Effects on images not starting out hidden

Under Dreamweaver Spry 1.6 I have a link that calls a new
browser window and that page has an image that should both fade in
and grow from 0% to 100% using the appear/fade grow/shrink effects.
When the window first opens I see the image in full size for
split second, then it disappears and the fade-in/grow effect
starts. When I reload the page, the effects work as they should,
this only happens the first time the page is loaded.
Do I need some kind loading.gif to show up the first time a
spry effect is used or is there some additional code I need?

Hi,
using the display:none property you should have a container
around image with a fix height. In this way, you reserve the space
for the image from the beginning and the content will not try to
push the other content downwards.
You can use also the visibility:hidden property on the image
animated by effect, because this property reserves the necessary
space for the image as it would be in page.

Gallery image not fading out

Hi
I have two galleries. One using spry 1.4 code and one 1.6.1. The 1.4 gallery fades out an image before fading the new one in. This is what I want.
But the 1.6.1 gallery the image does not fade out. It just goes to white (or opacity 0) No fading occurs. The it fades in the nex image.
Can some one explain what is wrong with the code in the 1.6.1 gallery?

After effect cc does not start. Error 5.

wenn ich After Effects CC nach dem Installieren öffnen möchte, bekomme ich folgende Fehlermeldung.
Habe es schon 2 mal deinstalliert, inklusive Preferences, Rechte repariert, neu installiert. Ohne Erfolg.
imac Ende 2009 3,06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo mit os x 10.9.2.
Deinstallieren Sie das Produkt und installieren Sie es erneut.
Wenn das Problem erneut auftritt, wenden Sie sich an den technischen Support von Adobe und geben Sie dabei den Fehlercode an, der im unteren Bereich des Bildschirms aufgeführt ist.

Same here, deinstalled and reinstalled the cloud more than three times, using the cloud cleaner tool, including everything connected with adobe, here is my log, it shows: Installation complete: NO ERROR
And yes i restarted my computer after installation:

After Effects Free Trial Not Starting up, Windows 7

I can't start up the free trial of After Effects 2014.1.1
It keeps giving me a "crash in progress" error with the code <7568> <GPUManager> <2> Sniffer Code Result: 3
I use Windows 7 on a Dell Inspiron Desktop, a Logitech Lazer Mouse, USB Microphone, and and Realtek Harman/Kardon speakers.
If anyone has had this problem, or knows how to fix it, please respond D:

Images not turning out as they look in PS

Lately I have been having some issues with my processed images. They look good in PS, and in Windows Image Viewer as well as on Facebook (which is odd because FB generally compresses them bad), but when loaded into a phone, tablet, or uploaded into Shutterfly, they look horrible. They look muddy, flat, and discolored. This is an issue since I am gstarting on my own in photography and use a share site to pass along updates of our daughter to family for them to make prints. Any ideas why this might be happening? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am running Windows 7 and CS5. This is a recent issue. Thank you in advance.

If things were working well before and then went bad, something within your CS5 has changed. My guess is that somehow you're saving photos in Adobe98 or ProPhoto instead of sRGB (as you should do for anything destined for other screens - i.e., Facebook, etc.) This could have happened if you changed your Color Settings in Edit > Color Settings.
Check this by opening one of the problem files in PSCS5 and look at the profile. Click on the pop-up at the bottom of the file window and choose Document Profile. What's it say?

A couple of days ago after seemingly working fine the day before Firefox suddenly decided to stop working. I seem to recall updating both my Adobe Flash and my Java on that day, and I'm also not 100% sure that I didn't change my Overclock settings too (but I think I did that and Firefox was still working)
Basically if I "start" Firefox from any location be it shortcut, direct executable or otherwise the application does not "run" I get the process but that is all. I have tried renaming to various combinations but still nothing appears to have any effect. Using the -profilemanager suffix in my shortcut / startmenu search and creating and using a new Profile has no effect either as does deletion, and Firefox Safe Mode shows the settings window but after choosing to open in safe mode nothing happens and I am left with the Firefox process hanging there doing nothing. I have tried multiple compatibility and administrator run settings but no effect.
I have uninstalled, reinstalled. Done full cleans deleting everything to do with Firefox and its Profiles. Uninstalled Flash and Java, and then Reinstalling FF. I have scoured the registy deleting anything obviously connected to Firefox, Mozilla and even Java to no effect (I have not cleaned out for Flash due to having multiple Adobe apps which I would prefer not to screw up.) I have downgraded from 3.6.3 to 3.6.2 and as far as 3.5.1 and then doing upgrade to the new 3.6.4. All with the help of my CCleaner to tie off any loose ends, but nothing seems to work. Can't restore pc to earlier date as I only remembered about it after I had already made too many changes.
The only time I can manage to run Firefox properly at all is when I am in Windows Safe Mode, I am sick of Google Chrome as it feels really slow and I also dislike Safari, Opera and Internet Explorer. I really do not know what else to do and would really appreciate some help so that I may use the only good browser that I have found again.

