Email attachment download limits

Hi,
Is there a restriction on Email attachments that stops you from downloading them if they are too large? I can download most attachments but I just received a 10MB file and it doesn't download any of the file, appears that it is trying but I have waited hours and still nothing.
Thanks,
mstoten

Hi,
According to your description, your customer want to recover all emails blocked by the message attachment size limit. If I misunderstand your meaning, please feel free to let me know.
If yes, the recovery depends on the emails type. If the emails are sent from Exchange server, we can check the queue to get them: http://blogs.technet.com/b/exchange/archive/2007/01/09/3397689.aspx
If the emails are from other email services, I recommend you contact with its support. In this case, the emails are always block by Exchange server and have no chance to enter the Exchange server.
If you have any question, please feel free to let me know.
Thanks,
Angela Shi

  • Email attachment download shows "invalid menu handle"

I click on an email attachment, the download box appears in top left corner and starts downloading then a rectangular box appears in middle of screen saying "invalid menu handle" and download won't open.

Not the same thing. Google "Microsoft Installer Cleanup Utility". The first hit will be what you need (on the Microsoft site).

  • Email Attachment Download

Whenever I try to download an attachment to an email the download process freezes up.  This has also happened when I tried to download a video from a respected site.  It ran for 30 minutes and froze at time remaining 1 sec.  Any help in understanding this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Are you certain your PC is not infected with a virus or some malaware?  Have you run these programs to clean your system?  You may also want to clean out your temp files, cookies, history, etc.  See if that helps.  Also which browser are you using when these issues occur?

  • Yahoo email attachment downloads not showing anywhere

When I open a yahoo email attachment, asks to download, checked by norton, downloads, but is not showing up anywhere

    Hi Lisa
Strange this would occur on both browsers. This may be another Yahoo problem. Last night, images did not appear in my Yahoo Mail. This morning they are back. Do you still see the problem? If you do...
Are you seeing the image problem on other web site pages, or is this specific to Yahoo? If occurring on various web sites in Safari usually indicates the "display images when page opens" box is not checked in the Safari Preferences>Appearance panel. The counterpart setting in Firefox would be Content>Load Images Automatically.
If not, are you using any 3rd party Internet blocking software?

  • Email attachment size limitation

My boss has an I-Phone 4.  What is the size limitation of email attachments he can send or receive? Spoke to AT&T who said it is an Apple issue.

    Hi Shaju,
I would suggest the following solution path:
Execute the report (or whatever) and catch the output in an internal table. When using abap list output with the SUBMIT statement there's also an option to EXPORT LIST TO MEMORY and such. (I never used it but I've seen it working).
Then send this output as an attachment (and not as mail text). Attachment are passed "as-is", as long there's not format conversion active for this output. If you name the attachment list.ALF and in SAPConnect you have ALF-->TXT then your attachment's going to be converted. But this should still keep your line-size of > 255.

  • E63 EMAIL ATTACHMENT DOWNLOAD

    Hi,
How can I download the email attachments(nokia messaging mail) in my device directly to memory card?
    Nokia E63-1, RM-437, 510.21.010
    Nokia C5-00.2,RM-745,091.002
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

When you open the email, you see the attachment listed with the other headers, right?
    1) Highlight and select the attachment.  The screen should clear and list only the attachment(s).
    2) Select the attachment again, and it should download to the phone (or Options -> Download).
    3) Select Options -> Save, and choose the memory card.
I used to carry an E71 (very similar phone), but had to do a few web searches to jog my memory.  Does that help, or where does your experience differ?  Weird attachment formats might still give you trouble...

  • Email attachment download query

My apologies if this question has been answered before.
I've been running a few tests on my iPhone 3GS. I have 5 email accounts set up on it. 3 of those accounts are pop, 1 is an imap account (gmail) and 1 an exchange account.
The pop accounts will completely download attachments (even if MBs in size) where as the Exchange Server and Gmail accounts will only download the email text and allow me to choose whether I download the attachment or not if the attachment is too large (usually > 100kb).
My question is, how can I get the Exchange Server/Gmail behaviour to occur on the pop accounts? I do not want attachments of over a few hundred KB downloading automatically on the pop accounts!

  • Email attachment auto download

    Hi,
i have recently connected my phone with my company email so that i can read it when im on the go. I realised after i open up the email the attachment download automatically which i do not want to download. I have ever downloaded attachment which is more than 50mb when im using my local cellular data without any of my permission to download it. It will cost a bomb to my month end bill which im only entitled for 3gb of data usage per month.
Is there any solutions to disable the auto email attachment download?
    Appreciate your input.
    Thanks and best regards,
    Daren

If Excel works as do other apps, you should be able to tap and hold on the attachment and then select "Open in Excel" in the window that will open. Note that you need to be subscribed to and signed into Office 365 to be able to edit documents in Microsoft's apps.
    Regards.

  • Disabling attachment downloads OR limiting email download size

I have set up many email accounts but I cannot disable downloads of attachment. It shoots up my phone bill as unwanted emails with attachments are also downloaded. Is there a way of disabling attachment downloading OR downloading ONLY HEADERS OR limiting the size of each email to be downloaded (like the option available in Windows mobile phones).

The only settings that I am aware of for the mail that would limit anything are the "load remote images" and the preview. You could use the preview to decide if you wanted to open a particular email, and there is a paperclip icon for emails that contain attachments. Wait to open them. Generally, they only download a portion of the email if it is a large one, but I don't know if this is a guarantee. If you are having issues with the amount of data you are using because of the restrictions of your account, you might want to set the email accounts to only check manually, so you can check them when you are in a wifi area, or turn off the accounts that are not really necessary.

I have files that have been on my computer for over a year and I have used them several times and all of a sudden they wont open.  I received an error message saying they are improperly downloaded or came as an email attachement which is not the case.  Please advise

They seem to be word files - they will open if I choose "open with" microsoft word, but if I double click they don't open they are appearing as PDF on my screen.  I even opened one and then tried to "save as" making sure I chose .doc and they still appear as PDF
I just created a new document response.doc in word and when I saved to my desktop it appears as a PDF file and I absolutely did not create a PDF or save as PDF it was a simple word
    doc.
The message says "Adobe reader could not open response.doc because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example attached in an email and not properly decoded)
The reader version is I believe the most current, I always update when prompted.  OS is Windows 8

only Open,Add in reading list & Copy options showing
Do you have some solution for this

Hello jlremington and welcome to the forums
Depending on the email integration type and software running on the device
will determine if you are able to use this feature.  Can I get the version
of software that is on the device? This can be found under Options -
About.  Also what type of email account are the messages coming
from?  Are you using a BES account or BIS account?  If your are using a BIS account what type of
integrations are you using? POP, IMAP, OWA, Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail etc…

  • No progress to download email attachment - iOS 4.2/4.3, EAS

    Dear,
I use iPhone / iPad 4.2 & 4.3 and I couldn't download email attachment. It shows me the graphic which indicates the start of download but it's still 0 byte. It works sometimes when I tried to kill email client and restart it but it can't guarantee the download. use Exchange Active Sync to access corporate email exchange server.

    No worries.
Now, it's the app developer (in this case it's Skype) who decide what iPhone models he wants to support, it has nothing to do with iTunes or Apple.
