Edit The Task

we edit the tasks (task names in the project ) in project plan , what is the impact on timesheet.? Is there any chance that the timesheets get ‘rejected’ status?
Surendra Singh, MCITP: SharePoint Administrator 2010

Hi Surendra,
The timesheet approval process is not correlated with the task name but with the task GUID. Thus changing the task name has no impact on the timesheet status.
Hope this helps,

  • Edit the task flow which is default in template for top navigation

    Hi,
Where can I get the the default task flow file (i. e. spacesNavigationPanel) for collaborative with top navigation template?
I want to edit the task flow for navigation.
    Thanks,
    A

Here are the steps to find the default task flow file (i. e. spacesNavigationPanel) for collaborative with top navigation template :
Note: I am assuming you're using Oracle WebCenter Portal 11.1.1.8.x
Goto Portal Builder - Assets tab localhost:8888/webcenter/portal/builder/administration/assets
Select Page Templates under Structure from left side pane and you'll see list of out of the box page templates (source not editable) and custom page templates (source editable) on the right side pane.
Take a copy of the existing 'Collaborative with Top Navigation' page template
Select the row 'Collaborative with Top Navigation'
    Click on Actions -> Copy
Change the display name (Default : Copy of Collaborative with Top Navigation) and description if needed.
Click OK to create a copy of 'Collaborative with Top Navigation' page template
Select the row w.r.t. newly created page template Copy of 'Collaborative with Top Navigation'
Click the checkbox to make it Available (Optional if you want to use this template later)
Click on Actions -> Edit Source to edit the source of selected page template.
You'll see template code in the window (by default).
Click on 'Page Definition' tab at the bottom of the template code window i.e. Switch to Page Definition tab.
    Under Executables, you can see the taskflow code w.r.t. spacesNavigationPanel as follows :      <taskFlow id="spacesNavigationPanel" taskFlowId="/oracle/webcenter/webcenterapp/view/taskflows/navigation/SpacesNavigationTopPanelCollaborative.xml#SpacesNavigationTopPanel" Refresh="ifNeeded" activation="deferred" xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/adf/controller/binding"/>
I hope it answers your question.

  • Editing a task in GW Cal removes the task from the tasklist

User assigned herself a task and copied her supervisor. If she goes in and edits the task it remains on her calendar but removes it from her tasklist folder. Why can you not see edited tasks in the tasklist folder? Thanks.

An excellent question, I get the same behaviour, and it certainly sounds
wrong and not how I've experienced using Tasks in the past (I haven't
used GW directly much for tasks in a few versions)
What happens if her supervisor edits the task?
What if her supervisor creates the task and issues it to her and then she
    edits it?
It would be very interesting to see how different combinations of people
    creating/editing shows up.
Do you have much in the way of SRs available to you? If you do that
might be the way to go, otherwise we certainly have other methods
    available to dig for you.

  • Editing a Task

    Dear Experts,
I am facing a strange problem. In swdd when I go to task inside activity step, I see that from the menu
Standard task - Display<->Change is disabled. In swu3 I see that maintain runtime environment, maintain definition time environment, classify tasks as general are all green. So I am currently going to PFTC each time to edit the task. Can you please tell me why this option is disabled.
    KR,
    Bharath

    Hi Swami,
Thanks a lot for your reply. I also tried with user decision step. I copied the 00008267 std task id into a custom task id. There also similar to activity step task I find that I am not able to edit it. Swami before reporting this to Basis I want to confirm that this props is not due to any workflow setting if any that I have missed. Swami can you please tell me whether is there any thing else that I need to check.

  • How do I edit what information is displayed in the "Tasks Log"?

We currently have a highly customized version of the Primavera Unifier Product v9.13.6.0.  We would like to edit what information is displayed in the "Title" field of the Tasks Log.  For some BPs the Title field is populated from the Record Number.  For other BPs this field is populated from one of the custom fields from the BP.
We have been looking through the documentation available, and through uDesigner, and the Company Admin mode but have yet to locate the section where we would be able to change what field (per BP) would populate the Title field of the "Tasks Log" in each Shell (Home Tab, Company Shell, Project-level shells).
Any assistance or insight would be appreciated.
    Regards,
    -Kevin

It is not possible to configure what is displayed in the Task log. Since the Task log is used for all BPs, we are limited to displaying what is common across all BPs. Find does support the ability to search on other fields not shown in the log.

