Eclipse 3.5 (Galileo) + Coldfusion RDS Plugin

Hi,
Just tried to upgrade my Eclipse to 3.5 and install the coldfusion RDS plugin. I have been using an older version with no issues. When I point my new eclipse to the old workspace, I can test all of the saved RDS connections and the connect fine. However, when trying to use the rds filebrowser, Eclipse freezes up and eventually crashes.
Any Insight?

I, too, have Eclipse Galileo. My RDS Fileview didn't crash. It didn't work either. Whenever I attempted to open it, it just got stuck, displaying "Contacting Server...".
Here is how I convinced it to work.
1) Follow the menu Window => Show View => Other
2) Click on the + next to the Coldfusion group to expand it.
3) Click on RDS Fileview and press OK.
4) The RDS Fileview tab should appear, with the list of RDS servers in it. This assumes you did configure RDS. Did you? If you didn't, RDS Fileview wouldn't work.
My server, Localhost, appeared in the tab. When I click on the + next to it, expecting to see the tree of files, I instead see the message "Contacting Server...".
5) The workaround I found was to right-click on Localhost and then select Go Into. All the drives on the RDS server are then displayed, by letter.
6) When I click on the + next to C:\, expecting to see the files in the drive, I instead get the familiar message, Contacting Server...".
7) It is onlly when I right-click on C:\ and then select Go Home that I finally see the files in the RDS server.

ColdFusion RDS Plugin SSL Supported?

I've tried to configure the ColdFusion RDS plugin to connect
via an SSL secured port but this does not seem to work, even after
making sure the certificates for the site were in the trusted
certificate store.
Is this supported and I have something misconfigured or it
SSL support not included in the current version of the plugin?
If it is not supported, will a new version be available soon
that adds SSL support?

OEPE for Eclipse 3.5 (Galileo) ready?

Will OEPE for Eclipse 3.5 (Galileo) be ready and tested when 3.5 ships next week? I see on http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/oepe/oepe_11g.html that it was last updated for 3.5 M6, which was released 3 months ago. I can't move to 3.5 unless OEPE is working properly on it.

Help : installer has detected one or more adobe coldfusion builder plugins

I uninstalled coldfusion builder from flash builder and then when re-install I get a message:
installer has detected one or more adobe coldfusion builder plugins ....etc
How do I fix this?

As a caution to save your time please follow the following release note:
82284 - If you install ColdFusion Builder as a plug-in to Flash Builder and decide to uninstall ColdFusion Builder, make sure ColdFusion perspective is not active in Flash Builder. Failing which, some features may not work after restarting Flash Builder or ColdFusion Builder's perspective will not come up if installed again.

ColdFusion, RDS and Dreamweaver

Is there anybody out there who can give me a simple but
detailed
understanding of how exactly RDS works and what I need to do
to
configure it properly?
I am trying to set up a new project in my Dreamweaver 8. I
usually use
my locally running developer edition of ColdFusion and have
no trouble
with RDS for these sites. For this new site however, I am
working on a
remote development server running ColdFusion. I can not for
the life of
me figure out the proper combination to enable RDS with this
remote
server.
As best as *I* can tell, the remote serer has RDS enabled,
the check box
is selected in the CF Administrator. I have tried every
combination I
can think of to define the 'root' path in the Dreamweaver
site panel to
connect to this site. The site configures fine for "Site",
"Document
type" and "Testing Server", but when I try to provide the
"RDS login" I
get the dreaded *"The server name or address could not be
resolved.
Possible reasons: ..."* error.
Some basics of what I am trying to do.
Appdev is a remote UNIX/Apache server, I access it from my
windows
workstation file explorer with the UNC "\\appdev\". This is
also the
website domain name, so the CF administrator is
http://appdev/cfide/administrator/".
There are many applications that
branch off this root, the one I am trying to set up a project
for is in
this unwieldy location.
"\\appdev\cfdocs\apps\puredit\puredit\". Based
on this I currently have the following settings in my
Dreamweaver Site
Definition.
Local Info
Local Root Folder: C:\Development\PUREdit\
HTTP Address:

This configuration works correctly for accessing, editing,
uploading and
previewing the files. But I can not use RDS to explore the
data
sources, no matter what permutation of the above settings I
have tried.

