Print a IMAGE in a REPORT

I need to print a IMAGE (hosting in the SE78 transaction store) in a REPORT.
is it possible????
Wait your responses. See you.

Hi,
Using ALV, you can upload logo into report like this:
For those who wish to upload and use a picture in your ALV abap reports.
Steps for uploading Logo :-:
1.  Goto the transaction OAER
2.  Enter the class name as 'PICTURES'
3.  Enter the class type as 'OT'
4.  Enter the object key as the name of the logo you wish to give
5.  Execute
6.  Then in the new screen select Standard doc. types in bottom window
     Click on the Screen icon
     Now, it will ask for the file path where you have to upload the logo
7.  Now you can use this logo in REUSE_ALV_COMMENTARY_WRITE
or
Import Logo and Background Picture for Reporting
In this step, you can import a customer-specific logo and a background picture into the R/3 System. These will be displayed in the header area of reports in HR Funds and Position Management.
From the SPRO:
HR Funds and Position Management --> Dialog Control --> Customize Reporting Interface --> Import Logo and Background Picture for Reporting.
Activities
1. Enter the Name of your logo/background picture as an object key in the initial screen.
2. Make sure that the class name is PICTURES, and the class type is OT.
3. Choose Execute.
4. Double-click the document type Picture on the Create tab page.  A dialog box will appear in which you can enter the path in which the logo/background picture can be found.
5. Enter the path and choose Open.  The logo will be uploaded into the current R/3 System. If the logo/background picture is to be transported into other systems as well, choose Transport.
6. Return to the initial screen and repeat the procedure after having entered the Name of your background picture as an object key.
Please note that the logo/background picture can only be displayed in ALV-based reports with an HTML header. Manually programmed reports such as business distribution plans are not based on the ALV.
If you have selected several initial objects, ALV-based reports in HR Funds and Position Management will automatically use a hiearchical-sequential display. A logo is not displayed here either. Note also that the logo cannot be printed (see print preview in program).
Make sure that the logo does not exceed a height of 100 pixels because it would mean that the header of the report will be scrollable.

  • Question about printing an image/control Using Report Generator

    The attached VI is an example of creating a report from a control or image. My problem is that when the control (xy graph) gets too large in the vertical direction it clips the image but, the horizontal is scaled to the width of the report.
    First question is why does it scale in the horizontal and not the vertical? See the Test.pdf for what I am talking about.
    Second, is it possible to control this behavior (edit/create an alternate for the Append Control Image to report or the Report VI's)?
    I have found many work around but ultimately it comes back to; why automatically scale one direction but not the other?
    For this application I don't mind that the graph is scaled down in the horizontal I just wish it would do the same thing in the vertical axis (I don't even want it to be a 1 to 1 zoom ratio, just fill the avalible report space).
    Thoughts?

    I agree all of the workarounds have limitations. One workaround, that I'm not sure if you have tried yet is change the numeric constant from 50 to 20 (I attached a picture showing which constant I am talking about). This seems to fix the issue just because the image never becomes larger than the report page itself.
    Let me know if that option creates any problems for you as well.

  • Print Image in Oracle Report

    I have an scan image in my report. I can see the image in the Layout editor but when the report runs all that comes out is a blank piece of paper. The image does not print.
    The version of reports is 2.5. Does anyone have any idea why the image does not print.
    Thank You
    JK

    Hi
    If you are using a scan image (which is a bit map)in rep 2.5 and run them through oracle applications 11 and below you may have do lot of system level programming to support bit map images, because oracle apps 11 and below are charter based they do not support bit map. There may be a work around I had been trying for the past 2 years. But with apps 11i and rep6i this is possible.

  • Resize and print a large image in a report

    A current project I'm working requires that a "report" be printed out for every "part" produced.
    Each "part" is photographed and a high quality (large) .jpg file is
    generated and cataloged on the hard drive.  A report with this
    image is then printed and shipped with the product as part of a QA
    process.
    Initially I used a command line argument to have Irfanview print the
    image only.  This was so easy.  Even printing in Landscape
    was simple.  Of course then I realized I would probably need a
    little more information than just the image.
    Looking at some examples of report generation and reading some of the
    problems others have had in the past, I figured it might be good to ask
    before I go stumbling around in the dark.
    The original images are 2288x1712 in size.
    Is there any way to auto resize an image to "fit" onto a printed report?
    The only way I can think to do is to experiment with different sizes
    until I find something that fits and looks alright, then use either
    IMAQ tools or an Irfanview command to resize the image before appending
    it to the report.
    If anyone has any tricks for this one, I'd love to hear them.
    Patrick Allen

    Here, but like I said, it's a very stupid VI. It doesn't do any avareging or smoothing and it has no mathematical optimization (assuming that there is any). It just removes some of the elements. This has been good enough for displaying images, but might not be good for anything else, because you lose a lot of details.
    Try to take over the world!

