How to get the data from a cluster table to BW

Dear All,
I want to extract the data from R/3 to BW by using 2 tables and one Cluster B2.
Actually my report contains some fields from PA2001, PA2002 and one cluster table B2 (Table ZES). Can I create View by using these 3 tables? If it is not possible how can I get the data from the cluster? Can I create generic datasource by using cluster tables directly?
In SE11 Transaction the Cluster (table ZES) is showing invalid table.
I referred some Forums, but no use.
Can any body tell me procedure to get the data from a cluster (table ZES) ?

Error while Activating a process chain

Hi,
I have just modified the existing process chain with the new info package for loading into ODS and then delta update into the Info Cube.
when i am clicking on the option schedule and activate.
Its giving error as :
"InfoPackage ZPAK_49RJW545FSO2MB3NF1MIZ9NJ9 is
generated; NOT able to be used as loading variant"
This is a IP, which is used for delta update from ODS to cube.
I have checked the IP, its fine like i can do the delta through this pacakge manually.
Please help, points will be rewarded....

Go and check whether the Info Package exist ,
You can check in Rsa1 and give IP name and find it.
If your IP is not there please create it,
If tehre please check the all parameter associated with it.

Not getting the data for delta for 0ASSET_ATTR_TEXT in RSA3

Hi All
In RSA3, I am not able to extract the delta for the datasource ASSET_ATTR_TEXT. But when it is on full update then i am gettign the records, when i changed to "D" it is giving me the error 'Errors occurred during the extraction' and the error messege says
"Errors occurred during the extraction
Message no. RJ012
Diagnosis
During the extraction phase an error occurred for the extractor. An exception, 'error_passed_to_mess_handler' was triggered.
System Response
A more precise description of the error can be found in the log.
Procedure
Check the function module or the call from the extractor check program
Kindly provide some inputs on the same

hi Siggi,
I have checked Datasource in the ROOSOURCE Table for this datasource the DELTA IS - AIE. And do did the Init from the BW i got 8210 recods.Then i executed the Delta Pack. there was an error happend.
But When i loaded Delta i got the error as :
Diagnosis
         Not all the initialization requests have been completed yet for this
    DataSource, or there may be an incorrect initialization request.
System response
No delta requests can be processed whilst there is an initialization
    request that has not been completed.
Procedure                                                     Wait until the initialization request has finished, or delete the entry
    for the incorrect initialization request from the corresponding display
    in the Scheduler.

How to find Data in R/3

Hi Friends,
there is a SID Failure in a load so we have to check where that ID exists in BW if NO then we have to see in R/3 so, i want to know how to see that SID in R/3.
i know the table names

correct, Siggi however I always go via SE11 in order to see the table definition, attributes, status, indexes and so on; you can then jump from table to check table go back and forth... it's just more powerfull; SE16 will work perfectly but too light to my eyes

Regarding 0txtmd field mapping in Transfomration level dso to cube

When I was creating transformations from my dso to cube,I faced a problem where I did not get a infoobject field 0TXTMD in the source level(dso).
But when I was checking in my dso transformation level the field 0TXTMD was present and mapped.So what colud be the problem as that field was present in dso level but not visible in cubelevel when I was creating transformations.How to go ahead with this issue.

Where is in bw3.5 i have a object called 0txtmd in infosource is assigned to ZDOCTXT element in cube.
The same as i need to implement in bi 7.0
while creating the trasnformastion from dso to cube..i could not able to find the field 0txtmd to map with the field ZDOCTXT in cube.

Calculations in Update rules/Start routine/End Routine

Hi Friends,
I have loaded data to a DSO and i have three fields in to it. Lets say Filed1, Filed2 and Field3. Field1 and Field2 are being populated through an update rule in transformation. Aggregation type for these two fields are "Summation".
Now, after the transformation executed, the Field1 and Field2 are filled with values. I want to calculate the value of Field3 as follows:
Field3 = Field1 - Field2
Can anyone tell me where can i do this calculation? I know we can do this in End routine and in Query but i want to know if there is any other place i can do this calculation in transformation? In try to do this calculation in the update rule for Field3 in transformation, i dont see Field1 and Field2 as these are not source fields. I can not write formula also because we can write formula only on source fields not the data target fields.
Your help will be appreciated in terms of points.

