Embedding MP4 in web page

Ok, here's the latest:
I'm trying to embed an MP4 in my webpage that starts
streaming/playing immediately, no pop-up window, and that loops.
This is what i've got:
<embed src="cuts_mpeg.mp4" CONTROLS="imagewindow"
CONSOLE="video" width="380" height="425" autostart="TRUE">
</embed>
function myMPG()
document.write('<embed src="cuts_mpeg.mp4"
CONTROLS="imagewindow" width="380" height="425"
autostart="TRUE"'>
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks!

the parameter in code view would like like this:
'controller','true',
not controller=true
and make sure you have enough height dimension to include
space for the
controller. even if you have the proper parameter, it still
won't show if
there isn't enough height

  • How Do I Play Embedded MP4 In Web Page

    I have an MP4 video (.mp4) that I would like to embed in my
    web page, so that when a user goes to the page, the correct Flash
    Player (v9 update 3?) is detected or installed automatically (via
    user prompt) and then plays the MP4 video. I can't seem to find an
    HTML sample to give me the correct OBJECT and EMBED statement for
    doing so, along with the JS for the Flash Player version detection.
    Could someone please provide sample HTML for this? Thanks!

    Adobe Reader for iPad has no support for MP3 or video files. You would need to use a paid PDF reader like PDF Expert.

  • How to embed mp4 in web page so it will play in Adobe Flash Player?

    I have an mp4 that is wrapped (or published) by an swf. I have successfully embedded the swf in a web page but when I play the video from the web page the quaility is significantly degraded. Unfortunately I have no control over the internals of the swf so what I would prefer to do is to embed the mp4 rather than the swf. I understand Adobe Flash Player supports mp4 since version 9, but I haven't been able to figure out the html to make this happen. Here is the code I am currently using with the swf. Can anyone suggest how to modify this for embedding the mp4?
    <html>
    <object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000"
    codebase="http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=7,0,0,0""http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=7,0,0,0"
    http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab
    width="720" height="400" id="test" align="middle">
    <param name="movie" value="T1S_Opening_Slideshow.swf" />
    <param name="quality" value="high" />
    <param name="play" value="true" />
    <param name="bgColor" value="#FFFFFF" />
    <param name="wmode" value="transparent" />
    <embed src="T1S_Opening_Slideshow.swf"
    width="720" height="400"
    quality="high"
    play="true"
    bgColor="#FFFFFF"
    wmode="transparent"
    type="application/x-shockwave-flash"
    pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer"http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer />
    </object>
    </html>

    I didn't mean to imply the HTML code affects quality (although the qualtiy tag technically does that) . The internal settings in the swf are affecting quality. If I play the mp4 directly the quality is fine. If I play it through the swf wrapper the quality is degraded. I want to take the swf wrapper out of the picture.

  • Embedding into a web page & background sound.

    Hello,
    I am looking for some advise on embedding an adobe edge animation into a web page.
    It's more complex than it sounds unfortunately for me because I don't have any coding knowledge.
    I have a web page with a flash version of the animation. I want to add the edge animation to the same page but only play
    if the device does not have or support the flash player. So, if flash is installed I want the flash version to run. If no flash (ipads, etc) then
    the edge version should play. I know many people choose the other way around but while I am learning edge the flash version is
    much better so I would prefer the flash version to play primarily.
    Onto the sound element. I have background music playing for the flash file (the music is built into the flash animation. I am not sure
    how I can do this with the edge animation. Presummably it would need to be coded into the acutal HTML page with some sort of
    HTML5 tag? But the problem I see here is that if the flash version starts to play the HTML5 version would start to play too in browsers
    which support flash AND HTML5 tags.
    I would appreicate any advise.
    Thanks
    Andrew

    Does anyone know if there is an email address for Edge support? I really need to find a solution for this.
    Thanks
    Andrew

    iphone does not want to play a video (m4v created with qt pro) when it's embed in web page (html tag "embed" with attribute type "video/x-m4v").
    But the SAME video send to iphone with itunes plays!!
    What I'm missing?
    Any idea?
    Thanks.

    does the video conform to these specs:
    H.264 video, up to 1.5 Mbps, 640 by 480 pixels, 30 frames per second, Low-Complexity version of the H.264 Baseline Profile with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats;

  • Firefox sporadically won't display flash embedded within a web page.

    I have Fiorefox 28.0, running on a Mac with Mavericks 10.9.2. Sporadically, Firefox won't display an embedded flash video. I tried running Firefox in Safe Mode (all add-ons disabled). Same thing occurs - won't display the embedded flash on some webpages.
    Here is an example webpage in which this problem occurs:
    http://www.deadline.com/2014/04/nbcs-jimmy-fallon-and-seth-meyers-welcome-stephen-colbert-to-cbs-video/
    I couldn't determine how to attach a file of a screen grab or I would have done so.
    Thanks.

    I can't tell how far the player gets in loading. All I see is a blank white block of space where the player would normally be loaded. I used the term 'embedded' as that seemed the correct term to use. If incorrect, that's only due to my unfamiliarity with the correct terminology of having a flash video within a web page. BTW, I neglected to mention that the same page that Firefox has problems with is displayed fine in Safari. Screen grab attached showing blank space where Safari displays a functional plug-in.

