Enable Export to XLS in Appraisal Ranking List ALV

Hi guys,
I need to enable export to XLS under Appraisal Ranking ALV Report, the problem is that the export functionality is set in an exclusion ALV table under SAP Standard code at include LHRHAP_UI_DOCUMENT_REPORT01O02 from Function Module HRHAP_SHOW_RANKING_LIST. (Dynpro 2000 of the FM - > PBO -> module d2000_display_data )
append g_2000_grid->MC_FC_GRAPH to gt_2000_toolbar_excluding."graphic
  append g_2000_grid->MC_FC_FIND to gt_2000_toolbar_excluding."find
  append g_2000_grid->MC_FC_INFO to gt_2000_toolbar_excluding."user docu
  append g_2000_grid->MC_MB_FILTER to gt_2000_toolbar_excluding."filter
  append g_2000_grid->MC_FC_VIEW_GRID to gt_2000_toolbar_excluding.
  append g_2000_grid->MC_MB_VIEW to gt_2000_toolbar_excluding.   "views
  append g_2000_grid->MC_MB_EXPORT to gt_2000_toolbar_excluding. "export
  append g_2000_grid->MC_FC_SUBTOT to gt_2000_toolbar_excluding."subtota
  append g_2000_grid->MC_MB_SUM to gt_2000_toolbar_excluding.  "total
  CALL METHOD G_2000_GRID->SET_TABLE_FOR_FIRST_DISPLAY
    EXPORTING
      i_structure_name     = 'HAP_S_ALV_REPORTING_RANK'
      it_toolbar_excluding = gt_2000_toolbar_excluding
      is_layout            = gs_2000_layo
    CHANGING
      it_fieldcatalog      = gt_2000_fieldcatalog
      it_outtab            = gt_2000_dynp
I tried inserting an implicit enhancement point but it does not suit my requirement since it only allows me to insert the enhancement point after the PBO module.
Do you have any suggestion on how to fulfill this requirement without having to make a copy of the entire Function Group and edit the subsequent Z* function modules?
Thank you.

I received a reply from SAP saying this is not possible through SAP Standard or Enhancements and requires a custom development.
Cheers
Ivan

  • Export to spreadsheet from program result list (ALV Grid) via the web

    Hello alles!
    When executing a program (a report) using SAP WebGUI or the portal (Manager's Desktop/Launchpad etc.), exporting the result list to a spreadsheet doesn't seem to work. No error message, browser doesn't really hang, but nothing happens. Neither Excel, nor XML export, nor anything works.
    Export from the same program works just fine in SAP GUI.
    (SAP Note 314568 has some information about ALV Grid export limitations, but I can't make the XML export work either...)
    Could this be a configuration error in ITS? In that case, where..?
    Or is it something we just need to live with?
    Thank you in advance!
    Brgds, Caroline

    There is a known problem regarding exportation to Excel.
    Try the following path :
    Tools --> Macro --> Security
    Then go to the "Trusted Publishers" tab and tick the "Trust acess to Visual Basic Project" option.
    This should do the trick.

  • Oracle 10g Discoverer Reports & export to xls fails for large reports

    Hi ,
    We have following configurations:
    1: RHEL 5.4
    2: Discoverer :Version 10.1.2.48.18
    3: Oracle10g Apps Version : Version 10.1.2.0.2
    Issue:
    Most of small reports works fine ....but when large discoverer reports are executed the page
    keeps on refreshing for 15-20 hours but no output ....same for export to xls ......
    But same reports works fine in oracle9i for same data voulme....
    Observations:
    When on linux with top command the processes are monitored its observed that discoverer process
    dis51ws dies for large reports after 1-2 minutes ...& the page keeps on refreshing but no output....
    for 1-2 minutes it consumes 50-80% cpu utilisation then process disappears & cpu 80% idle ...
    It seems that as 10g Apps is installed on RHEL 5.4 ...non certfified OS causing an issue...
    Can any one adds more inputs in this regards......