The answer for me was to uncomment the RDS servlet sections
in the
web.xml file on the server.

ColdFusion Builder plugin console

I just don't understand what I am doing wrong here. I updated ColdFusion builder as a plugin installed in 3.5.1. I also have Flex 3 /subclipse and a few other plugins installed. When I restart my localhost or want to view orm sql logged to the console, nothing appears. After a restart I get this.
[localhost]:(12/18 at 09:54:11) Server is available. Getting server settings from Server
[localhost]:Error(12/18 at 09:54:12) Unable to fetch server mappings.
[localhost]:Error(12/18 at 09:54:12) Unable to get the log directory.
On my laptop (at home and work) I have Builder running as standalone and this works fine on both of them. What can I do to fix this? I really like logging info to the console.

Can you try to remove the server settings and put them in again. (This worked for me once, but it was in beta 2. Now running Beta 3 so I cannot imitate your scenario to validate it as a fellow user. )

Eclipse 3.0.1.: Lomboz-plugin won't be shown...

Im using Eclipse 3.0.1 and I've installed Lomboz 3.0.1. in plugin-directory.
So I want to create a Lomobz-project.
My problem is, I can't select Lomboz, if I want to create a project ?!
In Window - Customize Perspective I wanted to activate the Lomboz-plugin, but I couldn't find it as well ?!
Within my complete IDE, I can't find any topic called "Lomboz"...
What could be wrong ?

What could be wrong ?Don't tell anyone I told you, but what I normally do when I install new plugins
is get rid of the eclipse/configuration directory (simply rm -rf it). The next time
eclipse comes up it rescans all installed plugins (it wants to know where its
projects directory is too, that's the little downside).
Eclipse behaves funny w.r.t. its plugin cache; I haven't found a 'scan for new
plugins' button yet either ...

ColdFusion RDS and Flex Builder 2

Hello everyone.
I try for 3 days to get this running but I keep getting the
same error:
"The RDS server was successfully contacted, but your security
credentials were invalid."
The documentation says that if you are using ColdFusion MX
7.0 or earlier, you would get this message.
But I am using the ColdFusion MX 7.0.2 Developer Edition,
Running under IIS6 on a Windows 2003 server Standard.
Please note that the ColdFusion and Flex Builder 2 are not on
the same computer and it is not possible for me to install CF on
the local computer.
If I try the Dreamweaver RDS it works fine. So I know there
is nothing wrong with the password, the Host Name or port 80.
Can someone please help me?

ColdFusion RDS and ISA 2004

I can't get this to work to save my life...not that I'm an
ISA expert...but it's pretty straight forward.
I can't get folders to be returned to CF Studio or
Dreamweaver from a server with ISA 2004 on it. It's publishing
pages perfectly and I have the LAN connection set up...but it's at
a datacenter and I have to rds to work on the pages.
Has anyone had a problem with this before or know (even
better) of how RDS fits into ISA?

Eclipse + Flex Builder Plugin + RDS

Hi All,
I've got a strange problem with Eclipse and the Flex Builder
and RDS plugins. I configure the RDS connection in
Window->Preferences->RDS Settings however when I Test the
connection I keep getting the error message "Unable to contact RDS
server 'localhost'". I have the settings configured exactly the
same as they are in HomeSite+. HomeSite+ can connect fine, but
Eclipse cannot!
Has anyone come across this issue or knows of a workaround?
Do I have to install something in a particular order?

Could you please let me know the CF version, install
configuration and OS? CF versions 6.1 and prior are not supported
by the RDS plugin.
We had a similar issue in beta 1 that got fixed and it was
related to the password. If the CF version is not the problem,
please email me your RDS password directly at [email protected] I
know you tried using no password - did you mean the server admin
password or the RDS password (you cannot have a blank RDS
password)?
The order of installing plugins doesn't make a difference.

Spatial data in Eclipse Galileo - Unsupported data type

I am using Eclipse 3.5 Galileo. I have data stored in Oracle 10.2 tables containing columns of type SDO_GEOMETRY. When i try to open the tables (in Eclipse Data Debug perspective) i get an error unsupported data type. Obviously this is caused by the SDO_GEOMETRY.
Can anyone tell me the plugin that i need for reading and tabular display of the tables containing columns of spatial type ?

