EJBQL joining entity problem

Dear all,
I have written the following EJBQL:
select o from Commitment o join o.invoiceStat i where o.companyCode = 'HKC' and o.item = 'ABCD01' and i.year = 2008
The entity class is as follows:
public class Commitment implements Serializable {
@Column(name="commitment_amt",nullable = false)
private Double commitmentAmt;
@Id
@Column(name="item_code",nullable = false)
private String item;
@Id
@Column(name="institution_code",nullable = false)
private String companyCode;
@OneToMany(mappedBy = "commitment")
private List<InvoiceStatistic> invoiceStat;
I join the invoiceStat in the EJBQL and also I need to filter, ie. i.year = 2008,
but maybe because of invoiceStat is a OneToMany List Object, the EJBQL didn't filter using i.year=2008.
How could I filter the OneToMany ? Please help
Thanks.

from Commitment c
left join fetch c.invoiceStat s
where s.year = 2008
something like that?

    Running on Lion, never had a problem before until the old airport died and I replaced it.

    try connecting the device in _*recovery mode*_, then restore from your backup.

  • EJBQL join syntax example

    Some sample EJBQL:
    select distinct t1 from Table1 t1 join Table2 t2 where t1.col1 = t2.col2
    Is there any syntactic reason why this should not work? I'm struggling to get a join working and I can't find any good examples of the correct syntax.
    many thanks
    R

    To perform a join, the collection has to exist in the entity? So, a collection of Table2's would need to be in Table1?

  • Joining/Selection problem...

    I have created this view:
    - First it selects the Lowest and Highest date which should be taken in DATES
    - Then it selects every first of the month between the Lowest and Highest date and stores that in MONTHS
    - Then it selects the ID, FirstOfTheMonth, (intakes UP TO FirstOfTheMonth), (Outgoing UP TO FirstOfTheMonth) from TWO tables without matching any id field...
    Now If I run the view in SQL Developer, it works nicely. If I use the view in Crystal Reports i get an error message saying a subquery returns more than 1 row...
    I have a feeling that my CALCULATIONS table is wrongly setup. The problem is that I need to select the PNM_AUTO_KEY from Parts_master and use this Key in the two subqueries... The way i did that is probably wrong.... My guessing is I should use a OUTER JOIN in stead of the way I did it now...?_

    Sorry, I don't know anything about Crystal Reports. I would expect the view to be handled entirely by the database. What is the query that you're running when you get the error?
    Will Crystal Reports run a very simple query on this view?
    I have a feeling that my CALCULATIONS table is wrongly setup. The problem is that I need to select the PNM_AUTO_KEY from Parts_master and use this Key in the two subqueries... The way i did that is probably wrong.... My guessing is I should use a OUTER JOIN in stead of the way I did it now...?_That's easy to test. Replace the scalar sub-queries with literals, and see if Crystal Reports will run it.
    If not, that's not the problem.
    If you do decide to re-write the calculations sub-query, and you need help, post some sample data and what calculations should contain given that data.
    Could the WITH-clause be causing the problem? (Again, it's hard to see why the front-end tool would care how the view was defined.)
    It looks like you could use in-line views instead of WITH, if necessary.

  • Joining/hosting problems with two particular people

    I have a skype issue with just this one particular person, where if I or the particular person try to host a group call, the other person can't join and experience no sound, then get kicked out of the call. Rejoining didn't work, uninstalling didn't work, and different computers didn't solve the issue. Group calls work fine when other people host.

    I am also having this problem. I would host and my friend would not be able to connect, same goes vis-versa. We both have stable internet and it gets annoying when we are the only two in call and have to resort to team speak as our calling programm and its not enjoyable. I hope the admins respond to this to clarify what is going on.

  • User variables on Entity problem

    Hi,
    I need to set up 2 user variables for entity dimension. When i used to have one a user could simply choose his value for the variable.
    When i added another variable for entity and user want to open a form which uses this variable he must first choose the value from preferences.
    This is where the problem comes in. He selects the values for both of them and when click on save then an error: 'Error on the page' (in the explorer) appears and it does not save the values.
    I thought it is because of IE. I tried it in IE7, IE8 and IE6 as well as with Mozilla. The same over and over again. But when trying this as admin I get not problem and setting the values is without any problem.
    Please help
    thank you very much

    Hi John,
    Thank you very much for your advice. The log does not say anything special. Just that user logs in but no other action (my changing values for user variables) because i suppose the save button is not working.
    But yes, if i go through workspace everything is working fine. But when going directly to planning (issue above always appears). Can you tell me why?
    thanks again

  • Join query problem

    Hi all,
    I'm new to Berkeley DB and apologise if the answer to my question has been covered elsewhere.
    I've been using the 'Getting Started Guide' (BerkeleyDB-Core-Cxx-GSG.pdf) to familiarise myself with the C++ API. The document has been vastly useful, but it has left me stranded on the subject of join queries. I have used the example in the guide (p 57) carefully to construct my join query between two secondary databases, but I get a segmentation fault that doesn't seem to originate from within my code. The GDB backtrace shows:
    (gdb) backtrace
    #0 0x007fbffb in __db_c_count () from /nfs/acari/dta/bdb/lib/libdb_cxx-4.4.so

    The seg fault occurs at the line in the final try/catch block where the Db.join() call is made.
    It seems highly likely that I am making a simple mistake due to inexperience (both with Berkeley DB and C++) and am hoping that the problem glares out at someone with deeper knowledge.
    I'm running this under linux if this makes any difference.
    Many thanks for reading this far,
    Dan

