E61i E-mail settings "send copy to self" issue wit...

After upgrading to latest firmware on my E61i, I cannot use 'send copy to self' feature in e-mail setting. If I set it to 'yes', mails are not sent. If I set it to 'no' then I have no copy of my sent mails on my pc since synchronisation does not work for e-mails. Any suggestion? thanks.

  • Mail cannot send due to Certificate issue

    Background:
iCloud mail previously working on OS X 10.8.4 Mac mini server.
Use the mail account to relay status message from remotely-hosted server.
    Problem:
Mail notifications stopped abruptly in past few weeks. Tonight poking around via Screen
Sharing noted the following error message on unsent mail within Mail app:
    Attempted solutions:
    Repair keychain
Deleted two Apple-issued certs that were on 'Revocation List'
Sign out of iCloud within Mail and System Preferences / iCloud then log in again
Manually deleted iCloud account and re-added within Mail
    Rebooted mac -- repaired permissions
So far, no resolution.  Another mail account on same computer is working fine with no issues.
What else am I missing here?  Any help is much appreciated

    Hi,
How about the issue after assigning all services with the new cerficate?
If it still exists, I'd like to confirm if the certificate alert happens on all Outlook clients.
As far as I know, to ensure self signed certificate work, we usually install the certificate on all our clients. Thus, I recommend you delete it and reconfigure your profile to have a test.
If you have any question, please feel free to let me know.

  • RECIPIENT DESCRIPTION IN BDF and SEND COPY TO ATTRIBUTE ON FIELD

I have a field that is 20 bytes long has the "send copy to " attribute selected.
My BDF has a recipient INS and the description is "INSURED COPY"  Data prints in field as "INSURED.COPY........" (where periods are spaces)  I actually want the information to print as "....INSURED.COPY...." so that it displays centered in the field.  I used to be able to put spaces before the recipient's description in 11.3 by using the <RECIP_NAMES> and added the required spaces before the actual description. Doing this I could force the information to be centered for each recipient, even though one recipient might be "AGENT COPY" and another might be "HOMEOFFICE COPY", I could force the information to be centered by adding extra spaces in the description.
Now, in release 12.2, I can not add spaces before the recipient description in the BDF.  Every time I add spaces prior to the description Documaker strips them out. Is there some other way to center the recipient description in the field? Can I add the JUSTFLD rule to a field that has "send copy to" attribute selected?
I was able to do the alt+0160 to force a description field to be spaces but I don't think I can add more than one alt+0160 to the description.
Thanks in advance for any help with this!

Just to confirm have gone through here Menu > Messaging > "gmail or yahoo wwhatever it is" > options > E-mail settings > User settings > Send copy to self

  • HT3309 Share mail settings with new user account on the same mac?

I have had to set-up a new user account on my mbp to use a new piece of software which refused to work on the main user account. I want to transfer the mail settings from the original one simply so that mail opens in an identical way whichever account I'm siging in with.

    Oops.
If you just need Mail settings, only copy
    ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.mail.plist
    All the messages are in
    ~/Library/Mail

  • Send e-mail settings to smartphone via service messages?

    Good Day,
Is it possible to send e-mail settings to a blackberry phone via some form of service message so the phone user does not have to manually set it up?
We recently had to reinstall our Exchange server and are now having to change the e-mail settings on all our staff members phone's, however, some of these staff members are not in the same city as I.T. support and as the staff members are not very computer/smartphone literate, it will be difficult for us to walk them through on how to change the e-mail settings, especially if the autodiscovery does not report the settings correctly to the phone and the domain/server settings has to be entered manually.
One staff member in particular, has a Blackberry curve 9300.
Any suggestion's will be appreciated as we would prefer to, as well as in the future, be able to update the phones with the necissary settings by means of some form of service message rather than error prone manual intervention.

OK...then the answer is, well, maybe. It would require compromise of your security ethics.
One way to do what you desire is for you to log into the users BIS account on their carriers BIS website and configure the email account there...doing so would, of course, require you to know the users BIS credentials. Of course, this also would require that the carrier actually have such a website...not all do.
Another way would be to ring up the users carrier and impersonate the user, and have the carrier agent configure the email account.
If the employer provides the devices as well as the service plan to the user, then I suppose the security compromise required is less since, technically, both belong to the company, not the user. But, if these are BYOD devices and/or the carrier account does not belong to the employer, then you would be in essence hacking into the users account to accomplish this.
    Good luck!

