Email message causes program to close
When I try to delete a particular email message the program closes and none of the other emails I just deleted are actually removed. Any ideas?
Holy Cow! This is happening to me too! Please ... Someone help because this is quite frustrating!!

After Yosemite, a new email message causes Mail to hang
After upgrading to Yosemite last evening, opening a "compose new message" window in Mail causes Mail to hang (crash?). I'm able to receive email messages, but I can only send messages by booting my MacBook Air in "Safe" mode. (Opening Mail in "safe" mode does not keep Mail from crashing when I open a "compose new message" window.)
I haven't been able to get far enough to see if trying to "send" a message will make Mail crash. Just opening a "compose new message" window and trying to put the cursor in the address line, subject line, or message area will cause Mail to spin away into infinity.
I do use three Mail add-ins: MailTags, Mail Act-On and the Daylite Mail Assistant; but all of those are the most current versions and their developers claim that they are compatible with Yosemite.Welcome to Yosemite beta. I havent been able to use Mail since I "upgraded" 4 days ago. Apparently the solution is to wait until Apple figures out what went wrong.

I’m getting the following error message when ever I try to start cs6 and the program gets close.
“Adobe Photoshop CS6 has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available”

Pesky email message keeps causing Entourage to close
I was cleaning out email messages tonight, and there is this one that shuts down Entourage every time I click on it - can't open it or delete it. I get the "Microsoft Entourage has encountered a problem and needs to close" message along with a request to send them a report. I've been using Entourage about 2 years and have never run into this problem before. It's Office 2004 and Entourage version 11.2.4.

I'm not certain if this trick will work but it can't hurt anything.
Go here: MacintoshHD/User/Library/Preferences. Open the Preferences folder and look for a file that looks similar to this: com.entourage.plist that's not exactly what is says but it's close. It's just the preference folder for Entourage and sometimes those files can become corrupted. If you can locate a file like that just drag it to the Trash, empty the Trash. Your Mac will create a new Entourage preference file for you. You might need to do the same with with your Office2004 preference file.

Why are programming symbols suddenly interspersed in my email messages?
About 3 weeks ago, I began getting what look like programming strings interspersed in email messages from one source. No one else who gets email from that source gets them. No other email is affected. They are a combination of <BR> <BR> and strings of letters and symbols sometimes every other word or full paragraphs of these.
Did you try a different encoding (View > Character Encoding) ?
Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
* "Clear the Cache": Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
* "Remove the Cookies" from sites causing problems: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

I opened a pdf file that was attached to an email message I received and now it will not close when I press "Done" as files usually do. Does anyone have a solution to suggest please? Thanks.
Try double clicking your home button then force close the stuck PDF by swiping upward. Once you've done that just click the home button again to exit.

I switched to Apple Mail in the last two months. When I attempt to print an email message, I get a blank piece of paper. When I attempt to use the print options suggested in "Mail Help", the program crashes and has to be reopened. Any ideas?
Which version of Mail are you using as well as which Snow Leopard version you are using?

iTunes successfully installs in my computer but the moment I open it, a message will appear showing that microsoft has stopped working and the program will close. What do I do?
Let's first try updating your QuickTime Player to the most recent version. Does that help with the iTunes launch errors?

Why my iphone produces a bug after it renew for OS5.1.1. The bug is when I use message, type a Chinese word, and then using a releveant word, then the program automately closes. Every time I try the same procedure, it definitely closes.
Nobody knows? Not even administrators?
Please it would be really nice to have help on that to take all the benefit of the remote app.

I bought Elements 13 4 days ago through Amazon - so far it has not run for more than 5 minutes before Windows closes it down with the message - this program is not working correctly, windows will close it. I know this is not unusual but has anyone got a solution - apart from returning it
with a very unfavourable review? I have tried all the suggested fixes on the Adobe help site with no result. Elements 10 runs OK on the same machine.

