.1x port authentication and Windows Radius, possible?

    Hello,
I'm just testing at the moment before implementing on our netowrk, but has anyone implemented 802.1x port authentication on there Cisco switch and used a Windows IAS server?  See out users are all all on a Windows domain and I want to authenticate using their active directory credentials.  I think I am fine with the switch config, but it is the Windows IAS/Raduis server.  I have added the switch IP's and secret, but I need to create a policy to accept the domain users and need help.
    Thanks

    Andy:
Yes of course you can use whatever radius server as a AAA server for 802.1x authentication on the switches. NPS, IAS, ACS, Open RADIUS ....etc.
If you have problem with configuring the IAS then I would suggest that you post your quesiton in a microsoft forum and not here. They would be able to better assist you with your issue. But you can still look somewhere in this forum or in google to help yourself.
See this link, it could be useful for you:  https://supportforums.cisco.com/thread/2090403

  • 802.1x authentication problem on C2960S-48TS-L with Linux clients

    Hi,
Due to implementing wired 802.1x in my company I fased with problem of authentication of some Linux computers (Ubuntu 13.10+) via mab at the one of my Access switches(C2960S-48TS-L). The problem exist on IOS 12.55 and 15.0(2)SE6.
It seems that Authenticator can't detect MAC address of supplicant. In debug the MAC address is (Unknown MAC) or (0000.0000.0000).
Before authentication I could see registered MAC address on the switchport interface(without 802.1x settings on the port):
sh mac address-table interface g1/0/2          "before 802.1x authentication"
    Vlan    Mac Address       Type        Ports
       2    0015.990f.60d9    STATIC      Gi1/0/2
The host should get to Vlan 2 after failed authentication(according to port settings). But actually after trying to authenticate the host on this port
loses connection with network and doesn't get in 2 Vlan
sh mac address-table interface g1/0/2              "after 802.1x authentication"

Please help me to resolve this issue

I have removed port security but still have failed authentication on the port

  • 802.1x authentication not trying second Radius server

I have 802.1x setup for portbased authentication on my 3750. I have two identical Radius servers setup and both work when they are the initial server. If I disable the NIC on the first server, it never fails over to the second one. (This only happens with 802.1x, logging directly onto the switch works but just takes longer) What do I need to set to get the radius to failover faster or at all for matter?

  • SPS224 and Windows XP SP3 802.1x supplicant problem

    Hi everybody
We run MS Active Directory based network (Windows Server 2008, MS NPS as RADIUS server) and have Windows XP SP3 and 7 in it. We have a lot of SPS224 (with the latest SW version 1.0.6) as the access switches, and we are trying to implement 802.1x in our network to authenticate users by their AD domain computer accounts. Also, we want to use dynamic VLAN assignment using RADIUS attributes. The authentication by PEAP-MSCHAPv2 works fine on all workstations but we have a problem with the dynamic VLAN assignment in case Windows XP machines are used. The problem is that after a successful authentication and VLAN assignment on a switch port, the Windows XP supplicant is trying to re-authenticate after several seconds. However, the switch port state remains authorized and the workstation does not lose connection. So, the only problem we see is that the state of supplicant does not correspond the switch port state. We have notice that the problem occurs when the "multiple sessions mode" is used (it is needed to enable VLAN  assignment by RADIUS attributes). We have tried the built-in Windows XP SP3 supplicant and Cisco Secure Services Client with the similar result. At the same time, the Windows 7 workstation works just fine, without any problems. Is anybody has faced this problem with Windows XP and has a workaround? Any help will be appreciated!

AES vs. TKIP? etc.)

  • MSI 785GM-E51 and memory modules problems

Could anyone help me with one problem. I have motherboard MSI 785GM-E51 and 4 memory modules GOODRAM GR 1333D364L9/2G. But when I'm inserting ALL modules my system not starting (even POST procedure). So working variants - when I'm inserting:
    - one module in first (boot) slot
    or
    - they inserted in first and third memory slots
    Any ideas?

