Email shows my host server name not my email address?

Golive user, using ProcessForm3 from mindpalette. Need to know what line to add/ an email so my server address won't show up in the recipients "from" box when they receive the contact/web submission form I have added to my clients websites. If someone is interested in helping me, I will attach source code for you to review.
Also, need to know where to add additional attachment size code to my php.ini file.

I'm not familiar with the mindpalette script but somewhere in there should be a variable you might set. Search it for 'send' or 'sender'.
There are a few places in PHP.ini to set attachment size as such an operation may affect both the size of the attachment and the RAM needed to process it. PHP.ini should be commented as well for this. You may wish to contact your web host for assistance as they might limit resources to you that will override what you set in php.ini.

we are running virtual machines on host servers. we have installed scom agents on virtual machines. when I go to windows computers in monitoring pane and select display attribute as "host server name" and
"virtual machine" it is blank when IP address, Network name etc are getting populated.

Windows Server 2012 The licensing mode for the Remote Desktop Session Host server is not configured

Hi
I have a standard Windows Server 2012 that is hosted in the cloud by a hosting provider -
This server has been up and running fir 6 months - recently we have been getting a warning
"The licensing mode for the Remote Desktop Session Host server is not configured" - The Remote Desktop Session Host server is within its grace period, but the RD Session Host server has not been configured with any license server.
Yet, we only use this with 2 connections as part of the standard licence agreement and this server is not used as a user's desktop only an ftp and web server- do therefore we do not need to purchase any cal licences (we have another server with the same
hosting company that does not have this issue and has been up for 18months)
Please can someone advise how I resolve this issue, the hosting company states that I must resolve it as they only host and resell the server licence

Hi Richard,
You need to uninstall Remote desktop session host feature. After removing it, you will default two connections which does not need to purchase RD CALs'.

DHCP server does not assign IP addresses SG500 firmware 1.3.5

good day collegues
has any of you come across the following issue:
my switch (after upgrading to the newest firmware 1.3.5) does not assign IP addresses to some of the hosts.
after a couple of hours I managed (do not even how) to force my switch to assign IP addresses only to some of the hosts.
still some of them cannot get the IP address and remain with "funny" IP address like i.e. 169.254.100.100
additional info
1. if I boot my switch with the previous version of firmware (1.3.0.6) everything is OK. all my hosts get correct IP addresess
2. the hosts which do not get IP address were perviously entered in stat host table - now removed, ARP cleared, etc, everything many many times rebooted.
I ran out of ideas, could you pleae give me some hints ?

Hi Andbor, please make a backup config of your file, factory reset the switch.
After this, manually configure a DHCP scope without any other configuration.
Just something simple like this

Verify your machine receive IP address with no other configuration.
In some ways, I'm afraid some of your connections black listed due to the arp inspection.

Server name not showing up in Chooser

mac OS 10.1.3 server. The server name is not showing up in the Chooser,. I can get to it by typing in the IP address, but this is a pain for my teachers.
It showed up for a long time, but now it will not show up.
Any ideas?

Apple talk is on the server and the clients. I also have another server that is connected to the same switch and it can be seen in the chooser. So I do not think it is a config problem with the switches or hubs. I have not changed anything (that I know of). I have researched this and can not find anything on it.

SCOM 2012 reports do not show object or server name

When running any performance reports (I have tested OS, SQL, and generic reports) the object is not listed in the report and the only why to tell which object the counter is from is to drill open the Instance. However, this does not work on scheduled and
delivered reports.
Has anyone noticed this or am I crazy? If so, how did you get around it? I was thinking if I can get the RDL for the report I can create my own with the object name.

I haven't seen any reports from anyone who has actually installed it to see whether it introduces any problems or whether the fixes work in a real-world environment.
the notes include:
"Issue 5
By default, when a generic performance report is exported, the object information (such as server name, disk label, and so on) is collapsed, and the information is missing."
So it looks like the fix is in.

