Email directly through XI - Not through Alerts

Question

Hello All,
   I have come across a requirement which I'm not sure if this can be done in XI. The following is the scenario.
1) We receive 855 X12 messages from the suppliers and the Conversion Agent translates this X12 message to an XML IDoc and sends it to XI.
2) Depending on the Accept / Reject codes on the 855 (Which is converted XML IDoc in XI),we need to send an email directly to the Buyer. We get the buyer email address in the PER segment of X12 which is mapped to some IDoc segment in the IDoc XML.
3) We cannot use Alerts through BPM because we want to send messages only to the buyer email address and not to a Group email address.
Can this functionality be achieved with in XI Configuration without using the Alerts??

hey Balu
its a simple IDOC to mail scenario,u can use conditional receiver determination too and that will make ur scenario easy i guess.
do  design and configuration steps as usual for a IDOC to Mail scenario,then in receiver determination u can give condition which says that if Return code = Accept then the send mail,in the bottom under action to be performed if no receiver determined u can check the radio button which says dont do anything.(i m assuming that in case of rejection u dont have to send any mail,is this correct)
Use R/3 as a sender and Mail as the receiver.
also to send mail to an external mail address like gmail or something,create a dummy mail id within ur company and set its mail forwarding to the gmail address,in that way ur mails generated in XI can reach external mail address indirectly.
