ECC 6.0 - EM Add-on

Hello.
I'm working on a project upgrading to ERP 6.0.
My old R/3 4.7 communicates with SCEM 7.0 on a seperate SCM server via qrfc.
I read (in Kevin's wonderful EM book!) that EM can be installed as an add-on to ERP 6.0.
Is there a Note out there that explains how to implement the add on and run conversion
routines etc?

SAP ECC 6.0 and EHP5 Installation with DIMP functionatilty

Hi Frineds,
We are installaing ECC6.0 and EHP5 fresh installation and looking for DIMP functionality too active in the system.
If we do only installation only Central Application Usage type then we can directly install EHP5 system (Central Application consist of SAP_APPL & EA-APPL).
But My question can we get the DIMP also after this installation type or we need to first install ECC6.0 and then upgrade EHP to get the DIMP function..I have not seen this answer any where in the guide or in SDN...

ECC-DIMP is a add-on to ECC so you can install this add-on or perform a delta upgrade.
Relevant installation and support packages are available on SAP Service Marketplace.

Upgrading 4.6 C to ECC 6.0

Hi,
Our company is currently looking into upgrading to ECC 6.0 from 4.6C.
I would like to know what is required for upgrading 4.6C to ECC 6.0.
Is ECC 6.0 and add-on from 4.6 C or does it overwrites 4.6C?
For your information, we are using SAP HR and Finance and a lot of the modules are heavily customized.
What are the some of the risks involved in doing this upgrade?

Upgrading from 4.6c to ECC 6.0 is not a trivial task. There are substantial differences between these. You should expect that approximately 15% of your cutom coding would have to be looked at, and possibly modified. If you have created authorization roles for you end-users, then most of these will have to be touched and regenerated after verification.
You mentioned that your company is using HR in 4.6c, so I assume that you are also running payroll through SAP. In that case, the upgrade process most likely requires a dual landscape and involve parallel processing of payroll.
You also indicated that your company uses Finance in SAP. If this includes Treasury, then you will also need to do a Business PArtner conversion, You can check SAP documentation on what is involved here.
To do such an upgrade properly you will probably require the services of SAP or another Consultancy that has experience such an upgrade.
Depending on the complexity of your landscape, you are looking at an upgrade process taking about 4 -8 months (which would include testing)

Triggering the creation of a quotation from within an Opportunity...

We have implemented CRM Best Practice (CRM 7) and want to trigger the creation of an ERP quotation from within an Opportunity. Within the customising to assign the ERP order type to the CRM transaction type,
when input help is pressed, no values are returned. CRM is not seeing the ERP order types.
I have been informed that this is correct and that we need to create the order in CRM and then forward to ERP. However, this will never do, especially as CRM does not have all the information to successfully raise an order.
I was wondering if anyone had encountered a similar problem and found a way around it. I'm aware that we can probably use the transaction launcher to create an order in ERP and return to CRM, but how this is triggered is another matter.
Any advice and suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Thanks to all. We have had a reply back from SAP to say that what we trying to do is not possible. We have CRM 7 and ERP ECC5, however SAP are saying that we need at least 2005 on our ERP system for this functionality to work.
Basically, when in config we attempting to set up the document types, but none are being displayed.
SAP connected to our system and after analysis said that the cutsomers ERP system (ECC 5) needs to be upgraded to a minimum of ERP 2005, which I find to be an absolute crazy statement to make. Apparently, according to note 1236015 a minimum of ERP 2005 is required to maintain ERP sales transactions in CRM 7.0's CRM webclient UI.
They debugged CL_CRM_INTLAY_LORD1_ERPIL

Which seems to call FM SLS_LORD_GET_VALUES_AUART but does not exist in ECC 5.
When tested in our CRM 7 system (not the clients) we do get a list of doc types appear, but then we are on the latest version of ERP.
I was wondering whether there was a service patch to ECC 5 which might add the function group SLS_LORD_SHLP and assocaited function modules and includes, together with the class CL_FIELD_CONVERT. That looks to be everything needed to run in ECC 5 from looking at our ECC 6 system. I'm never sure where ERP 2005 sits, is that a higher than version than ECC 6?.