Hi,
in the start routine in the global section define the two fields:
data: g_amount1 type /bic/oi<your keyfigure name>,
g_amount2 type /bic/oi<your keyfigure name>.
in the routines to your 2 keyfigures store the result in that fields too.
routine for field1.
g_amount1 = result.
routine for field2.
g_amount2 = result.
and in the routine to field3
result = g_amount1 - g_amount2." or whatever calculation/derivation has to be done.

it looks like you have an authority problem with aleremote. But anyway, did you check the syslog (sm21) or the dump overview (st22)? Are there any problems logged for the run time of the job?

Query on Virtual Provider with Services

Hello everyone,
I created a VirtualProvider and used the HowTo "Implement a VirtualProvider with Services" (Scenario 3: Any Table). Everything works fine and I can see some data with listcube. But when I'm executing a query (Bex) on the VirtualProvider I always get "'No Applicable Data Found."
Any hints?

please run your query in rsrt in debug mode, set a break-point in your fm and check the contents of the tables related to the characteristics and keyfigures to be read as well as the selections and check if everything here works as expected.

Urgent: Problems in Generic Extraction by Function Module

Hi BW Gurus,
I am new to SDN and also new to generic extraction using function module. My requirement is to extract long text(142 char) from CRM to BW as the text is not stored in database table I used function module read_text with in another ZXXX function module copy of (RSAX_BIW_GET_DATA_SIMPLE). In my extract structure I used GUID(char,32), Langu, long text(142 char) and 2 placeholders. Text can be extracted by passing STXH table fields(Tdname, Tdid, Tdobject, Tdspars) to read_text as parameters and i also need to use CRMD_ORDERADM_H field GUID(32 char) to compare 1st 32 chars of tdname(70 char) with Guid to select Guids and loop thru this Guids and for each Guid i need to append lines of text to e_t_data but as i donot know ABAP i unable to write the code for this. Through my friends help i wrote code when i check in RSA3 it is displaying the text but when i replicate into BW and load into data target in monitor the status is red with records initially but afterwards it will be red status again with 0 from 0 records for initial load again.when i check on job logs the errors i have are:
The background job has created a job log file of 2Gb size and it is currently on a infinite loop writing entries into the SAP System Log that it cannot write to the Job log file due to Error 22 for write/read access to a file this is because of the datasource i have created. Please find my Function module and if anyone would please correct FM and send me that will be really great.I appreciate it in advance.

The statement <b>RAISE NO_MORE_DATA</b> should be active (uncommented) in your code. Otherwise, the infinte loop occurs.

How to use one query results in another query

hi,
in help.sap I have founded that using variable type replacement path I can use one query results in another query. It is wrote there that I have to choose query name results I want to get in variable definition but I do not know where.
How I can do this?
Result I want to get is:
In one query I have material prices in another material quantities. I want to calculate inventory value (price * quantity). Moreover prices are on plant level, quantities on storage type level. Plant is atribute of storage type.
Can I do this?

I had a discussion about query results as input for another query in there.
For creating a workbook, just click on the save button after you ran your query in the bex.

I have an xml as follows.

I worte an xsd as follows for the above xml

I am getting the below exception for that
line numbner ---|13|---Column---|41|-----
org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: src-resolve.4.2: Error resolving component 'ymaps:Address'. It was detected that 'ymaps:Address' is in namespace 'http://api.maps.yahoo.com/Maps/V1/AnnotatedMaps.xsd', but components from this namespace are not referenceable from schema document 'file:///E:/test/samples/newtest.xsd'. If this is the incorrect namespace, perhaps the prefix of 'ymaps:Address' needs to be changed. If this is the correct namespace, then an appropriate 'import' tag should be added to 'file:///E:/test/samples/newtest.xsd'.
