Empty document in communication channel
Hi Expert!
I need your help. I have a problem with loading file with an old interface and I need to understand why...
No exist messagges about the error in monitor.
I only find the follow messagge in channel log:
Channel CC_123_ABC_Snd: Empty document found - proceed without sending message.
I've check all data convertion and are right. I suppose that the problem is in .xsl convertion file.
exist a method for debug the convertion?
Best regards
Anima
Anima ,
This is not an error.
The source file is not having any data in it and thats why the channel log shows
Channel CC_123_ABC_Snd: Empty document found - proceed without sending message.
Also the Comm Channel must be having tickmark for the field Process empty file checkbox (assuming FILE communication.)

AdapterMonitoring: Empty communication channel list
Hi out there,
i'm trying to create a RFCAdapter-Sender in SAP XI without success. I will find out the error and go to "Component Monitoring" -> "Display" (All) -> "Adapter Engine" -> "Communication Channel Monitor" But here is no communication channel shown. I have created my RFC-Sender-Adapter accordingly to a blog and the integration directory show the status of the adapter is active, but if i create a RFC-Destination (Registrated Programm) and test , than i get every time the error, that the programm id is not registred. I have no idea - i think i trydeverything to find out the reason....
can anyone help me to find the right log-files or give tips what else i can do ?
Thanks a lot
Andréthought it would be of helpful to you...esp regarding the program id

"Empty document Found" error while sending a text file
Below is the error I'm getting while I'm trying to send a txt file using a fiel adapter.
Channel FILE_TLE_Sender_SalesOrder_CC: Converted complete file content to XML format.
Channel FILE_TLE_Sender_SalesOrder_CC: Empty document found - proceed without sending message.
File "/data/TLE/XS1/inbound/850/Test_SalesOrder_3064_12-15-10.txt" deleted after processing.
On the Communication Channel this is what I have:
Recordset Name: DOCUMENT_ROOT
Recordset Structure: DOC_HEADER,1,PO_HEADER,1,TAX,,FREIGHT,,SPECIAL_SHIP,,DOCUMENT_NOTE,,SHIP_TO_ADDRESS,,PRODUCT,,LINE_SHIP,,LINE_ITEM_NOTE,,ASSOC_LINE,,ORDER_MEMO,,DOC_TRAILER,1
Key Field Name: keyfield
DOC_HEADER.fieldNames Value: keyfield,Source_System,Source_SUB_System,Source_Doc_Type,Source_Doc_Gen_Date,Source_Doc_Gen_Time,Source_Company,Source_Division,Source_Party_ID,Source_Ship_Location,Source_Sell_Location,Event_Name,Application_Program_File,Application_Program_Name,Destination_System,Destination_SUB_System,Destination_DOC_Type,Destination_Company,Destination_Division,Destination_Party_ID,Destination_Ship_Location,Destination_Sell_Location,Interchange_Control_Number,Group_Control_Number,Document_Control_Number,Date_Translated,Time_Translated,Primary_Key

DOC_HEADER.keyFieldValue Value: DOC_HEADER
DOC_HEADER.lastFieldsOptional Value: YES
DOC_HEADER.endSeparator Value: 'nl'
Then I have same pattern for PO_HEADER, TAX and so on....
Can someone tell me why this error is happening? I'm using the same exact parameters in another XI environment and there's no error there.> Channel FILE_TLE_Sender_SalesOrder_CC: Empty document found - proceed without sending message.
> Can someone tell me why this error is happening?
Maybe your source file is empty?
This is exact what the error message says. -
Empty Document Found: Problem due to FCC
My scenario relates to a Sender File Adapter and a Receiver IDoc Adapter. My Outbound Message Type / Data Type has multiple Complex elements which I later replicated to only three(3) Complex elements to simplify checking the issue. The elements defined in IR are as follows:
1.EDI_DC: Element occuring once with multiple fields
2.E2IDKU1: Element occuring 0..unbounded with multiple fields
3.E2EDKO3: Element occuring 0..unbounded with multiple fields
IDirectory has a Sender File Adapter has a Communication channel with the following specifed in FCC:

