Element adfc-controller-config not expected

hi
The blog post "How to configure an ADF Phase Listener and where to put the file " by Frank Nimphius ...
at http://blogs.oracle.com/jdevotnharvest/2010/11/how_to_configure_an_adf_phase_listener_and_where_to_put_the_file.html
... suggests contents for the adf-settings.xml file,
But JDeveloper 11.1.1.4.0 shows the message "Element adfc-controller-config not expected ",
see also the screenshot at http://www.consideringred.com/files/oracle/img/2011/adfc-controller-config-not-expected.png
- (q1) Is there a problem in the adf-settings.xml file or is JDeveloper wrong about the "Element adfc-controller-config not expected " message?
many thanks
Jan Vervecken

Thanks for your reply Frank.

- adf_111210_6081_source.zip/oracle/adf/share/config/schema/settings.xsd
In these XML schema files, a combination of (imported) namespaces, abstract elements and substitutionGroup elements, seem to allow for the following XML configuration (where also JDeveloper does not complain about):
<adf-settings xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/adf/settings">
    <adf-controller-config xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/adf/controller/config">

            </phase-listener>
        </lifecycle>
    </adf-controller-config>
</adf-settings>... and it works at run-time for me, see also the modified example application
at http://www.consideringred.com/files/oracle/2012/Thread2186793ElementNotExpectedApp-v0.02.zip
(I also wonder where the relevant XML schema files would be available in a JDeveloper installation, for JDeveloper itself.)

    Hi,
    Regarding to the query which I have posted may have following possibility.
    This error may be due to the arguments which it gives as the output, as some of those arguments are the object of some other class.
    As the web service which I am trying to access is developed in .Net and requires three parameters, out of which one parameter named as "name" is input parameter while the other two are the output parameters, which web service provide as output. And may be the output which it provides may also be developed in .Net only and thats why while passing the input variable, it is not able to convert its output variable into the String.
    Please provide your valuable comments and solution to that.
    Thanks

  • Element 'append' not expected – BPEL 2.0

    Hi,
    I have a BPEL 2.0 process and I am trying to use the append activity as follows:
    <assign name="AssignResponseData">
    <copy>
    <from>$OnMessage_Ebiz.part1/ns2:DataArea</from>
    <to>$outputVariable.part1/ns2:DataArea</to>
    </copy>
    <bpelx:append>
    <bpelx:from>$OnMessage_EbizOSS.part1/ns2:DataArea</bpelx:from>
    <bpelx:to>$outputVariable.part1/ns2:DataArea</bpelx:to>
    </bpelx:append>
    </assign>
    This matches the documentation:
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E21764_01/integration.1111/e10224/bp_manipdoc.htm#autoId34 – section 6.14.1.2 bpelx:append in BPEL 2.0
    but I am getting the error Element append not expected. Also bpelx:append is underlined in Jdeveloper and I get an error message saying No Grammer.
    Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?
    Thanks
    Robert

    Hi,
    Thanks for the responses. I am afraid they have not solved the problem.
    I have the bpelx namespace defined in the process tag and it is as Vvaladodias suggests.
    also the default namespace is as follows:
    xmlns="http://docs.oasis-open.org/wsbpel/2.0/process/executable"
    Also based on Naresh's comments I changed the From Element. (The Dataaarea element contains mutiple system elements. I want to come out with 1 dataarea and mutiple system elements)
    I have changed the assign to two separate assigns look like:
    <assign name="AssignResponseData1">
    <copy>
    <from>$OnMessage_Ebiz.part1/ns2:DataArea</from>
    <to>$outputVariable.part1/ns2:DataArea</to>
    </copy>
    </assign>
    <assign name="AssignResponseData2">
    <bpelx:append>
    <bpelx:from>$OnMessage_EbizOSS.part1/ns2:DataArea/ns2:system</bpelx:from>
    <bpelx:to>$outputVariable.part1/ns2:DataArea</bpelx:to>
    </bpelx:append>
    </assign>
    Now the second <assign> start tag is highlighted with the message 'Required child missing from element assign'

  • ADFC-00025: The ADF controller has not been successfully initialized.

    I am using JDeveloper 11.1.2.0.0, create a simple ADF face page, which is running fine in Inetgrated Weblogic server, and package it as a War file by using Jdeveloper, I chose Weblogic 10.3 as the target server. I deployed the War file to Weblogic managed server on the Unix box by using its console. The deployment is fine and the web application is active. I get ControllerException when I run the page. Please see the exception log. I don't know what goes wrong. Thank you very much for your help.

