Enable Automated Installation Problems

I'm having trouble completing a NetRestore/NetInstall restore to computer. I have a Mac Mini that is firewired to a Mac Mini Server 10.6.2. I'm using the Mac Mini as the source.
Whenever I create either a NetRestore or NetInsall of the Mac Mini it installs fine to another Intel Mac without trouble as long as I either use the non-customized button or do a customize with only the following config...
Create image
type: Netinstall
Install Volume: graphics
Save to: NetBootSP0
Image Name:
Network Disk: Netinstall Graphics Erase
Image Index: 1580
Description: Netinstall Graphics Erase
But when I add in Enable Automated Installation...
Define Image Source: graphics
Enable Automated Installation: auto
Erase Before Installing: English
Create image
type: Netinstall
Install Volume: graphics
Save to: NetBootSP0
Image Name:
Network Disk: Netinstall Graphics Erase
Image Index: 1580
Description: Netinstall Graphics Erase
I'll get a big Yellow error message after a couple of minutes: Install failed: The Installer could not start up the computer from the disk, auto. Try selecting your disk using the Startup Disk utility.
This problem only happens when I use Enable Automated Installation. I've never had trouble with 10.5 Leopard Server doing this. At first I thought it was the workflows taken from 10.5 but then I created new ones though the same problem continued.
Also, even though I've included the Install Volume name the destination drive it never gets renamed that. It just keeps the original name, not that this matters that much to me. The big problem is I can't get the Enable Automated Installation to work.
I've tried both NetInstall and the NetRestore tab but neither work with using Enable Automate Installation
Any ideas? I've tried Apple Tech Support but no help so far.
Thanks,
Todd

  • Satellite L750 - drivers installation problem

Hello good people of the internet,
I have a problem with drivers' updates/installation on my Satellite L750-1E3, Windows 7-64 bit.
When I launch the installer, it decompresses, telling me it will launch afterwards, but then the window closes and nothing further happens.
I've read about the same problem one person here had with the L855-10P series but, maybe because I'm a girl or maybe because I'm not a native English speaker, I didn't uderstand what to do...
I actually have problem with more things.
My webcam stopped working, when I try to launch it I get the error message that tells me "the initialization went wrong, restart your webcam or computer".
So I tried to reinstall the driver but the problem I described above appeared.
The same driver installation problem appeared when Tempro told me to update my blu-ray driver (I download all the drivers from eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com).
And the last one, for about a month there are problems with the sound on my notebook.
First cracking of sound and then it stops working completely and I have to restart the computer.
Again, I tried to reinstall the sound drivers.
There are two drivers on the Toshiba site, one of them reinstalled just fine but the other one (nvidia, I think) had the same problem as the other drivers.
Someone please tell me what to do, because I am becaoming really desperate and I seriously considered throwing my notebook out of the window.
    Thank you

Usually the HDD recovery is the easiest to get the notebooks factory settings and to get it running again.
    >My webcam stopped working, when I try to launch it I get the error message that tells me "the initialization went wrong, restart your webcam or computer". So I tried to reinstall the driver but the problem I described above appeared..
Its interesting to know if the webcam or an unknown imagine device (probably webcam) appear in device manager. Please check this.
If the webcam isnt listed there, you should check if the webcam is enabled in BIOS.
To access the BIOS press F2. Then go to Advanced tab -> System configuration -> webcam
If the webcam is enabled in BIOS but still not recognized and not listed in device manager, then you should recover the notebook to factory setting to check if the webcam module isnt faulty.
    >The same driver installation problem appeared when Tempro told me to update my blu-ray driver (I download all the drivers from eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com).
The Blu-ray player update works only for notebook equipped with blu-ray drive. If your notebook does not support blu-ray drive

  • EPM 11.1.2.1 Installation problem on Laptop (Windows Server 2008 R2 x64)

    Dear All,
I hope someone can help me here with EPM 11.1.2.1 installation problem on my notebook - Windows Server 2008 R2 x65, 8 GB RAM, running SQLServer 2008 Express.
I installed Hyperion Foundation. The installation and configuration went through successfully.
    I am facing two problems:
    Problem 1
When I try to access the workspace through the URL http://hostname:19000/workspace/index.jsp, I get error:
    Quote
    Failure of server APACHE bridge:
No backend server available for connection: timed out after 10 seconds or idempotent set to OFF.
    End-quote
    Problem 2
Also, the service "Hyperion EPM Server" service not able to start. When I try to start, I get error message:
    Quote
The Hyperion EPMA Server service on Local computer started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs.
    End-quote
I tried checking everything but can't seem to figure out what's going wrong.
I have uploaded (1) EPM Config Manager screenshot (2) EPM System diagnostic report (3) EPM Registry editor output and (4) system services listing at
    http://www.mediafire.com/?pr9l1v99w4d9u4r,c3vggxeibqkxbo2,lyzclu2aggbn8qh,8kur9gxal5b361z
It would be very grateful if someone can have a look and help me.
Many thanks in advance for any help / pointers / suggestions.
    - Neil

    Hi Pablo,
Thanks to your suggestion for database, problem #2 seem to be resolved. I am now able to start EPMA Service.

