Editing schema for leave entitlement

Hi All,
I am basically a abaper. We have a change in company policy for annual leave entitlement.
I want to know how to make this change? I can see from my sytem that there are some customized rules available. But i don't know how to change it? can anyone help me out
I basically don't know much about schema and how customized settings are done for HR.
under set base entitlements i choose modify schema, how to proceed?

Hi Anuradha Ramanathan,
If you are using the RPTQTA00 report to generate the absence quota then you can follow the foolowing steps.
To increase the quota of Annual leave you need to change the Base entitlement of this Quota Type.
First find the Quota type of Annual Leave. Also find the appropriate ESG Grouping and PSG Grouping for which you want increase the entitlement of annual leave.
now go to SPRO->Time Management->Time Data Recording and Administration->Managing time Accounts Using Attendance/Absence Quotas->Calculating Absence Entitlement->Rules for generating Absence Quotas->Define Generation Rules for Quota type Selection.
Here in selection rules select the appropriate ESG and PSG and check the rule for Base entitlement.
Now go to Base entitlement and change the Constant in Entitlement.
Just pay attention to dates while changing the entry.
also check if the same rule of base entitlement is used else where then it will effect those entries as well.
to see the effect you will have to genetrate Absence quota for that employee again using the report RPTQTA00.

Yes Ketul, the request ID is getting passed properly. Is there any iview which needs to be created in portal for this as I can see in some SAP help documentation that OBN nativation requires an iview in portal.

FM for leave details

Hi Frenz..
Is there any FM for getting the leave details from infotypes 2001 and 2006. i.e., it should provide the details of leave taken, entitled, balance etc.?

I am not sure about the technical stuff. But I have explored and found two FM that I think can be useful to you.
HR_GET_LEAVE_DATA - For leave entitlements etc.
BAPI_ABSENCE_GETDETAIL -For Absences Information.

Report for deleting Leave Entitlement in Infotype 5

Hi all
I would like to know if there is a Standard Report to delete leave entitlement in Infotype 5: I made a mistake in generating the leave entitlement for 2007, so I would like to delete all the records inserted.
I'm working in SAP 46C, and I used HR_RPILVA00 to create leave entitlement.

Hello,
I would advise you to use at customizing level which is achievable on your case.
The best way to proceed on your case would be to use IT0041 and on T559L for the relevant rule, you would use the Accrual Period Rel. to date type in which the period is defined in relation to a date type from the Date Specifications infotype (0041). You determine the accrual period using the length fields (for example, the date the employee joined the company, with the period you require, for example one year).
Then, you can accrue via RPTIME00 or RPTQTA00.
This would be much more scalable than doing customizing at code level.

I cannot find the schemas for the tutorial Order Entry - I did find the 8i version from several years ago but they do not seem to work - Where can I find the SQL script for installing OE schemas for 10G Express Edition

Thanks - but this document only points to PDF installation instructions - the only physical sql script files I can find for Schema (OE) are for 8i and they do not seem to work - I know that the 10G database and 9i ship with them but I am using XE - I also tried to download the companion disk for 10g (where they say these schemas are located) and could not find the scripts. This has taken so long to figure out.

Time evaluation error "Error while positioning ABWKONTI" for leave entitlem

We are currently running on SAP ECC5. Time evaluation is run with schema TQTA everymonth to create leave quotas in info type 2006.
I am experiencing a time evaluation error "Error while positioning ABWKONTI" for one employee when running TQTA.
This employee was engaged on 14/08/2006. When I checked the logged changes per infotype, I found that a record for 14/07/2006 was deleted. I did check all the infotypes and all is reflecting the correct start date. I would really appreciate if someone can tell me how to fix this problem. Currently the leave entitlements are being processed manually. Please see below the error I am receiving:-

How do I make Photoshop the default Edit App for .jpg in Windows 7?

How do I make Photoshop the default Edit App for .jpg in Windows 7?    I want to be able to right click on a .jpg file, select the EDIT option in the Context Menu, then have Photoshop edit the file instead of Paint.
In Windows XP it was very easy to use the File Manger to associate the file type .jpg and action edit with Photoshop.    No so easy in Windows 7. It is easy to change the default OPEN application, but I would like to leave Windows Viewer as the default OPEN application and have Photoshop as the EDIT applicaiton.

