    The hierarchy assignment field is used especially in customer hierarchy levels to transfer the data to CO and sales information system.While maintaining customer hierarchies for higher level nodes we will maintain the level numbers here. for example your customer having 4 levels for every higher level node we will assign the corresponding level number so that system will  pass the data to controlling.

    I would like to know where I can create a matchcode for this field as I have read the following:
    Group key
    If the customer or the vendor belongs to a group, you can enter a group key here. The group key is freely assignable.
    If you create a matchcode using this group key, group evaluations are posible
    I would also like to know if in the reports of sales orders/quotations it could appear.

    Mostly in Inter Company Process, this field will be used to identify your business partner.  You can create multiple business partner in IMG path -- Enterprise Controlling --> Profit Center Accounting --> Preparation for consolidation --> Read Purchase Orders / Sales Orders --> Identify Affiliated Companies

    Account assignment Group -Take a drop down & maintain the appropriate. This is very important to be maintained, else it will give an error to release the billing document to accounting.

  • Add a new tab to General data in XD01

    Hi,
    I want to add a new tab to General data in XD01. I came across some BADI's(CUSTOMER_ADD_DATA, CUSTOMER_ADD_DATA_CS) which can be used to add pushbuttons(like General Data, Sales Area) and inside that we were able to add tabs. But i need to add a new tab inside General Data Button.
    Is there any Screen Exit to do this?

    Date should be after the (MRP2 tab in Material master Planned Delivery (Calendar day) +  GR Processing Time (Working days))
    Example:-
    For materials A from Materials master days are two.
    Thant means 16u2019Th March (consd'g 14'th march) we can enter data in CNS0 as in Planned Gds mvm tab under general data tab

  • Pass data between customer master enhancement screen ALV and BADI

    Hello
    I currently have my custom screen on customer master working. I have an ALV that I display on the custom tab that I created on customer master. It's an editable ALV so the user can change values on it and then when they hit "Save" on the customer master I need to have these values transferred over to an external system using an RFC-JCO communication. I got all of this to work but I still don't know how to pass values from my ALV screen to the GET_DATA method of CUSTOMER_ADD_DATA_CS BADI or for that matter any methods of the BADIs involved.
    Right now to pass values from the BADI to my custom screen I simply use SET PARAMETER/GET PARAMETER combinations but I cannot keep using that when I have over 1000 values to pass over.
    I looking for this so that I can perform some data validations on my ALV fields when the user hits enter after typing the values. Also, to check whether anything was changed or not - to set or not to set the 'fields changed' flag in the BADI, etc.
    Any help would be appreciated. Will award points for useful info.

    Are these details not available on the Std. Customer Screen ?
    Or you want some additional data. BTW in the method GET_TAXI_SCREEN you won't find access to the Customer data. For this you have to implement the method(s) GET_DATA and/or SET_DATA.

    The purpose of IBAN :Internationl Bank account number .The IBAN's primary purpose is to facilitate cross-border inter-bank routing and avoid routing errors.
    it is used to as reference when making payment or trasnfering amount to bank sin different countires
    Bank type : Internal descriptions of the banks , it cna be used to clasiify different type of bank accounts
    ex, when there are sevarl banks, a particular bank can be used to deposit euro , remitances, transfers , dollar different

    I have a problem here. There is no country IN in the taxes in billing doc tab in sales area data. What is the settings for getting the same in customer master record?

    Hi Chetan,
               Go to the transaction XD02 then enter your Customer Number which is giving problem then go to the Sales Area Data-->Billing Documents Tab,there you check whether you have entered the tax detailes or not,
    If not entered , enter the tax detailes.
    -->If the tax detailes not coming in the Customer master >Sales Area data> Billing Documents tab
    -->Also check the settings related to between Country (IN) and Tax Condition type (Tax Category) in the transaction OVK1
    -->If the Tax condition type not assigned to the country IN assign the tax type to the country IN in the transaction OVK1.
    -->Check OVK3 transaction also.

    In CM, there's ETM data except general data, sales area data & company code data. Suppose CM has three data only: general data, etc. Why does CM have ETM data? What does ETM data mean? What's the usage of it?

    Dear Cathy,
    SAP has given us the options for industry specific data for the customers. Apart from General, Company code and Sales area data, ETM data is used basically in Engineering , and construction industry.
    ETM is acronym for Equipement and Tool management.. You will get all details in the SAP help link

    I have come across a requirement where the business wants to capture the date on which their customer had registered their TIN Number.
    I know the field to capture the VAT / TIN No. on the customer master -> Control Tab.
    Not sure where to capture the date of registration of TIN number..

    In CIN details of customer master you have the fields CST/LST numbers. You can use those fields as per your client requirement as mentioned in the below screen shot.If
    If you are not using this fields, then use any unused fields in the customer master.

  • Company Code data in Customer Master

    In which scenarios, the customer master will be created only with general data and sales area data.
    Why in such scenarios the company code data is not included.

    Business might have clients/Cusotmers exist across the country or with various branches. But Procurement & payment of procured goods will be done only by Head Office, not by the branch offices.
    in such case, Head Office treated as Sold to, Bill to & payer, where as all branches treated as Ship to. So these branch offices need not have Company Code data maintained.
    All or Few branches may not have access to place the order.  Even if Sold to party is different to Payer, then there is no need to maintain Company Code data for those Sold To.
    This is very normal in any business.
