Enable Portlet Integration Without iFrame

Hi All,
Is it possible to enable portlet integration w/o IFRAME? If so what is the approach.
I created a portlet with a pop up, when I used that portlet in Panel Accordian, popup is still showing up within iFrame rather whole jspx page. I even tried setting renderPortletInIFrame="false" but still its not working.
Any suggestion please. Can I write custom code, if so what should be approach.
Thanks
Ankur

Thanks Yannick for quick response, so on this my next doubt is can we create
1.     Standard JSR 286 Portlet
2.     PDK-Java Portlet
via Jdeveloper, and it may render inline without iFrame? Should I give a try on this.
Thanks

  • How Enabling ERP Integrator Drill Through from a Grid

    Hi All,
Can any one tell me how to see the source data by using FR.
some where i saw we can see this by using Enabling ERP Integrator Drill Through from a Grid.
but i dont know how to set this...
can any one help on this...

Incidentally we had been trying to use Essbase studio as an option. But there are 2 oints that we are trying to investigate.
    1) Can we bypass deployment of data and metadata everytime through Essbase studio after the initial outline is delpoyed? In the system architecture the relational tables are populated using ODI. We would like to load the data and metadata through ODI into the cube. Eeven then can we implement drill thru bypassing deployment through Essbase Studio?
    2) If Essbase studio is imperative for drill through then what are the batch automation options for deployment through Essbase studio? Ideally the option should be after the relational tables are populated through ODI then the Essbase deployment should be invoked and batch script should load the data and metadata through Essbase Studio.
    Please advise.

  • Inter Portlet communication without using workshop

    Hi
Does any one have any luck trying to do inter portlet communication without using weblogic workshop IDE?

    Hi Curt,
WLP's eventing system is designed such that portlet's don't have to care
whether the source/destination is local or remote. If you have a portlet
that fires/consumes events, when you create a proxy portlet on a
consumer, the portlet on the producer will be able to fire and receive
events without any changes to it. In this scenario, the proxy portlets
work with the WLP's event runtime to collect and dispatch events on
behalf of portlets on the producer. Going forward, WSRP 2.0 and
JSR168-next's eventing models will be mapped to the same WLP event runtime.

You mentioned my next quest, WSRP'ifying my portlet & IPC system.
Can you suggest an WSRP example anywhere on the net or in bea?
I guessing that suitability of IPC is also a function of whether the portlets are the remote portlets or the local portlets.
Might a non-Bea IPC choice be usable within the local portlets, which are WSRP clients to stand alone remote portlets?
I can imagine now that you mention it that the remote WRSP producer portlets can't use just any IPC facility and the events be pushed inband to the consumer portal...

  • Cannot ENABLE SharePoint Integration.

Our organization has a Sharepoint 2013 deployment and uses Acrobat Pro XI.  We use document libraries with with check in/check out and verioning enabled.  When opening a PDF from within a library, the document opens in Acrobat without issue but we do not receive any prompts to check the document out.  This prevents us even from manually checking out the document in sharepoint, opening the document, saving the document back to sharepoint because Acrobat tries to save it to a local AppData Temp directory.   I've seen a thousand answered posts about how to DISABLE SharePoint integration, but I'm just looking to get this functionality in the first place.  The problem could be related to a SharePoint setting but I cannot cind such a setting.  Our office documents prompt for checkout when opened as they should - Just not PDFs.
***Some additional information:  From Acrobat, if I click  File>Open, then select "open from online account"  and connect to my sharepoint server I can check in and out, but some of our libraries are over 9GB and cause Acrobat to crash every time I try to open the library, so this is apparently not an option for us (although it would be nice!!!).
    Thanks!

This is a user to user forum and the responding staff are volunteers (not on the support team).
SharePoint integration is of course supported as indicated by all the documentation, and it does work for most customers. Troubleshooting the problem here is more complex than other issues because it involves integrating two enterprise products and working with files across a network. There are literally thousands of possible environments and factors which could affect the functionality. It's difficult to fix issues that can't be reproduced internally.
While it looks like some of the issues above have found solutions, the original one has not for some users. More environment details may be required. Here are some troubleshooting steps to double check first:
Have an admin configure the server and clients as specified in the Admin Guide.
    Use a supported browser.
Enable the "Adobe Acrobat Sharepoint OpenDocuments Component" and "Adobe PDF Reader" add-ins in IE.
Verify this folder exists on the server: %ProgramFiles%\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\<version>\TEMPLATE\XML
Verify Doclcon.xml exists in the above location.
    Verify this line is correct: <Mapping Key="pdf" Value="icpdf.png" EditText="Acrobat Reader" OpenControl="AdobeAcrobat.OpenDocuments" OpenApp="AcroRd32"/>
Determine if the problem affects all users or some users. The former would likely indicate a server issue while the latter points to a client-side issue.
Verify you have write permissions to any location the Acrobat product or SharePoint needs to write to.
If you can't edit a PDF, check its security properties via Open File > Properties > Security.
If clicking on a PDF document in a SharePoint library shows the error "There was an error opening this document. The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect.", then update SharePoint. See the Microsoft Technet Forum:  http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sharepointgeneral/thread/49aed23c-cf9c-43 39-8c17-ff1df65649a6/.
If the "Check Out and Open" PDF files in document libraries menu item is not present, make sure the latest is SharePoint update is not the March cummulative update for SP 2013. Microsoft confirmed a bug in that update. See https://forums.adobe.com/message/6579072#6579072

