Embed Youtube video indesign CC/CS6

I am trying to embed a youtube video in indesign to be published using DPS into an app on the ipad...
I was previously able to do this in indesign CS6 then upgraded to CC and now it no longer displays correctly. I have since gone back and reinstalled CS6 but now that doesn't work either...
I have tried on both CC and CS6 to embed the code using the "insert html" function and also right clicking the video to get that copy embed code and paste directly...neither works :/

I had the same problem after a update. Seems the code for YouTube might have changed or something within InDesign changed.
Here is the code you need to hopefully make it work (works for me everytime):

You will need to get the string of numbers & letters's that youtube gives in the share code like: Z452rs9qHuc. I put where you need to put it in bold. (This is what YouTube give now that does not work<iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/Z452rs9qHuc" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> (you need to take the info like what I highlighted in bold) & put in the code that I provided.
When you do the embbed, you might need to go back over the video, & bring up the embbed HTML box again & hit enter to make it work once you have put everything in if a blank box comes up. That is what I have had to do for the past few months.
I just tested using both the code I gave & what YouTube give now & only my code would work.

Is this also possible if it's destined for epub? I can't seem to get it to work. I've tried everything and searched multiple threads on the topic. Cannot find a single way to embed a youtube video that makes its way into iBooks.

iBooks had broken off the support for the embedded html items let it be maps, videos.
So whatever video you are placing is going there with the exported file but the reader(iBooks & Adobe Digital Editions) are not able to support it.
If you want to check you can verify it on Readium, an extension of chrome for epubs. or you can see on sigil.
As of now there's no way you can see them in ibooks

Embed Youtube video indesign CC/CS6 PDF

I am having the same problem. The video shows during the preview state within InDesign, but when exporting to pdf I get to the page on the pdf an the box shows up with "The Adobe Flash..." with four separate boxes and when I scroll over that does not results in being able to play the file. CAN SOMEONE HELP!!!! I have a deadline on Monday and could really sue some help.

Exporting to pdf. We circulate to a listserv via pdf to farmers and find that we have to use this format. The pdf is posted on a webpage so we know we users have internet access during reading and thus could stream the video. I'm unfamiliar on how to make a DPS folio, if it ends up being easy to use by the end user we could go that route, but I don't know how to do that,

I know that this question has been asked before, but a answer on it i couldn't find.

This won't work inside of a browser, but if you download the pdf and open it in Reader 9 it should work. You'll have to click the Flash icon and Allow dialogs first then enter a YouTube URL in the field in the lower right corner and click play. Most YouTube URLs from your browser address field should work, i.e. this format:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c1oMtwmTaNQ

How To Embed YouTube Videos in InDesign

First time poster, be gentle!
Anyways, I'm designing an internal newsletter for my company, and one of the feature stores includes talks about one of our clients' videos on YouTube, and I would like to embed that video into my InDesign file.
I followed the instructions at http://help.adobe.com/en_US/InDesign/6.0/WSC117AD88-69F6-4658-A1F1-12012B15B9D7.htm, and everything seems to be OK until I click the "Verify URL and Movie Size" button. It gives me the error "URL does not refernce a movie type." I am assuming this is because it's a YouTube video and there are problems reading it, but is there any way around this?

Just wondering if anyone has found a way to embed streaming media content such as youtube, vimeo, or other video provider movies into Indesign? I also need to be able to place streaming audio from an http source.
I want to export my indesign files to flash to create interactivity but really have no idea how to use Flash.
I am not even sure Flash can embed streaming media content from you Youtube or streaming audio content.
I looked into using PDF (via the Youtubewidget and it works great) but the issue I have there is that it's page transitions are very weak visually compared to that of Flash's page turn effect. Is there a way to export from a PDF to Flash and have all the media & links stay intact?
On another note, I did some testing in Indesign CS5. If you try and place a video from a URL it will require that the video start with HTTP or RTMP (for flash media server). I tried using the standard object embed codes from Youtube but it informs you that it is not properly formatted. I even tried to truncate it to start with the HTTP section of the code but it provided me with an error, stating it must start with HTTP or RTMP.
Does anyone know how to accomplish what I am looking to do?

Embed Youtube video into Powerpoint?

Is there a way to embed a youtube video into a powerpoint presentation on a mac? I have seen many tutorials on how to embed a youtube video into a powerpoint on a PC, but not on a mac. I know you can put on offline movie movie in a powerpoint, but I want to have it online. Any and all help would be appreciated.

