EM Alert: Critical

Dear Legends,
In our RAC we are facing this error from yesterday, as we verified that it is due to the trace files are generated for every 10seconds.
Symptom: EM Alert: Critical: Filesystem /u02 has 4.99% available space, fallen below warning (20) or critical (5) threshold.
We do not generate any trace manually.
Q: Is there a way to find how the traces are generated?
Q: If not how to proceed with this error? Can we check for TKPROF/EXPLAIN PLAN?
Any kind of help would be appreciated much.
Thanks,
Karthik

Hi,
You can run the below command if any trace/event parameter set
Events:
    SELECT (translate(value,chr(13)||chr(10),' ')) FROM sys.gv$parameter2  WHERE  UPPER(name) ='EVENT' AND  isdefault='FALSE';
Trace Events:
    SELECT (translate(value,chr(13)||chr(10),' ')) from sys.gv$parameter2 WHERE UPPER(name) = '_TRACE_EVENTS' AND isdefault='FALSE';

    It would appear that your archive location is full. If it is full, then try to get some more free space there by either deleting the old archives or specifying a different location.
    I don't see any mention of a flash recovery area in the log message, but you may also want to confirm that you have reached your space allocated to the FRA.

  • "JavaScript Alert, Critical Errors found in set up.."

    Hello,
    I'm having problems installing PSE 6 on my Mac (running 10.5.7) from the installation disk.  Each time I try to install I get the message....
    Critical errors were found in setup
    - Incompatible payloads already installed
    Please see the Setup log file for details.
    I had downloaded a trial verison which expired last month and I deleted it.  Unfortantely I can't seem to find the Setup log to find the details, and am not sure what to do.
    Please help.
    Thanks in advance.

    Having exactly the same problem and hope there is someone out there who can work me through this.
    I recently purchased a 13" MacBook Pro and PSE 6 software. I have encountered a common problem of loading the software and can not get passed the "JavaScript Alert" message upon installation. Having tried many methods of clearing the HD of all CS programs that might have been present following my transfer of data from the home computer, I then attempted to do a full MacClean of all CS software.  Two problems have arisen from this.  One, the MacClean wouldn't even open when attempting to run the app. file.  Two, any other attempts to load the PSE6 Setup and following suggestions from the AdobeForum have proved futile.  Even the people in the Apple shop were unable to suggest anything beyond - "get in touch with Adobe."  And the software was purchased through that shop.
    Frankly I am at my wits end with this software.  One thing of note however, I did use their trial period and was impressed with it, that is why I purchased it. I fear that the laptop has been corrupted as a result of this trial period and I am unable to cleanse my HD of them.  Even the recent upgrade of the operating system to Snow Leopard has had no effect.
    Any suggestions? (before I bin the disc)
    Cheers,
    Landaucanuck

  • EM Alert: Critical: Metrics "Global Cache Average Current Get Time" is at X

    I frequently get this notification email alert from the enterprise manager. What does this mean and should I ignore it or work on it?
    Name=<sid>_<instancename>
    Type=Database Instance
    Host=<servername>.<domainname>
    Metric=Global Cache Average Current Block Request Time (centi-seconds)

    those metrics shows the effect of accessing blocks in the global cache and maintaining cache coherency.
    basically, the response time for Cache Fusion transfers is determined by the messaging time and
    processing time imposed by the physical interconnect components, the IPC protocol, and the
    GCS protocol.
    therefore, Inter-Instance performance issues can be caused by:
    1) Under configured network settings at the OS
    2) dropped packets,retransmits, or cyclic redundancy check errors (CRC)
    3) large number of processes in the run queue waiting for CPU
    4) high value for the DB_FILE_MULTIBLOCK_READ_COUNT
    Note also that poor SQL or bad optimization paths can cause additional block gets via the interconnect, just as not using ASSM for Locally Managed Tablespaces, or not using CACHE NOORDER for sequence, ...

  • Javascript Alert on download setup

    I just purchased Adobe Elements 6.0 for my IMac and have previously used a trial version. I have successfully downloaded the program, but when I run the setup file I get this error  "Javascript Alert: Critical errors were found in setup. Incompatible payloads already installed. See setup log file for details." I am assuming this error is because I have had a previous trial version on my computer.... I have tried deleting/uninstalling the older programs, but I don't know if I have found all of the old files, or if this is even the problem...also, my serial number is not working...I think this is also related to the old trial version... can anyone help with this???

    Hi,
    There is a known issue with installing retail version of PSE 6 on trial version. Removing files manually doesnt actually remove all the files, there are still some files which we do not directly relate but still need to be removed.
    You can follow the below link to get rid of the issue:
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/403/kb403796.html
    Let me know if this helps.