I have a Google Map tile layer. I'm building an HTML document that contains it. I want to represent geometries on. Geometries has been built taking coordinates from Google Map. I implemented this function to show the coordinates of the Google tile layer, where the mouse is:

But coordinates I'm seeing with this function are not the same displayed by Google Map and I need it. And I think it's a problem of SRID because it is projected in EPSG:3857 ¿no?. But I want to project the Google Map tile layer in EPSG:4326, that is, the same Google Map SRID.
It is an Oracle Maps application with a MVGoogleTileLayer and the data to be displayed are in some ThemeBasedFOI.

ColdFusion Builder Perspective in Eclipse

I have just downloaded the lastest version of Eclipse to try the ColdFusion builder as a plug-in in my trial copy. I want to see if working within this environment with the subversive plugin also (not installed yet) would be a productive solution for me.
However, I can't get the ColdFusion builder perspective. Eclipse can't tell it's there. I have been searching for a solution for three days and have yet to find anything close to an answer. I've even tried removing eclipse completely and uninstalling and reinstalling the ColdFusion builder plugin, all to no avail. It seems it should be easier to install this. I'm at a complete loss as to what to do to fix this.

since your eclipse files and workspace/s are all run on the
java runtime environment and all configurations are saved at the
file level (no registry edits etc.), it's not uncommon to have
different eclipse versions in different folders running different
sets of plugins, defaulting to different workspaces, etc.
That's the long way of me suggesting a new install in a
different folder and trying it from scratch. If it has the same
behavior, you might try a different version of java.

ColdFusion Builder 2 RDS Debugging error.

I am running a Windows 7 Professional 64-bit system with ColdFusion 9.01 (Developer Edition). I just downloaded the trial version of ColdFusion Builder and cannot get the debugger to work. I have followed all the instructions concerning making sure RDS is enabled in ColdFusion (which it was for my old CFEclipse version and some Flex apps). I've done everything I can think of for configuring CF Builder, but I cannot get the debugger to work. When I go to RDS configuration in CF Builder and click "Test Connection," A popup states that "Test connection was successful." Since I'm using IIS and not the CF built-in web server, I configured the Server Information using port 80. However, when I click "Test Debugger," I get an error: "Test debugger failed. The debugger server is currently listening on port 51,367..." So, I change the port to 51367. The connection tests successfully again, but when I test the debugger, I get another error: "Test debugger failed. An RDS connection was established but the ColdFusion RDS line debugger could not be contacted. The server gave the following message: -1: Could not initialize class coldfusion.logs.CFlogs." I cannot find any reference to that error message using Google, or searching Adobe. When I click on the "bug" drop-down and then click the name of "Debug server," I get a similar, but different and longer error:
Unable to connect to the RDS server 'ColdFusion'.
Ensure that the server is currently running and that line debugging and RDS are enabled. You may also need to check your RDS connection settings in Eclipse to ensure that they are correct.
Error message:
-1:Error connecting to JVM for debugging at localhost:5005. Could not attach the VM at port 5005. You must specify this debugger port in the JVM settings of you application server, for example: -Xdebug -Xrunjdwp:transport=dt_socket,server=y,suspend=n,address=5005. You will also need to make sure that another debugger is not currently connected to the CF JVM at the same port (5005).

I check in the jvm.config file and those settings are already there. So, does anyone have a clue about any of this? I've run all possible CF and JRE updates, I've not only stopped and restarted the ColdFusion service several times, but I've even rebooted my system. This should be a simple process.

CF Line Debugger is enabled. every thing is configured perfectly. This is a error which I've never seen before.
Actually, I am a IT Manager in a Software company and we need to setup a remote CF9 Server for development and testing with debugging. This is a centralize server for my team to work and test. Currently we are working using dreamviewer and every thing is going fine with this tool but as you know there is no good debugger tool in DW so we have decided to work in CFBuilder 2. Below you will find the jvm config in my CF Server.

Eclipse Plugin Creation - "Plug-in name was unable to load class " error

i got a little problem again. I have written the first lines of code of my plugin and wanted to test it (run as Eclipse Application). I got the following error-msg, when clickin either on the menu item or toolbar button:
