E71 Windows Live Messenger

Does anyone know if it is possible to have your Windows Live Messenger emails automatically retrieved instead of having to manually syncronise them?

Is your password saved? or are you putting your password every time you connect it? I didn't select the remember password option so I put the password every time I've to sync, I don't seem if there is an option for making it automatic, may be it works if we save the password.

The Symbian S60 version of Windows Live Messenger from "Download!" rather cheeky charges you £1.50 (GBP) per month or the equivalent in your local currency, after a trial and as I recall is billed via premium rated SMS messages.
Its not free, and changing your handset may not help to bag some extra fee months. The service appears to be locked to your telephone number.
I personally would like it to be free, the fact that you mainly have to use data to talk to your IM contacts, means you have to pay twice.
Note to those who decided to charge: I'll refrain from using it until you make the S60 version always free.

Windows Live Messenger & Ovi

Hello. Where can I find the Windows Live Messenger app for Nokia N78? According to http://europe.nokia.com/get-support-and-software/download-software/windows-live/compatibility-downlo... my devise is compatible. But the instructions wont help because "Download!" on my N78 (30.011) shows (refresh) only the Ovi store app, which Ovi store btw says my phone is Not compatible with WLMessenger... Also Ovi Store app on N78 wont work correcly, after some pages view it freezes. So confused

Oke, we carry on. Is your phone branded to a Service Provider? If it is and your SP does not support LM then it's not included in the firmware and you can't download it from OVI store. Did you search the internet? I found it.

How do you to sync your or msn mail and run windows live messenger on 8900????

Hi peeps again, previously i was using E71 and synchronizing msn with E71 is just so easy plus window live messenger was already pre-installed on that device so i didnt have probs with it however when it comes to BB 8900, it so complicated to sync and install software. my 8900 is currently running on v4.6.1.250 (Platform 4.2.0.113)
1) What should i do when my 8900 shows "Service not enabled for this handheld." when trying to launch MSN after typing the password and E-mail address?
2) How to you sync your PERSONAL E-Mail with your blackberry? I've tried using the "E-mail setup" but it only give me one option which is "i want to use a work email account with a blackberry enterprise service"

Songs don't show up in Windows Live Messenger after itunes 7.0.1 update

The topic line pretty much says it all. I've checked the settings in Messenger. I'm not sure the songs are supposed to show up in Messenger from itunes, but they always have and I like that feature.
Since updating itunes from 7.0 to 7.0.1 this feature doesn't work. I wonder why apple doesn't test their stuff before releasing it anymore. They're getting as bad as Microsoft anymore, which is a shame. I'm referring mainly to the larger problems with itunes 7 rather than my petty problem here.

in windows live messenger (msn 8.0) go 2 tool>options & make sure the show song information from WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER as a personal messeger box is ticked!
then sign out of the messenger, close it & itunes, then open up windows live messenger, sign in, then open itunes @ start playing ur songs!
this worked for me. hope it works for u.

Lose connection to E1000 when using Windows Live Messenger

I have a laptop running Vista which connects to the Internet through my Linksys E1000 wireless router. We have installed Windows Live Messenger, v2011 on the laptop, but whenever we try to login, the E1000 appears to crash. It is still running, but we cannot get an Internet connection on any computer in the house. I must then reboot the E1000 and the DSL modem in order to restore the Internet connection. I spoke with Linksys technical support for over an hour, and tried different things, but the E1000 continues to crash when Windows Live Messenger is used. The technical support person suggested that I may need to investigate "port forwarding" for WLM. Could this be the problem? And if I find out which ports are used by WLM, and open these on the E1000, might this solve the problem? We also tried using WLM from a different computer that uses the E1000 for internet access, and the same problem occurred.

Firefox will not open from the start menu or the taskbar, but WILL open when called from Windows Live Messenger

This started a couple weeks ago, but doesn't seem to coincide with any other installations or reconfigurations, so I'm having trouble getting at the root cause.
The first time I run Firefox after installing, it runs fine (complete with a full list of add-ons.) If I then close FF and try to start it from the task bar or start menu, nothing happens. I've tried starting in safe mode (shift+FF), but get the same result. I've restored FF to all the default settings, disabled all my plugins and add ons, but no change.
The really odd part is that if I click the 'Inbox' link in my Windows Live Messenger, FF opens perfectly. This made me think that it was my homepage causing the issue, but A: I can go to that page without problems once FF has started from WLM, and B: even if I use the FF default homepage or google.com, I get the same problem. Furthermore, if I restart FF from within FF (like after I disable/enable an add-on), it will also start properly.
No crash report is generated by FF when it fails to load, but Windows catches the problem in it's event log. I've pasted the contents of that record at the bottom in the hopes that someone can take a stab at what's wrong.
Finally, I've already run through the online crash help, but everything is either not related (since FF will start if called indirectly) or has already been prevented (absolutely no add-ons are running at the moment.)