    Regards,

    Hi ,
    as per Note: 466697.1 ....its an memory error....& need to increase MaxVirtualDiskMem and MaxVirtualHeapMem
    But we already have slowly increased MaxVirtualDiskMem and MaxVirtualHeapMem to below very high values ...but the issue remains same.......
    as per note we are getting Logkeys: exceptions discoiv.servlet_exceptions error but
    after that we are not getting below error ............
    Unexpected error in state machine: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError
    Hence I presume that its different issue rather than memmory....
    Below are pref.txt values..........
    CacheFlushPercentage          = 25          # Percent of cache flushed if the cache is full. valid values 0 - 100%.
    MaxVirtualDiskMem          = 9294967296     # Maximum amount of disk memory allowed for the data cache. Should be greater than or equal to MaxVirtualHeapMem
    MaxVirtualHeapMem          = 4294967296     # Maximum amount of heap memory allowed for the data cache.
    QueryBehavior = 0          # Action to take after opening a workbook (0 = Run Query Automatically, 1 = Don't Run Query, 2 = Ask for Confirmation)
    Also we have raised an SR & as per SR .............all below settings are tried as per SR except for applying a recent patch....
    ====================================================================
    Discoverer performance is largely determined by how well the database
    has been designed and tuned for queries.
    A well-designed database will perform significantly better than a poorly
    designed database.
    Workbook design can also affect query performance.
    1. Apply latest Discoverer patch as documented in <<Note:237607.1>>
    'ALERT: Required and Recommended Patch Levels For All Discoverer Version'.
    2. Increase the maximum JVM heap memory:
    In general, the default values for the minimum heap (-Xms) memory and
    maximum heap (-Xmx) memory are sufficient.
    However, if your organization consistently runs large Discoverer queries
    then you may benefit from increasing the maximum heap memory from the
    default values.
    This is recomended if your users are typically running large queries via
    Discoverer Viewer.
    Increasing the JVM memory can help to avoid "java.lang.OutOfMemoryError"
    in Discoverer Viewer:
    Please see <<Note 563960.1>>, Best Practice: Configuring The
    OC4J_BI_Forms JVM For
    Discoverer Viewer/Portlet 10g Performance And Stability for specific
    details.
    3. Disable Query Prediction:
    Query Prediction provides an estimate of the time required to retrieve
    the information in a query.
    The Query Prediction appears before the query and consumes time.
    Edit the <oracle_home>/discoverer/util/pref.txt on the middle-tier
    server and set:
    QPPEnable=0
    Also set:
    QPPObtainCostMethod = 0
    4. Uncheck the 'Enable fantrap detection' checkbox.
    When the box is checked, every query generated by Discoverer is
    interrogated. Discoverer will detect a fan trap and rewrite the query to
    ensure that the aggregation is done at the correct level.
    Please refer to <<Note:210553.1>>, Oracle BI Discoverer: Fan Trap
    Resolution - Correct Results
    Everytime for more information on fantraps.
    To disable, in Plus go to Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> Fan Trap
    settings.
    In Viewer go to Preferences and uncheck the box.
    5. Disable Materialized Views/Summaries
    In pref.txt add parameter:
    MaterializedViewRedirectionBehavior = 0
    Value equal to 0 ensures that Materialized View (MV) Redirection is
    always performed when MVs are available.
    6. Improve query performance by optimizing the SQL.
    In pref.txt modify/add following parameters:
    SQLFlatten = 0
    SQLItemTrim = 0
    SQLJoinTrim = 0
    UseOptimizerHints = 0
    If value of SQLFlatten is 1 then Discoverer will merge inline views in
    the query SQL where ever possible.
    In case of SQLItemTrim, Discoverer will remove unused folder items from
    the query SQL where possible and for SQLJoinTrim Discoverer will remove
    unnecessary joins from the query where possible.
    UseOptimizerHints will add Optimizer hints to SQL if set >
    0.Unnecessarily making Discoverer perform these checks consumes
    resources and rather than increasing the performance may reduce the same. So unless you feel these checks have to be performed depending on
    requirements, assign zero to these parameters.
    7. When Discoverer builds a query, Discoverer makes a database security
    check to confirm that the user has access to the tables referenced in
    the folders. Avoiding this check can save time.
    So in pref.txt underDatabase section add:

  • Ranked Listing in BeX

    Hello All ,
    I have a specific requirement where I have to give a ranked listing based on the percentages . This is pretty straight forward .
    To add to the complexity the ranked list should only display top n contributors contributing X percentage of the total .
    To further detail the scenario
    User wants a report for top contributors accounting for X % of the total business . where X is a variable to be entered by the user
    Top n doesn't suite as n is unknown .
    Please send pointers
    Regards
    Nikhil

    Hi Nikhil,
    You can achieve this by creating a condition in the query designer.
    Choose the create condition icon in the query designer (shiftctrlc)
    Select new condition
    Give a description for the condition and check the active checkbox
    Choose the characteristic or characteristic combination for which this condition is to be applied.In your case it will be the characteristic 'Contributor'.
    In the panel below click New.
    Choose the keyfigure which is business in your case.
    Select the operator Top% from the dropdown
    Select the Variables entry checkbox which enables to create a variable using the wizard.Have User entry/default value as the processing type.
    Click Transfer. Save and execute the query.
    Thus, you have the query which displays contributors contributing to top X% of the business where X is given by the user during query run time.