Failed Job Query on Central Management Registered Servers - Host Server is not included in results

The following standard query works great for showing failed jobs on servers. Executing this in Central Management Registered Servers works as expected, but the Host Server results are not listed, and the same query needs to be executed against the host server
too.
e.g.
Registered Servers are defined on Server A
Results are displayed from servers B, C, D & E - but results are not displayed for Server A.
How do we receive results from Server A without having to execute a separate query ?

multiple configuration targets simultaneously, it
indeed only contains the results of server groups, you need to execute again on the host server (Central Management Servers) then display the results of Central Management Servers, because the Central Management Server cannot be a member
of a group that it maintains.
If you want to get all servers results by executing the statement one time. I recommend you use Local Server Groups, create new register server and add all servers to the Local Server Groups, then right click “new query

Server Name not found on Servers' List

Hi,
I have an installation on SAP B1 8.8 on which the server and 3 of the four clients are operating normally. The fourth client (ran on Windows 7) is not showing the server name on the "Company Select" form. Instead of it it is showing only "(local)". As a result, of course, the list of companies shown below is empty. I tried to re-install but with no good.
Again, the other clients on the network are working fine.
Does anyone have faced similar situation?

which windows 7? 64 bit or 32 bit?
first of all do a clean uninstall.
delete all SAP folder in c:\program files, c:\common files\business objects.
delete all SAP folders from application data coming under documents and settings for all users, administrators.
delete all temp files under c:\windows, documents and settings\ each user and\or administrators\local settings.
download msicuu2.exe from microsoft.com, install and run it, will clean registry if anything available.
install SAP B1.
then go to LAN adaptor settings, under network settings, under IPV4 and in adapter settings, specify the static IP address if any and in the default gateway specify the IP address of the server.
uncheck IPV6.
start SAP B1
it should work.

Hiding the Port in a Virtual Host/Server-name Alias

I need some guidance/help with the HTTP Server in AS 10g. We have several new Portal sites with a mix of forms, reports, and pl/sql server pages. We wish to make these services available from the internet via an aliased hole in the firewall.
We have our public alias of Alias.CompanyWebsite.com mapped to the server-name, but we'd like to get the alias mapped to servername:port. I've tried to get this set up using virtual hosts in the HTTP server, but I'm having no luck. I'm also having trouble finding documentation on how to this.
Is there a way to hide the server-name and port number via a virtual host (alias) in HTTP Server and/or Web Cache? If so, how do you accomplish this?

Usually it is like this:
outside name: www.acme.com
oudside port: 80
inside name: inside.acme.local
inside port: 7778 (if you have a seperate machine for the middle tier)
In the Webcache you'll need a site
www.acme.com with port 80
and an origin server
inside.acme.local with port 7778
Then create a site-to-server mapping from www.acme.com to inside.acme.local
If your firewall listens to another name or does something with the ports you need to change the site accordingly.

Error in host server but not in home PC

I compiled the AppletButton.class(http://www.dedserius.com/~vanboers/OLDui/overview/example-1dot1/AppletButton.java) using jdk1.5.0_01 and call it from a HTML page without a Windowclass parameter so that testwindow opens.
When I run the HTML page from my PC, Browser Address
"C:\Documents and Settings\ing_rivera\Desktop\AppletButton\page.html"
it works perfectly, so that when I click the button the Testwindow opens.
But when I run it from my host server "lunarpages.com" & I click the button the message "Please wait while the window comes up..." shows up and the Testwindow never opens.
By the way the files page.html and AppletButton.class are in the same file in my PC as well as in lunarpages so that shouldn't be the problem, is something else.

Not enough information. You didn't get an error window that has a details button?
Open the Java Control Panel | Advanced tab | Debugging and select "Show applet lifecycle exceptions", which enables this window.
You can also see the details of Java problems by selecting IE Tools menu | Sun Java Console.