Append Existing Ruleset with HR Risks & Rules

Our current ruleset does not contain HR risks and rules as it was not part of first implementation. Now we will add HR functionality in ECC and need to add it to our ruleset.
Can I do it like this?
1. Export our current ruleset in Configuration - Utilities - Export
2. Somehow add HR risks & rules that I can download from SAP's original files on SAP Service - Support Portal (as in the installation guide) to the file
3. Import the appended ruleset again in Configuration - Utilitiy - Import
After checking the GRC Configuration Guide and other docs it is still not clear to me. Is there a specific document that can answer my question?

Hi Joe,
If you have imported standard rule set text files into GRC during first implementation then as part of R/3 function_action, function permission etc., HR related functions and risks also will get uploaded into RAR System and hence you need not change the rule set again. Just check whether those functions and risks are enabled or not.
If you have fully customized rule set then the steps you have mentioned are correct. After uploading the changed files it is better to do a full synch for user, role and permission and run one full Synch batch risk analysis for the entire rule set.
Before making the changes of the rule set, keep a copy as a back up for the rules. Ensure to open the text file in word pad or edit plus and make changes accordingly. Because even a space variation in text file might not result in generation of the new rules.

ABAP + JAVA system copy

My enviroment is SAP ECC 6 (ABAP + Java add in though we don't use the Java stack) on Oracle 10g/Solaris 10.
I intend to do a system copy(PRD to QAS) using offline backup/restore method. Is this possible for a ABAP + JAVA system using this method ?

CMS Domain setup

I am trying to setup the CMS transport domain but get the following error when saving the config.
SLD (URL http://172.17.1.154:50000/sld) server exception: HTTP response code: 500 Internal Server Error.
I can login on the SLD server via a browser and everything is running without errors.

1)Open SLD from following location:
http://host.domain.com:50000/sld
Enter Administrator user name and password.
2)Go to Administration -> Server Settings
Make sure that the SLD server is stopped
Enter the following Server Parameters
Object Server:
<Host name of the J2EE server>
Working Directory:
The working directory of the System Landscape Directory.
The standard path is "/usr/sap/<SAPSID>/SYS/global/sld"
Click on SET.
Select the following parameter for Persistence
Persistence: Database
Click on SET.
Leave ABAP Connection Parameters Blank.
Go back to Administration
3)Click on Data Supplier Bridge
Configure the data supplier bridge with following parameters.
Update local SLD (sld/active): TRUE
RFC Gateway:
Server : <host name of J2EE server>
Service : <The SAP gateway service port> (Here, 50000)
Click on SET.
4)Open Administration Tool for J2EE server from following Location.
C:\usr\sap\<SID>\JC<instance number>\j2ee\admin\go.bat
(Here, C:\usr\sap\VP1\JC00\j2ee\admin\go.bat)
Select Default and Click on Connect.
Enter password for Administrator.
Click on Connect.
Select Cluster->Server->Services->SLD Data Supplier
Select http setting tab page and enter following details.
Host: <host name of J2EE server>
Port: <Port Number of J2Ee Server> (Here, 50000)
User: <Administrator User>
Password: <Password for Administrator User>
Use https? : <Check this if you want to use https>
Trust Store: <leave default i.e. TrustedCAs>
Click on SAVE.

Gateway Service/Port: sapgw<instance number> (Here, sapgw00)
Click on SAVE.
Restart the SLD data Supplier Service.
5) Open SLD from following location:

Enter Administrator user name and password.
Select Technical Landscape.
Click on New Technical System
Select Web AS ABAP (here u define ur abap system)
Click Next.
Technical System Wizard Appears.
Enter the required information about the technical system.
Details
Web AS ABAP Name (SID): the SAP system ID (SID)
Installation Number: <Installation Number of SAP system> Database Host Name: <Database Host Name>
Click Next.
Now, Enter information about the message server and the central application server.
Message Server
Host Name : <Host Name>
Message Port: <Message Server Port>
Logon Groups: PUBLIC
Central Application Server
Host Name : <Host Name>
Instance Number : <SAP System instance Number>
Click Next.
Optionally define additional application servers.
Click Next.
Enter at least one client details.
Client Number: client (i.e 800)
Logical System Name (optional):
Click Add.
Click Next.
Now, select one or more software products, and then the software components that are installed in this system.
Here, select SAP ECC 5.0 click ADD.
(If you can not find SAP ECC 5.0, then import the CR content on J2EE server follow the sap note :- 669669)
Check all the components in the list.
Click Finish.
The created technical system appears on the Technical System browser page.