  • Embedded PDF on web page fails to display

    We have a number of PDFs that are shown embedded in IE (versions vary).  This worked fine with Adobe Reader 9.5 but with 10, PDF fails to display.
    Page takes a while to report error.  Error:
    There is a problem with Adobe Acrobat/Reader.  If it is running, please exit and try again.  (103:103)
    I found a few other discussion similar to this in the forum but didn't find a definitive root cause.
    In our situation, we found that if the user launching the web page runs Adobe Reader as standalone first, the error doesn't happen.
    While workaround exists, I am trying to understand the root cause to see if we can correct this for all the users in automated manner instead of
    mandating launching of Reader standalone as a prerequite step.  Quite a few users using this web app.
    Since launching of Reader standalone works, my guess is that some config/setup is done only after first use.  I see that, for example,
    reg keys are added under HKCU on first use.  I don't know why first use from browser differs from first use from standalone though.  Difference in
    reg access?  Enable/Disable browser plug-in produces different behavior so I don't think the setting is on the browser side.  What other factors
    may be in play here?
    All ideas welcome.  Thanks in advance.

    Got a couple follow up questions.  Postiing the response here.
    1.  Please send us step by step method on how to recreate the problem, and the URL of the PDF file that shows the issue.
    * Write a simple console application that does nothing but starting a browser. Browser URL set to any web site with embedded PDF. I believe I used a sample on Adobe's site for last test.
    2. Is everyone in your company experiencing the same issue?
    * Yes, everyone can be affected.
    3. Does the error show up on any PDF or just the embedded PDF?
    * Only embedded.
    4. Does the problem occur with Firefox?
    * Not browser specific.
    5. Do you have any other version of Reader or Acrobat installed on the same system?
    * No, clean test box. Tested with 10.0.0 first. Failed. Then cleaned up install and installed 10.1.3. Cannot repro with 9.5.
    Root cause appears to be Protected Mode. If I disable that, it works.

  • Clicking on embedded links in web pages doesn't work

    On some web pages, clicking on embedded links doesn't take me to the link. Indeed it doesn't take me anywhere at all. It only affects some sites, not all (for example, American Express, but not Yahoo).

    Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

  • Embedding iChat into Web Page

    Hello,
    Is there any way to embed the ichat 'buddy list' into a web page?
    Gary

    Hi,
    Umm, Where to start.
    Any iChat Buddy List is made up of several things that are show graphically to get the final result.
    The Grey metal surround would be all the way around except for the blue and white lines that hold the Buddy info.
    iCons at the bottom for starting the Chat(s) could be lost on any Web Page reconstruction.
    iChat itself then logs into the servers that you use and displays the options you have selected. (Names, Buddy Pics, Status indicators, Status Message).
    These are effectively different queries to the server in question (for one Buddy list)
    I learnt/Found the HTML to query if a Buddy is on line and the bits that make it open an AIM Client (iChat has to be told it is the default AIM client)
    The whole thing
    <a href="aim:goim?screenname=ralphjohnsr&message=Hi!,+I+came+from+your+website,ralphjohnsuk."><img align="right" src="http://big.oscar.aol.com/ralphjohnsr?onurl=http://www.ralphjohns.co.uk//images/RalphOn.gif&offurl=http://www.ralphjohns.co.uk//images/RalphOff.gif" alt="Webmaster iChat Online Status Indicator" border="0"></a>
    This bit makes it launch iChat and join/start a Chat.
    <a href="aim:goim?screenname=
    The bit that follows can be a room name or a Buddy (or myself in this case)
    The following bit makes it send a message
    &message=Hi!,+I+came+from+your+website,ralphjohnsuk.
    The plus symbols get sent as spaces.
    There is a bit about aligning the images to the right and then the Query of the Server if I am on Line.
    The response form this will show one of two pictures
    <img align="right" src="http://big.oscar.aol.com/ralphjohnsr?onurl=http://www.ralphjohns.co.uk//images/RalphOn.gif&offurl=http://www.ralphjohns.co.uk//images/RalphOff.gif"
    That is followed by an ALT text option.
    That is just to produce one Pic to say I am on line or not (with the option to Click and send).
    A Whole Buddy list would need more queries.
    Now presumably that and the other queries could be transferred to Jabber.
    However I have searched in Google to see if there are lists of Jabber Chat rooms to see if the HTML codes are obvious but I can not find any.
    The Tokbox model shows that without creating a Buddy Data base it can Query the various servers (you can set up/link to a GoogleTalk Buddy List as well as AIM and others there) so there must be a Query for the Buddy list as a whole.
    A dynamic table would be javascript based needing potentially the alternating colours.
    You would need two image holders to a line (Status and Buddy pic) not to mention any for Group divisions that may apply.
    I would start by grabbing the javascript files from TokBox and seeing if they may any sense about where they are querying.

