EJB Service and Eclipse Link marshalling error.
Hi all. I have a problem with using EJB Service in BPEL.
I have two JPA entities linked with @OneToMany association
// RegistryItemBuffer
@Entity
@NamedQueries( { @NamedQuery(name =
"RegistryItemBuffer.findRegItemsBufByRegId",
query =
"select o from RegistryItemBuffer o where o.registry.registryId = :registryId") })
@Table(name = "PP_PERSON_ST_RG_ITEM_B")
public class RegistryItemBuffer implements Serializable {
private Long registryItemId;
private Registry registry;
private static final long serialVersionUID = 7526471155622776147L;
public RegistryItemBuffer() {
*@ManyToOne*
*@JoinColumn(name = "PP_PERSON_ST_RG_ID")*
*public Registry getRegistry() {*
return registry;
*public void setRegistry(Registry registry) {*
this.registry = registry;
//Registry
@Entity
@Table(name = "PP_PERSON_ST_RG")
public class Registry implements Serializable {
private Long registryId;
private Set<RegistryItemBuffer> registryItemBufferSet;
private static final long serialVersionUID = 7526471155622776100L;
public Registry() {
*@OneToMany(mappedBy = "registry", fetch = FetchType.EAGER)*
*public Set<RegistryItemBuffer> getRegistryItemBufferSet() {*
return registryItemBufferSet;
*public void setRegistryItemBufferSet(Set<RegistryItemBuffer> registryItemBufferSet) {*
this.registryItemBufferSet = registryItemBufferSet;
In my stateless session bean I have a method which fetches registry items by registry id using named query:
@SuppressWarnings("unchecked")
public List<RegistryItemBuffer> getRegistryItems(Long registryId) {
Query query =
em.createNamedQuery("RegistryItemBuffer.findRegItemsBufByRegId");
query.setParameter("registryId", registryId);
List<RegistryItemBuffer> items = query.getResultList();
return items;
If I call this method from EJB Client it works fine.
In my composite application I've add EJB Service. I have add a jar with EJB Remote Interface to SCA-INF/lib and specified JNDI path and remote interface in EJB Service Reference.
When I invoking getRegistryItems method from BPEL it fetches all items by the EclipseLink Exception throws at the end:
javax.xml.bind.MarshalException
- with linked exception:

at org.eclipse.persistence.jaxb.JAXBMarshaller.marshal(JAXBMarshaller.java:401)
Why EclipseLink cannot serialize fetched registry items ?
I would be grateful to any advice.
P.S. Sorry, If there is more appropriate forum.
Any clues to this one?

Hi skydivingsnowman,
I'm sorry you're having such trouble using the ExportPDF service. What browser are you using?
Please try clearing your browser cache, or using a different browser (here's a list of supported browsers: http://www.adobe.com/acom/systemreqs/.

DAC Services and Informatica PowerCenter installation error
Hello!
I'm trying to install subj from files
V30860-01_1of2.zip
V30860-01_2of2.zip
which contains archive
dac_win_101341_infa_aix_64bit_910.zip
It is an Oracle Business Intelligence Data Warehouse Administration Console 10.1.3.4.1 for Microsoft Windows and Informatica PowerCenter and PowerConnect Adapters 9.1 for AIX Based Systems (64-bit)
on IBM AIX 6.1 64 bit.
And I have an error after running OUI:
pts/2 biappl@biappl:>./runInstaller
Platform is AIX
Starting Oracle Universal Installer...
Checking Temp space: must be greater than 80 MB. Actual 3490 MB Passed
Checking swap space: must be greater than 150 MB. Actual 2560 MB Passed

Please visit http://www.javasoft.com and install JRE version 1.3.1 or higher and try again.
I wonder, why OUI try to use it's own JRE from
/tmp/OraInstall2012-11-20_02-51-17PM/jdk/jre/bin/
directory?
There are only Windows binaries (including java.exe and there is no ./java file)!
Is anyone can say me what exactly am I doing wrong?
I have and env variable
pts/2 biappl@biappl:>echo $JAVA_HOME
/usr/java6_64/
I also tried to run runInstaller with ./runInstaller -jreLoc=/usr/java6_64/jre options, but this workaround does not have any effect.
p.s. Maybe this DAC install source is for windows only, so where I can get this one for AIX 6.1 64 bit?
Thanks a lot for any help!

