Embedded CAN for sbrio 1.0.1 versus embedded CAN for RIO 14
Hi,
I have to send CAN messages using embedded CAN llb in a RT vi running on a sbRIO 9606. If using embedded CAN for RIO 14 I get an error of "transmission queue full" whereas with the embedded CAN for sbRIO 1.0.1 I don't have this error. I run the vi under the same conditions (just changing the llb) and I read the messages with a NI-PCI 8512 in a loop running at 2ms for both cases, sending 19 frames (the sending loop period is variable, but never below 5ms). If I reduce the number of frames I don't have any errors, even with CAN for RIO 14, but I don't understand why I can't send the same number of frames that I am able to send with CAN for RIO 1.0.1 in the same conditions.
What does it change between the two llb? With the new llb, I have to change the way of writing the code (compared to what I was used to do before with the 1.0.1)?

You need Office for Mac 2011 already installed on the machine before any update may be applied.
Run any Office application, Word will do. Under the application name in the menu bar, click About Word. See if the version reported is already 2011.14.1.0 (service pack 1) or later. If it is, you can download the 2011.14.4.4 update (latest) and install that. If it is not up to 2011.14.1.0, then you will need to install that update version before you can install the 14.4.4 release.

Hello,
I am searching for any support considering CANopen functionality applied on single board RIO sbRIO 9606.
There are some tutorials for cRIO using FPGA, but is it possible to translate the known PDOs or SDOs to the format which can be than used with the available Embedded CAN for sbRIO?

that the embedded CAN driver doesn't have the CANopen functionality is clear, but according to the fact that the lower level protocol implementing is usually (CAN) it should be possible to write VI which will allow the usage of CANopen commands combined with the embedded CAN driver for single board RIO. Or?
There are some examples for RIO which do allow CANopen functionality using the CAN module.
Can you please send me additional information considering the basic CANopen master functionality.

I work with sbRIO9606 and two devices connected by NI9693.
Pinout in Table 5 from this manual (Single-Board RIO OEM Devices) shows SMBus at pin 25 and 27.
So there are some questions:
1. Could I make it visible for FPGA IO nodes using 'RMC EEPROM Image Programmer' project?
2. Will this activation keep functionality of NI 9693? These two modules which are connected are still needed.
3. If, then how can I connect physical device, are those pins routed somewhere on sbRIO 9606 ?

The SMBus capabilities are dedicated to the EEPROM functionality. Currrently, there isn't a way to expose the SMBus lines when the NI 9693 RMC is attached, nor is there a general purpose driver to use the SMBus port for communicating with a battery monitoring system or other ICs.
If you need I2C/SMBus capabilities from LabVIEW FPGA, there are several examples and tools network drivers available on ni.com. Depending on the complexity of your battery monitor, I'm sure you can adapt one of the drivers or examples to meet your needs. Unfortunately, when the NI 9693 RMC is attached, it consumes all the available DIO lines on the RMC connector. You could consider the sbRIO-9623 or 9626 as a Single-Board RIO with the RMC connector and 4 additional DIO lines on an additional connector. Or you could export the I2C protocol through one of your C Series modules, if you are using a Digital I/O module that can tristate on a per line basis.

CS4 Suite (all Windows versions) - documentation of XML and pre-configuration of components?
With a view to packaging and deploying CS4 in Microsoft enterprise environments (ie GPO restricted desktops, mandatory user profiles, non-administrative user base, at or near minimum spec hardware) I was wondering if anyone was aware of any documentation, official or otherwise, for pre-configuration or omission of individual components within the CS4 suite in order to more specifically tailor their operation to user requirements. Eg, such as the way Adobe provide a transform generator/editor for Acrobat in its standalone form.
The instructions for performing silent installs with or without the more major components (such as Dreamweaver, Photoshop etc) work fine, and the Adobe CS4 Deployment Toolkit (aka AdobeUberInstaller) deals with a number of omissions in the base installer such ELUA and updates suppression. However there are various options within the applications themselves I would like to change the defaults for at install time (eg suppress Adobe Bridge from prompting to run at startup, address Acrobat's refusal to run until another element of the suite has been run first etc), patches I would like to slipstream rather than apply retrospectively (currently Air, Indesign, Photoshop), and some elements (such as foreign language components and 64bit support) I would ideally like to omit from the source package altogether to keep the size down - 6GB+ to 500 clients is quite an ordeal!
Web resources such as application deployment forums have allowed me to address some of the above, but I would be very interested in the feedback/experiences of this community. I appreciate what I'm asking is somewhat vague but any crumbs of wisdom all add up...