This Event:
1. Firefox will immediately close after opening 2 blank (Untitled) tabs and /or 2 (Untitled) windows.
2. Firefox will not open a 2nd time.
3. Firefox will only open in Safe-mode (.exe))
4. Firefox excruciating slow Start-Up
5. Firefox web –surfing unbearably slow
6. Firefox unpleasant web page hanging behavior
7. Firefox awful flash content behavior / Obnoxious Adobe Flash Player has always been and will always be crap.
The Cause:
Session Manager = Corruption …!!!
o This issue was created by faulty and inconsistent and flawed M$ Win 7 legacy software support for Hardware.
 The Keyboard / Hardware would generate a separate session manager event with the action/Web key.
 Firefox and/or TabMixPlus session manger were corrupted in the event process.
The Source:
A: Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate32-US Version = substandard legacy device handling :
B: Hardware/Keyboard (shortcut) Customization Software Conflicts causing Corruptions of Firefox-Session Manger.
The Fix..!!!
I. Remove from Add and Remove Programs (Win7) Hardware/Keyboard Software “only”. ..Special note: Win 7 Updated- Hardware/Keyboard Device driver does not have to be removed...!!
II. Clean and remove all Instances of Keyboard software.
a. The “Best-est and Safest” Registry Cleaner is jv16 2010 Power Tools.
b. Restart Computer.
III. “If” available install an older version of your “Hardware/keyboard software” compatible with Win 7 that will allow some customization of Hardware/Keyboard-keys.
Confirm fix by:
1. Restart Firefox from Hardware/Keyboard key (shortcut).
2. Clean-up Internet crap and corrupted session managers...
3. Test Launch keyboard shortcut of Firefox.exe [“after” a clean-up of all internet crap]…
4. Test launch keyboard shortcut again / use Firefox extensively or normal use for any recurring bad web behavior.
If Corruption events occur again:
i. Use different and / or Older Keyboard “software” with win 7.
ii. Or you will have to wait for a Win 7 Hardware/Keyboard software update for keyboard installed.
Note:
“Do not use the hardware or keyboard shortcut-key for Web Browsing… Or else: // This Event (See Above): …Will Continue..!!!..”
And it is “not” a Firefox 3.6.8 issue.
So, look elsewhere.
Look @ the main culprits:
a. Substandard legacy device handling: Micro$oft Windows Operating System in combination / with.
b. Customization Software for your keyboard or other hardware that generates web functions and web sessions. / Hardware driver may not be the problem.

Slideshow images not displaying properly

I posted this to the slideshow software company also (Visual Slideshow), but thought I might get an answer or idea here. The slideshow is correct after publishing. An html page open and it displays correctly. However, after uploading the images are slightly larger and consequently the image quality is not as good. The images are 10px smaller than the placeholder. Any ideas?

The images look bad because they are being resized without regard to their proportions. If you take an image that is 100px x 100px, and change it to 50 by 50, it should look fine, however if you take an image 100 x 100 and make it 50 x 90, it will not look good.
Worst yet is if you take a 100 x 100 image and make it 100 x 150, it is really going to look bad.
My guess is that your slideshow widget is resizing them in this fashion. Also my guess that you are not starting out with your images in the same configuration, meaning so are taken in landscape mode vs portrait. So some have a width which is larger than the height, and some the height is larger than the than the width.

Is this SUP configured to run as IOS native or CatOS Hybrid?
While in ROMMON can you do the 'dev' command and see whad drives are recognized. Then 'dir' the drives that the SUP recognizes.
Can you provide the screen captures as it boots?
You would be bette served by hacing a TAC case.

Not able to start out of the box approval workflow programmatically

We have a requirement to start an out of the box workflow from a .NET web service.
We are using the StartWorfklow method:

Then, we tried:

2. The workflow starts with no issues through UI. I tried it using "System Account" and another account.

Image Processor does not start through Bridge CS5, it starts only PS and nothing happen. I do not know, how to repair it.

Most likely you do not have the startup files checked.
In Bridge go to edit/preferences/startup scripts. Make sure you have a check mark for Bridge and Photoshop. Without that they can't talk to each other.

You mean an image such as a scanned document?
If that is the case, the file doesn't contain any text for Reader Out Loud to read. In order to fix that, you would need an application such as Adobe Acrobat that does Optical Character Recognition to convert the images to actual text.
You can also try to export the file as a Word document or something else using ExportPDF which I believe offers OCR and is cheaper than Acrobat.