I have exactly the same issue. After FF upgraded on its own to version 5, it won't open from start menu, taskbar, desktop icon, or even by pressing firefox.exe in program files directory. It does so by pressing a link at msn messenger, inside Outlook etc.
Disabling all addons, didn't help. Moreover, I can't start FF in safe mode or start profile manager (Start > Run> firefox.exe -ProfileManager).

Error with windows live messenger

I tried to update msn messenger yesterday! and since then msn has gone from my phone and in My world the app just says starting download! but has been doing that for 24hrs. Ive had no problems downloading anything else. I cant do anything with it either!!! like start again or go back ....Thanks for any help...

Try this -
When you device is POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery. This make a reboot to your device which minor issues with the BlackBerry device.
After performing about try downloading the Windows Live Messenger again.

Windows live messenger disconnection on nokia 6022...

Hi up until recently I could log into windows live messenger on my mobile, now when I log in I get a error 201 and a message say that "you were disconnected from windows live messenger - server initiated disconnect" then asks if I want to connect again. I have searched the net for a answer to how I can get back on messenger but no answer anywhere. Can anyone help me?

i believe we are talking about 6220 Classic right?
have you checked "Download"? have you tried to update "Download" as well, if it is not showing there?
the other things is if your 6220 is network locked, you might have some restrictions on the apps availability and usage, try to ask your service provider...
if certificate error is shown, try to check the "Application Manager" and see Settings and make sure "Software installation is set to ALL, and Online certificate is also "OFF"

Nokia 5800 windows live messenger

many times i have tried 2 install windows live messenger in my nokia 5800 but it says expired certifiacte . where can i dwnload the messenger for free which works

I have a Nokia 5800, I got it in the first week that it was released in the UK. (Just in case it's a particular version.)
I have got the official Windows Live Messenger application, it installed without any problems whatsoever.
But, I have a really weird problem. This is what happens...
I open the application.
It shows me the sign in screen.
I click the textbox and start to enter my email address... I get about half way through entering it then....
My phone instantly turns off and the screen fades away!
It isn't always the same place where I am editing text, but it's always in the sign in process.
I haven't a clue why this happens, it has never happened in any other application, but happens every time with Messenger?!?!
(Before anyone asks: Yes, my phone was charged.)

Does anyone recommend a program i can install so i can still contact my windows live messenger contacts without compromising my mac?

I am the proud new owner of a macbook pro and am lovin it! I used to talk with family and friends on windows live messenger but am not sure whether to download the mac version at microsoft incase of compromising the system and unfortunately IChat doesn't work with messenger contacts. Does anyone have any advise on the mac version of messenger or is there an alternative program that i can download which may work better? Thanks to anyone who may be able to advise me.

Welcome to the Mac world! You can certainly download Messenger - there's no reason it should compromise your system. You could also look at Adium, which is MSN-compatible.

Windows live messenger disappeared?

Yesterday I accidentally hid windows live messenger but then I found the way to get it back by pressing show all.
But today I went to go on the application and it wasn't anywhere, I tried to press the show all button again but it wasn't there when I clicked the menu key.
I then tried to re download it and it didn't change anything.
Does anyone no what could of happened or how to fix this? Thank you.

1. On your homescreen, press the Menu key > SHOW ALL, so that SHOW ALL is checked.
When and if you see it, click the Menu key again > unhide.

2. Look in EACH folder on your device... Applications, Instant Messengers, Downloads, etc.
If you still don't see it, look at Options > Advanced > Applications. Do you see it listed there?
You might have accidentally moved it to a folder.

WM6 Windows Live Messenger contacts problem

When I sign onto Windows Live Messenger with my Palm 750 WM6, my contact list shows Online(0), Offline(0). I can't send IM to anybody on my contacts unless somebody started a conversation for me to reply to. Does anyone has this problem? TIA

I have downloaded it from ovi store,
there is two things need to fix ,
1- some words and sentences cut ! Or not complete inside the chat , I cant understand it ، I always have to ask to repet in different way ، so I can understand
Example1 :
Correct :اسيرياي ‏ = wrong: يرياي
Example2 :
Correct :خيوت ‏  ‏ = wrong: وت
2 - personal message (arabic) display in opposite direction ,
Example :
Correct:معتز ‏ ‏ ‎ = wrong: زتعم

V1.0 and V1.1 was ok in chating
but also the personal message and names wasn't ok
help me please (((