BillThe best is to get the versions in which you have developed/tested. These can be found in MAX under Software, if it is possible provide a link to the NI ftp download URL.
Then export the settings in MAX (for tasks/scales) if you use them and provide a simple app that loads these items into MAX.
For RIO I'm not totally sure but I would create 'Getting started' that outlines what settings (IP/DNS etc.) to get the user started.

Overcoming limit of more than 2147483647 steps in the same direction
I have sbRIO 9601 with module 9512, motor power drive P70360 and step motor T21NRLC-LDN-NS-00. sbRIO works in Scan Mode. The application requires that the motor will continuously work for long time (more than one month) at 600 RPM. Everything would be OK, but after 2147483647 steps (i.e. after ~13 days at 200 steps/rev) motor stops. I think it happens due to issues 323627, 312567 in http://www.ni.com/white-paper/13254/en or something similar. Is this a fatal error for RIO systems with step drives and SoftMotion API? And does this error exist in system based on PXI module like PXI-7332 and NI-Motion API?

I just ran an accelerated test with the 9512 and SoftMotion 2011SP1f1 and got to 5,000,000,000 steps without a fault (and I'm sure I could have gone further). When I rebooted the cRIO, the scan engine did not fault. Based on these results, I would recommend upgrading to SoftMotion 2011SP1f1.

I'm from Brazil, and today I tried to create a Skype Number, because I work offshore, and on the Rig, it is not possible to call numbers with different area codes.
My question is:
I'm from Rio de Janeiro(Area Code 21), but I would need a number from Macaé (Macaé is a city of Rio de Janeiro state), and its code is 22, but I have no option to choose another area code, because 21 is only for Rio de Janeiro city, and I have to select Rio de Janeiro(state), but cannot select the area code. Is it possible to create a number with the Macaé area code (something like +55 22 4002-6663)?

The problem occur when the program execut a [b]find or query :
Rio rio = manager.find(Rio.class, "6610000");
Trecho trecho = manager.find(Trecho.class, "6610000310");
The program return a StackOverFlowError.
I think that the problem was the fetch = FetchType.EAGER. Then, I substituted for FetchType.LAZY.
Gave all right only for Rio rio = manager.find(Rio.class, "6610000");. But for Trecho trecho = manager.find(Trecho.class, "6610000310"); not.
I debug the project and see that the find method was creating several objects of the Trecho before return the true object. This is correct ? Shouldn't it create only the object requested ?
How to I resolve this problem ?
PS: The Java or JPA not support several objects into the memory ?You have setup your mappings with a circular dependency using EAGER fetching in both directions. If your underlying data uses these relationships in a hierarchical fashion then you could be causing a large set of data to be loaded. Based on your mappings it appears you have a parent-children setup all set to EAGER which could involve a large amount of data to be loaded.
If your collections should only result in a fixed set of objects to be returned to populate all relationships and all dependent relationships down the entire tree then there may be a bug. Can you report the exact product and version you are using?

