Efibootmgr editing or viewing an entry

I've read the man pages for it and googled around, and the most I can come up with is using the -v switch, but then I get weird output such as this

Then I tried the -b switch, which the man pages says that it modifies the entry. But doing efibootmgr -b 0000 just printed out the bootorder like just using efibootmgr. If I can't edit an entry(adding an extra parameter), is there a way that I can get the current entry so I don't have to type so much? I don't remember the exact entry anyways.

I am pretty sure you just have to make a new entry and delete the old. I'm pretty sure you could have been done with this a while ago if you had just went ahead with all that extra typing...
The -b switch is indeed so that you can modify an entry. After you create a new entry, do "efibootmgr -b 0000 -B" and watch that entry be modified out of existence!

I can play songs from my husband's library. I can't drag them into my library.
If deauthorizing/authorizing is the solution, who needs to do what? We've got three computers and two iTunes accounts.

Editing of View - screen is different to Procedures

Hi,
I use SQL devleoper 1.1.3.
When I want to edit a procedure, I press the edit button and the editable code is available in a new tab. But when I want to edit a view, the only option is to right click on the view name and select Edit. The Edit view window is a very unfriendly looking window where one can not see the code like the Procedure edit Tab window.
Is there any setting which will eanble me to edit View similar to the Procedure editing?

No, but it shouldn't be too difficult to write an extension for this.
If you search the source for the procedure and view nodes, you should be able to copy the Edit context menu entry from one to the other. Pack the additions as an extension, and you can even publish you're enhancement on the Extension Exchange.

Allow write to list but restrict viewing the entries

We have a small application that allows people to submit entries to a list using CSOM (sp.js) and we want to allow anybody to submit entries to the list but we also want to ensure they can NOT see the entries in the list that other people have submitted.
We then want an administrator or list owner to be able to view all entries. Can we do this?

Go to your List Settings Page -> Advanced Settings.
For 'Read Access', select the radio button 'Read items that were created by the user'
And for Create and edit access, select 'Create items and edit items that were created by the user'.
Save you changes. Now users will be able to view/edit items created by them. Site Collection Admin will be able to see all items.

I can no longer EDIT nor VIEW events created in iCal...

I have a problem with my iCal in that I can longer edit nor view events.
I can create events, but only the first line of the details for a new event. I am not able to edit or add more info in any way after that (date, time, details, etc.)
I can delete the event though.
When I say I cannot edit nor view events, this problem occurs when double-clicking, when right/CMD-clicking, choosing the relevant command from the menu, or when typing the keyboard shortcut of either CMD-i or CMD-e.
Nothing works. Nothing happens. It's as if I have chosen to do nothing at all.
I have an iPhone which I use to sync events between my Mac and my iPhone, but without being able to properly create an event on my Mac with a chosen time and alarm, etc. iCal on my Mac is almost useless. All my events now have to be created on my iPhone - even when I am sitting right in front of my Mac.
The only use my Mac's iCal is to me now is for pop-up reminders after an event from my iPhone has been synced to my Mac.
The problem I am having with iCal is happening with all the calendars I have set up.
I have no online subscriptions, everything's local.
I have my iPhone set to auto-sync with my Mac for all data.
I am running the latest versions of iCal, the Mac OS (Leopard), the latest iPhone OS, etc.
I tried deleting all my iCal preferences from the ~username/Library/Preferences, but that didn't work.
I tried deleting all my calendars from within iCal in case there was a corrupt calendar, but that didn't work.
I trashed everything I could find that had anything to do with iCal (knowing I could restore from a recent Time-Machine backup), but still nothing worked.
Even when I had an empty iCal to work with, creating a test new-event revealed the same problems of not being able to edit the event after the first line.
I have since restored all my data from the backup I did the other day, so I am back to square one - not that anything I tried before this actually moved me off square one in any way...
Can anyone help me here? It's getting really frustrating having to type all my events out on the iPhone screen, especially when I'm sitting at my computer.

Similar problem here. My Ical refuses to edit or delete events. Viewing is possible, though sometimes the whole screen turns grey. Adding new events from mail is still possible. The task-pane completely disappeared. My local apple technic-centre messed about with disk utility for a bit and than told me to reinstall leopard. I could of course do that, but it seems to me that reinstalling Leopard just to fix iCal events is a bit invasive.
I tried also tried removing everything, installing a new copy of iCal from the leopard-cd, software updates, all to no avail.
At the moment I'm open to all suggestions that do not include a complete leopard reinstall.