    Run a calibration on the printer.
    On the printer touch the wrench, system setup, print quality, color calibration calibrate now.

  • PDF Printing with images

    Hello all-
    I was wondering if it is possible to create a PDF document with images from a report that has images, through the FOP. I have tried this on APEX 3.2.1 and APEX 4.0.1, but with no success. I installed FOP in a standalone OC4J that I have installed on my PC and this works fine. I am using the Demonstration Application to test creating the PDF with images by trying to print page 23 - it is a report with images. I get a PDF report, but the image column is blank - no image, no errors. Has anyone been able to accomplish this?
    Thanks in advance,
    Greg

    Hi,
    yes you can, this tool allows you to create FOP templates with images (look at the examples)
    http://www.java4less.com/fopdesigner/fodesigner.php?info=guide
    You can of course create your own FOP templates without this tool, there is a XSL-FO tag to do that, you must make sure the images are available to the print server, either by referencing images on the file system or deploying the images in the print server.

  • Using Dynamic Images in PDF Reports

    There are a number of threads in the forum where we talked about dynamically including images in PDF reports before. In order to illustrate one technique you can use for doing this, I put together a sample application that illustrates how to dynamically include images that are stored in BLOB columns. I installed the application on apex.oracle.com and made it available for download and local install. You can find the link and login information for this application as well as the download link here:
    http://marcsewtz.blogspot.com/2008/06/one-question-about-pdf-printing-feature.html

    Based on a discussion we had today in another thread, I think it makes sense to add to this thread that the XSL-FO snipped used to get BI Publisher to render images is used when referencing images in a report column, e.g. you included them in your RTF layout using the BI Publisher Desktop Insert->Table option. In this case, the column is referenced with “value-of select”:
    <fo:instream-foreign-object content-type="image/jpg">
    <xsl:value-of select="LOGO"/>
    </fo:instream-foreign-object>
    On the other hand, if you want to dynamically include a company logo, or other data that’s not necessarily repeating, e.g. there’s only one value, then you would use the BI Publisher Desktop Insert->Field option . And you would reference your field as follows:
    <fo:instream-foreign-object content-type="image/jpg">
    <?LOGO?>
    </fo:instream-foreign-object>
    So in this case LOGO refers to either a single-value field, or a single-row report column value.

  • When print as image doesnt fix it, what next?

    Hi.
    I have a very weird issue.I have a bunch of pages in separate pdf files (reports and solidedge drawings printed with PDF creator). When I merge them (using either itextsharp or adobe acrobat 9 pro) everything looks fine on screen. But when I print the document, a small portion of text goes missing on ONE page only (please note that this page is twice in the document, and the first one prints fine). But now the weird part, if I print ONLY the page that had some text missing, it prints fine. Since this is part of an automated process, I cannot rely on reprinting the page with missing text.
    As mentionned in other threads, I tried the print as image option, but with no luck. We also tried different drivers, also with no luck.
    Any idea?
    Thanks in advance for your help.

    B.U.M.P. to the top ... still wondering!?!?

  • Showing dynamic and unknown number of images in SSRS report

    I am using SSRS 2008.  I need to display an unknown number of unspecified images on the report.
    Basically I have a webpage, where the user selects a specific ID (ex. 24) from a dropdown and then click "View Report".
    The report should then display any images, associated with that ID.  The only thing I know about the images, is the path to where the images are stored.  The path is kept in a database, so I should be able to retrieve the path ok.
    But then how do i get the report to display the images, when I do not know the name or number of images?
    Please help.

    Hi dukie4lif,
    According to your description, you have a report to display images selected by users. Now your issue is, the users select a specific ID to get images, but you only have the path of images stored in your database. Is my understanding correct?
    For your requirement, if the users want to get images by selecting a specific ID, this ID must be stored in database and associated with the path of those images. Otherwise the database can never query any records with this ID if it doesn’t have any ID stored.
    Now we need to go to your database, create one more table or add one more column in the table which have your path stored to store those IDs, and let them associated with those path. Use a parameter in this report for users selecting IDs. Then your goal will
    be achieved.

    Jeyakanthan

    Hello Jeyakanthan,
    I would like to draw your attention to the enhancements we delivered within Aging Report in 2007 version and plan for 8.8 release.
    The primary enhancement in 2007 version is reflecting new concept of Internal Reconciliation with more convenient backward reporting.
    Within the 8.8 release ...
    - when you generate the aging report you can group the report by customer or sales employee in the customer receivables aging report, and by vendor or buyer in the vendor liabilities aging report;
    - when the aging report has been generated, you can view multicustomer/multivendor detailed information in the aging report window. There is no need to double-click each customer/vendor row to view the details.
    We would strongly to recommend you to upgrade to 2007 version or join the ramp-up of 8.8 release soon.
