ECCS Elimination of interunit transfered inventory

Hi
I'm running CX5U0. It only posted in Cost of good sold and inventory FS item, not in clearing items. That cause a imbalance.
Whatever I have already created document type which included  clearing item.
Please help me as soon as possible.
Thanks!

Hi expert!
I would like to explain more clearly about my situation.
I get trouble when use the function of elimination of interunit P/L in transferred in inventory.
In IMG, I have already created a document type which has assigned a clearing FS item; I have already assigned deferred tax FS items in "Specify selected items for posting" too. (Enterprise controlling --> Master data --> Financial statement items --> Specify selected intems for posting).
When i used Tcode CX5U0 (elimation of interunit P/L in transferred in inventory), there is only 2 line items: cost of good sold and inventory. It should be 8 line item:
2 line items eliminate P/L, 2 line items clearing imbalance for the elimination of P/L.
2 line items for deferred tax and 2 line items for clearing imbalance for deferred tax.
Why didn't it post in clearing items and deferred tax items?
Could you please help me!
Thanks!

  • Missing Elimination of Interunit Profit/Loss Functions

The function for Elimination of Interunit Profit/Loss in Transferred Inventory and Elimination of Interunit Profit/Loss in Transferred Assets is not available at the consolidation function. Does anyone know how do I activate this function or configure it?

If I have not properly configure and generate the data basis from first time, what should I do to activate this function. As I checked the sap.help from your link it said :
    Prerequisites
    ·       You have defined the Customizing settings for the data basis.
¡      You have specified which InfoObjects are to be used for noncurrent assets at Assets/Liabilities on the Data Model tab page. (See the respective field help texts.)
¡      You have set up the data streams Noncurrent Assets, Noncurrent Assets – Consolidated, and Transfer of Noncurrent Assets on the Data Streams tab page.
¡      If applicable, you have selected additional subassignments and custom fields on the Data Stream Fields tab page.
    ·       You have defined the Customizing settings for the consolidation area. In Settings, you have selected the indicator for elimination of interunit profit/loss in transferred assets under Consolidation Functions Used.
Problem is now I could not do these prerequisites, hitting the errors as mentioned above.
All your help are greatly appreciated

  • Elimination of Interunit Profit/Loss in BPC 10?

    Hi, all,
how it is possible to set up an
Elimination of Interunit Profit/Loss task in BPC 10?
Thanks in advance and best regards
    Gerd

    Hi Gerd,
For that, basically you need two types of data. First one is data at account level, i.e. total sales. Second one is data at partner level, i.e. sales to each company. For this, "Partner" dimension is used.
The business rule will eliminate transactions with partners that are included in consolidation scope. Partner's that are included in scope are identified with ownership model.
For more detailed explanations, I would suggest you to explore Starter Kit documents which you can find in following link:
SAP Business Planning and Consolidation 10.0, Version for SAP NetWeaver – SAP Help Portal Page
Especially this one is related with the configuration.
    https://websmp202.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700001096592013E/BPCNW10_IFRS_Config_SP5.pdf
If it is possible, it is even better if you could load Starter Kit to your BPC system and explore the ELIM business rule.

  • Elimination of Interunit Profit/Loss

    Hello,
We are doing elimination of unrealized profit.  We cannot eliminate all though for a certain cons group 'ASIA'
    Hierarchy is as follows:
    WORLD
         APAC
              ASIA
World and Apac eliminations are okay.  I noticed that there are inconsistencies for the journal entries posted in Asia during elimination.  For World and Apac, the inventory items included per document are the same.  But for Asia, it will include both inventory items.  And when repeating the elimination task, the figures just cancel out and it will post a different one.
I'm wondering if this is the correct behavior?  I'm thinking that inventory items should be the same per document posted.
    Example:
    Inventory items: 111
                            222
    Journal entries:
    document1     comp1     APAC     111     100.00
                         comp2     APAC     111     150.00
                         comp3     APAC     111     200.00
    document2     comp1     APAC     222     200.00
                         comp2     APAC     222     150.00
                         comp3     APAC     222     200.00
    document3     comp1     ASIA     111     100.00
                         comp2     ASIA     111     150.00
                         comp3     ASIA     222     300.00
    During repeat task:
    document4     ref document3     comp1     ASIA     111     -100.00
                                                  comp2     ASIA     111      -150.00
                                                  comp3     ASIA     222     -300.00
    document5                              comp1     ASIA     222      200.00
                                                  comp2     ASIA     222      250.00
                                                  comp3     ASIA     111      200.00
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Jean

    Hi Eugene,
Thanks for your inputs. Indeed it was not the correct behavior because we found a relevant sapnote saying that we have to apply a program correction.  After applying sapnote 1158342, elimination worked fine.

