Employee Determination Techniques based on Territory in Business Trnsction.

Dear all,
If I want to determine a territory based on customer, and Employee based on determined territory what configuration do I need to do?
I am planning to do the following configuration for Opportunity Management, please suggest me whether my understanding is correct or not.
Based on Rules defined in the territory for, customers will automatically assigned to the territory if the attribute value range matches.
Using Access Sequence 0030-Territory Mgmt user for the Customer (Sales Prospect) partner function in Partner determination procedure.
I believe this access sequence determines relevant territory based on Customer Attributes.
Once the territory determines in the Opportunity, based on territory I want to determine assigned Employee responsible.
How can I do this?
Please suggest that how can we achieve this. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Raghu,
There is  some steps to determine the employee responsible for a territory.
You have to define the oganisational model, define the territory, and the partner procedure linked to your activity type (opportunity...)
1- you create organisational model (PPOMA_CRM)
2- you define positions and affect employees to thoses positions
3- SPRO: Customer Relationship Management
Master Data
Territory Management
Assign Partner Function to Assignment Function Category
Put there the Id of your patner funtion you want to use and TERR AFC 0000 and (if CRM 7.0) the Rel cat BUR011
4- define your patner procedure and link it to your activity type (use the best practice for territory setup to do that)
3- create your territory
4- affect rules and positions (then employees will be affected automatically)
Do not forget to indicate the partner function in front of each employee affected to the territory (the choice list of this field come from the customisation you made the step before)

    Hi Aakshi,
    Have you checked to ensure that the territory structure is maintained correctly and that the partner you entered into the transactions fits the criteria?
    Access sequence 0030 is looking at the Sold-To partner function in the transcation. Can you please confirm that this is the correct partner you are trying to determine an employee from?

  • Sales Rep determination based on Territory in CRM 7.0

    Hi,
    We are trying to get Sales Rep based on territory attributes ( BP, COUNTRY, POSTAL CODE, SALES AREA and one cutom attribute). I have set all the attributes using rule builder for a territory.
    But when I create sales order, using the values which are existing in Territoy, the sales rep is not determined. Infact the territory it self is not determined.
    In debugging oberved one error saying:
    1.  Error occurred during the processing of table[BP_BP_COUNTRY,BP_BP_GUID,BP_BP_POST_CODE  ( In class method : CL_CRM_FDT_API2 : MASS_EXECUTE).
    2. No match found for the given context. (Don't why this error has come eventho I gave the exact values as in territory)
    Can you please let me know what are all the steps we need to do to determiine Sales Rep based on territory in CRM 7.0.

    Hello Sandeep,
    You said you have added custom attribute, make sure you have implemented badi for custom attribute and also you have used same selection group for all attributes which you have specified in your question.

    Hello Elie,
    I am not sure on it,However have you tried creating a context with combination of Business Group and Person Type using merging,
    business_group_id || "_"|| person_type_id And structures would be something like 80_2112 Business Group id = 80 and Person Type id=2112.
    It may resolve your issue if this works out.

    How can we automate the Depreciation keys based on production for business u2013 this is currently not an optimised process if we expect business to manually change the keyu2019s on a monthly basis.
    The end user updates the table, transaction AO25, manually on month end after the production calculations are completed. The question is, is it possible when the PP is completed, that the system updates the Period Unit table for that period?

  • Employee determination in an account from Territory.

    Hi everyone,
    We have a requirement in one of our projects where while we create an account, system should pick-up the employees for each of the relationship categories from "Territory Management". We have done this for Transactions but not for Master Data.
    Now, what we have done in the system for this is as follows:
    1. Created a rule for account (through which the territory would get determined- Based on the Postal code).
    2. Created a territory and assigned that rule and employee to it via position.
    3. Now, when I create a new account with the Postal code(as stated in rule) , after running a background Job(se38), executing program: CRM_TERRMAN_PROC_REL in the background, the territories are getting determined.
    4. But on the basis of the territory the employees are not getting determined in that account( as a relation ship category - Has employee as)
    I have 2 questions on this :
    1. Can we do some settings so that the territory gets determined while Creating an account without running a background job everytime?
    2. How do we determined the employees automatically while creating account using this territory?

    you can use CRMD_TERR_ACCREL to get the BP assigned to territories. pass the GUID in CRMM_TERRITORY to get number.

  • Employee determination on the basis of Org.Unit

    Hi expert,
    I'd like to retrieve the employee responsible for a task from the organizational unit:
    In the business scenario i've a person that, for each org unit, is in charge to fulfill this task; the expected behaviour would be that while creating a task, the employee responsible is automatically filled with the person, that for the identified org unit, is responsible.
    I've set the access sequence "0009: organizational data employee for an organizational unit." in correspondence of the partner function Employee responsible; Now i don't know how to link that person to the org unit. Do i have to use position before?

