Emailed scans from a printer don't arrive in Exchange Online

Hi,
I've just migrated an office to Office 365 with Exchange online. Everything is working fine, except they have an office printer/scanner that can email pdf scans to the staff. When they had a local Small Business Server, it worked fine, but now I've moved
it all to the cloud, the scans just disappear. The printer must relay the emails through SMTP port 25 and it's log show the email send had been completed sucessfully. Ive set a rule in Exchange Online to always trust connections from the static IP address
they use, yet still the pdf attachments just don't appear in the receipient's inboxes.
Does anybody have any suggestions about how I diagnose this problem?

Sorry if this comes to late, I just now came across this thread.  I have rtorrent and rutorrent sunning successfully on my x64 Arch Linux install.
Try putting the "SCGIMount /RPC2 127.0.0.1:5000" line in your httpd.conf file right after the LoadModule lines (it's line 124 for me).
I seem to recall it not working when I put it at the end of the file.

    i scan from my printer to a pdf.  the file comes across way to big (2mb for 4 pages with no pictures & just text, etc.)  i have already re-set the settings on my scanner / printer to try to get the smallest dpi & image possible.  how do i get to the settings on my adobe acrobat to reduce the size of the pdf when saved on my computer or is this not the right place to do that?

    You may need to reset that to use higher scan quality for successful OCR.

    Windows Live Photo Gallery was allowing import and scanning from my printer.  All of a sudden this feature has stopped working.  I no longer get the dialogue box that asks whether I want to import documents or pictures... Could this be a setting
    issue?

    You can launch it manually.The executable for the Scanner and Camera Wizard is:
    Start > Run > Type in wiaacmgr.exe > Press Enter key.

  • Unable to scan from the printer control panel to my computer using the HP Photosmart 5510

    Hi, I recently purchased the new HP Photosmart 5510 All in One --- and I’m not able to scan from my printer to my computer. I am however able to scan by initiating the scan from the computer. I spoke to HP customer care earlier this evening and we ran the print + scan doctor and did not find any problems. I’m running Windows 7 – 64bit and have installed my printer wirelessly using the Installation CD that came with the printer today. I wasn’t able to finish troubleshooting with the technician I spoke to because I had to leave for work. The Person I spoke with suggested possibly downloading the Full Feature Software from the hp.com website, which I’m happy to do but I feel that it is unnecessary because I have the install CD right here. (The rep I spoke to was very nice but I’d rather not have to uninstall and reinstall if it is not necessary) Because as I mentioned above, everything else works perfectly and I am able to scan --- just not directly from the printer itself.  When I'm trying to scan from my printer to my computer an error message comes up on the printer's control panel stating that: there is no scan destinations selected/no scan options. However, I can not find anywhere with my HP software where I could add/ensure that the destinations were there. (Like I could on my other printers. (Ie. Through the Solution Center) This printer does not seem to have a Solution Center that I could find and the Scanner Icon that was installed with the CD does not give me any options in terms of modifying the scanner settings I’m wondering: 1. Does the Hp Photosmart 5510 not have the capability to scan from the printer’s control panel? 2. OR Does the install CD that came with my printer only have the basic drivers like the tech support agent suggested? Which means in order to scan from my printer I’d have to download the drivers from your hp website? 3. Or is the issue due to something else completely?  Thanks for your help! 

    Hi Dublin, Follow the steps below to uninstall and reinstall the printer. 1. Open Control Panel2. Click on Uninstall a program3. Uninstall the Photosmart 6510 from the list4. Reboot your computer5. Download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html 6. Download the full feature software and drivers, and then reinstall the printer. Version 28.8

  • When I try to scan from my printer it does not connect

    When I try to scan from my printer I get a message "Cannot find HP deskjet 3050 j610". But i can print from it and get printer data like ink supply. This started abruptly today. It was working OK until a couple days ago.  The printer is connected by a USB cable. I have tried updating driver and "fixing" scanning problems via HP menus without success.  If I press the scan button on the printer it says "scan error. try scan from computer" But this is what I usually do by using the compute icon on the START menu.

    I've resolved the problem. The basic steps were (1) using the HP links to update my printer driver and search for errors in the scan program. (2) restart my printer and computer. After doing the first part,  I saw no results listed. Normally I would have restarted the printer and the computer, but was afraid of losing my sites and the survey so I continued to search the various comments.  I found a reference to this site in one of the post near mine for a #7520 device but cannot get back to it right now to give the author of the post. I think I sent him a reply.

    This site gives a lot of advice for various situations and devices. I followed the advice as it applied to my computer and printer which ended with step 2 (I use a USB connection) and the scanner worked  again.