In month view, the entries hide each other. They stack up.

I'm running a 2.3 GHz Intel Core i5 with 2GB 1333 MHz DDR3 memory system with iCal version 7.0. In month view, the entries sometimes stack on top of each other garbling the image, rather than listing down the day. I am beginning to miss appointments and this is frustrating. I have quit calendar and restarted several times.

Whenever installing a new version, at least review the information about new features.
Turn off the infernal Align To Pixel Grid feature.

Difference Between G/L View and Entry View in New G/L Accounting

Can anyone tell me the difference between the G/L View and Entry View in New G/L Accounting as we are upgrading from 4.7 to 6.0.

Entry view is the view to show how you have done data entry while posting a transaction and general ledger View is the document splitting view, where system will show you the split posting which system creates on its own.
Example given by Alex above is general ledger View, ie: how system would split the line items based on base item categories.

Can't edit, slideshow, view photos

I have looked through all of these postings, but still can't figure out why I can't use my iPhoto. If I click on a thumbnail to edit or view as a slideshow, all I get is the dotted line with the i in the middle of the screen. I can view only three photos that are a smaller size jpg than everthing else I pulled from my camera. I tried rebuilding my thumbnails and that didn't work. I just don't know what else to do.

Welcome to the Apple Discussions.
The ! or ? turns up when iPhoto loses the connection between the thumbnail in the iPhoto Window and the file it represents.
The most common cause of this is User Activity in the iPhoto Library Folder. Have you altered, moved or renamed anything in the iPhoto Library Folder?
If you haven't, then try rebuilding the database. Hold down the apple and option (or alt) keys and launch iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose the top three options.
If you have made changes in the iPhoto Library Folder - moved or renamed things - then you'll need to put things back the way they were. If you can't do that then you'll need to create and populate a new library:
To create and populate a new library:
Note this will give you a working library with the same film rolls and pictures as before, however, you will lose your albums, keywords, books, calendars etc.
Move the iPhoto Library Folder to the desktop
Launch iPhoto. It will ask if you wish to create a new Library. Say Yes.
Go into the iPhoto Library Folder on your desktop and find the Originals folder. From the Originals folder drag the individual rolls to the iPhoto Window and it will recreate them in the new library.
When you're sure all is well you can delete the iPhoto Library Folder on your desktop.
In the future, in addition to your usual back up routine, you might like to make a copy of the library6.iPhoto file whenever you have made changes to the library as protection against database corruption.

When i try and edit or view my photos on full screen it will not allow me to do so. i just got my mac.

when I try and edit or view my photos the screen goes black but has the options at the bottom and the bar at the top. will someone please help??

As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?

Oh, unless you shot tall.
If you shoot vertical/tall video it cannot be zoomed all the way out in the exit.
Shoot wide, or edit in a different editing app.

General ledger view and entry view

Can any one help me in understanding the difference between GL(general ledger) view and entry view?

While entry view shows the Customer/ Vendor and other revenue/ Expence GLs
General ledger view shows the Reconciallation GL and revenue/ Expence GLs. We cannot find Customer and Vendor details here.

"View Journal Entry" line when "Export"shows 'Account Description' as TEST?

When use "Line Drill Down" of Journal Entry line from GL & click on "View Journal Entry" button. The Journal line that appear when "Export" shows 'Account Description' as TEST in the excel or csv file. This issue is happening in Production. Is there any setup thats bringing this 'Account Description' as TEST or Oracle is defaulting this 'TEST'? What is the reason for this?
It will be of great help if somebody explain this.

How to edit customizing view in production system?

I wonder if it is possible to edit customizing view (ex: tcode OAV8) directly in production system. I need a method that doesn't require repair.

You can copy view V_T087G to ZV_T087G. After you have to create a new table maintenance for this view. The new table mainteance will have a Z function module so you can select in the "Dialog Data Transport Details" the flag "no user recording routine" instead of "Standard, recording routine".
After you have to call this table maintenance from Sm30 or from a transaction.