  • Aprpaisal report - ranking list - no data

    I get no data when I run the appraisal report "Ranking List". my report has a few elements (criteria groups) with FAPP columns. does it matter that I have more than 1 FAPP column in my report? can this cause the report not to run properly?

    There are known issues with Interactive Reports referencing :REQUEST value, probably due to some inner logic that also handles it simultaneously - potentially causing malfunction or deadlocks.
    One workaround I've learned is to create a computation to assign :REQUEST to a temporary item (a PXX_REQUEST, for instance) and reference it in the query, instead of :REQUEST. This has worked fine for me in my experience.
    Let me know if that helps - pls sign the thread as 'Useful' or 'Correct' if so, hence more people can benefit.

  • Error when exporting to Excel for SharePoint 2010 List

    We have few users who are getting the following error message when they try to export to Excel from the SharePoint list:
    "An operation that uses the database driver could not be completed. If the driver is a Microsoft driver, make sure the driver file isn’t damaged, and if it is, reinstall the driver by reinstalling Microsoft Query. For other drivers, contact
    your database administrator or driver vendor.‘
    The export option works for me on my machine and also tested it out on other users' machines without issues. The list is currently holds 29763 items.
    1. Created a view that filter the list to show few items, and the user was able to export without issues.
    2. Followed the steps in the following Blog:
    http://www.sharepointserverrecovery.com/blog/troubleshooting-problems-when-exporting-sharepoint-list-data-to-excel-spreadsheet-and-fixing-database-corruption/ and the user was able to export the original list.
    3. My colleagues and I don't have any issues exporting to Excel. (Note: even my test account, that does not have any special permissions or members of any SharePoint group(s)).
    4. Some Blog/Forums suggest to increase Threshold limit in Central Admin, which we don't want to do, since the issue only affect certain users.
    Any idea on how to troubleshoot/resolve the issue?
    Thanks,
    Yassar

    Do they have to export all the information or is a subset of it ok?
    Creating an index on the columns that your users interact with the most and then creating views that limit the returned results will be useful.  This will then allow an export.

  • How do I enable the button to use the tree list in excel? (Enable the list type: Tree enabled in Office 2013 - VSTF 2013)

    Hi, I was looking to see if anyone knows how I can troubleshoot my connection problem with TFS view in excel. I'm trying to  produce a tree view in Office 2013 as described in the following KB -
    https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd286627.aspx
    I have followed the instructions on the KB all the way up to : 'Add backlog items and tasks and their parent-child links using a tree list' and at this point I can't seem to get it to work as the button is greyed out.
    Note that I have completed steps 1-6 for the previous procedure... all 6 steps work just fine. However on step 2 of the second procedure - the instructions state I should be able to 'Add Tree Level' - However the button is greyed out.
    Anyone know what I need to do to enable the button to use the tree list in excel?
    Frank

    Frank,
    I believe your issue is that you have opened a Flat query and are trying to add tree levels. A flat query is just that and you cannot change the query type from Excel.
    The second process is managing a backlog (which is a tree). TFS web access has a link on the backlog view to create a query. That query will be a "tree of work items" query that returns the items in the backlog including their parent-child relationships.
    This type of query supports the Add Tree Level and Add Child functionality as does a new Input List (not bound to an existing query).

  • What is ranked list ?

    Hi SAP-ABAP Experts .
    (a.) What is ranked list ? How it is different from simple list disply or ALV display .
    May some body give any small example of ranked list ?
    (b.) Difference b/t Report Painter and Sql Query ?
    Regards : Rajneesh

