Employe picture in report 6i

hi every body
i have emp table with two columns empid and empname and i save all pictures
on d:\emppictures folder with empid as picture name know i want to display employee pictures in the report with each employee record
kindly any body tell me how i can accomplish this

Hello,
why do you need to load images from operating system? Customer requirement?
The better option without any doubt would be saving images in a column in the database...
Apart from that.... (please separate your phrases.. to understand better the problem)... as I can understand... you have the problem in the report, not in the Form builder? If that's the case.. please, have a look at Reports forum...
(You said that it appears the same image for all employees...? That depends on how you've entered the path..; you can't put a fixed path...)
Any way.. post in reports forum with the code you're using to load images in the report.

  • How to include picture in report

    My report having 4 fields like
    2005total  trend  2006 total   difference  like
    9%    pic  4%      -5%
    7%    pic   7%      0%
    21%   pic   28%     7% 
    depending upon the value in difference field,
    i have to show the picture color
    means if it is 0% then blue circle
               if it is leesthan 0% then greencircle
               if it is greaterthan 0% then redcircle.
    Please give me solution. how to add picture? how to change color based on condition?

    You could add a blanco picture and edit the properties. On the second tab (Picture? I am not sure, I have the Dutch edition), the location of the picture can be set using the formula editor.
    An example of using different pictures for different values:
    IF {Percentage} = 0 THEN ".\blue_circle.png" //meaning: The file blue_circle.png in the same folder as the report will be shown if the percentage is 0%
    ELSE IF  {Percentage} > 50 THEN ".\green_circle.png" //meaning: The file green_circle.png in the same folder as the report will be shown if the percentage is between 0 and 50 %
    ELSE ".\red_circle.png" //meaning: The file red_circle.png in the same folder as the report will be shown if the percentage is between 50 and 100 %

    We need to add company logo for all the reports in SAB B1(Customer report).

    First step
    All your users should have access to the SAP Business One folder on the server
    ServerName\Program Files\SAP\<b>SAP Business One</b>
    Second step
    In the B1 Application you have to open this window
    Administration > System Initialization > General Settings > Path
    Set the Path for the Picture Folder by clicking on the Icon and selecting the Bitmaps folder with SAP Business One under program files.  This would look like the following

    ServerName\Program Files\SAP\SAP Business One\Bitmaps\</i>
    Once you have done this you can add your company logo to the different documents and the user would be able to see the same when they open it.
    Note: You could also set the path for the other documents like Word templates, Excel Folder, etc from here

    Hi i need to include an imagen in my report, but i can't create an extra dynpro for it.
    Let me explain: When you execute your report and you have a write sentence, the report launches a new screen with the text you have written. But this screen is not a dynpro i can edit with screen painter.

    You may have to create a screen from screen painter and call the image there in the
    image control or the custom container.

  • Creating a report with a Picture in Windows 7

    We have Oracle reports 10g (10.1.2.0.2). From Reports Builder, when running any report that has a picture, I keep the picture in : C:\oradev1012\reports\templates and it runs without issue. However, it runs without issue using a Windows XP machine, not Windows 7. When running on Windows 7, and trying to run a local RDF from Report builder, where should I put the pictures so Report builder can see them?

  • Cannot import some pictures: reported as corrupted

    I receive family pictures from my brother. He uses Photoshop. Some JPEG pictures are reported to be "corrupted" and won't import to iPhoto 08, most will. If I put them through my Photoshop Elements and make them PNG, twice the size, but then they will import.
    Why can't iPhoto 'read' the pictures, yet Preview and Photoshop Elements 4 can? I'd sure like to use iPhoto, heck... it's kind of nifty. But at this rate, it's getting a bit annoying with having to rebuild the database thumbnails (black thumbnails) all of the time.
    Primarily, the issue is not being able to import some JPEGs, however.

    Just try opening the files in Preview and then saving them as jpeg - then try import. This issue can arise because PS sometimes adds metadata that iPhoto can' deal with.
    The Black thumbnails can be caused by importing greyscale images - iPhoto supports RGB only. If that's not the issue and the problem is persistent then check your HD for minor errors using Disk Utility.