It is not motherboard problem, but processor itself - I have AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition 3,4 Ghz Core Revision C2 and this revision (according to the article: http://www.fcenter.ru/online.shtml?articles/hardware/processors/27650#02) has problems with support memory modules DDR3-1333 Mhz more than 2 modules. Conclusion - either adjust BIOS settings concerning memory timings and memory controller voltage or replace this kind of processor with the same type but with core revision C3

  • Have this problem over a month now

    Afternoon everyone,
    Where should I start..
About a month ago my hub started resetting itself whenever I used internet, i spoke to numerous amount of people over at the call centre and about 2 weeks after calling them nearly every day they sent openreach engineer over to my house to check whats going on. He did what he had to do inside my house and outside my house, then he did some tests which all said "passed", but hey after the visit i went straight on my computer and checked the speeds which were at about 1mb at the time which still are not good enough considering i had 6-8mb about 3 months ago, anyway back on the subject i contacted bt yet again and they said the line needs to be running few days for the connection to stabilise. A week of waiting and still nonthing speeds the same and my hub was still resetting itself but not as often as it used to. After a week I decided im not going to bother with those useless people in the call centre so I emailed bt and started to explain my problem all over again, first they sent an engineer to my exchange to see whats going on there, still nothing improved after that. They then decided that they should send an engineer again which came to my house yesterday and replaced the master socket and also did other things which i didnt see. He then like the first engineer did some tests and he said that the speed hes getting from the master socket is 9.7mb i was all excited that i finally got back speeds i used to have about 3months ago but hey, went on the computer straight away after the visit and the speeds were at 500kb/s. I had an idea today that maybe i should bring my computer downstairs with the hub and connect it to the master socket but still nothing.. same speeds and the hub is still resetting from time to time, if i counted correctly the hub resetted 7 times today and 4/7 of them resets the hub didnt connect to the broadband for about an hour and on one reset it didnt connect for 4 hours the rest connected in about a minute. This is really going beyond a joke now, really unuhappy with the whole situation which i repeat had for over a MONTH now. Im thinking of changing to another ISP and as bt said if i change from bt to any isp the problem will still remain id prefer to talk to normal people and not the callcentre which as a matter of fact everybody knows is useless and you can barely understand what they are trying to say due to obvious reasons.

  • My MacBook Air keyboard isn't working, except the power button. I had the same problem over the summer and had it repaired ~4 months ago. What should I do?

The keyboard of my 11-inch MacBook Air, purchased in November 2011, isn't working at all. None of the keys respond except the power button. I'm able to restart the computer, and have done so multiple times. I've attempted SMC and PRAM resets, but they haven't worked.
I've never spilled anything on the laptop, haven't stepped on it, and haven't otherwise damaged it ever. I use the laptop very lightly. I only use it to take notes for class, browse the Internet, and watch movies. I don't download anything but PDFs, PowerPoints, images, and Word documents. I don't even have music on it. So I don't think I had any part in creating the problem.
I had this same problem with my laptop over the summer, and I took it into the Apple Store to get it repaired for $200. They told me that they didn't know the cause of the problem. I think they replaced the bottom half of my laptop entirely (receipt says there's a new "Housing, Top Case with Keyboard, US") and told me the problem was fixed. This was on June 30. The laptop keyboard stopped working again today, October 19. I called Apple Support and they told me that I would have to pay for the repair again because it's been 90 days since the last repair. I'm annoyed and upset that I have to pay $200 again to re-repair a problem that should've been properly fixed the first time. Plus, if the problem keeps happening despite multiple repairs, I can't afford to keep getting the laptop repaired over and over again due to the Apple employees' incompetence.
Does anyone have any advice on how to fix the laptop? I'm a grad student and don't have the funds to pay for another repair, and there's no way for me to get to an Apple Store without hiring a car service, so I'm trying to avoid going to the store if possible. Thank you.

Get the new keyboard at eBay and replace by yourself may be cheaper way, though you're required higher skill and well know about MacBook Air.