Videos NOR Music will load after SYNC, Please HELP
Hello everyone,
I have an iPad and Recently bought RIO to watch on the iPad.
After it downloaded I could not find it anywhere! So I synced to my iTunes and there it was....after the iPad was done syncing I ejected it....
And NOW the Music folder NOR the iPod apps will open.
In my setting my iPad shows that there is 0 movies and 0 songe.....but when I connect it to my iTunes....it shows all the music and videos are on my iPad!
Someone PLEASE HELP!!!!!!I just wanted to get the question out ASAP....
So here is the breakdown
My 2 year old wanted to watch something new. So i decided to use my iPad and look for a new movie. He saw the preview of RIO and wanted to watch it.
So i downloaded it and once it was finished I went to my main page and opened the videos icon. All my videos were there, but when I looked for RIO it was not there. I even went to the search page and only angrey birds same up (RIO EDITION).
So i was like DANG....walked downstairs and plugged my iPad inot my computer. I opened iTunes and proceeded to transfer purchases. So RIO transfered over to my iTunes on my PC.
Once it was complete, I clicked the eject button and "tried" to open the videos app.....Nothing happened. It went the videos black background screen for like 7 seconds then it automatically exits and returns to the home screen. I was like...WHAT??
I tried and tried again with no luck.
I walked back to my computer and tried to resync and remove all videos and music over and over and over with no luck!
So at the moment, when i try to open either the video or the ipod apps...they just sit at the background screen for about 7 seconds then shuts down and returns to the home screen.
When i go to my settings in my iPad it says there are NO songs and NO videos on my iPad.
When I plug it into my iTunes, it shows that I have 9gb of free space on my 64gb iPad....1180 songs and like 8 movies and 22 tv shows...mostly kids stuff...
So I hope that helps clarify my problem.
I have had this once before, but it fixed itself, I was at work and a few hours later everything was working!
But NOT this time, its just not wanting to play at all

Why does Angry Birds Rio 2 show up on my portable devices but not the iMac?
I have Angry Birds Rio on all my devices and the updates for Rio 2 have been downloaded on both the iPad and iPhone but it still is not showing up on the iMac. I know the updates for each device don't always come out at the same time but Rio 2 has been out for a while. How do I get it to show up on the iMac?
That was it! I had both versions on the iMac but the older one was on my dock and thus the one I kept opening. I removed the older version and put the 2.1.0 on the dock and all is good. Thank you!!

I did the same thing, absolutely no where did it have a price other than £0.00 so I took the chance and purchased avengers and mission impossible, I also did the same for Rio as that was free too, so I received Rio in the post with a receipt saying £0.00, but I also got 2 separate letters saying thank you for pre ordering said movies and that when the titles are released I will be charged £13.99, so that clears it up there will be a full charge, so I suggest if you don't want the movies then get in contact with sky store and cancel them.

Why can't I print embedded images in a Thunderbird E-mail? I just get blank boxes for the images.
I am a copyeditor who receives feedback from my clients re: manuscripts I have edited. They will often sent e-mails that include small screen captures from parts of their style guide or screen captures of the proof that is in question (small sections, like a paragraph or an equation, or a header that needs to be coded/styled differently for HTML). Now, I can see these fine in the e-mail, but when I go to print them out for my reference binder, the embedded images don't print.
Mozilla, I need these to print; they are quite important to my job.
To keep my e-mail from becoming too bloated, I save these important style issue e-mails into a folder on my desktop I call "Print out for binder", queuing them for the day I can print a bunch of them out and arrange them according to subject matter.
Problem is, they are useless if they don't include these illustrative screen captures; blank boxes are worthless to the context.
It is not my printer that is the problem. if I receive a Word doc with these screen captures, they print fine. But if I try to print from T-Bird, no go. Help. (I can't save these e-mails as Word docs either, which might solve the problem; the only options in T-Bird are "Save as file" or "Save as template".)
Thunderbird is a powerful e-mail program, and one I have been using for over a decade. Why can't it perform this function? Please help. Or point me to an add-on. I haven't been able to find one that addresses this seemingly straightforward, common, and simple problem.When you select File(or AppMenu/Print)/Print Preview, do the images appear? Do the images print if you check 'Print background (colors & images)' under File/Page Setup? I don't have any problems printing a message with an embedded image, at least to an xps file.
I devised a workaround that might help, failing a real solution: install [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/unmht/ unMHT] in both TB and Firefox, and then File/Save As MHT in TB. Open the mht file in Firefox, and Print. -
Can't Login to Embedded Web Server for HP Officejet Pro 8600 N911g
I have a HP Officejet Pro 8600 N911g that I am trying to access in order to update the adress book for the scanner but in order to do that I must login. I have never set up a user name or password for it. Is there a default username and password?

