Edit item details in PO

Hi Experts,
I have a PR and a PO with wrong cost center used. I'm trying to edit the cost center ( under account assignment tab ) but the field cannot be edited. The status of the PO was not yet released. Kindly advise if it's still possible to edit the item details.

There is some other setting blocking the account assignment field to be editable. I just checked the scenario on my system. I created a PO, then tried to edit the PO through Me22n, its letting me edit the cost center.
Why dont you create a PO with account assignment on QAS system and see whether it is allowing you to change the PO account assignment in me22n. If yes, then there is some document blocking this feild to be editable.

Create/Edit button on Items Detail Iview very very slow

Hi,
I created a MDM resultset iview and MDM Item Details Iview for a very large table. When I click on the create or edit button on the Item Details iview, it keeps running and never finishes. This table has many fields and has many records but on the iview itself I am just displaying not more than 10 fields.
When I created an item details iview for another small table, I can create and edit the records in no time. But for the above table, it takes for ever to Edit/Create.
Can anybody tell me what the issue could be?

Hi Laxmi,
The portal is just the front end replicating the processes of the backend system in your case the MDM system.
Using the MDM repository with large number of records will cause a delay in creting or editing or even selcting records when operatings these functions from the MDM Data manger it self.
In that case EP is just replicating this issue on the front end.
As you have rightly mentioned that for smaller number of records in the MDM rep the function swork faster.It clearly indicates that even if you select less number of fields to be displayed on the front end,the backend still contains the large set of fields which needs to be processed,and this consume stime.
To fasten your process on both the backend end and the front end systems you need to correctly design the data model and the fields properties which will improve the performance.

Mis match in attributes of item category B-limit and PO item details

Hi
I could not able to create a Blanket PO with document type FO and item category B (limit).
Normally for a blanket PO, GR is not allowed and IR is mandatory. So, I could able to see these checkboxes for GR (not set and grayed) and IR (set and grayed) in the item details of the PO in delivery and invoice tabs. But I end with an error message that 'GR is not set is used is not allowed' (exactly i don't remember but some thing like that)
Before creating a blanket PO, I found that in 'attributes of item categories', that for the item category B, GR is set and IR is not set (in customizing-OMH4). Of course, one cannot change the attributes of item categories.
I suppose due to this mis-match in the attributes of item categories and that in the PO, I'm getting an error message while creating a blanket PO and could not able to save.
Also I have checked all the system messages for the message displayed. No where(i.e. in any message class or category and for that message number) I found any such message defined with error in 'attributes of system messages' for purchasing, material master, inventory, invoice verification etc.
I suppose this error message is coming somewhere from the application program for the PO.
So, what can be the solution

Thank you for your answer. I haven't mention this point in my thread but I have already tried this.
I have tried matching the GR and IR controls of account assignment category with PO GR, IR controls and also with item category B, GR, IR controls. Still i am getting the same error and could not able to save the PO
Also I have checked the field settings for PO for all categories like transaction relevant, item category relevant, etc in customizing.
Main problem is both GR and IR controls are being grayed in PO. Other wise I could able to change them as per my wish and could able to avoid the error even though the GR and IR controls in PO are correct as per the process requirement.
If possible, please check the GR and IR controls for item category B (in my system it showing that GR is set with binding and IR is not set with binding). But it should be reverse as per the process requirements and in limit PO it is showing correctly. i.e. with GR is not set with binding and IR is set with binding.

SAP Note 1486147 - TDS line item details not flowing in Form 16 A Samrtform

1.     Old Form 16 certificate is printed before 01.04.2010 and new certificate after 01.04.2010. (its correct SAP has written code in such a manner Old one is SAP script and new on is Smartform.)
Old FORM 16 A gets Acknowledgement No details correctly.

Hi,
Achnowledgement details comes in table it_qrtrtab at run time in the smartform, you can dibug the program j_1iewt_cert and smartforms J_1iewt_cert where at run time you will able to see data avaialability, If values are not available in this internal table then check related notes given by SAP, I have already implemented this note and also faced same issue but my FI consultant has given me the related note and my issue was resolved.
Please checkout related notes and data population in the dibugger.

Error while Editing Item - After importing pagegroup

Hi All,
We have Oracle Application server 10g (10.1.2) with Oracle Portal 10.1.2.0.0. as a test environment in win 2000 server.
We installed a new Oracle Application server 10g (10.1.2) (production) with 10.1.2.0.2 in Suse Linux Enterprise server 9. every thing was fine.
We have migrated one simple page group from source(win) to a new Portal in Linux ( by following the steps of Portal export / import Doc.). This is by exporting transport set, dmp file in source side and importing dmp file and transport set on the target. The import was successful. I checked the Navigator and found the imported page Group. Also all the sub pages and items have been found with proper regions.
But when i'm trying to edit any item,region or adding region,item, it shows the following error. -----------------------
ERROR :General invalidation message processing exception: User-Defined Exception (WWC-40018)
General invalidation message processing exception: Error invalidating content, Non-200 status code returned by Web Cache. Status: 407 Proxy Authentication Required ( The ISA Server requires authorization to fulfill the request. Access to the Web Proxy service is denied. ) (WWC-40018)
Note:Please kindly note that our repository and portal midtier on same machine. So there is no firewall between portal and repository. Also there is no proxy settings given in Portal. Moreover, I reinitialized the webcache invalidator password in both web cache admin and Portal. Nothing is working.
Please kindly help me in this regard urgently. and provide me the solution along with the navigation details.