  • How to disable the edit Permission after the task approval in project server 2010.

    Hi ,
    Can this be done.
How to disable the edit Permission after the task approval in project server 2010.
I mean How to Disable approve/Reject Permission Once task approved in project server 2010.
Any Help Would be more than Welcome.

    Hi Rohan,
Just talking about the tool capabilities, preventing a task approver (status manager) to approve/reject updates once he has already approved once is not possible out-of-the-box. You grant permissions to user: if you grant a user to approve task updates then
he has the permission to approve updates, no matter if it is the 2nd or 3rd time the task is approved or rejected.
Then of course you could do not custom development to do that.
I'd say that in order to help you, we would need to understand a little bit more your business need. Why do you need to achieve such a goal? We can surely propose you workaround.
    Hope this helps.

  • Task Manager Packaged App  - edit link doesn't edit the correct task

I'm a relative new-comer to APEX, I downloaded and installed the Task Manager app from the OTN site but it's not working as it should.
I have created a list of tasks, but when I click on the EDIT link (page 3) the task that opens is always the last one created. I've checked the link and it looks OK - P22_ID has a name of #TASKID#
This makes the app unusable, since I can't edit tasks in progress (unless it's the last one created), and I'd rather not re-invent the wheel.
Has anyone got a solution, or can download it and have a look - http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/database/application_express/packaged_apps/packaged_apps.html#TASK
    I'm using APEX 3.2.
    Thanks

    Thanks for the reply Ravikumar,
Unfortunately this solution is inapplicable to my version of the OS as it is 64-bit and not 32-bit. Do you have any other ideas?
    Best,
    - Kiril
Yes, PAE((Physical Address Extension) is supported only on 32-bit versions of the
Windows, operating system 64-bit versions of Windows do not support PAE. For information about device driver and system requirements for 64-bit versions of Windows, see
64-bit System Design. The Address Windowing Extension (AWE) API is supported on 32-bit systems. It is also supported on x64 systems for both native and Wow64 applications.
Useful link for Address Windowing Extensions is:http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/aa366527(v=vs.85).aspx

  • How do I get the line above the tasks, which allows you to edit the cell contents, without double clicking the cell?

    As title says.
Normally in Gantt Chart View, above the tasks there's a line which displays the contents of the cell you have selected, and allows you to edit the contents without having to double click the cell.
In my case, this line is not there, and it is slightly hindering my work.
So, does anyone know where I should go to re-enable this line?
    Thanks a lot!

    Hi,
Go to file, then options, then display and check the "entry bar" option.

  • The task cannot be processed further until the current edit session is act

    Dear Sir/Madam
I have installed standalone Oracle WebLogic Server 11g(10.3.6) with Sherman Update3,for I used JDeveloper 11g Release 2 (11.1.2.3.0).
I Sometimes got below message for several times and it can be repeatable when I have wanted to deploy my applications.
"[11:38:24 AM] [Deployer:149140]The task cannot be processed further until the current edit session is activated. When this occurs, task processing will continue. The user can exit the deployer tool without affecting the task."
Furthermore, I run weblogic console and I see to appear the two buttons "Activate Changes & Undo All Changes" in spite of the weblogic is in development mode, yet the state of my application is "deploy initialize". I Click "Activate Changes" button but it's not happened.
Finally, for dealing with this problem, I have to shutdown & start up the weblogic .Next, I can deploy my application.
    Best Regards,
    Saeed.

    Hi,
That message is not an error. It means that you need to connect to the WebLogic Server Console and activate the changes.
    Solution
Access the WebLogic Server Console and click on Activate Changes.
Confirm if your application shows in the WebLogic Server Console under "Deployments".