Configuration Element

Dear all,
In transaction SOLAR02, I was trying to setup configuration folder. My understanding is that we set this area in order to generate IMG project for satellite system (my satellite system is ECC 6).
I chose Configuration Element ERP 6.0, and then when I confirm the next dialog window informs the following statement with some products except ECC :
"Products are used for which there is no logical component in the system landscape. Specify for which of these products the logical component is to be put in the system landscape".
My question is, since my satellite system is set to product ECC 6, and there is no ECC 6 listed in the dialog window, is this mean that the configuration elemente of ECC 6 product is by default added to the configuration folder, and the products listed are the optional one that i can included as additional configuration to ECC 6 ?
Also, If someone has an experience in setting the remote IMG Project (so that we can do the SPRO / config in satellite system trough Solman system), the guide in detail steps will be so helpful. Thanks....

Hi,
These are steps to be done in Solman.
1. Create a Logical Component in for ECC in TCode SMSY
2. Open the project whih you want to replicate in ECC.
3. Add the Logical Component in System Landscape Tab --> Systems Tab
4. Click on IMG Projects
5. Choose the role as Development System
6. Choose the row of the Logical System to which you want to replicate the project
7. Click on the "Create IMG Project".
This will create the remote project in ECC Development.

Taxes in Shopping Cart

Hi,
We are currently on SRM 7.0 SP5, and are using the Classic scenario. We also do not use catalogs.
Our current business process is that taxes are never input, nor systematically calculated, when creating shopping carts. The user only inputs the net price of the material/service. When we create the PO in ECC, then we calculate/add the tax.
Is there a way to calculate taxes in shopping cart under Classic scenario?

ITS VA01 or other ERP transaction

Hi all,
we are using CIC in CRM 7.0 and ERP ECC 6.0
We want to call from CIC transaction VA01 for a special ordertype.
The ordertype must be entered on the first screen as well as the organisational data (sales org ...). When calling the VA01 from CIC the system should fill the order type with a parameter and skip this screen, so that on the next screen the customer number could be given by a parameter.
Does anybody know how to handle this? Is this possiblel with ITS?

Hi Werner,
As standard you are unable to pass anything else other than transaction code as this is a limitation to the way that the underlying object TSTC has been developed.
I have however implemented a solution in the past that passes multiple parameters across to ECC, but this requires development. (I am presuming you need to to pass the values for Order Type, Sales Org etc from CRM to ECC and these can't be determined in ECC)
Basic steps are:
1) Create Z version of the TSTC BOR object in transaction swo1. (in ECC and CRM)
2) Add the required parameters to the method EXECUTE (in ECC and CRM)
3) (ECC Only) Redefine the method EXECUTE to read these parameters and perform the required action. In your case you could call the transaction using a BDC table, or set the SPA/GPA parameters before calling VA01
You can then point your Call transaction configuration to your Z object and define values for the import parameters of this method. The reason you need the version of the Z object in CRM is to make these parameters available in the configuration.

Copy of MD07 transaction

Hello ,
I have a program which is a copy of MD07 transaction , while updating the program to ECC , we had to add new variables and subroutines as part of upgrade.
The program works well and gives the correct result , but when i try to exit the program , it gives an error SAP Workprocess restarted and exits the session.
This does not happend when i execute the standard transaction .
Any idea what can be the reason for this error and how to correct it.

Copy the transaction again. New version can have new changes. Then insert your modifications.
At this moment you have upgraded your transaction to ECC 6 and you shouldn't have problems

How to add multiple users (say 1000) to a role in ECC 6.0?

You can actually add multiple users to a role using transaction SU01. From SU01, use the menu Environment->Mass Changes.
Here you can manually add the users, select them by address or authorisation data. Once you have your user list, you can then add or remove roles and/or profiles.
Secondly , You can use SU10 to do mass changes to multiple users including role assignments per logical systems

- implemented method GET_I_S_STRUCT on crm with :

- on method do_prepare_output i have change value of fields with code :

I have created some fields at header level of ERP Order, and the user is available to change them, replicating the information to SAP ECC (using interface LORD II).
All sales item information is treated using RFC ERP_LORD_GET_ITEM_MULTI, available in SAP ECC.
