Early termination and trading in device for a credit?

In May of last year (May 2014) they had a think going on where when you upgraded your phone you were eligible to get a free tablet (with agreement of a 2 year additional contract) so i bought it for my Husband at the time for Fathers Day (i go the Samsung Galaxy tablet) and opened it up in my name. Well since we recently divorced he gave me back the tablet and now im responsible for the payment every month for a tablet i dont even use. So i wanna know if i do the early termination and cancel my plan and pay the fee can i trade in the tablet and receive some kind of credit that i can use towards the fee? And do i have to pay anything back because the tablet was free?

Once you pay the ETF for that tablet, it's yours.  You can try to sell it to make some money, but I cannot think of any quick flip without the wait.  i cannot think of any program allowing a trade-in of a tablet right now.  You could try an AOL/assumption of liability but I'm doubting that will be agreed upon given your situation.  I am not sure how a termination of a free tablet on promo in connection with a 2 year agreement for phone service might work.

Well first you need to sync your iPhone 4 with your Mac/PC so that it will transfer all your music, apps, podcasts, etc. Then sync your iPod Touch and the media you selected during the sync should be there on your iPhone. If you have difficulty in transferring media from iPhone to your computer, try softwares like TransCopy. They will help in transferring data from your iphone to your computer. Dont forget to check that all the transferred data is in the iTunes media folder so that the iTunes can locate the files. Link to Transcopy software :

  • Barcode scanner and signature capture device for BB

If anyone is looking for a great barcode scanning and signature capture device for the BlackBerry, let me know.  The EnterMoCase is a ruggedized enclosure for the BB that incorporates barcode scanning and signature capture in a single-handed device.  It also has advanced power management features that allow the case to charge the BB when it gets below 40% of power.

Can you contact me directly about this application? I would like to discuss our requirements and understand if they will match with system capabilities.

  • VZW sucks, after overcharging me for four months they issued a credit and then charged me for that credit the following month and 2 cost service reps and one supv can't figure out why...THEY SUCK

Does anyone else find it odd VZW starts every conversation with the standard "this call may be recorded" line, but if you imply you are recording them, they freak out and go silent.  It's amazing they never want to stand by what they say.  I was overcharged and basically screwed for four months, they then issues me a credit and then CHARGED me for that credit the following month.  I explained it in their second grade terms so they could understand and still NO ONE gets it.
    RIDICULOUS

First, can you elaborate a bit on what the concern with the credits are? It is really hard to give advice about the scenario without really knowing what is happening. #2: I don't find it odd at all that vzw wants to record their calls but not have customers record them. In fact I can't imagine that any medium-large company (or many small companies either) would be comfortable with their rep's being recorded seeing as they could make mistakes or just decide to not be appropriate. VZW records their calls for 'quality and training purposes.' Meaning that they are doing it in an attempt to improve their customer service internally, and if it means that they can go back and listen to a call to see if a rep made a mistake then that is just gravy. In most cases if a call is listened to and it's found that the rep did lie or make a mistake it will be corrected and handled internall. If, however, a customer records a call there is a pretty good chance that they will blast it all over the world and damage vzw's reputation... this is a problem if vzw would have fixed the issue anyways once they had a chance to listen to the call.
Thats interesting. Sounds like a fairy tale but interesting.

  • Just had a "early termination bill" £171.54 bill for a REFRESH contract!

Well...as per subj.... It was a Refresh contract. I've paid off my device and cancelled it, as I was bloody entitled to. I've already cancelled the relevant Direct Debit, but they better not try to attempt to collect it or damage my credit rating by doing so.... Thieving b.... pardon my Friench....