    The procedure for exporting a group is to right-click (or Control-click) on the group in Contacts and select Export Group vCard, then email the resulting file to your friend. Is that what you're doing? If not, give that a try.  You can confirm the contents of the file by doing a Quick Look on the file.

    Welcome to the HP Support Forum.
    I Understand that you are having some issues with the HP Photosmart 7520 not printing, after running the HP Print and Scan Dr., Uninstalling and Installing software, trying a second computer and replacing the printer the issue could be caused by one or two things.
    You should check the Anti Virus / Firewall software on the computers if they have the same installed a recent update could now be blocking the printer.
    You should also look into the network being used to connect the computers with the printer. A update may be causing the ports in the router all printers use to now be blocked or need to be re-opened.

  • Mails from 1 address don't arrive

    SInce 3 weeks, it is unpossible for me to send a message to my hpeprint-mail-address. This problem i have only with 1 email-address. from an other i don't have problems.
    How can i found the problem? It have a log of Mails going to spam with the reason?

  • Scan from Envy Printer to MacBook suddenly stopped working

    I recently installed an HP Envy 100 printer, scanner copier. For the first week everything worked perfectly. I could print and scan wirelessly using my MacBook, iPhone, iPad or the Envy's controls themselves. Recently when I touched the "scan" icon on the Envy I was taken to the "Choose Scan Destination" as normal, then when I selected "Computer" I received this message:
    "You can start a scan from your computer OR scan to your computer from the printer.
    Make sure the HP printer software is installed.
    Window's Only - Network Connection
    In the HP printer software, enable the "Activate Scan to Computer" function.
    For Mac and USB connections, the "Activate Scan to Compuer" function is automatically enabled.
    Then the option to click "ok' which only returns me to the previous screen.
    I used to see instead (when it was working properly) the two computers on my network and I would simply select the correct one and and the scan would wireless appear in my documents folder.
    I called HP, we did all their trouble shooting and they said they could no longer help me. The suspected the problem was with my wireless network and suggest I contact apple. They also said the Envy uses Port 427 to scan wirelessly and that I should tell that to someone at apple when I am trouble shooting my airport extreme and network.
    Anyone encounter the same problem and know how to fix it?

    I suspect this has more to do with the fact that HP &/or Apple haven't gotten their act together to ensure that OS X Lion worked with the printer? I too bought an Envy 100 a few days ago for my daughter to take to university with her. On unboxing it at home to check it worked, we found initial set-up pretty straight forward..... but the only way we can get it to print is by having her 2010 MacBook Pro connected (NOT wireless). My 2011 MacBook Air won't connect to the printer at all, and neither will our iMac...although the latter did "briefly" show the Envy 100 as an available printer before asking for a software update which wouldn't download.
    I can only assume that we are expected to sit and wait until HP &/or Apple deign to pull their fingers out; in the meantime there is ZERO information readily available from either company as to what it going on, despite the fact Apple are happy to push HP printers in-store and on-line.
    I'm severely tempted just to re-box the printer and find one that, you know "just works "

    Only one computer of the three on my home network can receive any scan from this wireless printer.  It was the first one set up to do that.
    That computer is now away at school.  How can I change the computer on the network that will receive the scan?
    I have tried to change the printer from the printer's Set up on the printer's face, but it only shows the one computer and I can't figure out how to change it to another printer.

    Hi AtlArchitect, and welcome to the HP Forums.
    I see you are looking into connection options.  Due to the age of the printer, there is not software to connect to Windows 7.  You do have the option to connect with a USB via the Windows basic print driver.  You can find more information here:

  • Emailing something from my printer?

    Please explain how I can e-mail something from my printer.  I have a copy of a letter that I need to pass on to some friends.
    Can you give me a step by step to do that?
    I should know this but I don't as I don't do it that often.

    If looks like your hard drive is the problem, If try starting the iBook with the original cd that came with the computer.  Then run disk first aid to repair the hard drive.

    any idea how to scan from my canon mx700 and get a file to save on my iMac? have the printer connected to my time capsule, and it works fine printing.

    It is possible that such scanning features will only work if this printer/scanner is attached directly to the computer using a USB connection. Scanning needs a faster connection speed compared to printing. There are some multi-function printer/scanner devices that can complete the scan and then send the scanned image over the network; they seem to buffer the complete image internally and then send it all to the selected network computer. Most less expensive scanners interact in +real time+ with computer during the scan and complete it a bit at a time.

    says there is an asterisk for all C4200 series, which means your C4280 has an update via Software Update. If you can't find it, contact HP.