Host server name issue

I have installed Weblogic 7.0 on Windows 2000
server name = mb_sarah1
server ip = 192.168.27.35
application name = sarah
In a Servlet, I try to get an Object (that I've put earlier) in the
Session
When I use the url http://192.168.27.35:7001/sarah, all is good
When I use the url http://mb_sarah1:7001/sarah, the Object that I get
is null
I've changed nothing expect the url for accessing the Web Application
in the Adress Field of my Web Browser

DNS lookup is configured as outlined in the previous reply. But, looking at your /etc/hosts file:
10.103.10.125 ; oen11g.grid.com oen11g I would remove the semicolon.
Btw, the hosts file is also somewhat different in Linux since it puts the name of the server at the same line of localhost.
The Oracle installer expects it there.. e.g.: 127.0.0.1 gird.example.com grid localhost.localdomain localhost
You can use e.g. export ORACLE_HOSTNAME=grid.example.com to work-around the issue.

HT1212 i have done all of these steps more than once and my iphone is continuing to be disabled. my computer shows "the iphone server could not be contacted." what do i do? i am in desperate need of my iphone to no longer be disabled!

I have completed the steps given to me to have my iphone 5 no longer be disabled. I have completed the steps multiple times but my computer continues to say "The Iphone spftware update server could not be contacted." I have officially ran out of patience and I am in need of some assistance. I have never disabled my Iphone before and i am having some difficulties trying to get it restored. Server name not showing up in shared list.

Wondering if anyone may know what's up with this. We have a mac mini server with Yosemite server on it. The name for the server isn't showing up on the client computers in the office in the "Shared" list of computers in the Finder.
Any ideas?

RMI server behind firewall--must use host as name, not IP

Server is running behind a firewall, which runs such that any machine behind the firewall cannot use the external IP to get back to itself.
That is:
- outside IP = 192.171.20.5 (port forwards 1099 to 192.168.1.5:1099)
- inside IP = 192.168.1.5 (rmi server listens on 1099)
from the machine inside (192.168.1.5), it is IMPOSSIBLE to create a socket to [outside ip](192.171.20.5), port 1099, and expect it to get back to the machine inside--the firewall prohibits this.
I -can- use name-based lookups, such that I can edit the hosts file on the inside box to route (myhost.com to 192.168.1.5). So, if everyone's DNS resolves myhost.com -> 192.171.20.5, then clients anywhere can go to myhost.com:1099 and will be redirected to my internal machine (192.168.1.5:1099).
The problem with this is that the names get translated to IPs and sent back to the client.
Is there a way to keep the names as names, so that both client (using external real-world DNS entries) and server (using local hosts file) can both resolve to the proper IP addresses?
I'm starting server, as follows:

If your dns is giving external users a 192.168 address as the ip for myhost.com, they will never get to it. 192.168 is not routable on the internet, i think most inet routes will drop packets from 192.168.x.x or 10.x.x.x.

I'm still not clear on your network layout, is 192.171.20.5 and 192.168.1.5 the 2 gateway ip's, or is 192.168.1.5 a physically different machine? I'd be willing to bet that your server is compiled with the external address, and if that's not the same machine, then there's no chance of that working....
There's more than port forwarding going on.. IIRC, java rmi keeps track of its own ip's.. A client request to an external ip will not connect to a server running on the internal ip, even if you forward the port, rmi itself doesn't recognize the internal as the ip it's trying to get to (even if it is true), so it bombs out.. This can happen if you run the rmi server on a gateway, and compile the server with the external ip, and try to connect to the internal ip.. If you want external machines to connect, you MUST run the server on an external ip.
Give a little more info, we'll getcha running... I'm also assuming you have full control of your network (ie, firewall/dns)

In my humble opinion do not see any use in setting up these details on variables. The fact that these could be used only after logging on, which will obviously need these details manually. If you require it for tracking purpose, You could do it manually, as they are going to be static at least for that session.
