Webdynpro submit

Hi,
Im using file upload UI element in my ABAP Webdynpro for uploading adobe form and after browsing the file for uploading, i want the submit button should trigger automatically with out clicking submit button..is there a way to acheive this?

As soon as something happens on the screen wdDoModifyView() triggers and you can check whether something has been uploaded or not by checking the context attributes associated with that upload element and then invoke a method to submit from wdDoModifyView() .

hi,
there are two buttons available for facilitating integration with Web Dynpro.
the Buttons:-
1). Submit to SAP
2). Check Fields
are there.
if you go to interactive forms->properties->events
you will see that there are two events...
*onSubmit
*onCheck
these events correspond to the two above mentioned buttons.
you can write the code for actions in web dynpro implementation.
these two buttons provide good integration with Dynpro.
There is no bad effect of using these two buttons as such.
But the advantage surely is that you have access to these buttons in web dynpro.
and can write the code for them in their respective actions.
and further you can change the functionality of these buttons and modify the text on these buttons too. like "submit to SAP" can be changed to "MyText".
the behavior of the button will depend on what code you write in its action.

Problem in Using webdynpro Button outside Interactive Form

Hi Experts,
I am using the WebDynpro SUBMIT button Outside the interactiveForm
My question infact was, that I want to use the WebDynpro native button and place it outside the form.
I have written the code in the onActionSubmit() of this button to bind data to a table by using subforms in interactive forms.
My problem is the data is not getting displayed at output,but when i print the size of the node the node is getting binded with data i.e the node size is not equal to Zero.what might be the problem.Please help with a reply .
Any kinds of tips are appreciaed.

The cardinality of the datasource is 1:1 ,and the data is present and binded to the table node,i have traced it using MessageManager.
I am doing this in NW2004s.
I have also done it in NW2004,there i could able to display multiple rows,but what is the problem if iam doing in 2004s.
Will you please help me further regarding this issue.
Can you also please explain why to debug the application.

Webdynpro ABAP pdf form hangs

Hello Experts.
I am using WebDynpro ABAP with:
SAP GUI 640 Patch level 23
Adobe Designer is 7.1.3129.1.296948\
Adobe Reader is 9.0.0
I create a view with a button (with source code behind it) and an interactive_form. I add the dataSource, templateSource, and have a place for the pdfSource to be store as an XSTRING. When I test the web dynpro application with the interactive_form ENABLED, I can not interact with the button. The screen will just say "WAIT" and show the wait screen forever. If I disable the interactive_form, the button then works. Also when I place a webdynpro submit button inside the pdf form, it does not do anything when clicked.
Any suggestions?

What is the form display type.
I have a similar situation.
My form display type is activeX and layout type is ZCI
Interface is XML schema based - generated.
Even if the layout type is ZCI, I would still suggest you to update the form using the SFP_ZCI_UPDATE transaction.
If it doesn't work even after that, try making the display type as ActiveX. But I am not too sure about this. I guess it shoudl work even with Native.
Pl post the solution if you find it!

Update fields from Adobe Form to Table

Hello,
I want to integrate Adobe Form into Webdynpro ABAP Application in which I want to have 2 fields which need to be updated to a DB Table.
For this first I created an Interface in Transaction SFP , added 2 import parameters of type <Table Type>-<FieldName>. Then I created a Webdynpro Component created a new I Interactive Form UI Element and binded the Context of the Form to the Interface.
Then I added 2 fields to the form from Data View . Everything is fine but when I run the Webdynpro Application the fields are not available for Input.i.e. They are in the ReadOnly Mode.
The 'enabled' property of the Interactive Form is checked.
Please help.
Any help would be highly appreciated.

Hi,
The process explained is ok, but I can explain you a better way.
1) Create the webDynpro Component first.
2) Create the context nodes as per the requirement.
3) From the 'integration' panel drag and drop the Interactive form UI element into the view.
4) Bind dataSource to root context node.
5) Check enabled property true.
6) Give a template source name (ZName).
7) On double clicking the template source, system will prompt you to enter the interface name. Map context node to the interface.
8) Interface gets created automatically and the lifecycle designer gets opened.
9) Goto the properties tab and give layout type as 'ZCI Layout'
10) Drag and drop required fields from the data view to the layout designer.
11) Insert webdynpro script from the Utilities
12) Edit -> Form Properties -> Defaults -> XDP Preview Format should be dynamic
13) Drag and drop 'Submit Button' from Library palette -> Webdynpro native controls
On clicking the submit button at runtime you will get the control in the webdynpro submit event.
Above all these you have to check with your basis team, that the 'usage credentials' have been applied while configuring the ADS. Go to SE38 and run the program 'FP_TEST_IA_01' and check whether it is giving an error message or not.

Cant find submit to sap in webdynpro under library

I have recently installed ADS,,and configured..
All set to develop in NWDS,,checked the Adobe lifesycle designer,,but cant find the webdynpro group at all..I need submit to SAP button,,
From wher can i get..?

I faced the same..
But hey u need not upgrade r do somethng like dat,
I have solved it..
go to libraru and say add group name it WedDynpro..
Now check the URL wher it points..
locate that in ur local system
It wud sumthng like dis,,,
D:/documentsandsettings/SAP/adobe/........./components/weddynpro[2]
so now u can locate the WebDynpro folder too der..(yo it will be der bt god knows y it doesnt get reflected der..)
So change the URL now to WebDynpro from webdynpro[2]...
Now all controls get accumulated...
Delete the webdynpro[2] folder..

