I am trying to answer a reply from Ed-meister to my problem about Firefox starting when I turn on my PC. I keep getting a message saying that I have to submit a subject. I hit every button there and it still doesn't submit, so I'm doing it this way.

I'm trying to set up a sync account but when I get to the window with the "Create a new account" and "Connect" nothing happens when I push either of the buttons.
By the way, this is in the brand new Firefox 4, not an extension.

Can not get a specific website to load in either Safari or Firefox on my MacBook Pro. Website loads on other devices such as iPhone, PC, etc. I've tried emptying the Cache in Safari. Any other suggestions?
The problem I am having is that this website will not load on my MacBook Pro. I don't know if it has something to do with the fact that the website was created on this computer using iWeb and then I had to change to a different webhost on July 1st (Dreamhost) when Apple discontinued Mobile Me / Webhosting as of July 1st. That is when I was no longer able to load the site on this one computer.
I get this message with Safari:
Safari can’t open the page “http://www.challengefitnesscrossfit.com/” because the server where this page is located isn’t responding.
and this message from Firefox:
The connection has timed out

That looks like a JSON bookmarks backup file, from 11-01-2012. Did you try '''restoring''' that file?

Never messed with JSON files other than viewing them on a few occasions out of curiosity. There are no line breaks which make them very difficult to read.
As far as working with that file in {like} NotePad goes:
A. use Find / Search for each indecent of a '''"uri"''' string, then "copy and paste" the uri into another text file, and then move on to the next "uri" string.
B. use a text program where a filter can be set for the "uri" field in the JSON file for a line break or to "scrape out" the "uri"s only for display or export to a list of uri's.
Or try using an online JSON editor like this, to try to display only the "uri" field.

You didn't mention what web browser you are using so it's hard to say.
One quick thing you can try if you need to log into the class right now is to download a different browser. Assuming you're using Safari, some possible alternatives include Firefox by Mozilla, and Chrome by Google.
If you continue to experience problems please provide more information about the iMac, version of the Mac OS, and which browser version you are using. Most browsers have the ability to block pop-up windows. You just need to check your options. Here's what it looks like in the current version of Safari. -

iDVD do not copy Your material - only points to where it is stored. So if on any external hard disks, USB-memories, CDs or DVDs are missing - assetts are broken.
Or if You changed location of any material or directed iPhoto or iTunes or GarageBand to a new Library - Then iMovie/iDVD also get's lost.

I was trying to upgrade to OSX 10.9 but during the upgrade when the download got to 2.6gb /5.29gb message "an error occurred" appeared and since then i have been un able to upgrade, what can i do.
If you purchased Lion for your iMac, just log into the Mac App Store from your MacBook using the Apple ID under which you purchased Lion and go to the Purchases page. You will be able to download and install Lion there.

The only place you get get Lion is from the Mac App Store. If you found some other site, that was an illegal copy and almost certainly tied to someone else's Apple ID and hence unusable by you. If the link was just to the Mac App Store, see above.
As to the problem with synchronization to iCloud, that's not a 10.6 question, so I'd suggest you take up that specific issue in either the Lion or iCloud forums, providing full details, and someone there can probably help you sort things out.

Apple IDs cannot be merged. You should use your preferred Apple ID from now on, but you can still access your purchased items such as music, movies, or software using your other Apple IDs. -
I am trying to download photoshop presets from online but can't seem to figure out how to open them in photoshop. Yesterday I changed my email password on my home computer. Today, I can't get any new emails on my Samsung Galaxy 4; I deleted the email account entirely and tried to set it up again as a new account, using the new password, but it keeps giving me an error message that reads: Cannot safely connect to server. The new password is working on my home computer. I even tried the old password; it just gave me the same error message.
I'm sorry you're having issues with your e-mail account on your phone Rusty1112. Let's figure out what's going on. First, please try deleting account/information again and then restart phone. When phone is back on, try adding e-mail account again, and be sure you're entering exactly as you set up, meaning its case-sensitive. If you're still getting same error, please let us know and let us know what e-mail account it is, Yahoo, AOL, MSN, etc.

I am trying to change my Apple ID on my iPad from an old work email address to a new personal address. I have changed it on my new iPad and in FaceTime but can't get it to work in iTunes. Any ideas?
If they are no longer in your camera roll, save them to your camera roll before deleting the account (open your my photo stream album, tap Select, tap the photos, tap the share icon -- box with upward pointing arrow, the tap Save to Camera Roll).

I have replaced my ibook hard drive but when I start up I get a folder with a flashing question mark. I have tried installing the OSX disk using the "C" key but can't get any further than the flashing "?." What do I do? What is the problem?

Which version of the OS is installed, and which version are you trying to install?
You could try starting up with Startup Manager and see if it will allow you to select the OS X install disc as the startup disk. If so, maybe you can proceed from there. I would recommend repairing the hard drive first since you are evidently having a bit of a problem with it.