    Hi Keith,
    The following test program isn't pretty, but should produce the seg fault that I'm seeing. Much of the code is copy-and-pasted from the C++ API guide. It will need some input data to run - and presumably create the correct error. Save the following as ./small_inventory.txt (this is also just hacked from the guide):
    Oranges#OranfruiRu6Ghr#0.71#451#fruits#TriCounty Produce
    Spinach#SpinvegeVcqXL6#0.11#708#vegetables#TriCounty Produce
    Banana Split#Banadessfif758#11.07#14#desserts#The Baking Pan
    Thanks for your help,
    Dan

  • EJB 3.0 InheritanceType JOINED stategy problem

    hi all,
    i have 3 table into database
    Root Table : PAYMENT_METHOD_DATA
    Child Table : BANK_TRNSF_METHOD_INFO
    Child Table : SCRATCH_METHOD_INFO
    in java i have inheritance joined strategy, then root class loojks like this :
    @Entity()
    @Table(name = "PAYMENT_METHOD_DATA", schema = "CCARE")
    @Inheritance(strategy = InheritanceType.JOINED)
    @DiscriminatorColumn(name = "METHOD_DATA_TYPE", discriminatorType = DiscriminatorType.STRING)
    @DiscriminatorValue("Base_MethodData")
    public abstract class PaymentMethodData implements Serializable {
    }then fiers child looks like :
    @Entity()
    @Table(name = "BANK_TRNSF_METHOD_INFO", schema = "CCARE")
    @DiscriminatorValue("BankTransfer_MethodData")
    public class BankTrnsfMethodInfo extends PaymentMethodData implements
              Serializable {
    }     second child :
    @Entity()
    @Table(name = "SCRATCH_METHOD_INFO", schema = "CCARE")
    @DiscriminatorValue("Scratch_methodData")
    public class ScratchMethodInfo extends PaymentMethodData implements
              Serializable {
    }when i persist BankTrnsfMethodInfo entity object,
    automatically persisted also PaymentMethodData, but into PAYMENT_METHOD_DATA column METHOD_DATA_TYPE value is NULL. i don't understand what heppened
    can anybody help me ?
    Regards,
    Paata.

    I have a similar issue. I have a parent table with several child tables. Subcomponent is the parent. Term is one of the children. The parent and the children all have a CREATED_DATE column.
    Two tables:
    SUBCOMPONENT
    SUBCOMPONENT_ID (PK)
    SUBCOMPONENT_TYPE
    CREATE_DATE
    --- more columns
    TERM
    SUBCOMPONENT_ID (PK) (FK)
    CREATE_DATE
    --- more columns
    @Entity
    @Table(name = "PRM_SUBCOMPONENT")
    @Inheritance(strategy = InheritanceType.JOINED)
    public class Subcomponent implements Serializable  {
    Date createdDate
    @Entity
    @Table(name = "PRM_TERM")
    @PrimaryKeyJoinColumn(name = "SUBCOMPONENT_ID")
    @DiscriminatorColumn(name = "SUBCOMPONENT_TYPE", discriminatorType = DiscriminatorType.STRING)
    @DiscriminatorValue("TERM")
    public class Term extends Subcomponent implements Serializable {
    }Now if I do the following:
    Subcomponent subcomponent = new Subcomponent();
    subcomponent .setCreatedDate(new Date);
    subcomponent Dao.save(subcomponent );
    Term term = new Term();
    term.setCreatedDate(new Date);
    termDao.update(term);the subcomponent persists fine, but and the term starts saving correctly (I see that Hibernate first INSERTS a subcomponent and then a term but I get a SQL exception: cannot insert NULL into ("PRM"."PRM_TERM"."CREATED_DATE")
    The only way I can think of to work around this is to define a new field in the Term class called termCreatedDate and map that to the CREATED_DATE column on the PRM_TERM table. This seems to defeat the purpose of using inheritance. I'm using Hibernate 3.2.2 (latest version) as the JPA provider. Any ideas anyone?

    I'm also trying to get a grip on the best way to handle some static application properties in a clustered environment. My need mostly relates to

    Now.. here's the strange part of the message.
    Back in 1999 I traveled over to our west coast office in San Francisco. I was meeting and greeting the staff there and along the way I had a short
    meeting with someone named Bisera Ferrero. I mention this event because I
    was really impressed with the beauty and charm of Bisera. Therefore, I guess
    I'm a fan. I rememered the name.. a little. Really, I had sort of forgotten
    about it until reading this forum this morning. So.. who knows. I guess
    there could be a lot of Bisera Ferrero names on our planet.
    Good luck in your quests..

  • Custom report outer-join display problem

    I have written a custom report for Grid that produces info on database options, combined with info on the hardware of the servers where the databases reside. It is a customer requirement that all output be displayed as one huge table, with duplicate cells where logic dictates... so I've used a couple of nested queries + outer joins.
    My SQL query provides the correct data, however Grid appears to be acting clever, and instead of displaying one big table with duplicate values where required, it is splitting the output into a series of tables.
    It might look neater, but it's not what I've been asked to provide.
    Is there anything I can do to prevent this, and force Grid to display the info as one table?
    Thanks,
    Chris

    Hello Chris,
    did you already try to create a View based on your query and use this view in a Report Element?