  • I can not make a "Automated Installation of the Introscope Agent" (Managed System Configuration, p.7)

I can not make a "Byte Code Adapter Installation"
When I open meets both paragraphs in step Managed System Configuration is somewhat obscure situations that do not allow the automatic configuration Introscope agent and Introscope Manager
Please help to resolve a number of questions that might help me complete the setup :
    1. Why has the status of Enterprise Manager : <No Enterprise Manager configured> ( see picture)
I set up Enterprise Manager in accordance with the installation instructions and complied with all the setting items . Since without any configuration can be associated with the appearance of this status ?
2 . Why Server Node is empty detail settings ?
    JDK Location:
    Enterprise Manager Host:
    Enterprise Manager Port:
    Introscope Agent Name:
    Introscope Agent Profile:
    Autoprobe Directives:
    Wily Version:
    Introscope Agent Version:
    Introscope Agent Log Location:
3 . What a mistake ($ MC: DIAG_WILY_MSG: 032 : L), which appears when I click configuration "Configure Introscope Agent Setup ...", and what it can be linked ? ( see picture )
And the last question , which is also linked to the process of automatic configuration and refers to a phrase from the instruction (Introscope Version 9
Installation Guide For SAP July 2012) points out "Automated Installation of the Introscope Agent via SMD"
    there is such an item:
2 . Deploy ISAGENTJ5 *. SCA which is the Introscope Java Agent 9 with SDM to Solution Manager. You may need to deploy also ISAGENT *. SCA which is Introscope Java Agent 8.
However, nowhere does it say where exactly ( on what the absolute path ) I must perform unloading and then what to do with this discharge

The problem was resolved a small manipulation - on stage Basic Configuration,
    point 3 "Configure CA Introscope"
I forgot to add to the list of CA Introscope Enterprise Managers link to my manager.
Thus it is necessary to take into account that the path should be correct (usually for linux - /usr/sap/ccms/apmintroscope) and the directory should be applied appropriate privileges.
Then in paragraph "Byte Code Adapter Installation" - there are all the necessary data, and it starts to work correctly

  • Adobe Reader XI Installation Problem

I just performed a fresh reload of Windows XP SP3 on one of my computers. After downloading and running the installer for Adobe Reader XI I get the following error pop up:
    Internet Explorer Script Error
An Error has occurred in the script on this page.
    Line:     1

    Error:    'ActionLaunchReader' is undefined.

Again I am running Windows XP SP3 with all the patches applied, JRE 7u10 (set as the default for both IE and Firefox), and scripting is enabled in Internet Explorer. I get the exact same error when trying to install the latest version of Adobe Flash Player as well, however, Adobe Shockwave installed just fine.
I am new to this forum, so forgive me if this problem has been posted before. I did not find anything similar in a search. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Sorry this is in english.   Meine Deutsche ist nicht gut.
Silent mode causes the installer to ignore your license value.  It seems to work to add the license key to the command line:
    Msiexec /i acropro.msi /T acropro.mst /log acrobat9.log /qb ISX_SERIALNUMBER = XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

  • Installation problem on SUSE 12.1

    Hi
I'm a Linux beginner and I am trying to install LV on SUSE 12.1
I've also posted my problems on Lava:
    http://lavag.org/topic/15240-labview-installation-problem-on-suse-121/
The installation started and it looks quite all right, but when I try to start LabVIEW, the application just sits in the taskbar for about 20 seconds and then just disappears.
     Any ideas?
Is there a way to debug to see what's going on?
    Cheers,
    Mike

    Hi Mike,
Unfortunately, there are no versions of LabVIEW supported on SUSE 12.1 at present. Here's a link to LabVIEW version compatibility with different Linux distributions. I saw from your other forum that you're attempting to install LabVIEW 2009, which is certified for SUSE 11.0 at the latest.