  • Edit the 'New Task' iView

    Hello!
I want to know if there's a way to edit the 'New Task' iView from the Universal Worklist iview (com.sap.netweaver.bc.uwl.ui.UWL).
I want to put a specific USER in the field 'Assigned to' and make it fixed, where the user could not change it.
Is it possible ? how can it be done ?
    Thanks in advance,
    Alessandro

    Hello Alessandro,
New UWL Task iView is based on an WebDynpro application. There are two ways to accomplish your task:
    1) Write your own, completely new, application
    2) Use and modify existing standard one.
No doubt, second approach is easier.
    You are interested in application
    tckmcbc.uwl.ui~wd_ui/UWL
    (WD Project : tckmcbc.uwl.ui~wd_ui ; Application : UWL)
    Workaround is following:
    1) download this app. from WEB AS
    2) import it into your NWDS, the sources are built in
    3) Modify UWL application (component)
    4) ... the most challenging point, depends on the access point you want to use your modified app. at.
When deploying, you usually upload your application to "local" namespace. In this case, u have to modify the link of the command (button) that starts the wizard, to point it to your locally deployed app.
Or you can (manually) modify the MANIFEST.MF and SAP-MANIFEST.MF files in result package (ear for WD), to change the "local" key-vendor and key-location values to [sap.com]. Then your application will replace standard one and will be used as default (no need to customize noth.).
For example, we had a request to add "New UWL Task" button to Meeting detail iView (Collabotration). Another request was: automatically set the meeting Subject to UWL task name.  To do so, we had do decompile standard MeetingOverview functionality and ad another button "Create Task" to meeting detail page. Then this button was linked to our custom application. If you are interested, i could send you that WD UWL project, we've have prepared (to avoid steps 1-2).

  • Edit the standard task mail Text

    Hello Experts,
Could any one help me to change the text for the standard task mail content. Here I am applying a loan and approver approves the task this generates the mail and mail is being received. But I need to change the content of that mail as per my BP. Where can I find to change the content.
    Thanks & Regards
    Kannan
    Edited by: Kanna83 on Dec 13, 2011 6:04 PM

    Hello,
If you know which workflow is sending the mail, then use e.g. PFTC_DIS to look at the workflow and figure out which task (TS....) contains the text. In some cases SAP lets you customise the text in the standard task, otherwise you could create a custom task and replace it (the standard task).
If you don't know which workflow it is, look in SWI1 at the time the mail was sent.

How do I display on the opening screen on Adobe Acrobat (Windows) version 9, the task bar that has "File," "Edit," etc--it's vanished. Slobberdog

    Hi slobberdog,

  • How can I get an Extension's toolbar icon to display image without text (without universally affecting other icons)? How can I edit the icons text (save space)?

"From the Show dropdown menu, you can choose what to display in the toolbars: icons, text, or icons and text together. By default, Firefox shows icons only." Is there a way to choose an individual setting for a specific toolbar icon to be icon only (no text) without universally affecting all other icons on the toolbars?
Second, is there a way to edit the text on a specific toolbar button from an extension (because it occupies too much horizontal space on the toolbar due to the amount of text)? I do know how to locate the xpi file & open it with notepad, but then it's mainly code (not English) & FIND doesn't locate the button's text (to edit it).
These 2 questions should apply to Extension buttons in general. However IF it makes any difference I'm referring to the Toolbar Button in Back To Top 7.0 which says "Go to top/bottom". I'd at least like to edit out "Go to", but my questions apply to other Extension buttons too. I do realize it may be necessary to redo any fix/change each time there is an update? THANK YOU.

We use the DOM Inspector to find the IDs and Class Names of elements.
    * DOM Inspector: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/dom-inspector-6622/
The DOM Inspector (DOMi) has a menu item (Edit > Select Element By Click) and a toolbar button "Find a node to inspect by clicking on it" (left icon on the toolbar in the DOMi).
    * open the browser window in the DOMi (File > Inspect <b>Chrome</b> Document) and choose the first from the list.
    * click the "Find a node to inspect by clicking on it" button and use the keyboard (Alt Tab) or the Task bar to go back to the browser window (do not click in the browser window other than the title bar).
    * click that element with the mouse and keep the button pressed until you see a red border to indicate the the DOMi has located that element in the DOM tree.

  • How do I synch the tasks in ical with my Iphone?

The tasks in ical on miy Imac do not synch with ' herinneringen' on my iphone. Does anyone has a solution?

If the old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, temporarily recreate the old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice on your devices, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll.  When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.
