Email vanishes before I can even read it...

I have a serious problem. Been on-going and I haven't found a solution yet.
Incoming email that is vanishing before I can even read it.
Numerous times oI've noticed incoming email notifications on on the pop up notification window on the upper righthand of the screen. I can see who the email is from and the first sentence or so.
But when I go to Apple Mail the email(s) aren't there.
I've checked the junk folder, trash folder even my mailbox on icloud and no email. As if it never happened.
For example I just paid my credit card bill online. I saw an immediate Apple Mail notification from my CC company confirming payment. But when I check Apple Mail the email never made it to my box. Not a sign of it - anywhere.
I go to Apple mail -- no email.
I'm having the same problem with several other incoming accounts. The emails simply refuse to show up in Apple Mail.
Is this a known issue? It's also happening across my synced computers and the ipad. None of them show certain emails showing up.
I use Spam Sieve to manage spam. But it doesn't seem to matter if I uninstall it or if its running or not.
It caused a serious problem a while back. A business associate claimed he had emailed me a dozen times about a project. I would check - no emails anyhere. I finally had him do a test. I would be on the phone and he would push send. I would see the notification come up showing it had arrived. But nothing in Apple Mail. It's driving me crazy. I have no idea how many email addresses are affected.

  • I have iphone 4, uploaded iOS7. Only some of my emails are transmitted to my phone. They all show up on my computer  but only some show up on the phone. Sometimes the emails on the phone delete before I can even read them. Any thoughts?

    I have iphone 4 , updated to iOS 7 and had to reset phone, lost many contacts. Fixed a duplication problem on contacts.  Now the problem is with email, I have a cox account, icloud account.  I can send myself a test message and I always get it on the phone.  I do not consistently obtain other emails, yet all the emails show up on my home computer.  Do I have my settings messed up?

    OK, I did the following:
    I read and then deleted ALL the messages waiting for me at the Tiscali server using their webmail option.
    This left my Tiscali in box completely empty.
    To be on the safe side, I deleted all my Email Accounts on my Mac and loaded just one, the [email protected] - i.e. my Tiscali email address. I also reset and then changed the password.
    I then got Tiscali tech support to reset my mailbox.
    I then crossed my fingers!
    I then sent myself a number of test emails, some from the Tiscali server webmail option, some from my PC laptop and some from Mail on my beloved Mac.
    I can now confirm that I can send emails from my Mac using Mail but cannot download any. All that happens when I click "Get Mail" on Mail is that the program looks at the pop3 mail server at Tiscali but doesn't see the test emails that are waiting there for me to download.
    Any suggestions???

  • CDS & DVDS Ejecting before they can even read and internet videos crashing

    Since the upgrade to 10.5.7 I have not been able to use any cds or dvds on my computer unless they are blank for some reason all it does is read for like 10 seconds then it automatically ejects its self.
    Also since the update I havent been able to go on sites such as youtube, mega video, etc with out my system crashing my laptop is only a year old *** is going on? any help would be great

    Do you have the same CD/DVD and browser problem when you are logged in to a different user account? Can you boot your Mac with the System Restore DVD that shipped with it?

    What you are seeing is a kernel panic, often but not always connected with a hardware or peripheral issue, so, unplug everything except mouse and  keyboard, reboot and hold the shift key as soon as your hear the chime, continue holding it until you see the Apple Icon and spinning progress indicator, then post back.
    It will take noticeably longer than normal to start.

  • I am using the Kurzweil 3000 software and before I can use Read the Web, KESIReader Firefox extension must be installed. This is not compatible with Firefox 5, how can I make your extension to work with my software?

    I use the kurzweil 300 software and before I can use Read the Web I must first install the KESIReader.xpi Foxfire extension into Mozilla Foxfire however, the extension is not compatible with Mozilla Foxfire 5 which is the version installed on my computer. What can be done to make this work with Kurzweil 3000 software and the Read the Web tool?
    Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 or 8 Web Browser.

  • Console Window keeps popping up for one second then vanishes before I can read it

    a console window (with white letters on a black background) keeps popping up for 1 second and then vanishes before i have time to read it - How can i
    stop that, or how can i capture what is written on the console before it disappears (so that I can troubleshoot it)?

    I ran ProcMon and went to the ProcessTree window, but could not find any cmd.exe there (and hence could not see the commandline). (I also watched the video about ProcMon).
    The closest I could find in the ProcessTree window was conhost.exe, with commandline showing:

    In the result column, I noticed some "buffer overflow" and "name not found", many associated with "tunmgr.exe" the Blackberry Link Communications Manager.
    I also noticed that in the ProcessTree Window, the only two process lines with an End Time are tunmgr.exe and conhost.exe.

  • Nokia E5 email update and now can't read email

    Hi, I downloaded the nokia email 3.21 update last night, and turned the phone off and on again as per instructions but now I can't read my emails (hotmail account)  as they just come up a load of jumbled letters and symbols, anyone know how to fix this? Or at least if there is a way to get rid of the update?

