EDI Gateway Setup

Hi All
I need info regarding EDI Gateways(EDI Outbound Transaction setup)
I am trying to generate the falt file for Outbound Purchase Order using standard Extract programs. But I am getting empty file.
I have gone through some documents available on Net. But I could not fix this problem.
I wanted to know the basic steps we need to perform to get the output file.
I am using standard catagories only so far. I Defined values for some Categories and attached those categories to some of the columns in the Interface Table.
But still I am not getting the output file.
Do you I need to delete the columns from Output Definition to which I have not attached any category.
When I setup Trading Partner Information, Just I created A dummy name for the parnet header and attached one of the supplier name and supplier site to that partner. Will it validate the partner information somewhere while extracting the data. Is this partner information need to be present somewhere or we can create the dummy names for the testing purpose.

Newbie to Oracle Apps and want to configure Oracle EDI Gateway for Inbound Invoice Interface. We are having Oracle EBS R12 installed on OEL 5.6
Do i need to install EDI Gateway or it comes with APPS R12 installation ? if i have to install it explicitly then which EDI version i have to install ? what are steps should i follow to achieve desired results.
One more query, we are having old version of Oracle APPS 6i too, is it possible to configure Oracle EDI Gateway on it ??

Can not use the Gateway setup assistant

Hello,
I want to use the Gateway setup assistant from NAT service.
My Os X server is in french.
I have a bug, when setting for VPN from the assistant, I can't continue she setup.
I click on the "continue" button but nothing happens !
Is this a bug ? Someone got the same result ?

Gateway Setup Assistant on a 10..x.y.z subnet

Hi,
I'm trying to use Gateway Setup Assistant on a 10..x.y.z subnet.....
BUT
the assistant tells me that it will siwtch everything to 192.168.0.x !!!! which i obviously do not want
Hence, how can i use that assistant without screwing up my current subnet setup OR how can i setup that gateway manually ?

Customizing format for EDI Gateway

Hi all,
Does anyone know how to customize the EDI Gateway in Account Payables to output a file with a certain format that a bank wants?
Is there a list of formats that Oracle Apps provides somewhere I can look?

If I understood ur requirement correctly, the solution goes as follows:
Based on the source field existing you have to transform the date format, right!
I guess your source field is also a date field. Check the condition whether the field exist or not. If exist, use the date transform function (hhmm or hhmmss).

No receiver could be found means Check your Receiver Determination. Activate and update cache. Asysnchronous messages can be manually restarted.

E-commerce gateway setup for PO Outbound

I am trying to configure E-commerce gateway in R12.1.1.
I have completed Trading partner setup.( As per the Implementation guide)
While i am trying to export a PO using - OUT: Purchase Order (850/ORDERS) program i am getting a blank file.

Adv RACF 9.0.4.15 LDAP Gateway setup issue on LINUX

I am trying to setup LDAP Gateway on LINUX, while starting the script (run.sh), it is throwing lot of errors. Can anybody please share their working LDAP Gateway run.sh? I will try to compare and resolve the issue.

I have had to resiolve similar errors using the LDAP gateway for the AS400. The two products are based on the same gateway from Identity Forge.
When you are trying to debug the startup, be sure to watch the console the console for class not found errors. When debugging, I typically run the gateway as a forground task instead of using nohup. In my case, there were some missing jar files that were reventing the gateway from running. I used google to locate the jars and got the gateway to run.
Here is a copy of the run.sh I made using the provided run.sh code as a base.

Biztalk Architecture Question - EDI Solution Setup

I have to setup an EDI Solution .
There are multiple trading partner with multiple transaction(850,810,832 , 867 Transaction).
Please help me in set up the solution and Project structure .

For one of my client what we used to do use RoleLink and party for dynamic resolution of the part and send the message.
So we
Receive a message, this message will have ID which resolves the source
Map it to canonical schema.
Have a orchestration process mapped canonical schema
Have a code in orchestration to resolve the destination, using Party
Have RoleLink, connect the RoleLink to send shape.
Configure the Party details with qualifiers to resolve destination details.
Configure the send out to the party
In the send port have outbound map specific to the destination system. In this map you can have maps for EDI.
So when the new party comes in, just create Map, create send port configure it with outboundmap, and the Party with send port.
So coming to project structure.

Canonical schema
Maps
Orchestration which Common-Orchestration which will have Role-Link

When the new party comes-in, you can create a new project/assembly for their map (and new project if the outbound schema change).
Obviously you can have many solution, choose the one which fits you better.

HELP: SPA-3102 Gateway Setup Question

I would like to set up the SPA-3102 to do the following:
1. The adaptor is registered to one SIP account
2. The adaptor can make outgoing calls through two or more SIP accounts which are not registered.
3. Calls to local numbers and emergency numbers are routed to PSTN
4. Calls to SIP phones are routed to the registered SIP account
5. Calls to long distance and international numbers are routed to the registered SIP account.
6. If we dial with a prefix, calls to long distance and international numbers are routed to the 2nd SIP account which is not registered.
Currently, we have 1, 3, 4, and 5 working. But 6 is not working. Is 6 possible? If so, could someone help me with an instruction of how to set it up?