    You asked this question in a wrong forum. You should have asked it in {forum:id=83} because the question is related to ADF Faces but not to WebLogic.
    ADF Faces application cannot be deployed as a WAR. You should deploy the application as EAR because ADF Faces applications need some resources which are deployed as part of EAR (e.g. some OPSS configuration filles, some ADF configuration files, JDBC DataSources, etc.).

  • Can i Bind more than one Model object to the Custom controller or not

    Hi All, I trying to bind more than one model object to the custom controller, Both the model objects contains same attribute name called ( output). Both model objects created on to top of the BAPI. So when i bind first model object to the custom controller will work fine. When i am trying to bind the second model object to the same controller. This second model object also having the same attribute name called "output" . So it is giving an error of "Duplicate context element "Detail". Rename or uncheck duplicate elements.
    can i assign more than one model object to the single controller or not?
    But in the reference document, it has given that , we can create model object with more than one bapi.So in this case if both the bapis contains any element with the same name will also be problem. Any body give me the solution.
    Initially we have created one custom controller for each model object. But later i realized that, why con't we use same controller for all the model object. Because, the custom controller context is the public context. this context shared across all the view controllers.
    The concept which I am trying to do is right or wrong?

    Hi Vishal,
    of course, you can bind one controler to many models. When the same name occours you can simply RENAME binded node in controler.

  • Why is About:config not saving user changes?

    Ok heres the problem.
    In about:config
    searched for keword.url
    had - chrome://browser-region/locale/region.properties
    as the setting
    tried to change to - http://www.google.com/search?hl=&q=
    works with the changed link, until you restart firefox. then it reverts back to - chrome://browser-region/locale/region.properties
    any ideas why it wont save my change?

    ''preference for keyword.URL works when set, but reverts at start of new session''
    I would expect that you are overriding it in with a user.js file in your profile.
    It that is the case simply remove the override from user.js modify through about:config (not by editing prefs.js) and restart Firefox. user.js is optional, if you don't have the file, its mention does not apply.
    Another possibility is that the about:config file is write protected from copying from a CD-ROM which is read only. If that is the case you will see several numbered version of prefs.js in your profile.

  • Train-stop not Expected

    Hi All
    I am developing a bounded task flow, following the JDeveloper 12c tutorials. After finishing I got two errors:
    Element 'train-stop' not expected and
    Element not completed 'view'
    I am newbie to this, any help please?? I searched about this problem but I didn't find any solution.
    Thank you in advance

    Not sure where you did wrong.  You may want to look into a sample http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/issue-archive/2011/11-sep/o51adf-452576.html which does how to use trains.  It's for an older version of jdev, but should work on 12c too.

  • Premiere Elements 8: Scene Markers Not Frame Accurate on Burned DVDs

    I have Premiere Elements 8, and I have just begun to burn DVDs of projects. I have discovered that the Scene Markers I have carefully placed at precise points in my footage (such as the very first frame of a scene) are not placed at those specific points in a burned DVD of the footage. They are out by several frames either early or late, the deviation being fairly inconsistent.
    I placed 8 Scene Markers in the timeline of the project I have just completed, and were transferred to DVD with these Scene Markers at the following points on the resulting disc:
    Scene Marker 1 was 7 frames early
    Scene Marker 2 was 3 frames late
    Scene Marker 3 was 2 frames late
    Scene Marker 4 was 5 frames late
    Scene Marker 5 was 5 frames late
    Scene Marker 6 was 5 frames late
    Scene Marker 7 was 7 frames late
    Scene Marker 8 was 2 frames early
    I was not expecting any deviation at all. There is no frame deviation when editing footage and transferring to DVD, it is absolutley frame-accurate, so why is there any deviation on the resulting DVD when it comes to the placement of Scene Markers?

    If I am using GOP material, knowing that that material's I-Frames might not be 100% accurate with my desires, is to always have a Dip-to-Black Transition to about 02 sec. of Black Video, between all of my Clips. Then, I can locate my Chapter Markers on that Black Video. This also gets me that Dip-to-Black (and back from black), between Chapters. I like the aesthetics of those, and the solve any GOP issue.
    Those Dip-to-Black also cover any "black flashes," that one often sees, when the DVD player's head seeks the next Chapter. The black flash will come when the screen is already black, so no one will ever see them.
    I use a Dip-to-Black in editing, to show the passage of time, and perhaps the change in location (or both), and as Chapters usually feature one of those, the Dip-to-Black is ideal. Within a Chapter, if I use a Dip-to-Black (passage of time, or change in location), and the passage of time is quite long, then I will increase the Duration of the Black Video between the Clips even more. Just one way that I employ Transitions, and especially Dip-to-Black.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • How do i ensure the new access point is joined the controller or not