    hi ,
    Ranked lists
    You can use the APPEND statement to create ranked lists in standard tables. To do this, create an empty table, and then use the statement:
    APPEND <wa> TO <itab> SORTED BY <f>.
    The new line is not added to the end of the internal table <itab>. Instead, the table is sorted by field <f> in descending order. The work area <wa> must be compatible with the line type of the internal table. You cannot use the SORTED BY addition with sorted tables.
    When you use this technique, the internal table may only contain as many entries as you specified in the INITIAL SIZE parameter of the table declaration. This is an exception to the general rule, where internal tables can be extended dynamically. If you add more lines than specified, the last line is discarded. This is useful for creating ranked lists of limited length (for example "Top Ten"). You can use the APPEND statement to generate ranked lists containing up to 100 entries. When dealing with larger lists, it is advisable to sort tables normally for performance reasons.
    Examples
    DATA: BEGIN OF WA,
            COL1 TYPE C,
            COL2 TYPE I,
          END OF WA.
    DATA ITAB LIKE TABLE OF WA.
    DO 3 TIMES.
      APPEND INITIAL LINE TO ITAB.
      WA-COL1 = SY-INDEX. WA-COL2 = SY-INDEX ** 2.
      APPEND WA TO ITAB.
    ENDDO.
    LOOP AT ITAB INTO WA.
      WRITE: / WA-COL1, WA-COL2.
    ENDLOOP.
    The output is:
              0
    1         1
              0
    2         4
              0
    3         9
    This example creates an internal table ITAB with two columns that is filled in the DO loop. Each time the processing passes through the loop, an initialized line is appended and then the table work area is filled with the loop index and the square root of the loop index and appended.
    DATA: BEGIN OF LINE1,
            COL1(3) TYPE C,
            COL2(2) TYPE N,
            COL3    TYPE I,
          END OF LINE1,
          TAB1 LIKE TABLE OF LINE1.
    DATA: BEGIN OF LINE2,
            FIELD1(1)  TYPE C,
            FIELD2     LIKE TAB1,
          END OF LINE2,
          TAB2 LIKE TABLE OF LINE2.
    LINE1-COL1 = 'abc'. LINE1-COL2 = '12'. LINE1-COL3 = 3.
    APPEND LINE1 TO TAB1.
    LINE1-COL1 = 'def'. LINE1-COL2 = '34'. LINE1-COL3 = 5.
    APPEND LINE1 TO TAB1.
    LINE2-FIELD1 = 'A'. LINE2-FIELD2 = TAB1.
    APPEND LINE2 TO TAB2.
    REFRESH TAB1.
    LINE1-COL1 = 'ghi'. LINE1-COL2 = '56'. LINE1-COL3 = 7.
    APPEND LINE1 TO TAB1.
    LINE1-COL1 = 'jkl'. LINE1-COL2 = '78'. LINE1-COL3 = 9.
    APPEND LINE1 TO TAB1.
    LINE2-FIELD1 = 'B'. LINE2-FIELD2 = TAB1.
    APPEND LINE2 TO TAB2.
    LOOP AT TAB2 INTO LINE2.
      WRITE: / LINE2-FIELD1.
      LOOP AT LINE2-FIELD2 INTO LINE1.
        WRITE: / LINE1-COL1, LINE1-COL2, LINE1-COL3.
      ENDLOOP.
    ENDLOOP.
    The output is:
    A
    abc 12          3
    def 34          5
    B
    ghi 56          7
    jkl 78          9
    The example creates two internal tables TAB1 and TAB2. TAB2 has a deep structure because the second component of LINE2 has the data type of internal table TAB1. LINE1 is filled and appended to TAB1. Then, LINE2 is filled and appended to TAB2. After clearing TAB1 with the REFRESH statement, the same procedure is repeated.
    DATA: BEGIN OF LINE,
            COL1 TYPE C,
            COL2 TYPE I,
          END OF LINE.
    DATA: ITAB LIKE TABLE OF LINE,
          JTAB LIKE ITAB.
    DO 3 TIMES.
      LINE-COL1 = SY-INDEX. LINE-COL2 = SY-INDEX ** 2.
      APPEND LINE TO ITAB.
      LINE-COL1 = SY-INDEX. LINE-COL2 = SY-INDEX ** 3.
      APPEND LINE TO JTAB.
    ENDDO.
    APPEND LINES OF JTAB FROM 2 TO 3 TO ITAB.
    LOOP AT ITAB INTO LINE.
      WRITE: / LINE-COL1, LINE-COL2.
    ENDLOOP.
    The output is:
    1         1
    2         4
    3         9
    2         8
    3        27
    This example creates two internal tables of the same type, ITAB and JTAB. In the DO loop, ITAB is filled with a list of square numbers, and JTAB with a list of cube numbers. Then, the last two lines of JTAB are appended to ITAB.
    DATA: BEGIN OF LINE,
            COL1 TYPE I,
            COL2 TYPE I,
            COL3 TYPE I,
           END OF LINE.
    DATA ITAB LIKE TABLE OF LINE INITIAL SIZE 2.
    LINE-COL1 = 1. LINE-COL2 = 2. LINE-COL3 = 3.
    APPEND LINE TO ITAB SORTED BY COL2.
    LINE-COL1 = 4. LINE-COL2 = 5. LINE-COL3 = 6.
    APPEND LINE TO ITAB SORTED BY COL2.
    LINE-COL1 = 7. LINE-COL2 = 8. LINE-COL3 = 9.
    APPEND LINE TO ITAB SORTED BY COL2.
    LOOP AT ITAB INTO LINE.
      WRITE: / LINE-COL2.
    ENDLOOP.
    The output is:
             8
             5
    The program inserts three lines into the internal table ITAB using the APPEND statement and the SORTED BY addition. The line with the smallest value for the field COL2 is deleted from the table, since the number of lines that can be appended is fixed through the INITIAL SIZE 2 addition in the DATA statement.
    SQL query is used for the fetching data from different tables,while report painter is used to display the data in some format.