  • Alert messages from EM10G

    Hi,
    I get several messages in my email daily from Enterprise Manager that Services from Application server control are down when all ther services are up and running. Messages like
    EM Alert: Critical: testdev - The OC4J instance is down.
    Any idea why this is happening.
    Thank You

    Just a thought...which doesn't solve the issue of the alerts.
    OC4J instances/processes can "die" and be re-spawned automatically when their death is detected by OPMN.
    OC4J's have default memory configurations which if insufficient memory available means they might not start
    - also makes sense that they might also die...
    If you opmnctl status you might be able to determine whether the instance is "truly" down or was down and is now "alive".
    Might be a problem with enough memory

  • Java Script Alert When Loading PSE6

    Please Please could someone help me with this one, i'm trying to load photoshop elements 6 on to my Mac, but all i get is the following message:
    JavaScript Alert
    Critical errors were found in setup
    incompatible payloads already installed
    Please see the setup log file for details
    I'd be glad of any advice to sort this problem.

    It usually means you had a trial of some adobe product that wasn't properly removed. Did you have the PSE trial? If so there's an uninstaller in the install part of the download or in your applications>utilities folder. Otherwise, manually remove what you can and then run this:
    http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cs3clean.html
    (It says CS3 but it's for PSE, too) before trying the install again.

  • [SOLVED] Mail content for Direct Alert Notifications

    Hi,
    I asked this question during a 10g New Features course once but didn't get an answer... maybe somebody here can help?
    The format (long) of an email notification from EM (10.2.0.3) is:
    E-mail Subject (Long Format):
    EM Alert: <severity> <target name> <message>
    E-mail Body (Long Format):
    Subject: EM Alert: Critical: prod1.us.oracle.com - CPU Utilization is 90%
    Date: Mon, 14 Oct 2004 12:56:46 +0000 (GMT)
    From: "EMD Notifications" <[email protected]>
    To: [email protected]
    Name=prod1.us.oracle.com
    Type=Host
    Host=prod1.us.oracle.com
    Metric=CPU Utilization (%)
    Timestamp=14-OCT-2003 12:57:04 (GMT 0:00)
    Severity=Critical
    Message=CPU Utilization is 90%
    Rule Name=ALL_HOST_METRICS
    Rule Owner=MGMT_REPI would like to (drastically) change that format. The emails will be going to a central helpdesk where they will be picked up by people with absolutely no Oracle knowledge, logged as faults and passed to the DBA team. As such I need to present them with a no-fuss, easily understood email - something like:
    Subject: EM Alert: <severity> <target name> <message>
    E-mail Body (Long Format):
    Helpdesk,
    The following event has been detected on <name> for <host>:
    <message>
    <timestamp>
    Please raise a <severity> fault and pass to the DBA team for investigation.
    If necessary please contact the on-call DBA.Has anybody ever achieved (or know how to achieve) something similar?
    Cheers,
    Joseph

    Just a further note - this has already been raised as an enhancement request. The following update is from Oracle Support:
    The enhancement bug 6155970 was opened in 2007 .
    Feedback from DEV is that ER 6155970 is not planned for implementation in 11G.
    Bug description.
    Abstract: SUPPORT CUSTOMIZATION OF EMAIL FORMATS FOR ALERTS
    Many enterprises rely on email/pages as a primary way of getting
    notifications for alerts. Many of them rely on the subject line of the email as way
    to determine the type of alert.
    Thus, it is important for them to be able to:
    a) specify the pieces of information about the alert that they would like to
    see in the subject as well as the body of the notification
    b) specify length to be shown for some of these (e.g. the message of the
    alert). This customer in particular would like to have EM show more of the
    alert message in the subject line, beyond what it is currently showing.
    Solution:
    You can use an OS command notification rule and use a Shell script to send customized mail.
    The OS notification rules set the following variables to unix schell.
    "target name " $TARGET_NAME
    "target type " $TARGET_TYPE
    "target host " $HOST
    "metric in alert " $METRIC
    "metric value " $METRIC_VALUE
    "policy rule " $POLICY_RULE
    "key value " $KEY_VALUE
    "key value name " $KEY_VALUE_NAME
    "violation context " $VIOLATION_CONTEXT
    "timestamp " $TIMESTAMP
    "severity " $SEVERITY
    "message " $MESSAGE
    "rule_name " $RULE_NAME
    "rule owner " $RULE_OWNER

  • Change subject on RTMT email alerts

    Hello Folks,
    I have around 4 CUCM clusters namely APA, EUA, EUB and USC and i have configured the required RTMT email alerts for these cluster.
    The issue is when i get an alerts from any of the above cluster the email subject just states 'RTMT Alert - Critical service Down", in the email content i have all the details.
    Is there a way i can include my cluster name with in the email subject. Is that customization possible ?
    Thanks, Raja.