You setup the second sip account in one of the gateway fields. Let us assume you are using gateway 1, the sip provider is voipbuster, and your userid is avs. Gateway 1:

GW1 NAT Mapping Enable: (same as you have on Line tab)
In the example above the provider's sip proxy is sip.voipbuster.com. In the example above avs and your_password are the userid and password for a specific account at the provider.
You put a prefix element in the dial plan, let us assume you put #8 for the prefix and wish a 2d dial tone after you dial #8:

You dial #8 and you get a new dial tone, you dial the number and the number is sent to the gateway provider for call termination. The sip provider that you use must allow you to make calls without registration. Some providers don't allow making calls without registration.

10.8 Server (VPN Secure Internet Gateway) setup question

I am running Mountain Lion 10.8.4 with Server 2.2.1
I am attempting to setup the server to allow connection to my internal/Private LAN
I have the source (External Internet access) setup as #1 in the service order (en0)
and the Private network as the secondary (en4)
I followed the steps on http://macminicolo.net/mountainlionvpn and input my own IP's when needed
I am able to connect and authenticate to the vpn and able to get internet access through the vpn
unfortunatly I am unable to reach anything on my private LAN
this is my settings in my customNATRules:
nat on en4 from 10.0.0.0/24 to any -> (en4)
pass from {lo0, 10.0.0.0/24} to any keep state
i have the sysctl.conf setup with
net.inet.ip.forwarding=1
I also changed the com.apple in pf.anchors to reflect the instructions above
Network Settings
(en0) My external ip is 192.168.168.4 to my firewall (not giving you my full outside)
and the DNS Server is pointing to itelf via 127.0.0.1
(en4) My Private LAN is set with the DNS to my private DNS servers
VLAN is setup with the same settings as the instructions state in the link above and I have the DNS set as 127.0.0.1
DNS Server Settings
I have my DNS server configured with my local hostname with the Vlan, internal ip, and external ip pointing back to the hostname.
i have the forwarding DNS servers configured to my private DNS servers for the private lan and as the 3rd I have 8.8.8.8 for general internet
VPN Server settings
I have the host name and shared secret set
I have 10 IP's for client addresses with the same IP segment as the VLAN
DNS settings i have routed back to the gateway of the vlan
I have one route configured i am using in my private lan to be routed private
is there anything I am missing or setting up incorrectly? I am struggling at this point and need some help.

A transceiver doing what ?
You need something people can call in (usually an isdn or modem line), the WAP gateway attached to the RAS access and add routing capabilities to the host if required.
The remaining part is of no special interest, as those are standard component and application servers.
The WAP gateway defines a gateway into the common internet architecture so there is nothing special on that side.
As far as it comes to WAP, you should be aware that several mobiles are behaving differentyl when faced with a WAP gateway, especially when trying to call in.
I had this once when trying out 3 different mobile phones from different vendors before I figured out that the WAP gateway was not the problem- all phones made trouble.

RFC gateway setup in XI and R3

Do we need to create one RFC destination in XI and another one in R3 for achieving this. And what are the parameters (gatewayhost, service, program id ) need to be supplied. Much appreciated.

2. Create sender RFC adapter and put the details and put the same program ID that you have given in RFC destination
3. Test the RFC destination and see if it's working.
4. Complete your IR and ID config
5. Run RFC from transaction SE37 with the RFC destination created in the step 1 and all input values.

Solaris 10 VPN server/gateway setup

Hi all,
I have a V20z running Solaris 10 at home, and I would like to set it up as a VPN server. The Solaris 10 is behind a router with a reserved private IP assigned by DHCP and port forwarding set up for only SSH at the moment. The router has a static external IP.
I'm not exactly sure what the terms are for what I'm trying to do, but this is basically it:
When I am out of town or overseas, I want to be able to connect from my laptop running OS X or Linux to my Solaris 10 server at home, and have the S10 server act as a proxy(?) (gateway?) for all the traffic from my laptop; for example, if I was in a place where nytimes.com was blocked and wanted to be able to browse from my laptop by having the Solaris 10 server proxy (transparently) my requests and forward the responses back to me. I hope I'm explaining this ok...
I have searched a lot online for how to do this, and I have found a lot of info, but nothing that really ties it all together. I'm pretty comfortable working in the shell and doing config stuff, but it would be a huge help if anyone could explain all the pieces I need to snap together to get this working.
These are my questions:
1. What is what I have described called? Just "VPN" or "VPN router," or "VPN gateway"?
2. What software do I need on my Solaris 10 server to do this?
A lot of what I read pointed me to OpenVPN, but I am not clear if OpenVPN alone would enable me to use the public web via the VPN.
If not, then what would I need to have on the server to enable incoming requests over the VPN connection to be rerouted to the public internet?
3. I'm sure I can figure this out if I can just get the server VPN working, but if anyone happens to know, I'd appreciate it:
Built into OS X Networking Prefs I have the ability to add a VPN interface of either of these 2 types:
"PPTP"
"L2TP over IPsec"
From what I have read so far, it seems like IPsec is likely the only reasonable choice, but the option of "L2TP over IPsec" confuses me since I haven't read that they are required to be used together.
Will this option work for connecting to my Solaris VPN server or will I need a 3rd-party app?
Any guidance would be a tremendous help.

Assuming that you had the right security in place you could have the "Home" box export it's display back to the "Roving" box and then just run a web browser over X. Something like SSH with X forwarding.