When I run the above file contents with the FCC RecordSet as follows, the Payload is empty and I receive a message that: Empty Document found. Proceed without sending message
RecordSet Structure: EDI_DC40, 1,E2IDKU1,,E2EDK03,
When I run the above file contents with the FCC RecordSet as follows, the Payload is correctly formed and I receive my message in the Integration Engine and can see it in SXMB_MONI:
RecordSet Structure: EDI_DC40, 1,E2IDKU1,2,E2EDK03,1
I want to be able to specify an asterisk "*" in RecordSet Structure as the file contents can vary for KeyFields E2IDKU1 and E2EDK03.
I have seen various messages in SDN referring to checking the File contents and FCC and I have already done so without any results. This feature has been widely used in PI. Is there a change in PI 7.0. We are currently running PI 7.0 / SP12. Please advise.
Channel <Channel Name>: Empty document found. Proceed without sending message.
Please note that as stated before that if I change the RecordSet Structure and DO NOT specify an asterisk "*", I do not get the "Empty document found message" and the message actually appears in Integration Engine with a payload.
Thanks in advance for your input.

FCC problem: Empty document found. Proceed without sending message
Hi all,
I am doing FCC to FCC scenario.
In that I am getting the following message in Communication channel Monitoring.
<b>Channel CC_File_FILBAS009_Sender</b>: Entire file content converted to XML format
<b>Channel CC_File_FILBAS009_Sender</b>: Empty document found. Proceed without sending message
File "/temp/xidelivery/send/FILBAS009_input.txt" archived after processing
and My File structure is as follows..
RS
-HEADER
Field1
Field2
Field3
-DATA
Field4
Field5
Field6
-TRAILER
Field7
Field8
Field9
FCC Parameters are:
RecordsetName : RS
HEADER.fieldFixedLengths : 5,1,5
HEADER.fieldNames : Field1,Field2,Field3
HEADER.keyFieldName : Field2
HEADER.keyFieldValue : 'H'
HEADER.endSeparator : 'nl'
In the same way I gave conversion parameters to DATA and TRAILER also.
Can any one tell me what is the problem?
Regards,
Pavanihi pavani,
excuse me about my previous reply.
I was just checking your FCC parameters. I see fieldseparator missing and also is it possible to paste sample input data.
I fieldsepartor is also not necessary since you have fiexedlengths. Since you say FCC to FCC and you paste the receiver FCC parameters

Convrtd to Invterval Part- ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel
Hi all,
I had a table as Interval Partitioned. In order to create XML- Xpath indexes on it, I converted it to Range Partitioned table.
I am able to create the XPATH indexes but I get the error: ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel
- When I revert the code to Interval Partitioned without the XMLIndex, it works fine(although takes time as no XML Index)
- When I convert table to non partitioned table, create the XML Index, it works fine.
But I need the partitons, so when I create the partitioned table I get the error.
CREATE TABLE INT_PART_TABLE
DB_ID VARCHAR2(10 BYTE),
xML_mESSAGE SYS.XMLTYPE,
LOAD_TIMESTAMP TIMESTAMP(6)
XMLTYPE xML_mESSAGE STORE AS BINARY XML

xmlns:def="DEFG"
xmlns:xyz="XYZA"
end;
create index INDX_XPATHS on "INT_PART_TABLE" (XML_MESSAGE) indextype is xdb.xmlindex
parameters ('PARAM Indx_Par') local;
Now if I execute the following statement in
SELECT T.xML_mESSAGE
FROM INT_PART_TABLE1 T
WHERE XMLEXISTS (
declare namespace abc="ABCD";
declare namespacedef="DEFG";
declare namespace xyz="XYZA";
let $tt as xs:boolean := fn:exists($p/main/id = ("144283","9085802")])
return if ($tt) then true()
else ()'
PASSING T.xML_mESSAGE AS "p");
- Is there any other way of writing this Select statement, which may work?
- Any other thing I need to take care of when defining the table and partitions script so that I don't get this error?Hi,
I think it's time you give a clear (and working) test case so that we can safely try to reproduce the issue.
What you've given so far has syntax error and name mismatch.
So please :
- database version (SELECT * FROM v$version)
- complete sequence of DLLs
- some sample XML documents (it doesn't have to be the real ones, but at least something realistic)
Thanks in advance.
declare namespace abc="ABCD";
declare namespacedef="DEFG";
declare namespace xyz="XYZA";
let $tt as xs:boolean := fn:exists($p/main/id = ("144283","9085802")])
return if ($tt) then true()
else ()'Why all that stuff? You don't have to return a boolean.

