EE phone exchange

I am having overheating issues with my M4 Aqua. I got is replaced today at the EE store but I fear that this one will be the same
I am less than 14 days into my contract and they said that they can exchange the phone
I was wondering, if it came to that, there are better deals at Carphone Warehouse. Is it possible to keep my plan and contract (as I do not know how to cancel since I bought in store) and get a few handset from carphone for the same contract price without cancelling

No this is not possible.

I need to make an appointment to get my phone exchanged under warranty, how do I go about that?

Call you local Apple store and ask to make a Genius Bar appointment,

  • Help! should i get my replacement phone exchange again? because there still has somebody's information left!

long story short, got my new iphone 5 on two weeks ago from radio shack, and got replacement from radio shack with same day due to overheat issue, and there cames a problem with battery drios with this replacement phone, because I don't know that radio shack got 30 days reuturn policy and they really gave me a hard time when exchange, so I went to apple store with two times and got my exchange, and I wasn't know the replacement phone was refurblished neither they told me, otherwise I definately won't change.
and I just found in setting-general-profile, there is somebody's profile in here , check the attachment, please note that this is after I restored with itunes and this information still in here.
I really don't know whether I should get exchange again? because they will still get me refurblished phone right?
    thanks for your help!

    Stop being so impatient.
If the device you received as a replacement from Apple has someone else's information they would not have allowed you to leave the store with it.  This would have been extremely obvious from the moment the device was powered up.
What exactly are you trying to accomplish here?  This all seems very suspicous.
Also, there is no such thing as a "new" iPhone5, they are no longer produced.  All iPhones come with a 1 year warranty... if the device is under warranty and the issue is covered, Apple will replace the device as many times as necessary until the warranty is expired.
It sounds more like the device was purchased as refurbished in which case there may be no warranty and everything may need to be addressed via RadioShack.

  • Unable to move Remember task/note between phone, exchange tasks and evernote folders

    Dear BB Support,
it is very easy to add a Remember note/task (Search remem... Add note...). That note/task is added to the phone folder of notes. But it is not possible to move the notes from this folder (it is filed under Unfilled items as default) to another folder such as that of Evernote or to the Tasks list of an Exchange account. Similarly, it is not possible to move any tasks or notes from the Evernote or Exchange folders to the Phone folder.
But obviously, I can create a note in all of the groups with the same parameters, so the notes should be interchangeable among all of the mentioned folder (types or providers).
What do you think about it, please? Is there any work around to this to add notes quickly to some other folder then Unfilled?

  • Unlock phone exchange in the US

If i buy an unlocked iphone from another country and it is exchanged at the genius bar at the apple store in the US, do they exchange with an unlock phone? if so how does that work since all phones in the US are locked to ATT? Thanks.

I had a problem with FaceTime disappearing from my phone after 4.1 update, I called the apple support and they offered to send me a new one.
    The problem isn't the phone.
    <http://www.tuaw.com/2010/09/24/confirmed-no-facetime-in-the-middle-east/>
"We have a report from a Saudi Arabian source that FaceTime is working in the kingdom. However, subsequent reports show that once the iPhones are updated from the shipping iOS version, 4.02, to the current 4.1 version, the FaceTime feature drops away."

  • Phone exchange

I purchesed a galaxy s5 with a new veriozon more everything plan last thursday. I decided last monday that i didnt want this phone and wanted to exchange it for an iphone 6 before my reuturn/exchange time was up. when i got to best buy they had none in stock so i placed a pre order for one. as it is getting closer to the date where i can no longer return/exchange my phone i still have no recieved my pre-order. i am wondering if i can bring back the galaxy s5 now and do and exchange for the iphone 6 even though it has not arrived yet, so that i dont run past my exchange time and so i dont have to cancel my plan all together.

    Hello sarahjstill,
Thank you for purchasing your latest phone from Best Buy.  I'm sorry to hear the GS5 didn't work out for you, but I'm happy to hear the iPhone 6 was a good alternative.
While I would have needed to inform you that we would need the physical inventory in order to process the exchange, it does appear the store was able to assist with that exchange process today!  I'm very happy to see there was not a problem with getting that product in before your return period had expired.  Please let us know if you have any additional questions.  Thanks for writing in, and thank you for being a My Best Buy member.

  • At&t next phone exchange

If I want to change my phone do I have to return everything like charger and box along with it?

Hi there! @Daggocampom  thanks for posting your question.
If you plan on exchanging your phone, you’ll want to ensure you include all items that were included in the box, including any printed material that came with the phone and do this within 14 days of purchase.
For more information on returning your phone for an exchange, please visit us online at http://www.att.com/shop/wireless/returnpolicy.html
    Hope this helps!

  • What is going on with 6.0.2 exchanged two phones today in store all with battery draining issue problem

Guys, what is going on two phones exchanged in store today all had battery draining problems once phone updated to iOS 6.0.2.
First phone wouldn't last 3 hours usage even in plane mode function.
Second phone bit better battery life 3 hours 15 minutes usage No Apps installed on both phone and location turn off even setup as new phone.