Do you have any version of Premiere Elements 13 or only Photoshop Elements 13 which comes with Elements Organizer 13?
Let us look at the following for Elements Organizer 13....
1. Deletion of disabling the Elements Organizer 13 setting file which is named psa.prf. In Windows 7, 8, o 8.1 64 bit, it is found in the

Alex, thanks for the reply but it did not answer my question. I only want to turn off notifications & interruptions while I am on the phone. For this desired result, the only way the Do Not Disturb feature would help is if I manually turned it on before each phone conversation. Since my phone rings at random times, this is not possible. Basically, I just want to "opt out" of call-waiting. When I had a landline I never had call waiting. I don't want to be interrupted. But beyond that, even if I am being interrupted why are these notifications preventing the other party from hearing my voice?

Troublesome need to log off between switching from Yahoo to another website with message that program is still running.
Terminate Firefox from the "Processes" tab of the Windows Task Manager not the "Applications" tab. Then select firefox.exc and use the right-click context menu to "End Process" or use the "End Process" button on the selected process.
Windows 7 keyboard shortcut "Ctrl+Shift+Esc" will go directly to the Windows Task Manager and reopen the last tab that you had open.

Why Outlook email messages show unreadable characters
When you receive a new email in Outlook, you may see unreadable characters in the email message body. This issue could be caused by one of the following reasons on Outlook client side:
The email you received is converted to plain text format or a different encoding by a virus scanner.
This always happens when you are using characters (Such as apostrophes, double quotes, dashes, and ellipsis) supported by the "Smart Quotes" feature. When the email you received is converted to plain text format or a different encoding by a virus
scanner, the character is converted from the ASCII character to a Unicode character, which is not supported on the recipient’s side.
To prevent this issue from happening, we can turn off the “Smart Quotes” Feature in Outlook:
1. Open Outlook 2013.
2. Click File > Options > Mail.
3. Click Spelling and AutoCorrect button.
4. In the Editor Options window, click AutoCorrect Options button to open the AutoCorrect dialog.
5. Click AutoFormat tab, and then clear the check box before “Straight quotes” with “smart quotes” under Replace heading.
6. Click OK.
The issue may be related to font substitution when a change is made to the Web Options in Microsoft Word.
If a change is made to the Web Options in Microsoft Word, registry data under the following key may be configured incorrectly:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Word\Internet\Fonts
This problem has been seen to occur when the Latin string value under the \Fonts key was empty (no value).
We can check the Web Options setting in Word via:
1. Start Word.
2. Go to File > Options > Advanced.

To resolve the problem, we need to delete the \Fonts registry key. To do this, please follow:

4. Right-click the Font key and select Delete.

The sender used an e-mail program that did not mark messages with a language encoding (character set), or marked messages with an incorrect encoding setting.
In this case, we will see unreadable characters when we open the received message in our Outlook. For example, European regional characters (like German) require UTF-8 encoding protocol. So if the encoding in your environment is set to ASCII, the regional
characters will not be available.
To resolve this issue, we need to change the encoding in Outlook to which will display your message correctly.
1. Double-click to open the message you received.
2. Click Actions button in the Move group under Message tab.
3. Click Other Actions > Encoding.
4. Click More and select the correct encoding setting for the email.
5. After you finish reading the message, close the message, and click Yes button to save changes to the message.
When we send an email with Outlook, we can set Outlook to automatically select encoding for outgoing email messages to increase the possibility that the recipient receiving the message will see all the characters rendered properly, even if they run older
e-mail programs. By default, Outlook 2013 will automatically select an optimal encoding for outgoing e-mail messages. We can change the settings here in Outlook 2013: File > Options > Advanced > International Options section.
Something you may need to know when you set the encoding settings:
* The Unicode (UTF-8) character enables the complete range of characters on all computers. It’s the official IANA code for the UTF-8 character encoding.
* Western European (ISO) and Western European (Windows) character set can be read by almost all computers.
* If you are using a language other than English, you must choose the correct character set for that language, or the characters you need will not be displayed correctly.