, any chance you could help with chasing this up for me? I spoke to CS yesterday, the adviser told me that he would submit a what he called "credit request form" to the backoffice folks. Well, two credit request forms actually: one to reverse the early termination fee, and the second one to re-apply the pro-rata amount for unused airtime. He said he'd send me an email confirming what he has done. He said he was submitting that email as we spoke. 5 hours later - no email (you don't say! that's not like O2 at all! ). So, phoned CS again. The advisor started reading notes on my account and what he was quoting did not make any sense at all, and there was no mention of any email to be sent out to me. I didn't like sound of that. Don't get me wrong, the advisor seemed to be extremely helpful and he apparently done all that had to be done with these credit request forms and told me that he got in touch with the cancellation team as well. After all that, he assured that I'd be getting a response within 3 days, however, I'm still sceptical about it. So, your help would be appreciated if you could get in touch with whoever needed to make sure that the ball is rolling. Afterwards, I'll probably chase O2 for a little "goodwill gesture" as they call it, as there is no way I can tolerate someone trying to steal my money like that and the "oh...the system error..." bull doesn't cut it - got the system error, fix it. But that'll be another story  Thanks.

  • IPhone 5 Early Termination and Account Transfer

My wife and I both have VZW grandfathered unlimited data plans and want to keep it that way. So here is my grand scheme:
We buy two iPhone 5s on a completely new account and two year agreement ($398).  We immediately turn around and close the account(s) and pay the early termination charges ($700).  Bam!  We just automatically saved $200. Right?
So tell me if anyone sees a whole in my dastardly plan.

If you terminate them within 14 days your going to give your phone back.
You have to wait 30 days to cancel. And it might hurt you if you do this again because Verizon keeps a record of all changes like canceling a line within so many days because say next year you do this again for iPhone 6 or another phone they could say well you just cancelled a line why do you need another 1.
When you cancel you have 30 days to pay for the fee. If you can't affairs that you would need to make a payment araingement.
If you use a new account from a different person and put it on your line you can't add insurance to your phone.

I try to install Windows XP on my G555. I got all other drivers, but cannot find drivers for SM Bus and an Unknown device. And what's this device?
The second problem is that after I installed all the drivers, the card reader disappeared. It was there after I installed Windows XP, before I install drivers.
    Thanks a lot.

    Hi Simpleguy,
    Welcome to the forum!
In thinkpads, it's usually intel chipset driver. For AMD based G555, I wouldn't be surprised if this is the driver you need:- http://consumersupport.lenovo.com/us/en/DriversDownloads/drivers_show_2476.html
As for other unknown device, find it's PCI ID with any other known information and paste here.
    Hope it helps.

  • Car Charger, Radio Transmitter and hands free device for IPHONE

Is there a device that I can purchase that will allow me to charge my IPHONE, listen to music stored on my IPHONE thru the car radio and also all me to use the phone feature hands free? If so, where can I purchase it?

I wish I had a product to point you to (and am still a little baffled that Apple didn't include voice activiation) but I think your best bet is to look at various audio systems, zero in on the best candidates, and make a check list of specific connectivity features you're looking for.
There are many after market audio systems which have MP3 input capability or an iPod adapter that you can use to play tunes off of your iPhone. These units usually do not allow much iPod playlist navigation (i.e., you need to find what you want to listen to on your iPod/iPhone before you start driving).
These after market systems also have Bluetooth hands-free integration. To an extent, they will work with any Bluetooth enabled phone, but the extent of how well they work is mixed bag unless the iPhone is specifically listed as one of the phones it supports. For example, with your iPhone paired to a third car audio unit, when your iPhone receives an incoming call, the music will fade down and you will hear your phone ringing through the car. You will then be able to answer the phone and hear the caller. Whether or not they will be able to hear you is anyone's guess with the audio unit's generic Bluetooth phone driver. With a third party audio unit which lists the iPhone as one of the phone it supports for hands-fee use, you will be able to speak to and hear an incoming caller. You may be able to program some of your most frequently dialed numbers into your audio system and dial out via your audio system, but you may not be able to upload all of your contacts; and even if you can, you need to make sure that you can dial those entries with speach recognition in your audio unit because it is not available in the iPhone.
Check out JVC. I think they have an in-dash navigation unit that supports the iPhone. Again, you need to specifically find out from JVC the extend you can dial with speech recognition or with uploaded contacts.
If anyone knows of any systems which are fully integrated (i.e, will upload contacts and provide speech recognition for dialing), please post it.