First of all, why did you say yes to Nero Back up before researching what it does with files already on the HDD? When I install Nero, the Back Up is the first thing I disable, it is a nagging pain, there are much better backup programs available. There are several file recovery programs out there to recover deleted files, that is, if that is what happened. Also, if you haven't overwritten the files, so you should be able to find them.

  • Can I sync my iPhone calendar with exchange server AND ical on my mac ?

I have been happily using my iPhone synced with my Macbook over usb via iTunes.
I have contacts and iCal syncing. I have a number of 'calendars' set up in iCal which allow me to view separate aspects of home and work but they all exist within iCal. iPhone just treats these as colour coded appointments (different colour for each ical calendar)
I really like this set up.
However, I just changed jobs to a firm where they have a hosted outlook exchange set up and I need to use the exchange calendar for work appointments and showing my availability.
I have managed to setup my iPhone to work with the Exchange server for email as well as in apple Mail on my mac. This has all worked fine. However, I hesitated when iPhone asked if i wanted to sync my contacts and calendar. I said no as I was unsure if my private calendar/contacts would be uploaded to the public work area.
In fact it seems that this is the least of my worries:
As I have read on apple support for iPhone:
"Note that after configuring an Exchange ActiveSync account, all existing contact and calendar information on the iPhone or iPod touch is overwritten. Additionally, iTunes no longer syncs contacts and calendars with your desktop computer. You can still sync your iPhone or iPod touch wirelessly with MobileMe services."
So I am really pleased that I didn't let it sync those and wipe out my personal data if that is really true.
But now I am unsure how best to enable myself to view and update the work calendar on exchange.
Also it would be nice to see work contacts on my iPhone.
    Contacts
    - although i have said no to sync contacts with Exchange in fact it looks like I can get contacts ok - when i send email from the Exchange account on the phone , it searches Exchange contacts on the server as i type in the TO box.
    - also in Contacts on the iPhone I have a new group that has been created with the name of my Exchange account. The group appears to be blank when you go into it on the phone, but you can type in the search box and get contact details from the server just fine.
This seems workable for now for my purposes, although updating contacts is not going to be possible that way.
I'd like more info on that if poss but more importantly..
    Calendar
    - Unlike Contacts, no Calendar has been auto created for Exchange
    - Unlike contacts, I can't see how I can view or search or create an appointment in my Exchange calendar on the iPhone
What is the best solution to this problem - I presume lots of people face the same dilemma. My initial research suggests that there are multiple ways round this but all of them look like workarounds with various disavantages.
    Questions are
    - Can't I just set up Exchange as one of my calendars in ical?
    - Is it really true that I have to choose between syncing Exchange with work server OR syncing iCal with personal Macbook?
    - What is the best work around for this?
At the moment I am seriously considering getting a separate iPhone for work and have that sync with Exchange fully although that seems a bit drastic and does not solve the problem of seeing work and home appointments on the same calendar.

Can't I just set up Exchange as one of my calendars in ical?
Only if you're running Snow Leopard and your employer will allow access (different than iPhone/mobile device access, so most likely not), but not needed - keep reading.
Is it really true that I have to choose between syncing Exchange with work server OR syncing iCal with personal Macbook?
No. It was true, but with the v3.0 software that changed - you can now sync your Exchange contacts and calendar over the air, and your Address Book and iCal via iTunes over the docking cable.
What is the best work around for this?
None needed. When you set up the exchange account, and choose to turn on syncing of contacts and calendars, you will be prompted to remove all other data, or keep it on the iPhone. Choose the keep option. Note that in that case, your personal data will not be uploaded to the Exchange server - the iPhone keeps them separate (although you can choose to view them in a merged fashion).
I have this set up on my phone (Exchange calendar along side personal and other calendars from iCal). Same for contacts. Works great.