    You would need to create a new access sequences based on organizational data.  Then you would also need to use a organizational data determination rule to determine which org unit/position should be used in the sequence.
    If this can't work, then you need to implement the partner determination BADI (COM_PARTNER_BADI) to build your source determination logic so that it meets your needs.

  • How to determine output based on the content of purchase order

    I've a typical requirement at my present project. With vendor X we have punchout catalogs. while creation of shopping cart, we are not allowing the user to mix catalog items and non catalog items into the same shopping cart. Once the shopping cart all shopping carts are automatically coverted into PO.
    Now the challenge we are facing is, if the PO is created based on items from catalog, we want to send such PO via XML interface to the vendor. If the PO is created based of items which are free-form, we want to send such PO via Smartform email attachment.
    As this condition can only be determined at runtime, I'm finding a challenge to configure this. In both PO cases, vendor is same but the content of the PO is different. One contains all items that are catalog based and other contains items which are non catalog.
    Can someone help me find solution for this issue.

    As an alternative to this BAdI, you can control document output via determination technology.

  • How to Determine Quarter based on Fiscal Posting Period

    Could you please help me on this issue.
    I have a select option SO_PRD FOR S630-SPBUP. I know the logic to determine the fiscal period by using the FM DATE_TO_PERIOD_CONVERT.
    Now I will fetch the data from following tables EINE, EINA,S630, T009, A017,  EQUP.
    After the fetching my internal tables will be having data on of them is PRICE. Now I want to display the price for each period which I can do easily.  But there is another requirement where I need to calculate the average price for the quarter. For example if I enter 01/2009 to 02/2009. This belongs to 1st quarter and I need to fetch all the data from table based on the periods entered in the selection screen. SO I got the values for 01 & 02. But during quarter price it should also include 03/2009. Is there any FM available to determine the quarter periods based on the fiscal epriod. I do not want to do hard coding for this and system should automatically determine the quarters based on the dates entered in the selection screen.

    There is interface whose message flows as mentioned below.
    System A <=> System B <=> System c
    BPM: Receive -> sync send 1 -> sync send 2 -> async send
    System A sends the sync message to System B, System b response as request to System c and System C
    response as response to System A
    Receiver/interface determinations:
           i: RD/ID: System A to IP
          ii: RD/ID: IP to System B  (Operation mapping from IP to System B)
         iii: RD/ID: IP to system C  (Operation mapping from IP to System C)
    No conditions in Receiver/interface determination
    My query is how IE determines after i:RD/ID execution it should go to ii/iii: RD/ID ?
    Is it based on Message interface(Message type) i.e Receiver IP message interface should be similar to sender
    IP message interface ?
    Otherwise based on the sequence of creation of RD/ID in Configuration scenario ?

    Source Mesage interface in 2nd RD/ID is not dependent on previous target Message interface of RD/ID. Both interfaces can be any message interfaces ?
    So you are asking me if it's possible - then I would say yes.
    Let consider this - You have received a message in the BPM and this message has to be called on two different systems synchronously. In this case Both the synch step will have the Source interface as the message received in BPM correct? Does the 2nd Synch step Source Interface is dependant on 1st Synch step Target Interface? - NO.
    I hope it clears a bit.

    Hello Priyanka,
    While using N-step item level SC WF, you have to use BBP_WFL_APPROV_BADI for agent determination. This badi gets called everytime when shopper changes SC or approver takes action on it. So after every change done to SC, approvers are determined.
    Follow the listed steps:
    1) As per your logic, for each item first determine the approvers at each level & assign them approval index. Arrange them in ascending order of their approval index at item level.
    2) Now its possible that you have multiple approvers, multiple item at each level. For sending SC for approval, you will have to generate Approval_object_guid for each approver.  For this you have to find out a criteria for generating Approval guid.
    Eg:
    SC has 3 items then, if for any 2 items product category is similar then approvers will be similar at a particular level. Similarly for different Product Category, different approvers are determined. So you can consider 'Product Category' & 'Approval index' as a criteria to club approvers at each level.
    3) Use function module ''BBP_WFL_DIN_APP_OBJ_GET' to generate approval guid based on criteria & to update badi parameter 'item_approval_obj'.
    4) Update badi parameters 'Approval_table' and 'Item_approval_table'.
    5) Once SC is approved by all, set 'no_further_approval_needed' flag.
