Email receiving from yahoo

I recently have an email communication problem sending and receiving between mine and my wife iPad . She is on yahoo and me on gmail. I have gone through the settings and can't seem to get resolution. Is this an issue between yahoo and google?

Welcome to the Apple Community.
That's how it's supposed to work, you can't stop it. If this isn't what you want you should get yourself a POP based email account.

How can i refresh the mail, to see the latest email received from my hotmail account. If i close Mail, the program, and re-open, then I can see the latest mail received. Is there a key combo-short-cut to do this.

Emailing photos from yahoo mail via iphoto

I would like to be able to send photos directly from iphoto using the email button but i would need to send the photos from my yahoo mail account as I don't have apple mail. Is it possible to link yahoo somehow to my ibook so that when I click on email photo in iphoto it links to my yahoo account and the mail will be sent from yahoo instead. Do I make any sense at all? If anyone has any idea, please reply in as 'basic' a way as possible - thanks.

The way it works is as follows.
1. You upgrade your free Yahoo Mail account to a Yahoo Mail Plus mail account. (FYI: Google Mail is free internet based email that offers free integration with Apple Mail, called POP access. This integration is what you are paying for with Yahoo.)
2. You obtain instructions from Yahoo on how to use Apple Mail with your Yahoo Mail account. They give you the server information (there is a server for outgoing mail and a server for incoming mail) and you supply your Yahoo user name and password. Open Apple Mail and go to Mail > Preferences > Accounts to supply this information.
3. You can then send and receive your Yahoo email through the Apple Mail program instead of going to Yahoo through your web browser. You can also use your Mac's address book now for sending email.
4. Most importantly to you, you can now click the Email Photo button in iPhoto. iPhoto will open Apple Mail with the photo attached, and you can then send the photos to whoever you want. The email will appear as though you sent it through the web based Yahoo mail.

Email event generator - error publishing emails received from browser

Hi,
Configured an email event generator that listens on a mailbox. The message type is set to string and no filters. All emails sent from outlook is published successfully to message broker channel and the subscribed by a process. Whereas for emails sent from any browser email like yahoo, gmail gives "Null pointer exception - cannot publish message". Anybody have encountered this error?
Also is it possible to configure the email event generator to archive the emails to another folder in the mailbox rather than to a physical directory?

Can't access my account, forgot security question, email banned from yahoo. Is there any way of getting my account back?

Title says all. I can't remember my security question because it was 5 or 6 years ago and the answer to that has long changed. I have about $200 worth or more purchases on there and when you're 15 that's a lot :/
My Yahoo! email address got permanently banned from Yahoo so I cannot get an email verification.
Is there any possible way of getting my account back at all?

Export list of senders in mail box (and number of emails received from them)

I, like many people I know, have allowed my email inbox to get out of control. I want to unsubscribe to the accounts that spam me most. But first, I would like to export a list of all the senders for each individual email in my inbox. I would like to identify the accounts that spam me most often so I can address them first (Pareato Principle ).
I DO NOT want a list of senders only, I also need to know the quantity of emails I have received from them. Does anyone know how to export this information into an excel file?

Good eye! As the e-mail did not originate from an Apple.com e-mail address, I recommend marking this message as spam and reporting the message to your e-mail provider if possible.

Encrypted emails received from Outlook

I can send and receive signed/encrypted emails from Mail, and everything comes up fine...and the received message shows the "Security:" header showing icons for Signed and Encrypted. So far so good.
And when receiving signed emails from e.g. Outlook, this header shows with the "Signed" icon. Still good.
The problem is, when I receive encrypted emails that were sent using Outlook 2007 (via Exchange), I see the "Security" header, but I don't see anything on that line. It doesn't say "Signed" nor "Encrypted". It's decrypting the message ok - just not actively showing me that it's encrypted.
I can reproduce on multiple machines. Is there some sort of workaround, or is this a bug in Mail?

I have exactly the same problem when receiving signed + encrypted mails from Windows Thunderbird.

Play special ring tone when email received from specific email address

I have a 8900 and do not use a BES. I would like the blackberry to alert me by playing a special tone when I receive any email from one address. When ever there is a problem with any part of my network, I will received an email from [email protected] Can this be done and how?

Supposedly the BB software is supposed to do that when you assign a contact a special ring tone...but it has never worked for me.
Hopefully a reply comes in telling us how to get it to work, or RIM catches this and fixes the software.

First you export your Yahoo contacts.
Actions / Export All, and select: single vCard
Then import the vCards to your Address Book, using File / Import.
Mail will find the addresses in the Address Book, as needed

Email conversion from Yahoo

Since the email conversion on 15/09/2014 my son cannot access his emails in Czech Republic. He has a sub account on my BT Account. I can access his account in the UK. He has had numerous conversations with BT but they have not got an answer as yet. He needs this access for his business and is getting a little vociferous about it. That is why I am trying to be tactful. Does anyone have a possible solution.

I'm having problems with the new BT Mail. I'm unable to forward emails with pictures. BT have been as much use as a chocolate teapot.
The way I have got around this is set up a new non BT web mail account (I've used Yahoo) in the settings of his BT Mail account go to Mail - Auto forward - tick the auto forward box and put in his new email address also tick the box for keep copy just in case he can access his mail eventually.
Then log into his new web mail account and his BT mail will be there. Just remember that if he replies it will come from his new account.
Also he will not have access to any of his BT folders.
As you can access his account I suggest you set up his new account as you should be able to import his contacts.
Not the ideal solution but it works for me.
Another solution may be to set up his BT Mail in Windows Mail which isn't web based. I have no problems with that at all.

I have an Iphone 5 and Love it. Except for one thing; I recently changed from ymail email account to a gmail account. I updated it on the
Apple/ Itunes site and it does accept the change. I can still access the APP store and Itunes.
However, sometimes I get a pop up box from Apple showing the old email address and asking me to sign in..... I hit cancel and move on.   But, now Icloud keeps popping up promting me to sign in and it shows the old email which I don't have anymore.... I tried signing in with the old info to clear it off screen of my phone but, it doesn't allow and I hit cancel and it goes away. only to appear later again.... This is so frustrating and annoying.    Is there any way to get the Icloud to update the email address with my Apple ID log in info--without having to delete stuff or lose things on my phone?

I like using mail, because I can insert pictures into the body of the email. However, I can't figure out how to import my Yahoo email contacts into mail. Can anyone walk me through this?
