EBIZ database RAM utilization is 100 %

Dear all,
In out db Tier Ram utilization is high eventhough we assigned only 3 gb to SGA and 3 gb to PGA out of total 32 gb. No other application is running other than database, we dont have any clue what to do, pls help

What is EBS and DB version? What is OS?
1. Please take AWR report and see what or which process eat your source.
2. Why pga is 3 gb? Please see below doc and compare it wiht your settings.

Hi,
Looks like the Memory requirement in your system is higher the resources you have in the system.
The reason why you are getitng the slow respsone is that when all the phisical memory is utilised, paging used to start which cause the system slow and when you restart the system, all the memory utilization refreshed and all the pages got free again.
Please check the memory consusmpltion in your system using the Tcode ST06 and if swapping is high most of the time, You can take a call for increase RAM of your system.
Please also make sure that you have set the SAP recommanded parameters for paging related in your system.

RAM utilization 95% for a while..system slow down..

we are using win2003 ECC 6.0 SQL database.
having RAM 12GB. some times servers RAM utilization will be near to 95%. in TA st06 there is only lessthan 200 kb
of physical memory free.
and CPU idle is ok    70 to 95%.
but my dialog responce times are as follows:

Above i observed that avg processing is tooo high as compared to avg responce time.
during that above time period i observed that the RAM utilization is more...how can i know which process causing thiese much RAM utilization....if i go to windows taksmanager there is highest mem utililzation with disp+work round 200-300MB.
please let me know where i have to concentrate to overcome this issue which happens alternatively 2 or 3 days a while.

You can find out the tcodes which are consuming higer memory through the ST03 under Memory Use Statistics here you need to choose task type dialog, based on the info you need to use tocde STAD and input the Tcodes which had highest consuming memory you have got from ST03 and exectue it. The output gives you the user and work process and memory consumed etc which will help you to drill down to issue further.
While using STAD read interval should be taken care for 24 hrs you need to keyin like ths TIME 00:00:01 LENGTH 23:59:59

on 10G R2, EM sends us the following alert :
Message=Swap Utilization is 100%And in details when I look, it says : examine the applications that do not belong to this instance.
I wonder if SGA and PGA are well tunned ?

ORA-04030 :out of process memory when trying to allocate 2457618 bytes (pga heap,zbits_kgcstate)might this error be related to EM alert :

according to mrtalink note 373602.1 we should be in automatic SGA to avoid ORA-04030 , and we are then why ORA-04030 ?

Ram utilization with 64 bit operating system

Attached is the current configuration of my 8.1 Pro PC & I have a question regarding RAM utilization with 32 bit programs running on this PC.
It has been my understanding that the 32 bit OS (XP Pro), at best, would be able to only utilize 4GB of RAM memory.
I've recently built a PC for the specific task of running an application which is very CPU & output intensive. The application is a Windows based 32 bit application which analyzes and recovers data from NAND chips. Input data comes from a 2.0 USB
feed, is processed and is then written to a 2 disk raid array.
Will the 64 bit operating system enable 32 bit applications to utilize more than 4GB of RAM memory? Any suggestions on how to maximize the processing of 32 bit application on a 64 bit OS would be appreciated.

As far as I know, 32-bit application running on x64 Windows system had a limit of memory address space. The max usage of RAM is 4GB. I also make a test using testlimit:
According to the screenshot, we can find that, 32-bit testlimit only can leak 4051MB memory, while 64bit testlimit can achieve to 5200 even more larger memory.

You can use Resource monitor and Task Manager->Performance to monitor the RAM memory utilization, I also recommend you to download the
RAMMap to get more detailed memory information.

RAM utilization keeps increasing over time

Environment: SharePoint Server 2010 on a stand-alone server, total RAM: 24GB
I noticed that on our server the RAM utilization keeps going up until it gets to about 94-97% at which point everything become extremely slow or completely non-responsive. we reboot the server, the RAM utilization goes down to about 28% but then starts
increasing again. I used Resource Monitor and looked at the memory section. From the processes listed there it looks like the sqlserver.exe process's private memory usage keeps increasing proportionally to the whole RAM utilization while the other
processes seem to be relatively constant. Here is a sample data:
August 1st: 44% used physical memory, SQL Server private memory:4.2GB
August 5th: 63% used physical memory, SQL Server private memory:8.6GB
August 9th: 74% used physical memory, SQL Server private memory:12.1GB
August 12th: 78% used physical memory, SQL Server private memory:13.7GB
Could you please suggest any tools or techniques that would help us determine what is causing this increase in RAM utilization?

For single instance SQL 2008 R2 or higher installations where no other applications (like SharePoint) are running, it is not necessary to set MAXMEM.