    How do i ensure the new access point is joined the controller or not

    To Verifying that Access Points Join the Controller or not there are two ways as below.
    Please go through the step by step to find the APs joined state
    When replacing a controller, you need to make sure that access points join the new controller.
    Using the GUI to Verify that Access Points Join the Controller
    Follow these steps to ensure that access points join the new controller.
    Step 1 Follow these steps to configure the new controller as a master controller.
    a. Click Controller > Advanced > Master Controller Mode to open the Master Controller Configuration page.
    b. Check the Master Controller Mode check box.
    c. Click Apply to commit your changes.
    d. Click Save Configuration to save your changes.
    Step 2 (Optional) Flush the ARP and MAC address tables within the network infrastructure. Ask your network administrator for more information about this step.
    Step 3 Restart the access points.
    Step 4 Once all the access points have joined the new controller, configure the controller not to be a master controller by unchecking the Master Controller Mode check box on the Master Controller Configuration page.
    Using the CLI to Verify that Access Points Join the Controller
    Follow these steps to ensure that access points join the new controller.
    Step 1 To configure the new controller as a master controller, enter this command:
    config network master-base enable
    Step 2 (Optional) Flush the ARP and MAC address tables within the network infrastructure. Ask your network administrator for more information about this step.
    Step 3 Restart the access points.

  • Severe Error: Assertion Failed: config element named "default-config"

    I ran the command:

    This returned the message:

    I return a SEVERE and a Warning message, I googled the severe message without any luck and I was wondering if this has been troubleshooted before.
    I'd appreciate any insight or instructions to correct this.

  • There are values for cost element 80000 that are not assigned to any line I

    Hi,
    While calulating WIP I am getting below error:
    There are values for cost element 80000 that are not assigned to any line ID
    Message no. KJ161
    Diagnosis
    Not all values for the cost element are assigned to a line ID.
    Procedure
    Assign the cost element to a line ID. If you don't want to include the cost element in results analysis, assign it to a line ID of category N.
    You can access a detailed list of unassigned cost elements as follows: Start results analysis in the individual processing mode (transaction KKA1, KKA2, or KKA3). Select the field Full log. Execute the function. On the next screen, choose Logs -> Parameter List in the menu. A list is generated. The unassigned values are shown at the end of the list.
    If cost element "+++++++++" was shown in the message, this is because in the assignment of costs and revenues to line IDs, you have not used a cost element other than the full masking "+++++++++". In this case a presummarization eliminates the information on the cost element.
    Cost Element 80000 is of type 43 Internal activity allocation, I have Masked this in OKGB as below:
    Controlling Area = FLGP
    RA Version = 0
    Masked Cost Element = 000008++++
    Masked Cost Center = ++++++++++
    Masked Activity Type = +++++
    ReqToCap= COS (Secondary Cost)
    I have Configure OKGA also but still system is giving error.
    Please help me to understand.
    Regards,
    Vivek

    I was wondering if you could help me I am trying to configure the RA key for Refurb orders and when I go into txn OKGB for the Assignment of C/E for WIP there is sample config already there which I copied.  But I am having difficulty getting the KK1A to work I am getting the message as outlined above.  Could you explain how this OKGB works and how to configure it a bit more fully.  In my sample config there is a ReqTOCap section and in it there are letters like ABR, EK, FK, EL what do they mean.  This is a screen shot of it.  I am not sure how to go about this entirely so any light you could shed would be greatly appreciated.  Can you suggest a good resource or documentation you may have, would be greatly appreciated.

  • Element Entry Screen does not show value

    I have created an element xxtest123, created a fast formula, and the formula result contain the direct result to this element.
    But before creating fast formula I did following steps.
    Created Input Values
    The input values this element has are
    Pay Value, Hire Date and Date Of Birth all are non enterable by user, and Database Items boxes corresponding to these values are checked.
    Created Element Link
    I, later linked it to a payroll and checked box Standard on the element link screen.
    Now issue is after running Payroll I can see the SOE report and Run Result Screen shows the expected result
    But the element entry screen does not show the values. Rather the fields are simply blank.
    Can anyone please help me why it is behaving such a way?

    Thanx Sharath for your quick response.
    But I have run QuickPay for that employee.
    After running QuickPay the input values names are coming into element entry value screen.
    But it is not showing the value corresponding to the element input value names.
    Thanks,
    Pankaj Kedia