  • Best Buy Return Policy for Cell Phones

I bought an LG G Flex on 1 July. I rooted it when I got home. A couple of days later, I found out that I would have to unroot it in order to get the KitKat update, so I returned it to stock condition and tried to get the update. It booted into Jellybean fine, I made sure that the recovery was back to stock, and I made sure that the SU binaries were not present.
I ran the update for KitKat, and my phone ended up shutting off and not turning back on. I had a full battery at the time. I'm not entirely sure what happened during the update process, but it looks like a partition got corrupted. I couldn't tell, because I couldn't turn the phone on. I figured I'd exchange the phone for a new one. I checked online to see if any of the Best Buy stores in my area had any G Flexes left in stock, and they didn't. I had to drive about an hour and a half away to Schaumburg, IL to try to do the exchange. While they were going through the process of trying to fix the phone before exchanging it, I told them that I could have fixed it if I could get it to boot into Download mode or recovery. They then asked me if I had rooted my phone. I told them that I had, but I returned it to stock in order to take the KitKat update. They refused to do the exchange, so I had to drive to the Best Buy in Arlington Heights, IL. At this store, a "multi-channel sales supervisor" named April {removed per forum guidelines} told me that they wouldn't be able to process the exchange because they couldn't turn the phone on. She directed me to call 888-BEST-BUY, which I did. The customer service representative looked at my account and told me that she had no idea why I was told I couldn't exchange my phone. By this time the Arlington Heights Best Buy had closed. I had to drive back out there the next day to get the issue resovled. It took me an hour and a half to get there. I was able to do the exchange at that time, and I saw April at the customer service counter and told her that the CSR I spoke with over the phone had no idea why I was told I couldn't do the exchange. She then told me that she had received an email from the Schaumburg store that I had rooted my phone and to not do the exchange. She then kicked me out of the store.
Firstly, the return policy says this regarding mobile device returns:
If you decide to return a phone or device with a plan, you are responsible for canceling your service contract with the carrier, and for all carrier charges.
There are two ways to return your phone or device and cancel your service:
    • Return your device to a Best Buy store. Be sure to tell the store associate that you want to cancel your service. Carrier service cancellation policies may vary.
    • Call Best Buy Mobile at 1-877-702-2211 (6 a.m. to midnight, CT) for instructions on how to return the device by mail. Let the phone associate know that you want to cancel your service.
There is nothing there about rooted or jailbroken devices. If Best Buy wants to exclude those devices, all it takes is adding one sentence: "Mobile devices with custom or altered firmware are not eligible for return or exchange under this Policy." Because there is nothing in the stated return policy against returning such a device, the Schaumburg store should have accepted the return. At the very least, they should not have notified other stores, seeing as I wasn't trying to get anyone to violate the return policy.
Secondly, I don't appreciate being lied to, and I feel that April lied to me. She was also incredibly rude to me when I asked about why she had directed me to call customer service. If she had told me that Schaumburg had told her that my phone was rooted, I could have dealt with the Schaumburg store and spoken with their manager. Asking me to leave the store for trying to figure out what the hell was going on (and after she had found out that I had already gotten my phone exchanged) was even more rude. I was not looking for a fight. I just wanted answers, and perhaps a little consideration for the fact that I had to waste four hours of my life dealing with this when it should have been dealt with the previous day.
These experiences, along with an ongoing problem with an online order that is not relevant to this topic and which I have explained in a thread that was about a similar problem, are making it incredibly unlikely that I will ever shop at Best Buy again. Not even for things that I have an urgent need for, like replaement charging cables when mine crap out. I can wait two days for Amazon to ship them to me. I am also more likely to tell my friends and family to avoid shopping at Best Buy because of these experiences.
The employees of the Best Buy stores in Schaumburg and Arlington Heights certainly seem like they actually want this:

    Hello again Sloppy_Carlton,
I’m glad to see you are utilizing the forums to reach out to us about multiple experiences, although I am sorry to see that neither of the experiences you posted about left you feeling delighted.
Per our Return & Exchange Promise, we may return or exchange almost everything; however, devices that are damaged would be excluded. It seems the unauthorized modification (rooting and unrooting the phone) may have been the cause of the phone not turning on when attempting to update your operating system to KitKat. We would not be able to accept this device for an exchange or return as it would be considered damage from the unauthorized modification.
That being said, I’m glad to hear you seem to have been provided a one-time solution to this experience. We truly value your insight and the time you have taken to share these insights with us. If you should need any further assistance, please feel welcome to reach out to us.
Thank you for posting on the forum!

  • Songs dont appear on phone.

I recently got my phone exchanged under warranty. The new phone came with os 4 so required updating. Having updated it appears that all my music has synced ( 10 of 13gb used on phone ) but very few songs appear to be on there when phone is in music mode. Where are they if not on phone and why is the phones memory so full if they are not there???

I have the same problem. I have music files from my old computer and transferred it to the one where my phone is synced. Itunes plays it well but if I transfer the file to my phone, it's just greyed out with a broken circle beside it. It's driving me nuts because I was able to transfer before the latest iOs update came. Now everything is screwed up.

  • Crackling phone line and broadband disconnecting

I'll try and keep this short as i have no intention of wasting another 4 hours of my life trying to explain how disappointed i've been with my BT Infinity broadband.
I have recently come to the end of my 18 month contract so was looking for a new provider. I have been getting speeds of 10MB for a while, when i should be getting much higher download speeds. My phone line has always crackled badly and whenever i use the home phone the router resets itself.
I made the decision that if BT could rectify any problem with my speeds i would stay with them. I have basically been told that the problem is in my house. There is no problem whatsoever with my phone line so any engineer visit would cost me a fortune.
After using the BT line test/speed test it tells me that the speeds between my home and the phone exchange (0.7 miles away) is just under 10Mbps. Does this mean that there isn't anything wrong with the internal set up of my broadband and if so why did none of the several people i spoke come to this conclusion? I've been paying for the 76Mbps service for 18 Months and not one person at BT has ever offered a solution just the same scripted rubbish that it is me that had the problem. Not only have i spent a fortune on the broadband itself, i also bought new phones on the recommendation of another BT "expert".
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I use the home hub 4. Yes it does have a filter on it and then the phone plugs into that. Tried test socket this morning and still getting crackling on the line.