Create a report same as KSB1 and add WBS line item details in the output

Hello Everyone,
I need to create a report exactly like KSB1 which should have a selection screen exactly like KSB1 but it should also display the WBS line item details from CJI3.
What is the right way of doing it? Please advice.
COEP is pretty huge in Production, and we need to fetch data by a specific date in selection screen or a cost center group. This can take a long time to fetch data from the table based on selection screen input. Are there function modules or do we need to use some other tables to fetch data same as COEP?

This issue got resolved.
SAP suggested to execute the program "FAGL_CORR_0001" for company code wise.
In ECC 5.00 from support pack 10 onwards two new fields has been added to table FAGLFLEXA. (earlier we are on support pack 9, recently we applied the latest support pack)
If we can execute the above program FAGL_CORR_0001, the two new fields will filled with relevant data and then we can able to use drill down option.

How to retrieve selected item details (Product Id, Quantity) in Action clas

I want to retrieve the selected item details (Product Id, Quantity) in my custom action class .I am calling custom action event after u2018add to cartu2019 button clicked. I basically need these details to pass to custom BAPI. I can able to retrieve User Name and itemkey successfully. I Tried to retrieve the product , productID using WebCatItem but I was getting run time error and when I debug the code I can see webCatItem coming as null. Below is my code.

Hi Arvinda,
From which page you are trying to add products in cart? Are you selecting only 1 item at a time and then click on Add to cart button or you select more then 1 items to add into cart.
You can ceate hidden input filed and set their value through java script when you select any item. If more then 1 items then you can create an arry and set in the request parameter and then retrieve it in your custome class.

Hi,
As i told you there is no badi to do this.
1-What you can do is to create a CUF in the accounting tab to store your asset category.
You will then have to
2- hide the standard field but let the standard populate it with a default value from the org structure
3- add in the SRM iMG the cuf field for the accounting data.
4- code bbp_doc_change_badi to populate your CUF field
5- code bbp_driver_determine in order to call the FM to create the asset
6- create 1 FM in ECC to create the asset (copy of bapi_fixedasset_create1)

Item Details - Event for 'Create', 'Close' buttons - possible?

I am looking for EPCF Events for Item Details iView. I am able to show the record in this iview by selectIdHandler. Now, i want to clear the iView content - the functionality when we click 'Close' button.
So, does any one of you know any Events to fire Create, Close buttons on Item Details iView?

How to control lookup table's attributes using 'item details' iview???

Using 'Item Details' iview we have an option to edit, visible or non-visible. But there is no option to control visible, editable or non-editable at attribute level of the lookup table.
Does any one know any solution for this scenario apart from custom development using Java Api.

I know that, at moment, is not possible in MDM standard iView to control visible, editable or non-editable at attribute level of the lookup table.
May be it will be possible in the future. More flexibility you can obtain using Java API.

Using externalRequestEvent with Item Details iView

Hi gurus,
I am using the Item Details iView and calling it with syntax like that:
externalRequestEvent=com.sap.pct.mdm.appl.masteriviews.events.externals.SetSelectedIdHandler&id=
I have the Item Details iView showing up correctly, but I have to click on the Edit button to change the rocord.
Is there any way that it directly goes to Edit mode when the Item Details iView gets open? An option perhaps?

Even I am trying to implement the same example. I have created the MDM Item Details iView in one of the PCD folders. But I am not sure how to extract the URL for the same to use it in my webdynpro code. Can you please advise me how get the URL for the iView? How did you construct this long URL?

Please clarify on following points to answer your query regarding MDM item details iview:
a) Is it standard SAP content?
b) create is getting disabled - Is create button visible for you or not visible to anybody? If not, check in PCD what are the authorizations required
c) customisation - What do you mean by this?
If you want to create custom details screen, it is possible. Steps to be followed for this :
i) Go to result set view of the respective entity
ii) create 'on row select' event and pass id through the event
iii) subscribe to the event in your custom developed application
iv) capture the id and fetch the data from MDM based on data fetched

Fields in iView Item Details -create mode- are disabled

we are using SAP MDM Standard iViews (Item Details) to create new data records.
In some iViews on specific tables - I coudn't find any logic - the fields are grey and disabled instead of white and ready for data entry after pressing button "create". Does anyone has an idea for this? All parameters are set to enable=yes. The tabels are stadnard flat tables. The Roles in MDM are allowing read/write on the fields.

I create(d) an iview of type Item Details on this table once -and it works! Then I created a similar iView and it didnt work - the fields are grey
From what i understood from your problem statement is that you are creating two item details iView refering to the same table say Products.
It means you are are trying to give provision to edit or create the same record through two separeate item detail iview.Or in other words when you select a single record from the result set iview it should display the details in both the item detail iview and also allow you to edit it.
I am not sure whether this requirement as you are using the same fields in two independent iviews and expect them to work concurrently.
I may be wrong but this could be one of the reason why when selecting the fields for modification in one item detail view it is showing greyed out in the other.