Error in Receiver Communication Channel in FCC
I have a simple scenario of Proxy to File. I have to just one field in complete row. So my structure is as below : MT_RecordIB -> Records. So my XSD looks like this :
<xsd:schema xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns="http://XXXl.com/INF31018/SAPSerOrd_DaysIn" targetNamespace="http://hnwl.com/INF31018/SAPSerOrd_DaysIn">
<xsd:element name="MT_RecordIB" type="DT_RecordIB" />
<xsd:complexType name="DT_RecordIB">
<xsd:sequence>
<xsd:element name="Records" type="xsd:string" />
</xsd:sequence>
</xsd:complexType>
</xsd:schema>
I have used FCC and the parameters are :
Recordset Structure Records
Records.fieldSeparator 'nl'
But I am getting following error in Receiver Communication Channel :
Failed to process message content. Reason: Exception in XML Parser (format problem?):'java.lang.Exception: Message processing failed in XML parser: 'Conversion configuration error: Unknown structure 'ns0:MT_RecordIB' found in document', probably configuration error in file adapter (XML parser error)' (Software version: 3.0.21)
Thanks,

XI Communication Channel Error Explanation
Hi All,
Does anyone happen to know :-
1) Is it possible to use CCMS to email the errors coming from a communication channel error Explanation field
2) Are these messages stored in a table I can check
The reason I need to know this is because we sometimes encounter an error such as "Conversion of file content to XML failed at position 838: java.lang.Exception: ERROR converting document line no. 839 according to structure 'XXX_XXX_XXX':java.lang.Exception: ERROR in configuration / structure 'XXX_XXX_XXX.': More elements in file csv structure than field names specified!
This tells us exactly where the error occurred but using Communication Channel Monitoring the error message only remains for a little while before the polling messages remove it from the display. Since the process runs early hours of the morning we never get to see these messages.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks
CraigHi Raquel,
Let me try to clear out some things in this thread . First of all you do your alert configuration which you say you have already done. Thats good . Now you ask that you want only to monitor the communication channels and you want specific guide . Here is the specific guide.
If you have configured alerts you will know that when you create an alert rule you have the option to choose radio button where did the error occur it could be no restriction , integration engine or adapter engine. You need to choose adapter engine.
Now whenever the colour of the lights change to red. You will get your alerts.

ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel while running utlrp.sql
Hi All,
I am getting ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel while running utlrp.sql.
Actually I ran utlrp.sql before in my test database and terminated the session in middle after that when ever I am running utlrp.sql i am getting the above error.
how to resolve the issue.
KiranHi,
Check as follows;
select owner,object_name,object_type from dba_objects where object_name like
'UTL%'The objects should only belong to SYS, if they do belong do some other user (example HR, etc). Drop objects belong to other users (not sys).
Then connect as sys as sysdba and rerun the script utlrp.sql.

Context Index World Lexer ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel
I have release 10g Release 1 (10.1.0.2.0) for Windows and trying to take advantage of the World Lexer.
My table is:
create table worldtest(
filename char(32),
content blob
I've created a preference for the WORLD_LEXER:
begin
ctx_ddl.create_preference('wlex', 'WORLD_LEXER');
end;
Right now I'm working with 10,000 records of PDF, MS-Word, Text, and HTM documents. When I try and create a context index using this lexer:
create index i_ctx_wc on worldtest(content)
indextype is ctxsys.context
parameters ('lexer wlex');
The following error is returned, and I have to use drop index force to remove the index. Without 'Force' a message is return saying the index is an a loading state, but nothing is occuring.
create index i_ctx_wc on worldtest(content)
indextype is ctxsys.context
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel
The indexing works fine when I leave the world lexer preference out.
Any suggestions would be wonderful. I've been banging my head on this one for a while.
Thanks.Hi,
I couldn't reproduce (different version which is perhaps the problem). Check out bug 4056162. ORA-3113 related to the use of the world lexer. The resolution is not published externally, so no help there, but the bug is closed so perhaps support can provide some insight.
Thanks. -
File Structure - Sender Communication Channel
Hi All,
My Sender flat file structure is below like this
Filed1|Field2|Field3|Field4|Field5|Field6
Filed1|Field2|Field3|Field4|Field5|Field6
Filed1|Field2|Field3|Field4|Field5|Field6
Filed1|Field2|Field3|Field4|Field5|Field6
Filed1|Field2|Field3|Field4|Field5|Field6
Filed1|Field2|Field3|Field4|Field5|Field6
I did the Sender Communication Channel configuration - Content Conversion
Document Name : XXX
Document NameSpace: XXXX
Recordset Structure: MT_Test,*
Recordset Sequence: Ascending
Key field Type: String Case-Sensitvie
MT_Test.fieldNames: Filed1,Field2,Field3,Field4,Field5,Field6
MT_Test.fieldSeparator: '|'
MT_Test.additionalLastFileds: ignore
MT_Test.endSeparator : 'nl'
ignoreRecordsetName: true.
But its pick the file, In SXMB_Moni show Currect...
But in Runtime workbench, in Communication Channel moni, it show below like this,
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
- <ns0:MT_Test xmlns:ns0="http://XXXXX">
<JOBS />
</ns0:MT_Test>
What is the Issue, where i missed some thing, In message mapping, its correct..
Thanks.
SRSR,
I am still little confused with your below statement.
But its pick the file, In SXMB_Moni show Currect...
But in Runtime workbench, in Communication Channel moni, it show below like this,
>
> <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
> - <ns0:MT_Test xmlns:ns0="http://XXXXX">
> <JOBS />
> </ns0:MT_Test>
You mean to say that in MONI, the mapping output is fine, but when you check the output at RWB -> CC Monitoring for the Sender Channel, then you get the above mentioned XML?
This means that there is nothing wrong with your source CC settings. If the entry in RWB -> Sender CC is wrong, your MONI entry will never be right. So, this is really weird.
What is the source structure that you have defined in DT?