JDeveloper ADF and eclipse link
All,
I have created employee hierarchy and executed the application with the integrated weblogic with jDeveloper. It's works fine.
After creating the deployent profile, I have deployed to a standalone weblogic server. i keep getting the below error
<java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: org.eclipse.persistence.queries.ReadAllQuery.setHierarchicalQueryClause(Lorg/eclipse/persistence/expressions/Expression;Lorg/eclipse/persistence/expressions/Expression;Ljava/util/Vector;)V>
The error was due to the line "*databaseQuery.setHierarchicalQueryClause(connectBy,startExpr,order)*" from the below code. I have copied the eclipselink.jar explictly to the weblogic/domain/lib directory and weblogic module directory. Still i am getting java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: org.eclipse.persistence.queries.ReadAllQuery.setHierarchicalQueryClause
Could you anyone Please help me to resolve the error.
ReadAllQuery databaseQuery = new ReadAllQuery(Employee.class);
ExpressionBuilder builder = new ExpressionBuilder();
Expression startExpr =
builder.get("emplyeNbr").equal(new Integer(employeeId));
Expression connectBy = builder.get("employees");
Vector order = new Vector();
order.addElement(builder.get("firstName"));
databaseQuery.setHierarchicalQueryClause(connectBy,startExpr,order);
Query query =
((JpaEntityManager)em.getDelegate()).createQuery(databaseQuery);
List<DEmplye> employees = query.getResultList();Paulo,
of course you can do using the Java APIs of XML Publisher. Furthermore there are plans to make XML Publisher the reporting framework for ADF.

Behaviour of updateObject and writeObject in toplink and eclipse link
Hi all ,
Please let us know if there is any difference between updateobject and writeobject being used in toplink and eclipselink.jar ?
It would be greatly helpful if someone can say the scenarios to use both the objects in eclipselink.jar .
Thanks in advance.
Regards
MythiliIn general you should not use either of these, but either use JPA, or use the UnitOfWork.
updateObject and writeObject are only defined in a single user DatabaseSession.
updateObject will just update the object, it assumes the object exists
writeObject can either insert or update an object, it first performs a doesExist check to see if an insert or an update should be done.

Using BAPI_PO_CREATE1 : Linking service, and account assignment
Hello,
I have trouble when using BAPI_PO_CREATE1. When creating PO using BAPI_PO_CREATE1, I need to input service for each po item and the service itself need to have account assignment. I simplify the code below.
**PO item
t_poitem-po_item = '10'. "for item 10
t_poitem-PCKG_NO = '20'. "link with service
t_poitemx-po_item = 'X'.
t_poitemx-PCKG_NO = 'X'.
**Account Assignment
t_poaccount-po_item = '10'. "link with PO Item
t_poaccount-SERIAL_NO = '01'.
t_poaccount-DISTR_PERC = 1.
t_poaccountx-po_item = '10'.
t_poaccountx-SERIAL_NO = '01'.
t_poaccountx-po_itemx = 'X'.
t_poaccountx-SERIAL_NOx = 'X'.
t_poaccountx-DISTR_PERC = 'X'.
**PO Services
**1st row
t_poservices-PCKG_NO = '20'.
t_poservices-LINE_NO = '0000000001'.
t_poservices-SUBPCKG_NO = '21'.
APPEND t_poservices.
clear t_poservices.
**2nd row
t_poservices-PCKG_NO = '21'.
t_poservices-LINE_NO = '0000000002'.
t_poservices-EXT_LINE = '0000000010'.
**fill account assignment for services
t_POSRVACCESSVALUES-pckg_no = '21'.
t_POSRVACCESSVALUES-LINE_NO = '0000000002'.
T_POSRVACCESSVALUES-SERNO_LINE = '01'.
t_POSRVACCESSVALUES-SERIAL_NO = '01'. "acct. assign. link
t_POSRVACCESSVALUES-PERCENTAGE = '100'.
Every time i execute BAPI_PO_CREATE1 using entry similar like above, i always found error message in t_return like this:
No account assignment exists for service line 0000000010
I feel sure that i have fill every field needed to link services and account assignment which is using serial_no, but somehow it does not link correctly. Can anyone advise me if there is some thing missing or incorrect with my ABAP code above? Thank you in advance for your help. For sure, first helpful answer will receive my rewards point.
Regards,
AbrahamThank you for the code. Actually i have fill the required field as you told but i did not put it in my code here to focus the problem on service and account assignment. After checking out your code, i found that the different between your code and mine is in services table.

The other difference are in account assignment table, you didn't fill SERIAL_NO field.
my code will be like below:
<b>POACCOUNT: structure name</b>
PO_ITEM :10
SERIAL_NO : 0000000001
If using your version, the error message will be:
<i>In case of account assignment, please enter acc. assignment data for item</i>
If using my version, the error message will be:
<i>No account assignment exists for service line 0000000010</i>
Please advise what was wrong with my code. Thank you.