  • Xp_logininfo Installation problem

    Hello gurus,
I'm facing the same problem as described in this link:
Re: xp_logininfo "Installation problem on windows 2003 with Sql 2005"
the error I get is similiar:
<i>The below message comes from executing the command master..xp_logininfo '<domain>\<user> ' Msg 15404, Level 16, State 11, Procedure xp_logininfo, Line 62 Could not obtain information about Windows NT group/user '<domain>\<user> ', error code 0x534. The statement has been terminated</i>
but I just don't get how to solve it.
-I've tried to use the profiler but didn't find any information that will help me to solve.
-One of the guys wrote to add "logon rights" to the user ... what does it mean ?
    Please advice,
    Dimitry Haritonov

    Hi sven,
Thank you very much for the quick and direct answer.
The problem was that the user that runs the SQL SERVER service didn't have authorization to retrieve information from active directory.
I've changed the service user, run the sapinst again, and after it succeeded I've returned the previous user.
    Best regards,
    Dimitry Haritonov

  • Oracle database 11g release 2 installation problem on windows 7 (64-bit)

First of all my windows is not genuine, but on my friend's desktop oracle download and installation  worked fine, he chose "create and configure database" options, and it works very well on his desktop, though his windows is also illegitimate. In my case, when I select "Create and configure database" option and pressed 'next",
(Go to my blog to see it with snapshots: Computer Science: Oracle database 11g release 2 installation problem on windows 7 (64-bit))
it asks to select class, I select "Desktop class" and pressed "next". The moment I pressed "next", the whole setup thing disappeared like it was never started. I searched for all possible reasons for why its not getting installed on my laptop, I used registry cleaner s/w,  deleted 25 GB of data to create free space if it were the problem, increased the virtual memory to increase the space for RAM, I did almost everything to get this setup working, but I found no success with the "Create and Configure database" option
    and
    then
I chose a "database software only" option and chose to store in a folder w/o spaces. This way, I got database s/w only and then later I found "Database configuration Assistant (DBCA)"  from windows START button and clicked to create and configure database manually. The steps are pretty much interactive and doesn't involve much brainstorming.
    The values I filled for
    1) Global Database Name :  orcl
    2) System Identifier : orcl
    3) I chose common password for both SYS and SYSTEM
    4) while on Enterprise Manager Configuration step, It asked me to create and configure listener in oracle home, so for that too, I typed "netca" in windows START menu and clicked it. There I added a listener.
    5) I chose a Storage area which was the Oracle-home itself i.e. where our installation files goes , in my case it is : C:\oracle_base\product\11.2.0\dbhome_1\oradata
    6) Then after few more nitty-gritty clicks, we are set to go !
Finally to write SQL code and to create your first TABLE , type "sqlplus" in windows "START" menu and click it when it appears. A command-prompt like window appears , which will ask you for username and password, so here they are :
    Username : sys/ as sysdba
Password : (its the one you created in step 3 stated above )
After this you are ready to write your first SQL command.

Is this your solution to your original post at Oracle database 11g release 2 installation on windows 7 (64-bit) ?
Pl be aware that you should not create any custom objects in SYS or SYSTEM schema - you should create any such objects in a separate custom schema.

  • Lightroom 3.2 Installation Problem on Windows 7 64-bit

Lightroom 3.2 Installation Problem on Windows 7 64-bit
I can't install Lightroom 3.2 (German) on my computer (Windows 7 Professional 64-bit).
While copying the extracted program files the following error message appears:
An error occurred during the installation of assembly component {6435B7C0-E0C8-3EA2-91AE-7640034EAFCE}. HRESULT: 0x80070002.
I found out that other users had the same problem, and couldn't find a solution.
Perhaps it is a Microsoft .NET Framework related problem. But after installing .NET Framework 4 nothing changed.
Thanks for ideas to solve the problem.

Thanks for your advice, Mr. McLion.
I downloaded the 3.4.1 version and started the installation as administrator. Unfortunately the same error message occured again.
Then I tried to install the 32-bit version (although I prefer a 64-bit program on a 64-bit operating system). A similar error message appeared at the same point of installation progress, but with another combination of numbers and letters in brackets.

    Hi ,
I have jdk1.5.0_12 (J2SE) installed on my Windows XP. Now i am trying to install J2EE on my machine.I tried to install it twice but it comes to a halt after completing 45% at the same jar file. Following is the link which shows it comes to a halt.

Also I wanted to know if I uninstall the J2SE and then install only J2EE will that be fine.Because I believe J2EE is a superset of J2SE ?
    Thanks in advance.