I was having trouble sending to hotmail accounts from my Earthlink account, they had me go into Mac Mail preferences and make changes (because they claimed it was Mac Mail's fault, even though the hotmail error code said it's because Earthlink is blocked by hotmail), now Mac Mail doesn't work AT ALL - any help changing the settings back to correct Mac Mail settings? I can provide a transcript of the entire tech chat session, if that will help...

both apostrophes are used correctly, thanks

  • My Ipad 2 was working fine, after  syncronizing with iTunes the contacts App froze completely, in the Settings everything works, but if you go to the mail settings they the settings freeze. I can't send Emails. I am using outlook, anybody has an answer?

My Ipad 2 was working fine, after syncronizing with iTunes the contacts App froze completely, in the Settings everything works fine but if you go to the mail settings the entitre settings freezes. I am usng Outlook but can't send mails.  Any body has a solution?

    Update to above question:
    Hello All,
To anyone with the same problem described above, on THEIR iPad (if it is running iOS 7.0.2):
Go to Settings; Mail, Contacts, Calendars; DELETE your *******@btinternet.com e-mail account, that you originally set up either using 'Other', or the 'BT' option which I am sure was in the list previous to the iOS 7 update.
Then ADD a NEW account choosing YAHOO from the list of options. DO NOT USE 'OTHER'.
Enter the correct details just as you (almost certainly) had already done in your previous attempts using 'other'.
When you see the 'verifying......' and 'the blue ticks' you should be able to exit settings and open your mail app and then receive all your 'old' e-mails again, AND be able to SEND as well.
All my 'old' e-mails, were NOT found in the 'old e-mail' folder though. THEY are still in my inbox.
So this fix worked for me.
After I deleted my account from 'OTHER' and put it in Yahoo, I like other people also ended up with more folders.
I hope this works for you on YOUR Apple devices.
    Bob

  • Outgoing mail not sending - ISP has verified correct settings

The outgoing email on my IMAC is not working - unable to send - my ISP has confirmed the settings are correct - incoming emails working properly.

    Hi Scanners67,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like you're not able to send email from your ISPs mail server on your iMac.
There could be several causes of the behavior. I would start with the troubleshooting steps in the "Mail Connection Doctor shows one or more red dots in the account Status column" section of this article:
OS X Mail: Troubleshooting sending and receiving email messages
This article contains a variety of steps that can help resolve an issue like the one you're seeing.
    All the best,
    Jeremy

i have added my company e-mail add into my MacBook , i recive e-mails but i cant send e-mails , anyone knows why ? i have tried all options in outgoing mail settings but it wont work !!

    Hello,
    The receiving email ports are:
    IMAP is port 143
    IMAP-SSL is port 993
    POP is port 110
    POP-SSL is port 995
    Outgoing ports are...
SMTP and SMTP-SSL is on ports 25, 587 and 465. Port 587 has to be SSL, and port 465 is enforced TLS-wrapped and is generally used by Outlook users.

  • We had a contaminated email and now we cannot send emails . our service provider thinks problem in 'mail' settings but did not want to get into that area. Can you advise how we look into this

we had a contaminated email and now we cannot send emails.  Our service provider advises that 'Mail' settings may be compromised.  but were not willing to get into resetting.   How can this be fixed ?

    jenfromwa wrote:

Not exactly sure what you mean by contaminated, but there is currently no known e-mail that could impact the Apple Mail application as you have described.
Without knowing who your e-mail provider is and what type of account (IMAP or POP3) we can't advise you as to what those settings might be.
One way to fix it would be to delete the account from Apple Mail Preferences->Accounts and add it back.

  • Why does my iphone send me a copy of every e-mail I send?

I have looked at the mail settings, and I can't seem to figure out how to make it stop sending me every e-mail that I send to others, but I have the Bcc turned OFF. I don't think I can control it through my gmail account either. I don't know, if anyone can help that would be cool. Thanks.

I know this was already mentioned but thought I would post the knowledge article as well for anyone wanting to see this information.

Hi, I never tried going backwards with it, but the files/folders involved for 10.4 anyway are...
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.mail.plist
    Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail
    Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail Downloads
(Could be a different folder here if you chose such in Mail Prefs)
    For Address Book...
    Files...
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.AddressBook.plist
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.AddressBook.abd.plist
    Folders...

  • Copying Over Mail Settings

I used the MIGRATION UTILITY but of course, since I named my account  in the new machine, it did copy over all my files but it placed them in a temp "user" but now I can't figure out which folders I need to get all my mail settimgs all up & running - so while I can redo the migration, I'd rather just be able to copy  the mail over - possible? Thanks.
(while not the same as mail, can I copy over all my mozilla/firefox passwords without having to redo the migration?) Thanks.

Locations may be slightly different, but...
First Quit Mail, then copy over...
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.mail.plist
    On Firefox...