  • Question regarding early termination and handset earpiece volume

    Hello,
I purchased iphone a week ago from ATT.
If I terminate my contract after 10 months, do I have to return my iphone to ATT even though I pay the early termination fee?
    Another question is this,
when I get a phoe call, the handset earpiece volume is not loud enough to hear in the noisy place.
Is there anyway to fix this problem?
    Thank you.

No, you only have to return it if you cancel within the first 30 days and don't pay the fee.
Is there anyway to fix this problem?
Your volume switches work differently depending on what you are doing. You may get a readout above the "speaker" symbol that appears on the screen telling you what volume is being adjusted.
If you are not using anything, the volume switches adjust the ringer volume.
If you are playing music or video, they adjust the music/video volume.
If your headphones are plugged in, they adjust the headset volume.
If you are actually on a call, they adjust the earpiece volume or speakerphone volume, whichever you are using (without a readout).
If you are on a phone call using bluetooth, they adjust the bluetooth volume.
Dial something like the National Time Signal (303) 499-7111 or your local recdorded weather and adjust the volume during the call.

  • HT5621 I created and apple id but want it to be a free apple id and it is asking for a credit card number. What should I do?

I am trying to create a free Apple ID for my sister that has a learning disability. I created the account but it is asking for a credit card for which she does not have. What should I do?

Create a NEW account/ID for her using these instructions. Make sure you follow the instructions. Many do not and if you do not you will not get the None option. You must use an email address that you have not used with Apple before. Make sure you specify a birthdate that results in being at least 13 years old

  • AS2 and Trading Partner Identification for MDN

    Hi,
I have a scenario where I have multiple Trading Partners that all use the same hub provider. I have setup the trading partners individually in B2B so the trading partner can be identified regardless of the transport server endpoint.
For inbound documents I use the 'Identifying XPATH Expression" and "Identification Value" to override the default Document Definition so I can see which Trading Partner the Invoice is from, regardless of the hub provider that sent it. This is working fine.
However, when sending outbound documents such as a Purchase Order the ourbound document is shown correctly :-
    HealthCorporateNetworkWA BBraunAustraliaPtyLtd AS2 - 1.1 GS1_MultishipmentOrder_Doc - 2.5 GS1_MultishipmentOrder_Action Complete 30 March 2009 10:07:54
Whereas when the MDN is returned it is identified as another trading partner :-
    BaxterHealthcarePtyLtd HealthCorporateNetworkWA AS2 - 1.1 GS1_MultishipmentOrder_Doc - 2.5 Acknowledgement Complete 30 March 2009 10:07:59
These are 2 seperate agreements that are deployed and I assume that the b2b instance is simply identifying the appropriate Trading Partner Agreement by the AS2 Identifier only ?
Is there anyway to modify this behaviour ? Obviously I want it to indicate that the MDN is coming from the Trading Partner I sent the PO to ? If I got the hub provider to apply a AS2 Custom Header would I be able to use this instead by adding a new Trading Partner Identification Type and then using that as the identifier in the TP Agreement ?
Given the MDN is a synchronous response, why isnt it associated with the same TP Agreement ?
    Any ideas ?

You are using custom over AS2 business protocol where in the identification of trading partner can only be based
on the Exchange which is by AS2 identifier. The identification of Agreement is happening in the document layer which is nothing to do with whether the Acknowledgement is Sync/Async.
Ideally you should create the agreement between host and hub provider

If you need to buy apps a credit card or other form of payment is required. As far as I know debit cards are no longer accepted.