    No; however, you could change the email From address and build rules in your mailbox (e.g. different folders, different colors or categories, etc) based on that. Another option would be to use a Syslog server instead of emails (System > Enterprise Parameters) and rely on it to do the grouping/categorization for you.

  • How to change default thresholds for some metrics of all targets.

    Hi!
    We have a lot of servers which have to work hard.
    So, our OEM very often generates messages like these:
    "EM Alert: Critical:dbsora90.tsb.kz - CPU Utilization is 99.95%, crossed warning (80) or critical (95) threshold."
    "EM Alert: Critical:dbsora94.tsb.kz - Disk Device c8t60A9800043346C384C344A4A63516D6Ad0(ssd4) is 99.7% busy."
    "EM Alert: Critical:dbsora94.tsb.kz - CPU Load (Run Queue Length averaged over 5 minutes) is 20.78, crossed warning (10) or critical (20) threshold."
    I need to change default tresholds for mentioned metrics but I can't their defenition in SYSMAN.MGMT_*-tables or suitable settings in OEM GUI.
    And I have no time to edit treshholds manually for each target. )

    Modification of Metric Thresholds (as this is what you are referring to), should be done using the Metrics and Policy Settings link (to be found in the Target Home page).
    Don't mess around with the SYSMAN tables!
    Best thing to do here is to start using Monitoring Templates for this.

  • Need help with Photoshop and "Licensing for this product has stopped working" message. Adobe fix isn't working.

    I am still using CS3. A while back I received an error: "Licensing for this product has stopped working" for my CS3 programs. I used the recovery program suggested by Adobe and was able to get Illustrator, Flash and Dreamweaver to work, but I still can't open Photoshop or In Design. I went back to the Adobe site and did every other trick they suggested to fix the error, but nothing has worked.
    I then tried to uninstall photoshop from my CS3 suite (so I could reinstall) but got a JavaScript Alert: "Critical errors were found in set up. Please see set up log for file details." Seeing as I am not the best with the behind the scenes technical stuff, I have no idea what this means or where the set up log even is. Any help anyone can provide?
    I have had CS3 installed on my computer for over a year. I started having problems about 4 months ago.

    I am having similar problem.  Can't open any of CS3 programs after trying to download Dreamweaver Trial, which wouldn't work because "couldn't remove DLM extention" error message.  So now I can not run Illustrator, Photoshop, or even Adobe Reader.  These are properly licensed for about a year. I get "License for product has stopped working".  Have 2 pending cases open with Adobe support (one for Dreamweaver trial, one for license problem) since 8/3 with NO ANSWERS - It says answers within 1-3 business days.  Was on phone support hold today for over 3 hours before line went dead with no help.  What is up with adobe support?  Can anyone help?

  • INSTALLING Adobe creative suite 3 Design Premium JAVA ERROR

    Hi people, I'am having a problem installing Adobe creative suite cs3 on my iMac, when the dmg is loaded as the first sys check , installer give an error saying : "Java Script Alert - Critical errors were found in the setup - Imcompatible payloads already installed. Please see the Setup log file for details."
    I've recently installed Processing, and needed to install Java too. I think I've installed Java sun SE. (actually I'm a Mac noob lol)
    So , I think that I've just to clean all the old java sys that I installed and reinstall a compatible version of Java, right??? But I don't know How to do that actually!
    Can any one help me please
    Thnks a lot
    Bella

    Hello Bellawood,
    This Java script Error problem, if you installed CS3, AI, PS or ID or any application already have in system or you uninstalled it, and installing again... this Java Script Error message will come.
    This guide line is for Mac OS X only not for tested on Window system.
    There are 2 ways to install again CS3.
    1: format your system and install CS3 or remove all adobe folder your your system and install.
    2: If you already installed any CS3 application and installing any other and you are getting Java Script Error message... do this, in hard disk/library/application support/adobe/... remove caps and backup folders from there and keep in safe place and install your application... hope it will install. after installing run that application... and it will run, and if you will try to run already installed application.... it will not... because you removed that application backup and caps file from adobe folder. Keep backup and caps folder in safe place and replace backup and caps folders with earlier folder which you saved in safe place. and repeat this process.
    I know this is little tricky... and complicated. Better is remove all adobe files and folders from your system and install CS3 again.
    regards.