    Example 1: Image
    Suppose that for each of your employees you have a .bmp file that contains a picture of the employee. In your employee table, you have a column named PICTURE that contains the name of the .bmp file with the employee's picture.
    To generate a report that displays the employees' pictures, you select the PICTURE column in your query. In the Column properties for the PICTURE column, you set Read from File to Yes and specify Image as the File Format. Reports Builder will display the files pointed to by the PICTURE column wherever you have referenced the PICTURE column in your layout.
    Note: If Read from File is set to No, the filenames will be printed instead of the pictures.

    The above code executes well with no problem at all!
    As you can see the file to which i create and save and open my pdf report is
    AssignedDialyzer.pdf.
    The column headers of table in pdf report from c# windows forms using iTextSharp are
    "Reprocessing Date","Patient Name","Dialyzer(Manufacturer,Size)","No.of Reuse","Verification" and
    "DialyzerID".
    However the problem i am facing is after execution and opening of document is my
    column headers in table in pdf report from
    c# and datas in it all appear in bold.
    I have browsed through net regarding to solve this problem but with no success.
    What i want is my pdf report from c# should be similar to following format which i was able to accomplish in vb6,adodb with MS access using iTextSharp.:

    I know that there has to be another way to solve my problem.I have browsed many articles in net regarding exporting sql datas to above format but with no success!

    If so Then Can anyone tell me what modifications must i do in my c# code given above so that my pdf report from c# windows forms using iTextSharp will look similar to image/picture(pdf report) which i was able to accomplish from

    We have custom Forms,Form Libraries,Reports and Workflows.

    5) Compile all the forms using the command like below(example command is shown below or f60 gen commands or frmcmp.sh utility) in the respective custom form paths,
    this will generate the .fmx's.

    So,i am not clear on this.You can still use RDF files in R12, and just follow the approach you mentioned above, and you do not have to migrate them to XML publisher (though it is recommended, but this can be done after the upgrade as an enhancement task).
    For custom workflow, you need also to do the same thing, open them using workflow builder and make sure they work in R12 (correct the code if required and save them again in R12 once they work properly).

    Using ALV, you can upload logo into report like this:
    For those who wish to upload and use a picture in your ALV abap reports.
    Steps for uploading Logo :-:
    1.  Goto the transaction OAER
    2.  Enter the class name as 'PICTURES'
    3.  Enter the class type as 'OT'
    4.  Enter the object key as the name of the logo you wish to give
    5.  Execute
    6.  Then in the new screen select Standard doc. types in bottom window
         Click on the Screen icon 
         Now, it will ask for the file path where you have to upload the logo
    7.  Now you can use this logo in REUSE_ALV_COMMENTARY_WRITE
    or 
    Import Logo and Background Picture for Reporting
    In this step, you can import a customer-specific logo and a background picture into the R/3 System. These will be displayed in the header area of reports in HR Funds and Position Management.
    From the SPRO: 
    HR Funds and Position Management --> Dialog Control --> Customize Reporting Interface --> Import Logo and Background Picture for Reporting.
    Activities
    1. Enter the Name of your logo/background picture as an object key in the initial screen.
    2. Make sure that the class name is PICTURES, and the class type is OT.
    3. Choose Execute.
    4. Double-click the document type Picture on the Create tab page.  A dialog box will appear in which you can enter the path in which the logo/background picture can be found.
    5. Enter the path and choose Open.  The logo will be uploaded into the current R/3 System. If the logo/background picture is to be transported into other systems as well, choose Transport.
    6. Return to the initial screen and repeat the procedure after having entered the Name of your background picture as an object key.
    Please note that the logo/background picture can only be displayed in ALV-based reports with an HTML header. Manually programmed reports such as business distribution plans are not based on the ALV.
    If you have selected several initial objects, ALV-based reports in HR Funds and Position Management will automatically use a hiearchical-sequential display. A logo is not displayed here either. Note also that the logo cannot be printed (see print preview in program).
    Make sure that the logo does not exceed a height of 100 pixels because it would mean that the header of the report will be scrollable.

    I had follow your step, create a new variable set for the cost center at GS11.
