Email Marketing - Once you have your EMOD agreement signed with oracle, your sys admin will be able to set up individual Email marketing admins and from there you will be able to design your email campaigns
Mail Merge and Segmentation Wizard - this is a word/Excel document with Web services built in that will perform the functions. You can get it from the Metalink - you click on Knowledge and search for them.

        This is not possible using OOTB CRM Marketing mail merge features for CRM 2013. However you can use 3rd party tools like Click Dimension for this Alternatively with MDM you are now able to use more advanced design features including what

  • Mail Merge for Word - Limitations?

    I have been searching for information on the Mail Merge for Word in the help files and tutorials. I am trying to verify the limitations, such as
    Can Lotus Notes be used to send the email? (I am 90% sure we have to use Outlook, however I would like to clarify)
    How many emails can you send?
    Are there any other limitations I should be aware of?

    I have confirmed on the Lotus Notes question.
    I installed the Mail Merge for Word Template on a machine that only had Lotus Notes as an email client. When I choose to send an email, it gave only the option to "Merge to Document".
    So The answer would be that Outlook is required to send emails with Mail Merge for Word.

  • Address book list used many times with mail merge, now all come back undeliverable - why?

    I have about 140 email addresses in an address book, and I have sent emails using mail merge many times. Suddenly, this week, when I send out an email, I get all of them back marked undeliverable. Don't know why it suddenly won't send them. the only thing that looks odd is that in the "undeliverable" message, each email is given twice - example: [email protected]@gmail.com.

    the mail merge add-on probably needs to be updated for the new version of Thunderbird as there have been behind the scenes changes in mail composition. I would suggest following the mail merge support process and emailing the author.

  • Mail merge asking permission to "allow" word to access outlook

    While sending emails using mail merge feature, word file asking permission "allow" to access outlook. I understand it is related to virus protection setting. Where would those permissions be set?
    Secondly how many emails can be sent using mail merge feature?

    These warnings started popping up on my system after installing a utility which synchronizes my Outlook Contacts with Google Contacts.
    Fortunately, I found a safe way to
    eliminate the warnings from Outlook, while keeping it protected from malware. It turned out the warnings were not caused by that utility itself. They occurred because
    Outlook, for some reason, was not (yet) recognizing my anti-virus program as valid.
    Here's how I solved it.
    1) Open Outlook 2010, go to "File/Options/Trust Center" menu item, and then click on the "Trust Center Settings" button at the right side of the dialog box.
    2) From there, select the "Programmatic Access" menu item. At the bottom of this dialog, note what your "Antivirus status" is. If it is "Invalid" then close Outlook, navigate to where its "OUTLOOK" program
    icon is on your disk (typically it sits in the "Program Files (x86)/Microsoft Office" folder), and then right-click this icon and select "Run as administrator" from the pop-up-menu. If you get a warning, then select "allow" or "yes" to continue.
    3) Then in Outlook, go back to Programmatic Access as described above, and you should see your antivirus status updated to "Valid" (assuming you have an up-to-date antivirus program on your computer).
    4) Exit Outlook. Then open it the way you usually do. The warnings should now be gone.
    This way, your Outlook application will be protected from malware, and you should no longer see warnings when other applications try to access Outlook.

  • Email Mail Merge using mail

    I run a small business and have 3,000 clients on my email database and i am having issues in sending large mail shots using mail. Before i changed to a mac i used to be able to use an excel database with outlook which i could send a mass email mail shot with a few clicks and it send each client an individual email.
    I can't seem to get this to work using mail so i have to send 1 email with 20 or so applicants per email(as my broadband supplier limits me to 25 applicants per email) which is very time consuming and also not as profesional.
    Is there a way round this at all or a program which i can run with mail?

    I've been wrestling with the same problem. I googled a number of related keywords, and found several programs that will handle "mail-merge" tasks. I downloaded two demos. The first is SerialMailer, and it can be found at http://www.falkon-ware.com/SerialMailer/ I gave it one trial and it appears easy to use and adequate to the limited tasks for which I need it. You can import e-mail addresses from Apple's Address Book, or a number of other formatted files. It costs $29.95. The other one I have only take a glance at. It is Max Bulk Mailer, and can be found at http://www.maxprog.com/site/software/internet-marketing/mass-bulk-emailersheetus.php
    It looks to be more flexible and powerful and a bit more polished that SearialMailer, but it costs $49.90 for the standard version and $59.90 for the Pro version. The cheaper program looked like all I needed so I didn't test the more expensive one any further. My guess is that one of these (or another you might find with a google search) will take care of your mail merge needs quite handily, and for not much money.