  • Transaction CFC9 in ECC - regarding CIF change transfers to APO

I am using APO 5.1 connected to an ECC 5 system.
I am using ECC transaction CFC9 for CIF settings.
How do the 'change transfer' settings (online/periodic) in transaction CFC9 actually relate to the use of the online change transfer via CFC5 and the use of the periodic change transfer via CFP1. Is there a dependency here?
Thanks for any advice on this...

    Hi,
CFC9 is where you specify what way you want to have the data transfer for master data from R/3 to APO - online, periodic or no transfer.
Based on what you maintained in CFC9, you need to either maintain configuration relevant for ALE (periodic transfer) or BTE (online transfer).
So, if you selected periodic transfer, you should use periodic change transfer using CFP1. Alternatively, you could schedule a periodic job corresponding to CFP1 to send change pointers from R/3 to APO. You should also select "acticvate ALE change pointer generally".
Not sure what you meant by CFC5. If you want to send master data changes online (using BTE), you should have activated "online transfer using BTE".
    Thanks - Pawan

Hi Ismael Lozano and welcome to SDN,
I'd like to attract your attention to the RULES that rule those forums:
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/wiki?path=/display/home/rulesofEngagement
You broke some of the rules -- nobody will answer the whole bunch VERY BROAD questions in one thread.
Anyway, I'll try to answer to some of your questions or point out to the proper way.
    1. Right. And activate the appropriate flag in the Consolidation area.
    2.
WHERE FROM - it's the problem of your functional people or your system. Usually it's not a commonly accessed information.
HOW to load this info? - the Additional financial information is loaded to ODS/DSO objects. The loading might be done through the manual data entry (number of entries is small) or through flexible upload/ABAP routines.
    3. Read this forum and the SAP help:

  • No entries for Inventory Item under Elimination of IP/L in Transferred Inv

Within 6.0v, I have had the system generate data target & infoprovider for Documents, Inventory data, & Supplier data.
I now want to activate the Elimination of Interunit Profit/Loss in Transferred Inventory, but there are no items to select in drop down and system does not allow me to enter inventory unit on Data Model tab for Data Basis.  I have changed the InfoObject Catalog for Chars on the Field Catalog tab to 0SEM_BCS_CHA01 since this has both inventory item and product group as I had read many threads that said both are needed.
Any ideas as to what step I might be missing would be appreciated.

    Ok:
ConsArea, Settings tab, tick there the 'Elim. of IU P/L in Inventory' flag. After regeneration of the ConsArea you'll see additional menu in the WB for customizing IPI.
About not ticking extra flags in data basis see the info here:

  • In PDP cycle is it possible to pull back transfered PR (from SRM to ECC)?

    Dear Friends,
We are working on PDP cycle where backend ECC Purchase Requisition is transferred to SRM client via program BBP_EXTREQ_TRANSFER so that the procurement activity is carried out in SRM.
Now business decides to discontinue the procurement activity from SRM and continue in R/3 only. Which mean business would like to create Purchase Order in R/3 with reference to PR.
So we delete the shopping cart created in SRM and tried to change the Purchasing group so that system removed the procurement profile tag from PR. But system does not allow.
My question is, is it possible to pull back the PR from SRM to ECC after it has been transferred to SRM?
Or in standard process there is no provision to reverse the situation after a PR is transferred from ECC to SRM.
Can anyone through some light on this?
    Regards,
    Sandeep Parab

    Hi Sandeep,
by standard there is no option to send Reqs back to ECC. A moved Req is
blocked in ECC with a flag in EBAN, that sourcing is carried out externally. This
block is removed, when the PO is created. I implemented a push back mechanism
with an extra button in the sourcing cockpit within a classic environment. The
button first takes the SC information and identifies the Req in ECC, sets the
status on blank and releases the Req for sourcing. Finally the SC is deleted from
the sourcing cockpit. With a good programmer the story can be quickly done.
    Cheers,
    Claudia

  • Auto-elimination of intercompany profit in inventory - how to eliminate IC balance via rules?

    Hi Experts:
I’ve designed and developed a data form in HFM to calculate the amount of MARGIN in the inventory of the receiving company (when the receiving company has received the inventory from an intercompany partner).
Does anyone have any experience or ideas how to write a rule (or use IC logic) to automatically eliminate this calculated amount against IC Cost of Sales?
The IC Cost of Goods sold entry will be the same at the margin in inventory (but this is not broken out separately in any account – just buried in COGS).
Does anyone have any suggestions for a rule/account/IC logic that could automatically grab this calculated balance in inventory and remove it from inventory as well as reduce IC_COGS?
We prefer to do this elim entry automatically if possible.    Is it possible to do an “auto” journal entry that could grab these amounts?    Or could we use a rule to populate an IC account so that this would self eliminate?
Should we set up an elim account part and populate them automatically via rules, then allow HFM to use it's built in IC elim logic?   This issue is that this entry occurs all on one entity, but I know it's possible to set up IC accounts so that you can book a balance with yourself.
How do I do this elim entry automatically in HFM?
    Inventory
$    (1,000)  this will be calculated in HFM.
    IC_COGS
$      1,000   this will equal to above account
    Thanks,
    Mark

Hi. Try this. Tag it as an intercompany account (use Y instead of R) and give it a plug account. Put the plug account within COGS. Basically you're doing a one-sided elimination.
Elimination of profit in inventory is not easy, and if this solves things for you then you're on the easy side of it.