Before I posted the original question here, I had probably spent a couple of hours trying to research it.   I hate to find no answer for something I know can be done.   So I spent some more time and found the following in the bowels of a Tech Forum that is generally way over my head. I have modified it to be Photoshop specific.
These instructions will update the default EDIT action for image types - jpg,png,gif and the variations.     If you are unfamiliar with editing the program registry you probably will want to back up your registry or take a system backup.
1. Open up the registry editor (Regedit.exe).
You will need to be signed on as a Windows user that is an administrator
2. Find HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT -> SystemFileAssociations -> image -> shell -> edit -> command
This seems like it would be easy but it is not, because there are many key names that are very close (like System.FilesAssociations).   Keep looking because you will find it eventually.
3. Double click on "Default" (on right window pane) and update the program location.
You should see that MSPAINT.EXE is the current program.
Erase the existing value and enter you photoshop location in quotes followed by %1 in quotes. For me this is "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS4\Photoshop.exe" "%1"
Hit return.
4. Exit Regit and test.

so from the above markup the name field is not part of the edit form,, i think this is because the Name is part of the Document content type and not part of the enterprisewiki content type .. so is there a way to add the name field to the edit
form ?.
second question, the edit form will show all the content type fields such as ; standard, document type, department , title (display in search), etc so what is the best way to remove these fields from the custom edit form ?

This can only be done by adding VBScript to the form. It would basically be:

... where "P.2" would be what you named the page you want to display first.

Pricing Schema for Project System

Dear Sappers,
I'm configuring Pricing Schema for Project System(PS) module.
The requirement is, the schema will be in such a way that it supports both excise, CST, VAT and service tax.
In PS module the user raises a Purchase Order having procurement of material as well as taking service from Vendor.For this in PO he will maintain both material as well as service.
I'm configuring the Pricing schema in MM - Purchasing - Condition.
My question is for materials procurement, everything is working fine.But for service respect to activity number I want to maintain service tax and other cess in condition record.
But to maintain service tax & other cess for activity number, I want the access sequence of sevice to be in Purchasing.I've taken the standard table for Plant, Vendor, Purchase Organinzation and activity number combination from External Service management and making a new access sequence in MM - Purchasing.All fields are coming but for Activity number, it not taking the document structure and showing error.
How to overcome this??
Any suggestions will be highly appreciated.

As per you reply, the access sequence is already maintain in External Service Management.But I want to bring the same combination Plant, Vendor, Purchase Organizartion and Activity number that is Table 97 to MM - Purchasing - Conditions- Access Sequence.
I've tried to do it, but when I'm creating in MM - Purchasing, all document structure is copying except activity number.What I analyse the error is due to application area.Activity number is MS (External Service Management) area but i'm trying to do in M(Purchasing)
Even though when I enter manually MS for the access sequence system is not taking.
Suggest me.

Compare tables in two schemas for the table with particular column & value

Hello All,
I have a query to find out the list of table from a given schema to extract all the tables having a search column .
ex :
SELECT OWNER, TABLE_NAME, COLUMN_NAME FROM
ALL_TAB_COLUMNS WHERE OWNER='<SCHEMA_NAME>'
AND COLUMN_NAME='<COLUMN_NAME>'
I want to compare two schemas for the same above query .
Can we wirte a query on this - I am using SQL DEVELOPER , which has menu item - TOOL - database differneces to find the diffenence between two schemas but my requirement is to find the differences in two schemas for all the tables matching for a particular column ( as given in quer).
Appreciate your help.

This is the SQL and PL/SQL forum. If you have a question about SQL Developer, then the SQL Developer is a better place to post it. Mark this thread as "Answered" before starting another thread for the same question.
If SQL Developer has a tool for doing what you want, don't waste your time trying to devise a SQL solution. The SQL Developer way will probably be simpler, more efficient and more reliable.
If you do need to try a SQL solution, then post some sample data (CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements for a table that resembles all_tab_columns; you can call it my_tab_columns) and the results you want from that data.

Leave Entitlement defining using Exit

Hello Gurus,
I have a requirement according to which I need to redefine entitlement days depending on the probation period of employee.
An employee can have 3 or 6 months as probation period.
In probation period he is getting NIL pay.. and After probation period gets over for next 10 weeks he should get full pay and then NIL pay again..
I am having a single sickness scheme for it. which I need to override depending on the above mentioned condition.
I tried using 'EXIT_SAPLHRGPBS_OSP_OMP_ENT' but here you only get P_ENTITLEMENT_IN_DAYS as return value.
For example : If I have defaulted 3 months of probation period initially, but for current employee for whom I am creating absence is having 6 months as probation period. The initial 3 months should get replaced by 6 months. And the remaining time should also get reduced accordingly.
Need suggestions to formulate this condition in system.
Any kind of help is much appreciated..

Your quota 11 is in the Calender year and in Selection Rule i have mentioned it as a monthly. Running RPTQTA00 monthly. I am correct?
If i am correct then your configuration is littlebit wrong. Kindly check.
See you want to generate quota on monthly basis then in the base entitlement you have to give the month value(11/12=....) and choose the Accrual Radio button.
Then in the Selection rule Accrual Period would be Monthly and you want to use the rounding rule then use the rounding rule in Accrual entitlement tab. For base on quota variation with the joining date's in the month then you will tick on Pro Rata Calculation in Accrual Entitlement Tab and tick on Take account to change of Work center / Basic Pay in Base entitlement tab.
Check and tell me.