  • Email PDF from Mail Merge Problem

    Using a data source of email addresses from Excel 2003 and performing a mail merge in Word 2003 with the Mail Merge to Adobe PDF button, everything worked okay and the emails generated to the outbox in Outlook 2003 with the relevant PDFs attached.  However, once they were mailed the recipients who use Outlook Express had the attachments missing.  I'm using Acrobat 8.1.5
    I've seen previous queries about this and it seems to relate to Outlook using a RTF format.  I set Outlook to default to html and then plain text formats but still had the same problem. Can anyone suggest how I can solve this or if the problem is Outlook related, then another email program that would work without causing this problem (preferable freeware or inexpensive).

    Just an interesting after thought, since you mentioned blocking. Several federal agencies and companies block zip files also. I ran onto a message recently about the university blocking zip files at one time because of a problem. Mail merge files are typically personalized and it would be nice for them to go intact. If they re not personalized, but just being sent in general, then posting the basic file and e-mailing a link might work better. For a lot of things I do, I just use the mail merge that is built into my e-mail client. That creates a mail-merge of messages that are personalized.
    Just thought the blocking comment might be of interest, though I give the same advice. I am not sure how it could be done with zip in a mail merge sense.

    Looking also for an app that allows me to merge email and send them out to each recipient individually. Apparently that's not possible yet. Here's what the guys at RedbitsApps told me about Group Email capabilities: 
    "The current version of the app relies on the device operating system to send the emails. For this reason, sending individual email instead of a single email to multiple recipients is not possible. Apple doesn't allow apps to send single emails to many recipients easily. We may use a custom sending software in a future version."

    Have gone through the whole process of creating a mail merge in mircrosoft word and am now using the "Merge to Adobe PDF tool" to convert as well as automaticall send Adobe PDF files be Email.
    In the message section of the window, I really need to personalise the body of the email with something like

    Choosing a field from my database.
    However I can't seem to figure out how to get around it.

    I have a user who is trying to do a mail merge from MS Word 2010 by using the PDF Add-in, whether she selects just to create the PDF's or email them automatically the add-in will say the emails have been sent successfully but only the first address on the WORD mail merge list will have been created/emailed. Effectively only doing one at a time!

    As the event log indicated, this is due to acrobat pdfmaker office com addin doesn't work well with Microsoft Word.
    I would suggest you go ahead and try to upgrade your Adobe product to the latest version and see if issue persists.
    Or contact the support of Adobe and see if there is a known compatibility issue or not.

    I am sending a mass email of sorts, I want the people I am sending the mail to first name to appear at the top of the letter.
    How do I mail merge, or have first name appear when I am BCC emailing 20 email addresses at a time

    AFAIK, there's no built-in way to do an email merge in Apple Mail. There are third-party bulk mail programs such as Direct Mail which will do what you describe.

    Good morning
    I have created an email mail merge in Word to be sent via Outlook. Some apostrophes (not all - only those 2/3 down the document) appear in the sent email as the number 1.  I have tried saving the Word document as an HTM and then sending but the same thing occurs.  The email is being sent as an HTML (text does not present well).
    Any solutions?

    Have you tried restarting or resetting your iDevice?
    Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after It shuts down, press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
    Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds).

    TI used to be able to send emails in a campaign on word through my PC by the below, but i cannot seem to do from my Mac. Any ideas?
      type your email message including signature in a new Microsoft Word document; go to:
    Tools > Letters and Mailings > Mail Merge
    Select Email messages on the sidebar on the right, click Next
    Select Use the current document on the sidebar, click Next
    Select Use an existing list, click Browse…
    Find the prepared spreadsheet, click Open
    Choose the worksheet to use within the spreadsheet
    Verify the list of recipients, click Ok
    Click Next
    To insert a field into the message, place the cursor where the field should go, click More items…
    Select the field, click Insert; choose another field and repeat, or click Close;
    Click Next
    Verify the message appears accurately for various recipients by clicking the double arrows on the sidebar; make any necessary changes, click Next
    Click Electronic Mail…
    Select the email field from the To: pull down menu
    Type your desired subject

    The only way that I currently know of to remove old or incorrect email addresses is to restore the device back to factory defaults, which is somewhat extreme. You can try leaving feedback, and hopefully one day we'll get a way of editing them http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipad.html

    2 - email receipt status is automatic by Email marketing. You should see it in the Campaign Detail - section Recipients
    3 - Campaign Detail - section Recipients > You can insert Contacts manually or via Data Import or via Segmentation Wizard.