  • IMovie 09 Crashes Before I Can Even Choose Something To Import

    IMovie has a massive problem with importing video (not from a camera). As soon as I choose to import video it shows the finder as it should, but I get the wheel of death which doesn't stop.
    It has kind of developed this problem over time, I used to be able to import fine, then I could navigate through finder a bit but it would crash when I got a few folders deep, now I can't even go 1 level deep.
    Does anyone have any idea why this might be happening and how I can fix it? I'm using an IMac 7,1 running Mac OS X 10.6.4, so upgrading to iLife 11 doesn't really seem like a good option, as I'd also have to upgrade the OS (and spend money, which I'd prefer not to do).

    You need to create a new project before you can edit the video. When you import video it goes into an Event. You then create a project (File>New Project) and drag clips or parts of clips into the project. Full editing features are then available. It's best if you have Show Advanced Tools checked in iMovie>Preferences, as this gives you access to some important additional functions.

  • Device removal pop up before i can even sync my ipod?

    I plug my iPod into my laptop macbook, and it takes a while. Then it shows up, but before I can hit sync, it disappears from the left side of my iTunes (where it says ___'s iPod) and off the desktop as a device, and it keeps on doing it. I've tried numerous times. What should I do? I want to be able to update my iPod.

    Alot of us are having the same problem witht he new version of Itunes... Apple needs to fix their own side of the problem cause no support they are giving us is working! Also half of the answers from the community are risky/ waste of time answers that are unsure if they will even work, and to many that try -Don't work!
    Ive been trying since yesterday to get an answer, no one is helping :/

  • TS1538 I have had issues for a week now. Cannot update or purchase from iTunes. Sign in appears then, before I can even input my info it vanishes. App store says I need 24 updates but when I press the icon to do so, it states that my device could not conn

    I have restarted device several times. Have unplugged wireless several times. Have done everything Apple has stated to do on their trouble shooting page. Have called Apple seeking advice. Was told for 35 bucks they can help over the phone or choose the free email. I chose the free method and followed what they suggested! Still nothing. I am incensed that they want 700 dollars for this POS and then want 35 bucks for verbal customer service!! I will never purchase another Apple product again if this does not get resolved. I am so disappointed. Then to be told that "for a fee" I can get verbal help. I was told my product warrantee has expired,  I wonder if it expired as soon as I had issues. I am fed up! Looking for window to throw this out of or place it where an automobile is backing up.  I would like the last week of my life back spent trying to fix this hunk a junk!! Oh, they had no problems before taking my money for songs and apps! Why can't they help fix this issue!!

  • Inbox empty, all emails in bin before they're even read

    Set up email last night and everything was fine. Turned it on today an no emails in my inbox. Check settings, all fine, check other folders and they're all in my bin.
    I can sync and a email comes into my inbox, when it syncs again it moves into my bin without even being read.
    I've tried searching the internet for a solution, read pages of forum, gone through all my settings. Very frustrating.
    Can anyone tell me how to stop my emails automatically going into my bin.

    Under Account Settings on the Virgin email account, do you have Sync server to device set to ON? With this set any email that is deleted on any other device or computer would be deleted from this device also. I would also make sure that Sync delete email is set to OFF to prevent all other email from being deleted from the server when this problem occurs.
    This could also be something on the Virgin server settings that need to be corrected where the email are being marked as read when they arrive. You may also want to increase the Sync Criteria, Show Email time from 2 weeks to 1 month.

  • Error messages vanish before you can read them

    Seriously? This is ridiculous. Is there no way to bring back a message once it has fashionably faded away after a few seconds?
    Did nobody read UX 101?

    I think their thinking was that making it disappear automatically was better than having to click to close it.  But, you're right. Maybe they should consider making the errors stay on the page with a click-to-close option for "error" type messages.  Success and confirmation messages can fade away but error messages should probably stay there and be manually closed unless you change pages in the BC Admin.
    Also-- it wouldn't hurt to have an error log of sorts- a place the Admin user can go to see error messages that the BC Admin area has shown and when it happened.

  • How can I fix having to "save" before I can even open a PDF?

    I have Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro (9.5.5) and when a recent update came thru I am no longer able to simply click and view the PDF sent, but now am required to save it before viewing.  Is there any simple way to correct this back to the old way?  I don't want to save everything on my computer; just the items I need.  Thanks

    It sounds like an update to your e-mail (probably Outloook). You might consider trying a different e-mail client like Thunderbird. Another option might be to try a repair from the Help menu in Acrobat. There may also be a flag in your e-mail client for what application to use to open a PDF. Sometimes this is done based on the settings in MS Explorer. The latter can be checked by seeing if you can open a PDF by double clicking on it in Explorer.

    You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; this can be done by phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, or clicking here and picking a method, or if your country isn't listed in either article, filling out and submitting this form.
    They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.