Neetesh

Empty document found. Proceed without sending message
Hi All,
I have a file CC and it works fine , simple file.
But when I add Trailer to it... then I have no output file..Instead the CC channel shows that the document is empty and cannot proceed:
Here is the details ( Watch the Trailer added)

The output file in empty (null)...
Does anyone out there understand why the output file is becoming null..
here is the log I get in workbecnh (commuunication channel)

21.01.2009 11:48:22 Success File "/mylocation/interface/SCM/somefolder/in/shilpagirlsinput.txt" deleted after processingkeyFieldValue must be different for Rec and Trail, keyfield is to distinguish Rec and Trail, their value must be different, otherwise how can you tell which record is Rec, and which is Trail?
Try to put different keyfield value, chang the input file and run the scenario.
Also because you specified cardinality 1...1 for Trail element, and 1 is used as keyfield for Rec, XI thinks there is no Trail in the outbound file, thus it produces empty document warning as Trail is required to be present by cardinality 1...1

Recordset structure in receiver communication channel
Hi gurus!
I have a problem with my receiver communication channel it says "Unknown structure 'Headers' found in document', probably configuration error in file adapter (XML parser error)'"
It's for sure that the problem is in the configuration of the adapter.
My scenario is from iDoc to File and i need to write only one header and many Lines, i made the data type like:
Headers
---Header
Lines
---Line
And the problem is in the configurarion of the recordset structure and the lines below.
If you know another way better to make the data type to acommplish what i've to do, just tell me I just made it that way because i thought it could work.
If something is not clear just let me know, what i more need is the config. of the receiver adapter.
Thanx in advance.
JuanHi Juan
If i understand correctly .. you are doing FCC on your receiver communication channel...and the following is your Target Data type
Headers
---Header
Lines
---Line
and FCC parameters you created are as below
Recordset structure: Headers,Header,Lines,Line
Header.fieldSeparator \r\n
Header.endSeparator \r\n
Line.fieldSeparator \r\n
Line.endSeparator \r\n
If the above data is correct, then I would like you try out the FCC parameters in my previous post. Because in the FCC parameters, you used only substructures(Header and Line) and you did not mention the lists ( Headers and Lines). That's why i think it is errored out.
If my interpretation is wrong, please let me know where i went wrong, i will try to look at again. -
Java.lang.NullPointerException while creating Communication Channel
Dear friends
First of all, I have already looked at many existing postings with java Null Pointer problems and also looked at the links that other users had suggested. It hasn't helped and therefore I am posting this question here.
I am trying to create Communication Channel using Integration Scenario Configurator.
I get to a stage where it gives a java.lang.NullPointerException error + an InternatlError. Here is the log of internal error. However, if i Continue ignoring the error message, it creates two communication channels that I wanted (Sender Soapadapter and Receiver RFC adapter), but the values in these adapters will not be completely filled.
Has anybody seen this problem before. We are using the latest and gratest SAP that is available in the market.
(PLEASE SCROLL DOWN TO SEE THE ERROR MESSAGES)
Thanks
Ram