  • ECCS - Adding Profit Center to Company Code Consolidation

    Hello Gurus,
We use ECCS for our consolidation. We do only Legal consolidation and we also use Functional Area as a sub-item category for all the IS accounts. We are now trying to add Profit Center as one of the attributes. Initially, we planned to use the sub-item category, however, we can have only one and it's already taken by Functional Area. Is there a way I can
    1. Add PC as an attribute
    2. Enhance ECMCT to allow additional Sub-item?
    Appreciate your advice and guidance.
    Regards,
    Venkat

The documentation at the menu path: t-code SPRO > Enterprise Controlling > Consolidation > Add Characteristics states:
    Add Characteristics
The SAP standard consolidation database includes various preset characteristics, such as the consolidation unit, the financial statement (FS) item, the subitem, etc. If the information requirements of your group demand additional fields, you can define your own socalled custom characteristics.
This step shows you two ways to add characteristics to the consolidation database:
You can add up to five subassignments to the FS item.
You can add navigation attributes to the characteristic consolidation unit. The system then automatically assigns the same attribute to the characteristics partner unit and investee unit as well.
After adding a characteristic, the system generates the associated ABAP Dictionary objects and maintenance views.
To the consolidation database, you can also add characteristics based on structures that already exist in the SAP system (e.g. Region). However, you can also add characteristics, the structures of which still need to be generated.
    Recommendation
Since custom characteristics extend the consolidation database, you should carefully examine which characteristics are to be added. SAP recommends, in particular, that you first finish creating the new characteristics, and that you make sure that want to use this set of data, before you activate the new characteristics and start the generation. This way you can avoid time-consuming deletions if a characteristic must be removed. Also, keep in mind that you can no longer delete a characteristic once you have posted data with the characteristic.
    Example
Examples of subassignments for FS items are the Product Group and the Geographic Region.
An example of an attribute for consolidation units is the Company Type.
    Standard settings
The standard SAP system already includes the following subassignments for FS items:
    Partner unit
    Subitem category and subitem
    Transaction currency
    Acquisition year
    Acquisition period
    Unit of measure
The standard SAP system already includes the following attributes for the consolidation unit:
    Country
    Company
    Consolidation business area
    Profit center
    Controlling area
The attributes company, cons business area, profit center and controlling area are particularly useful when you use the integrated collection of reported financial data from your consolidation units.
    Activities
    1. Reorganize the field catalog. When this is done, the system copies the system field catalog into the customer field catalog. Choose Extras -> Field catalog -> Reorganize.
If you use integrated collection of reported data, during the reorganization you should include SAP's standard attributes in the selection. Note that, initially, these attributes are not included in the Reorganization selection screen.
    2. If desired, create one or more new characteristics.
Enter the technical name (field name) of the new characteristic. The technical name must begin with the letters "ZZ".
Also set the appropriate indicator to define how the structure of the characteristic is to be built.
    Technical Background Information:
Description, type, and length are properties of characteristics that you can enter directly or define by assigning a data element or domain. Data elements and domains are ABAP Dictionary objects that act as a central store of table field properties:
A data element defines the meaning of a field in business terms with texts and a reference to a domain.
A domain describes the technical properties of the field and defines permissible values for the characteristic if either of the following conditions is met:
    - There is a list defining fixed values
    - There is a reference to a check table
Normally data element and domain assignments are used to refer to check tables. You can, however, create a characteristic without any validation or texts by assigning a standard domain (for example CHAR07, NUM12).
    Ways to create a characteristic:
    a) Assigning a data element
Activate this indicator and assign a data element. The domain assignment is made by assigning the data element.
Note: If you run the elimination of IU profit/loss in transferred inventory and the system reads the required additional financial data from the totals database, you need to create the characteristic "product group" and assign it to data element FC_PRGRP.
    b) Assigning a domain
Activate this indicator, then specify the meaning and assign a domain. By assigning a domain you define the type and length of the characteristic, and possibly you refer to fixed values or a check table.
    c) Referencing a characteristic
Activate this indicator, then specify the description and set a reference to another characteristic. This has the effect of assigning the domain of the referenced characteristic.
    d) Creating a characteristic with a new data element and check table
Activate this indicator, the specify the description, type (character or numeric), and length (1-32). The system generates a new check table for the characteristic.
    e) Creating a characteristic without a check table (using a standard domain)