Welcome back to the HP forums.
I understand that when you try to access the EWS (Embedded Web Server) for your Officejet pro 8600, you are prompted for a username and password.
Unfortunately there is no default username or password.
On rare occasions this can be fixed by restoring the network defaults.
Go into the Setup menu.
Select the Network sub menu.
Choose Restore Network Defaults.
I have also sent you via private message the steps to reset your printer back to factory defaults.

Is there a format for a file that I can use for attaching a one page document with photos embedded that will open in everyone's email automatically? I've tried PDF and Word, but PDF worked only in Mail. Word worked in nothing. I also tried copying and pasting the document but lost all formatting when just copied and pasted in email. Is there a way to do this?
Are you sure PDF won't work? It should as what you're trying to do is pretty much what it is designed for (PDF - Portable Document Format). On a Mac anywone who receives the file should be able to see it in all its page layout glory by using the app Preview or Adobe Reader. Same on a PC, the file should be viewable as a PDF file using Adobe Reader and probably some other viewer (don't use PCs so not sure what other apps).
What application are you creating the file in and are you sure you're exporting it correctly in PDF format, fonts and images embedded? -

I'm embedding numerous audio files in Dreamweaver CS3 using
the <embed> tag. I'm using CSS to control the box size and
other attributes relating to how the file displays on the page, but
I'd also like to set the parameter "autoplay" to false, and
controller to "true," for all of the audio files. I've been doing
this individually for each file (very time consuming), because I
can't figure out a way to do it with CSS. Is there a way to set

No. CSS is for presentation, but these parameters belong to
the HTML and
have to be written there.
BTW: The 'embed' element is invalid HTML. If you care about
valid markup
and your site doesn't have to be compatible with really old
browsers
like NN 4 or IE 5.5, then you should use the valid method
using 'object'
elements.

I have an embedded application running on a iMX31 (ARM 11) that does fairly high performance analog input (24 bit, 50K samples/second). I use Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 C/C++ for the develoment environment and have currently built versions of the application for Win CE 5.0 and 6.0 without Labview or NI hardware. I have used the NI 9234 with great success on several Labview applications in the past and I'd like to use the 9234 on this embedded application with VS2005 C/C++. The NI documentation hints that I should be able to do this (maybe I'm overly optimistic) and I'm wondering if anyone else has? I've tried the Evaluation versions of Labview Mobile and Labview Touch panel to build a C application using the NI DAQmx base C function inside Visual Studio without success. I can compile and link the ContAcq IntClk LV example project for an x86 platform using NIDAQmx but not for a ARM platform using NIDAQmxbase.lib. I get the same linker error error LNK2019: unresolved external symbol referred to in Knowledge Base Document ID 4HAEE7QQ even though I've set up (or think I've set up ) VS2005 as the KB article indicates.
If anyone has used the C functions and NIDAQmxbase library inside a VS2005 Smart Device project, I'd greatly appreciate your comments.

I have been checking into this for you and have found out that what you are trying to do cannot be done. At least not in the current manner you are hoping for. The internal architecture of DAQmx Base requires the cross-compiling capability of the LabVIEW Mobile Module. While a stand-alone compiler can compile DAQmx Base calls for desktop processors, it cannot compile DAQmx Base calls for ARM.
If your application requirements exclude the LabVIEW toolchain, then the remaining option is the USB Driver Development Kit which is avaliable here, but you will have to contact your local field sales representative to discuss support
options as standard phone and e-mail support are not available for the
NI Measurement Hardware DDK.