Swap utilization is 100 %

In my production system swap utilization is 100% that is causing performance issues, when we execute top & Glance command , couldn't find workprocess which are using more memoery here i could see only 2 process are using 2 gb memory, actually we have 32GB memoery. also we have checked in sm04, ther also no workprocess is using much memory. In St02 detailed analysis also utilizing memory is 3gb. i could see occupied physical memoery in ST06. there only 1GB free meomery.
Could you please some one help me how we can find where this physicall memory is utilizing.

What's your current physical memory size?
Just set all memory related parameters according to your physical memory and re-check.
Increase your physical memory if required (contact SAP for fine tuning)

Swap Utilization is 100% - cant clear alert

We have had the Swap Utilization is 100%, crossed warning (35) or critical ( ) threshold hanging around for a month now and I cant clear it.
The server has been rebooted and there is no swapping.
I found this http://www.ora-solutions.net/web/2010/11/12/grid-control-11g-agent-metric-swap-utilization-on-hp-ux-with-pseudo-swap/
but its not for our platform nor our Grid Agent version!
Any ideas please?

If you find that Metric via the host that it is configured on, just clear the fields that are there for that metric.
Then when you can see those alerts cleared, re-enter the values and carry on regardless.

RAM usage reaching 100%?

Hi guys,
I'm starting this discussion to help me with a problem that I'm having with After Effects CS6, where everytime that I try and render a video, the RAM % being used of my available 4GB is reaching 100%, subsequently stopping the render and giving me the following error message:
My Computer Specs:
2011 Macbook Air
1.7 GHz Intel Core i5
4gb RAM 1333 MHz DDR3
Intel HD Graphics 3000 384 MB
Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5
After Effects Details:
After Effects CS6 Version 11.0.2.11
2.5gb RAM Available to After Effects
Multiprocessing - Off
.mp4 format with the H.264 Codec
Rendering in 59.94 fps
I'll also add that I've only ever encountered this problem since upgrading from CS5 to CS6 and that I am a Call of Duty editor for YouTube, so these renders have lots of colour correction and effects!
Are there any known solutions to this problem? Or is it just my 'under-powered' computer

Hold down the shift key while clicking on Preferences>General. At the bottom of the list you will see Secret Preferences. Go there and set your system to purge every 10 frames or so. Give that a try.

ECC 6 RAM utilization going at peak in 30 min interval of time

We are running ECC6 EHP4 on vmware.
OS RHEL 5.4
DB MAXDB 7.7.04 build 28
We are facing one issue related to RAM High utilization in ECC 6 EPH4 system.
earlier we had 8GB RAM after this issue upgraded to 16 GB.But the issue still persist.
Our system works fines.After 30-45 mins RAM usage goes at peak.Due to which we face performance issue and due to which we are not even able to login in the SAP system.
As checked from sm37,sm66 no sap process is running than also its RAM usage is going at high.
We are not able to see any process in top at OS level that is consuming to much RAM.
Please advice .

Are you running any backups in that interval? Are archive logs written?

Utilisation CPU et Ram non utilisé à 100%

Je m'excuse par avance d'exposer mon problème car en regardant sur ce forum d'autre personne ont eu le même soucis mais comme toutes les machines sont différentes, j'ai voulu vous parler du mien avec ma config.
J'utilise donc Cs5 (Première et After effects) et je me rends compte lorsque je fais une compilation rendu pour exporter mon montage finale (avec adobe encoder) que mon CPU et ma ram ne sont pas exploités à 100 % (ça ne dépasse jamais 25 ou 30% de CPU)...et du coup pour les montages lourd avec des effets (Denoise, light, ect...) ça prend beaucoup de temps (surtout si je mets en 2 pass).

Pour D: (Raid0 de 2 disque dur de 500gb à 7200t) J'ai fait mettre les tmp de adobe ainsi que les fichiers projets.
Pour E: Disque 2To ou se trouve mes fichiers vidéos ou audio.
Alors ou est le problème?
quelqu'un pourrait me dire ou j'ai gaffé ?

Disk Utilization reach 100%

Hi Experts,
I'm using oracle 805, the SAS external storage use only for database. The external storage capacity is 2Tb and 60% is free. I check disk utilization using ST06 show 90-99, Kb transfered/s : 47,527. Then I check the processes in SM50, there is no heavy process, a lot of free work process. I check the avg. response time in ST03 seems normal, around 600-700 ms.
What make the disk utilization high?

This monitor shows entire operating system performance data and you are only talking about SAP processes .
Have you check in op system task manager for any server process which could cause bad performance?