Activate this indicator and specify the description, type (character or numeric), and length (1-32). The system does not generate a check table.
Caution: Assigning data elements or domains does not itself ensure that validation, reading characteristic value texts, and Possible Entries Help will work as expected. The following conditions must be given:
The domain must have a check table or fixed values.
There must be either a text table with references to the check table, or the texts must be in the check table itself.
These conditions are always fulfilled by fields in the standard field catalog.
    3. If needed, define compound relationships between characteristics in the detail screen of Characteristic Maintenance.
Some characteristics are dependent on other characteristics; that is, the values of dependent characteristics are meaningless in theabsence of values for independent characteristics. Such a relationship is called a characteristic compound. Technically, a check table then contains a key that consists of two parts.
Example: The Region, a dependent characteristic (check table T005S), forms a compound characteristic with the Country, an independent characteristic, because a region can be maintained or interpreted only if a country is specified.
Note the following restrictions when defining compounds:
Compounds can only be defined for characteristics that have a check table.
When a data element/domain is assigned, a compound is predefined by the existing check table.
Compounds can only be defined while creating a dependent characteristic. You do this by specifying the independent characteristic in the detail screen.
Only single compounds are permitted. Multiple compounds cannot be made.
The compound must be defined while creating a new characteristic, and before the new characteristic is saved. This is because the save process generates the check table for the characteristic.
Note: You do not use characteristic compounds to create regular assignments between two fields (such as, consolidation unit A having the local currency USD). Rather, a compound characteristic describes the structural dependency of one field on another (as in FS item 1111 in cons chart of accounts 01 being a different item than FS item 1111 in cons chart of accounts 02).
    4. Specify further properties of the characteristic:
Define the display options and the sequence number of the characteristic for reports and so forth.
Activate the Subassignment indicator for all characteristics used as subassignments for FS items.
Activate the Fixed value in breakdown category indicator for all subassignments whose value is determined by the breakdown category (e.g., as with the characteristic subitem category).
Activate the Default value indicator if applicable. Then the characteristic appears in the implementation step Define Default Values. A default value is not necessary and cannot be set if you activate the Fixed value in breakdown category indicator
    5. Enhance the checking specifications if needed:
For characteristics without a standard check table, you can enter a text table, a text field, and a long text field. The text fields must use the field type character. You can also specify a view name, usually a view of the check table and text table.
If the system fails to automatically determine the transaction codes for displaying and changing the master data, you can specify them manually.
    6. To the characteristic consolidation unit assign any newly created characteristics as an attribute. Only independent characteristics can be assigned as attributes to consolidation units.
These attributes are used for sorting your consolidation units.
Note: Prerequisite for assigning attributes is the reorganization of the field catalog, that is, you need to have copied the field catalog into the customer field catalog. To do this, choose Extras -> Field catalog -> Reorganize.
    7. Save and activate the new characteristic.
The Save process stores the new data and, if applicable, creates new tables and views in the ABAP Dictionary.
The Activation process sets the status of the tables, views, data elements, etc. to "active". It also generates the objects that are necessary to enable the consolidation functions to process the new characteristics.
You can activate several characteristics in one step by choosing characteristic maintenance of all characteristics in the initial screen, selecting and activating the inactive characteristics.
    8. After activating the characteristic, you are asked whether to generate the view modules. Confirm the generation.
If you exit Characteristic Maintenance and want to ensure that all view modules were generated correctly, choose Environment -> View maintenance modules -> Reorganize.
    9. Assign the new characteristics to field groups, if applicable.
Field groups are groupings of characteristics. These let you structure the fields in the field catalog. Individual fields may belong to multiple field groups.
    Further notes
Choose Extras -> Log display to display the logs for the activities Save, Activate and Delete.

  • Bonded Warehouse Initial Inventory

    Hello,
We are setting up the Bonded Warehouse in GTS 8.0. After the initial Transfer of the Stock from ECC to GTS all the inventory is in Duty Paid. How is the initial Duty Unpayed stock to be transferred in GTS from Duty Payed to Duty unpayed?

SAP provide a Function Module (/SAPSLL/API_IVMS_IDUP_SYNCH) to enable direct posting of duty-unpaid stock for initial load.  This creates an internal Customs Document just like an Import Declaration, from which Closing Portions can later be determined.
Unfortunately you have to work out how to use the FM to best effect, particularly if you also have duty-paid stock of the same Materials to transfer.  You will need to do some development in order to get a working solution.
    Hope that helps a little,
    Dave
