Element has secret/hidden sizes only apparent when testing or copy-pasting element.

Essentially, for some elements, the values listed for size are not seem accurate. However, once the timeline that the element is on plays, the values snap to what was listed. The behavior is the same in Chrome.
I have not found a way to work around this problem.
After some talk with support, it's more specifically a problem with autoplay being turned off. If you turn it on and use a trigger to stop the timeline, you can avoid this issue (at the cost of having your buttons play on the main timeline in the authoring environment.)
So I downloaded the unminified Edge runtime and did some digging. On line 2364 there's this:
sym.stop(-1, false); //Make sure that base state is applied
Assuming the base state is that recorded in the default document structure, applying that is exactly what we don't want. Changed the first argument to 0 and things look perfect for the moment. Unfortunately Edge doesn't use the version of the runtime in the project folder when "testing", but if you launch the html manually, it looks swell.

Linked picture gets smaller than its original size when it's copy-pasted.
This confuses me because some does and some doesn't. A picture always gets smaller when I copy-paste from Mspaint. And some pictures does this too when I just copy-paste itself. So, I need to adjust size manually and it really bothers me, is there any solution for this?
Some application disply images pixel by pixel, that is: one pixel in the image is one pixel on the monitor. Illustrator uses the image's resolution to display it.

Satellite U305 shuts down and reboots when trying to copy/paste
This is the oddest thing and hopefully someone here can help....
When I try to copy and paste, either through the use of the touchpad (right click, copy = right click, paste) or by using ctrlC/ctrlP, the laptop screen goes white, then shuts down and restarts. This only happens when I am using copy and paste.

Left button works fineSame deal with me except the right button has failed twice. You may find that if you push on it past the click with a bit more force it will respond. They swapped the hardware and same thing occurred.
HP should be ashamed that they would put such awful mouse hardware on its flagship product. Whoever designed it should be fired.
If HP had any customer loyalty they would offer a hardware update and offer it to those who are still under warranty.
Suffice to say I will never, ever purchase an HP workstation again.

Mountain lion has small text size in iWork when opening a file
when opening a new file in iwork using mountain lion, the text size is very very small. how do you change this?

My Macbook 3.1 freezes eveytime I open the finder and scroll down to the downloads folder. I was attempting to clean out my mail downloads and all the stuff that seems to accumulate there so the folder is open. As soon as I go near it the whole things freezes up! The funny thing is that when I open the finder its fine so long as I stay clear of that folder or any of the items in it. Any advice? Am running 10.5.8 and would like to upgrade, that is why I was clearing files!
Office 2008 isn't exactly "clean". Office loves to install all sorts of fonts, and always because it is such a big application, it needs patches to work properly. Get the latest patches from http://www.microsoft.com/mac/

Is it possible to only select visible layers to copy/paste in place.

I must be missing something. In Adobe Illustrator, when you select a layer (or sub-layer) to copy, is it possible to only copy the visible layers and not the hidden ones?
When I supply my clients with their final illustrator files, I only want to include the approved art work. Currently I make a copy of the file and go through and delete the hidden files, it would be much easier to just copy and paste in place the visible layers into a new Adobe illustrator file .

Multisim 10 and 11 freeze when try to copy-paste components

I recently install the Multisim 11 on a win vista 64 bits computer, until now, everything works well for except for the "copy-paste" function for any component or group of components. I reinstalled the program several times but the problem still persist. Also, I installed multisim 10, and the problem is the same. I wonder if you have hearded about a similar problem and if there is a solution.Don't know if this can help: I had the same problem and installing the updates didn't kill the pain. BUT
I found there are several editor/CAD programs that tries to connect to your default printer as soon as you perform certain operations
(open a project, a file, a cut/paste). If you have a network printer as your default, and it is unreachable from your position/you are not connected to any network, it takes ages to time-out the connection trials and the program gets stuck till it's done.
As soon as I changed my default printer to my local pdfCreator virtual printer the problem was solved.
It's not the first application that gives me this same identical problem (ultraedit is just another one).

i was asking because FAT3 has a limitation in that it will not allow you to copy files larger than 4 GB.

Stage has wrong fullScreen sizes when launched in adl
Actually this problem only occurs when these two properties are set in the descriptor file:
<aspectRatio>landscape</aspectRatio>
<autoOrients>false</autoOrients>
As aspected the stage has the following correct properties:
stage.autoOrients –> false
stage.deviceOrientation –> rotatedLeft
But the values for the fullScreen size values are (iPad screen size):
stage.fullScreenHeight –> 1024
stage.fullScreenWidth –> 768
So although the deviceOrientation is set to a landscape aspect ratio, the values for fullScreenWidth and fullScreenHeight do not reflect this. The odd thing is that this does not apply when the same application is launched on the device – in this case iPad3 (normal resolution). Then the values are correct:
stage.fullScreenHeight –> 768
stage.fullScreenWidth –> 1024
When I launch adl I set the following two properties:
-profile extendedMobileDevice -screensize iPad
It seems that although the descriptor file sets the aspect ratio to landscape adl sets the stage values initially to the default/normal aspect ratio in portrait orientation. It gets really weird when I set the screen sizes explicitly like this:
-profile extendedMobileDevice -screensize 1024x768:1024x768
Then window adl launches is in portrait orientation but the fullScreen sizes are correct! I did a very quick search online but could find anything regarding this issue. Is it known? Does a bug report already exist?
I should add that I'm running on OS X 10.7.4 with the latest Air SDK added to the latest Flex SDK (Flex 4.6.0.23201B, Air 3.3). I haven't tested other Air versions and neither did I run any tests on a PC.Hi Chris,

There is a lot of potential for creating dynamic forms with LC. The help file in LC and the guides on the Adobe web site give a lot of direction.
In your first field you can write javascript against an event, in this case the exit event is probably best:
if (this.rawValue == "" || this.rawValue == null) // this is a test if the first field is empty
textField2.presence = "invisible";
else
textField2.presence = "visible";
When testing you use double "=="; when assigning values you use a single "=". TextField2 is there, just hidden from the user.

How can Apple claim the iPhone has a Super-High res screen when its not even HD? From what I understand, 1280x720 is basic high definiton, and the retina screen only goes up to 1136x640.
There's more to resolution than pixel count. Consider the pixel size on the iPhone screen in comparison to the pixel size on your forty inch HD TV.

My iMac suddenly no longer connects to wifi network when in KIOSK (username) mode, and only connects when as ADMINISTRATOR mode. Its strange because the iMac has been working fine in KIOSK mode for over a year until 2 days ago.

Although there is one little thing that I've noticed. The iMac works properly, but I tried to software update to see if that may help my Minecraft sound issue (as I still don't think only having 2GB instead of 4GB would cause such a problem) but the software update application won't work. Running the "Software Update" from the apple menu on the toolbar gains no response, nothing happens. If I run the software update from system preferences, the application icon appears for a second, then disappears (as in the blank app. icon, the blank canvas with the pencil, pen and ruler in the bottom right corner). It does this every time I try to run it. It did work when the computer was crashing, but this started when on one of the occasions I ran the app. while it was crashing. Since this occured during the crashes, and still occurs now, I'm wondering did something simlar happen minecraft, as it's sound disappeared during the crashes and is still gone now.
However, the computer is now working again without crashes, which is the main thing, thanks for helping me fix the issue

E4200 reset to factory default problem
due to password loss, I get to reset the E4200 to factory default in order for router re-config. Aftr pressing the reset buttom for 10sec, the router reset. After then, I could not access the router via browser with 192.168.1.1 at URL entry. My PC