    Hi rama,
    your requirement is bit dicey to achieve, as if you check the Keyfigure propertise for Calculation of Single Row as: we have the option of rank List available, but for calulate result row as:, we dont have the same option available.
    You can give this solution a try:
    1) create a formula keyfigure, as SUMCT(Sales or keyfigure for your formula calculation).
    2) Then in Keyfigure properties, calculate single value as Rank List.
    PS: with this approach you will get the rank value at the row level of sumct. partially solving your problem
    Hope this helps...

  • AdHoc - default setting for reference Currency ranked lists

    Hi
    Our main currency is NOK.  When creating AdHoc reports with statistics or ranked lists, the currency is USD.  This can be changed by chaning settings for "stats/ranked lists" in adhoc.
    I assume USD is the default somehow.
    Can the default be changed?
    If not, is there a user parameter that can be set to change this?

    Checked with SAP - and USD is the default in system.  Can only be changed by user settings, so I am closing this issue.

    This one is really tricky. Display value just shows the rank but it would hold the actual value when you try to do calculations.
    We have had similar problem but it was not related to ranking.
    One Simple approach could be
    Make them use Wrokbooks and do this calculation by using a SUM formula in Excel. Excel will consider whta is being displayed as a value for that cell
    One far complicated solution is you can use the Olympic ranks and Do your sum in a Macro.
    What I mean is if you get the last rank to be 10 then you can write your program to do the sum as
    1098765432+1.
    This approach could be taken only if they are OK with Olympic ranking.

  • Ranked List for sort ?

    Hi,
    Under one of my Product Group ; i have 5 Key Figures. I need to Sort based on one of these Key Figures.
    When i use a condition and apply the Top N Function to it; i get repeated values of the product name in all 5 rows which do not get suppressed using the query properties.
    This gets taken care of if i select single caharcterisitcs option in the condition. But using this option; the Sort applies only for the first few rows under that particular column.
    Could you tell me if ranked list can be used to conduct a sort in this case . If yes - how do i use it ?
    Regards
    Shweta

    Hi Tony,
    When i apply Top % to my condition ; it does sort in Descending order ; However; If i were to change your example,
    Rows : Material Group
    Column :Quantity
                 Stock
    The output that i get when the sort is working is as foloows:
    Material Group           Quantity
    Material Group           Stock
    and the Output that i want would be :
    Material Group           Quantity
                                     Stock.
    The query Property of Suppress repeated values does not apply either.
    Please tell me how can i take care of this.

  • Iexplorer setting that would cause export of xls error "Could not open ..."

    We have a situation where the same user, on two different machines, gets two different results. The user is attempting to export to xls. We are using Discoverer 10g viewer.
    On machine one, the error (Could not open https://server.co.net/discoverer/export/test.xls) prompts when attempting to open or save the exported xls. On maching two, the xls can be opened or saved with no problem. I'm guessing it is a security setting within iexplorer.
    Any thoughts...
    Thanks,
    Jamie

    The quick solution to the problem was to login to XP as an administrator, backup the user profile, remove the user profile, log off, have the user re login (basically recreates profile with latest certificates and security settings), update new profile with backup data (favorites, my documents, etc...), and now all is fine. Not sure which certificate or security setting was causing the problem, but now user has the most up to date profile.