  • Please help me load an .flv video that has been embeded onto a web page

    Hello there,
    I was hoping someone on this forum could please help me with one specific problem that I am having. I would like to embed the a flash player into an html page, and load the video from a service that has the streaming video provided.
    This is the context of the situation...
    We have created a site that was to be used on a showroom floor (no internet connection) and loaded the .flv videos at the local root level for the site.
    Now however, we would like it to be an online site. I have been able to use the flash "jw player"to load videos to play using the shadowbox javascript, but when I try to embed it onto a page and have it play, it isn't working and I am not sure why.
    Below is the code that is currently working to load the videos on the local root level.
    Might someone have any ideas on what I need to replace to have it load the videos from the streaming service?
    I would greatly appreciate any assistance that could be provided.  I can also provide a URL if it would help.
    I would GREATLY appreciate any assistance provided.
    <script type="text/javascript" src="swfobject.js"></script>
    <script type="text/javascript">
    swfobject.registerObject("player1","9.0.98","expressInstall.swf");
    </script>
    <object id="player1" classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" name="player" width="640" height="380">
    <param name="movie" value="player.swf" />
    <param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" />
    <param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" />
    <param name="flashvars" value="file=assets/videos/Bob_Peebler.flv&image=images/videoStatic_Peebler.jpg" />
    <object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" data="player.swf" width="640" height="380">
    <param name="movie" value="player.swf" />
    <param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" />
    <param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" />
    <param name="flashvars" value="file=assets/videos/Bob_Peebler.flv&image=images/videoStatic_Peebler.jpg" />
    <p><a href="http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer">Get Flash</a> to see this player.</p>
    </object>
    </object>

    Hello,
    Thanks  a lot for the reply.  However, I am pretty confident that the jw player supports the streaming video option, but as I mentioned that I was able to use it as a popup using the shadowbox javascript before. After doing a bit of investigating on how the videos are hosted, I am using "progressive download" method for these videos.
    I think the problem is that the player.swf is hosted on my website server -  and the videos are then hosted on the media hosting service.  I think that the player needs to be located on the media hosting service, and then embedded onto the page along with where to point to the .flv video.  Does that sound right?
    If so, the paramater I am using to embed the player as I mentioned in my original post is simply:
    <param name="movie" value="player.swf" />
    does the "value" then have to change to the http:// address for the video player.swf that would then be hosted on my video hosting service?
    Little help?
    Please let me know if there is anything I can provide to clarify the issue.
    Thanks
    M

  • TIFF images are shown as blank when embedded in some web pages

    After I upgraded to Snow Leopard, I see blank the TIFF images displayed in some web sites, like for example any patent image in the www.uspto.gov web site.
    This happens on both Safari and Firefox. They both use the QuickTime plugin (I have version 7.6.3).
    However, if I drag and drop the TIFF image and save it in the local hard drive, local applications like Preview display the page correctly.
    It seems to be an issue with QuickTime and possibly the MacBook model (I have a first generation MacBook Air, with the GMA X3100 Intel graphic card).
    Has anybody experienced this bug?

    Any patent image in the www.upsto.gov web site. For example, this link goes to the first page of the U.S. Patent 161,739 Improvement in Transmitters and Receivers for Electric Telegraphs by A.G. Bell:

  • Embedding swf in web page

    I think others have addressed a similar situation and
    resolved by embedding the .flv file into the webpage, using "insert
    Flash Video" feature of Dreamweaver. However, I want to insert my
    .swf because it includes actionscript and includes an FLVPlayback
    with several instances, each referencing a different .flv file, all
    within the same folder. So obviously I can't just insert one .flv
    into my webpage, I want to put the whole Flash application in as
    .swf. It runs great in Flash8 but even when I try just manually
    placing in on the page, it won't run right in browser.
    Any ideas? I need to have the user select from a list of
    videos and only run the selected video. I have an awesome system
    using Dan Carr's extensions to add functionality to the
    FLVPlayback. But I really feel stuck now because I cant' get it
    into my webpage. With Dreamweaver MX couldn't you insert an .swf as
    a Flash Video. Now DW8 will only accept .flv files as Flash Video.?
    Thanks!

    please help me!

    Yes, you can build desktop, tablet and phone layouts for a website all in one Muse project and host the website to Adobe hosting through Business Catalyst or to a third party webhosting provider. The site logic detects the browser and device used by the visitor and automatically redirects to load the appropriate tablet, phone, or desktop layout. There are in-depth tutorials on building a mobile site in Muse - http://www.adobekb.com/creating_mobile_layouts_pt01.html

  • I can not "save as source" an MP4 object web page in Firefox 6 for MAC

    I download MP4 music from VIMEO. When I click the link on their website to download the video it downloads and opens in a firefox webpage. I used to be able to Control click on the open VIMEO webpage window on my MAC and then I could choose "Save as Source" and the video would then save on my desktop as an MP4 file. Now with Foxfire 6.0 when I try to Control click in the window nothing happens. I do not get the little dialog box that allows me to access the Save as Source command.

    I am in the airport in Hong Kong right now and the Internet is very slow. I do not have time to download a full video, but I did start to access one and used the download helper add on and it appeared to be working. I will post the full result when I get home. At this point it appears to be a solution.