Error trying to deserialize EJB HomeHandle and EJB Handle classes
I get the following exception when I try to deserialize both a javax.ejb.HomeHandle and a javax.ejb.Handle. I serialize and immediately deserialize within the same application using the same classloader so there are not alot of external variables that may cause the problem. Any ideas on why I can't deserialize an ejb handle?
The reason I am doing this is to try and get around the need to reference another application just to call a remote method in that application. I want to serialize the remote home interface handle or the remote component interface handle and deserialize it using my local application classloader. Does anybody know if this would work?

As a simpler test, I modified the UserManagementBean of the Car Rental example application. I added some code in the register method that serializes and deserializes the Handle object obtained from the SessionContext.getEJBObject().getHandle() method. The serialization completes without issue. However, I get the same error when trying to deserialize the Handle object:

here is code of my win apps from where i am calling web service
string strXml = "";
strXml = "<s:Envelope xmlns:s='http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/'><s:Body><StartIndex xmlns='http://tempuri.org/' xmlns:i='http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance'><auth><Username>joy</Username><Password>joy</Password></auth></StartIndex></s:Body></s:Envelope>";

StreamReader streamIn = new StreamReader(req.GetResponse().GetResponseStream());
then getting the error The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error
not being able to understand where i made the mistake. mistake is in the code of web service end or in calling code?
help me to fix this issue. thanksHi Mou,
I just tried your win app code about calling web service, but failed. I got the 500 error after I called your service:
The error message I quoted from Fiddler:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?><soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"><soap:Body><soap:Fault><faultcode>soap:Client</faultcode><faultstring>System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: Failed : Invalid credentials ---> System.Exception: Invalid credentials
--- End of inner exception stack trace ---
at BBAReman.WebSearchIndex.SearchDataIndex.StartIndex(AuthHeader auth)</faultstring><faultactor>http://www.bba-reman.com/Search/SearchDataIndex.asmx</faultactor><detail /></soap:Fault></soap:Body></soap:Envelope>
I am not totally sure that error occurred by the authentication. But I suggest you can try to add this service into your project using this method below:
1.right click the Reference and select Add Service Reference
2.input your service link and click "Go"
And you can use this service as the following:
private async void callService()
ServiceReference1.SearchDataIndexSoapClient client =new ServiceReference1.SearchDataIndexSoapClient();
var Str= await client.StartIndexAsync(new ServiceReference1.AuthHeader { Username = "Admin", Password = "Admin" });
Please try it.

Will

Updated Web Services and Pageflow design view available via eclipse update
All,
An eclipse update to Workshop for WebLogic Platform 9.2 is now available.
The new features available in this update are listed below
<b>Web Service Design View:</b> The web service Design View lets you design all of the major features of a web service using a graphical development environment. The following features are included:
* Creation of web methods, callbacks, and event handlers
* Direct configuration of conversational and buffering properties
* Inline method signature editing, with syntax highlighting and code completion
* Simultaneous editing of separate interface and implementation files
* Improved error detection and messaging
<b>Page Flow Overview. </b>The Page Flow Overview gives a graphical overview of an entire page flow, including its JSP pages, actions, and navigational relationships. This high-level view of a page flow gives the developer a total picture of how a page flow is structured. The following features are included:
* Continuous automatic graph layout
* Improved layout algorithm
* Selection is synchronized with the Page Flow Editor
* Graph Tracing mode makes reading complex graphs easier
* Print graphs or export them as images
<b>
Improved Test Client functionality. </b>The Test Client now supports directly testing services that have callbacks as well as services that have only JMS as a transport. The Test Client is downloaded along with the Workshop for WebLogic 9.2.1 update, but it must be installed manually. For details on installing and using the Test Client to test web services, see Testing Web Services with the Test Client.

Web-services.xml for EJB component and SOAP Message Handler Chain
I have used the following example for my own web service with EJB component and SOAP
Message Handler Chain:
http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs70/webServices/dd.html#1058208
I have a deployment error:
javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: Unable to resolve 'app/ejb/DocumentService.j
ar#DocumentService/home' Resolved: 'app/ejb' Unresolved:'DocumentService.jar#Doc
umentService' ; remaining name 'DocumentService.jar#DocumentService/home'
In attachement is the ear file.
Is there a problem in web-services.xml?
Thanks
[ws_dox_sdi.ear]It works. Thanks,

The error means your EJB is not deployed.
Adding a EJB module to your application.xml file of the ear should fixe
it.

Excel service and OWA - getting ERROR while trying to open/edit Excel documents
Hi All,
We have configured SharePoint 2013 with Excel Service and OWA (Office Web Apps).
After configuring, we are able to view/edit Word or PowerPoint documents from the browser (as OWA is configured). But we are getting errors while trying to open/edit Excel documents.
We are not able to view/edit the excel workbook from the browser (through OWA).
To open the excel in the browser, decision has to be taken at the farm level on what to be used – Excel Service or OWA Server? Is it possible to do setting at site collection level?