Submit a webdynpro IView from a non-Portal application

Hi,
i have create a WebDynpro application. This application shows in a table a list of '. This reports are IView for Bex Web Application in a SAP portal. For navigation to this BW IView the WebDynpro application must be also embedded in a WD iView.
The problem is:
This WD IView will be requested by a non-sap/portal application with dynamic parameters and also with the POST method.
In the WD application i have implemented the parameter request with following code:
int i = 1;
String name = WDWebContextAdapter.getWebContextAdapter().getRequestParameter("var_name_" + i);
If the non-portal application submit the WD application directly -> the parameters are available.
But when the non-portal application submit the WD IView, then the Parameters are 'null'.

Submit button in Webdynpro tab

hi,
I am new to Adobe forms, i am using WDJ.
Does the submit button in the "web dynpro tab" call the onSubmit action mentioned in the interactive form UI element?
do we have to write any script to perform the above requirment.?
Also the button name in the web dynpro tab is not "Submit to SAP" its only "Submit" is that an issue?

It is true that Submit button on Native WebDynpro tab is the same button which can invoke the onSubmit action mentioned in the interactive form UI element.
You only have to write a method under the action of OnSubmit button mentioned in the interactive form UI element.
SubmitToSAP is the same button as onSubmit button only name is changed in latest versions.

Submit Button Adobe Interactive forms in webdynpro application

Hi All,
I have a webdynpro requirement which contains only ineractive Fom ( Adobe From).
In adobe Form i have inserted webdynpro activeex Submit Button.
When i run my webdynpro application.I am not able click on the submit button and it is not triggering the backend logic.
Can anybody please let me know how can i solve this issue.

Hi Tarangini,
As how suggested by Thomas ensure that the button type which you are using within your Adobe form matches the "displayType" property that you have specified for the InteractiveForm UI element within your Web Dynpro component. Also specify an event name to be triggered when the user clicks on the Adobe form button. This can be done by specifying a value for onSubmit property of the InteractiveForm. Also ensure that your Adobe form is enabled by having the "enabled" checkbox property of the InteractiveForm checked.

Error after creating submit button - WebDynpro Exception

If the form is in display mode I am able to see the button , but if it is enabled I get the following dump.

Submit ALV in webdynpro

Hello folks, i need to load the information from the result of a ALV in a webdynpro.
The program aqzzzhr_rc======zhr_rc06====== and the variant CUS&STANDARD.
I am using this:
DATA list_tab TYPE TABLE OF abaplist.
SUBMIT aqzzzhr_rc======zhr_rc06======
       USING SELECTION-SET 'CUS&STANDARD'
       EXPORTING LIST TO MEMORY
       AND RETURN.
CALL FUNCTION 'LIST_FROM_MEMORY'
    TABLES
      listobject = list_tab
    EXCEPTIONS
      not_found = 1
      OTHERS     = 2.
IF sy-subrc EQ 0.
    CALL FUNCTION 'WRITE_LIST'
      TABLES
        listobject = list_tab.
end.
My problem is that i cannot see a real information from ALV inside the table list_tab. The info inside says something like RFCRECORD blah blah blah.
Is there a way to convert this information in real data from ALV?
Is there a way to access the information stored in memory?

Hi Jorge.
Exporting list to memory exports the result as abap list to memory.
To use the result in Wd4A ALV you need the result table structure and
the result itself.
Maybe you can extend the standard programm in order to export the result table to
memory. After submiting the report you import the result table and then bind it to a node for the ALV.

hi friends i was created workflow for approval process it is having two processes .
i was used fork step for this .
it is creating two work items one work item in approvar inbox for approval
second one is created in my workitem for rejection process .
but the problem is i want to submit this workitem from Z program.
not from workitem list.
how to submit whe workitem from z program i dont have acess to in box.

I have been searching for exact requirements and looking at different forums.
basically I am looking for attaching documents to Workflow from Webdynpro abap application and show the attachments in another webdynpro abap application.
I was successfull in creating attachments using SAP_WAPI_ATTACHMENT_ADD but was not able to open the attachment from workitem in SWi1 but again I wanted to know how can we pick the attachments from workflow and show it on the webdynpro abap application.
I saw different answers but did not fine the exact solution.

Submit button in Webdynpro which uses Adobe

Hi Guys ,
I have created Webdynpro View with Adobe and then i created UI element Submit button in Webdynpro View which is holding Adobe.
Than i executed webdynppro application and clicked submit button to read the data from Adobe .
Iam getting the WAIT Process keep on running and my On action Method did't triggered at all .
I have done all the setup as per the notes given in the privious thereds for Adobe .
Please help me to resolve the issue .

I am a beginenr in Webynpro Abap . I am trying to catch a submit buttion from a Adobe form developed in webdynproabap .
I have 2 fiels along with the submit button ( of type submit to SAP )
I have written the code in the view action onsubmit and the the java script in the form is also there .
form is of type ZCL
I am not able to trigger the event. what can be the issue . should i do anything more ..
i tried with the 2 type of submit button one is hanging other one there is no reponse .. can any one let me know what can be the reason .

Adobe form with Webdynpro - Form is hanging on click of Submit button

Hello Experts,
My View has an adobe form that has many dropdowns and input fields. There are some fields which get automatically populated based on entries made by the users. There are several internal tables getting populated in the WDDOINIT method. I have a 'Submit Button' which when clicked should close the browser, retrieve data in the Context and do processing in SAP.
When I click on the submit button, I get a 'Wait' symbol (the circle symbol) for a very long time and then the Connection time out error comes up.
I commented the population of some internal tables in the 'Init' method. when I tested by clicking this button, it worked. The browser got closed and processing in SAP was done too.
I am working with a fairly large data. 2-3 of the internal tables (that I commented) have 2000-3000 records. Is there is restriction on how much data the WDN can handle? I am stuck now because even though all codes are correct, the wdn is not able to handle the data.
Any suggestions ?

This issue is resolved. This was due to loading a large data set to the form.