Embed youtube video in mail

Hi. I have searched but can't find the answer to this. Is it possible to embed a youtube video in a Mail message? I want the actual video to display, not just the link that you would need to click on to take you to youtube. I can do this on forums. Is it possible in Mail?
I have a 27" iMac with Snow Leopard.

The use that url as the source for SWFLoader. YouTube player

I am trying to embed a youtube video, but am having issues with getting the video to show up. One of my professors showed us how to do it and it looked something like this:

I know that the second line is wrong, but I cannot remember what it is suppose to be. Also, I know she mentioned changing the width and height so its easier to readjust the size.

Please try this.
Step 1 :
Create a rectangle and name it as ytVideo. (give it the width and height as per your requirement)
Step 2 :
Insert a trigger in the timeline and insert following codes

Embed youtube video in adobe dreamweaver cc

I am trying to embed a youtube video to my site, I am using DW CC. I have copied the embed code and put it in a div tag but when I try to view from the DW (clicking on live button) the video is not playing. I am getting only a white screen instead of the video. when I try to explore it with google chrome even there it show blank white screen there. Is there any solution to fix this. please help... Some browsers like Chrome won't display embedded YouTube videos when previewed locally. For best results, upload your page and test online.

StageWebView suddenly can't load embed YouTube video

Once we developed app for Mobile Device with Adobe Air, we need embed the Youtube video to the app. For easiest way, we use StageWebView of AIR, so we can directly load Youtube Embed video like a frame.
It used to be working. But from today, it suddenly not working. the video just show the blank screen or "An error occurred while performing this operation." message.
I think Youtube may change some setting of its video pages. The youtube homepage or search page are still working in StageWebView.

I saw this last week - I have never used StageWebView before for displaying video but decided to give it a go.
Just kept getting a black screen in the simulator when trying to run a video from YouTube - I assumed there was some kind of issue running it with YouTube so I looked for another way to do what I wanted.
Have you raised a bug report?

OOB Video Component to embed YouTube videos

Hi,
The OOB Video Component can be customized to use custom player, however there's no documentation which talks about the design_dialog of the video component.
I have a requirement to show YouTube videos / 3rd Party Videos on a page (embeded & overlay) and I would like to know if I can use the OOB component. If so, how can this be configured? If you can provide some pointers or samples it would really help.
Also how to configure video profiles? (I need to support HTML5 browsers with Flash as a fallback)

Embedding of youtube videos is a very different HTML and the video is also not stored in CQ, so there is nothing from the ootb video component that could be leveraged.
I would build a custom component for that. Or you could even use the normal text component and copy&paste the youtube html video snippet (might need configuration on the rte to allow all tags).
Video profiles can be found under http://localhost:4502/etc/dam/video.html (and via the miscadmin, to add/remove video profile pages).

I am facing problems in embedding Youtube player into Air 2.0. I want to use Youtube player APIs to control the player properties. It works fine in IE / Mozzila.
When run as air application, it doesnt work. The player doesnt load

Youtube videos work in AIR (in general). If you show how you
are embedding the video, someone might spot the error.

Unable to Embed YouTube Video

Before I go any further, I did everything there was to do that I read in the support forum. I cannot get the embed working in my Dreamweaver. All my older videos work perfectly. I even copied the iframe from the old video and put it in again and that worked. I cannot seem to get the embedding to work in new installment videos.
Just to make sure, I even used my laptop thinking something was wrong with my computer. One thing I do know. The old videos were put in when I had a Windows 7. I now have a Windows 8. I hate Windows 8. Please help. I'm resorting to using url links and I don't like that.

Embed YouTube video into SCORM (HTML5) using Captivate 7?

Hi there,
I am using Captivate 7 to produce a SCORM compliant HTML5 course - this course includes a video, however when I have tried to upload the video directly, it pauses/doesn't play well in our LMS. As such I wanted to try embedding/streaming the video from Youtube instead. The video is unlisted (as it is an internal course). I've had a hunt of the forums but can't seem to work out how to do this?
Note: When I try going to Video > Insert Video, then Event Video > Already Deployed... entering the Youtube url - It doesn't work and I receive the following message: "Failed to load the video file. The file parth or the URL may be invalid. Do you want to change the file part or the URL". I am using Adobe Captivate 7 version 7.0.1.237 (in case it helps).
Any and all help appreciated.