  • Portlet integration

What are the steps for integrating a portlet provided by a 3rd party into a WL
portal. Given portlet.xml and somePortlet.class files, what do I do? Does it
matter whether or not the portal is new and contains no portlets?
I can't seem to get this to work without including the source for the .class file

    Subbu,
Ok, I've got it working. I'm not sure what went wrong earlier when I tried this.
Here's the steps I tried that worked.
    1. created project
    2. dropped class file in WEB-INF\classes
    3. dropped portlet.xml in WEB-INF (replaced original file)
    4. created a new portlet pointing at the class from step 2
    5. created new portal
    6. included portlet in new portal

  • BPM Workspace 10gR3 Portlet integration in WebCenter 11g

Hi guys, I want to integrate my BPM processes within WebCenters portal. What i want to do is to present my bpm workspace inside portlets that will live in Webcenter. My question is, if there is an out-of-the-box solution in webcenter for doing this or if an implementation must be done to achieve this. If the second choice is the best I would like to know what kind of portlet (technology of the porlet) would be the best for implementing this integration. My Bpm workspace will be implemented on version 10gR3 and webcenter´s version is 11g. Thank you so much!!

  • Enable Windows Integrated security.

    Hi,
    1) When we create a new data source in SQL Server Report Server, for credentials we have an option to use windows integrated. When I choose this and click on test connection, I get an error "the connection was either timed out or lost".
Any help in this regard will be highly appreciated.
    2) Some tech net articles suggest to enable Kerberos authentication. I donot know how to enable Kerberos for a reporting server.
    Need help please.
    Thanks,
    Bhawna.

    Hello Bhawna,
Kerberos Authentication is needed in the so called "double hop" scenarios. Enabling it for SSRS is easy and is covered in the following technet article - http://blogs.technet.com/b/rob/archive/2011/11/23/enabling-kerberos-authentication-for-reporting-services.aspx.
The question, however, is do you really need it - of your RS and DB Engine (data source) are on the same server, then you do not need this. If you are using multi-tier architecture, then Kerberos might be the thing you need. So - where is your data placed?

  • Need to enable wifi sync without cable

I am unable to connect my iPod to a computer and therefore need to enable the wifi sync without connecting it. Is this possible? If so, how do I do it?

Sorry.  To enable WiFi synch you have to connect to the computer you synch to.  If you do not have a comuter to connect to, then you also do not have a comuter to synch to, so its really a non-issue.

  • Struts portlet integration

    Hi,
sorry I'm new to weblogic but had used different app servers before. I have to do such a project until next week where you need to put the coffee machine directly beside your computer. ;-o
I already had implement my entity beans and session beans in a xdoclet / maven environment.
Now I need to do the view tier and integrate it in a existing porlat as portlet.
    Here my questions:
Should I do my UI via Struts since I'm familar with struts and it would be staight forward. Should I as last step import the final struts & ejb application as portlet to workshop? What and how much work is to do to make a strus application to a portlet?
Or may alternativly should i realize my UI directly in workshop and do this jpf stuff?
As you can see I'm fishing for experimence reports about integration struts / ejb in existing portal workshop projects.
Thanks a lot for any hints.
    Stefan

glad to hear im not the only one struggling with integrating ADF with Portal.
    ADF consists of 3 layers,
    1) Business Layer (model/bc4j)
    2) Controler Layer (struts)
    3) View Layer (uix/jsp/jsf)
A portlet ussualy takes care of the Controler Layer and the View Layer, it should be possible to use BC4J within your portlets, but not using layers 2 and 3.
But I guess this is not what we want, we want to create an ADF application within
JDeveloper and deploy it either standalone or as a portlet.
I wonder if this is possible with JSF, it doesnt contain struts anymore, so perhaps the
    layered complexity is less?
An option is always to use the webclipping portlet, but this is not ideal.
Im curious how Oracle is going to address this, we now have 2 platforms we can develop
applications for, Portal and Standalone (ADF). Its kinda a waste that portlet development
is like developing a servlet, not using a luxery framework like ADF.

  • Passing Page Parameters to a JSR168 Portlet - Enable Portlet Params

We have created a JSR168 portlet in JDeveloper. Once an instance of that portlet is added to a portal page, we want the portlet instance to also received a render request parameter from the page it has been placed on.
I know how to physically add/associate page parameters to a portlet via the portal's page properties tab. However, I am not sure how you configure the JSR168 portlet so that it has parameters that you can associated to the page parameter. Whenever I try to associate parameters to my portlet, it indicates that I have "no parameters".
Is there a special method to configure these parameters within the portlet so that they show up on the page property's parameter tab? Do I need to create entries in the portlet.xml file to enable this? Is there a special configuration setting on the provider?
Any help on this would be greatly appeciated.
    Thanks,
    Tony

    Hi Tony,
As you said in your post,
"I know how to physically add/associate page parameters to a portlet via the portal's page properties tab. However, I am not sure how you configure the JSR168 portlet so that it has parameters that you can associated to the page parameter."
I think you first need to declare the public portlet parameters in the provider.xml of your JDeveloper project, eg.
    <inputParameter class="oracle.portal.provider.v2.DefaultParameterDefinition">
    <name>PortletPara_MainCat</name>
    <displayName>PortletPara_MainCat</displayName>
    <description>PortletPara_MainCat</description>
    </inputParameter>
Then, on the page you add the portlet, you will see the declared portlet parameters in the parameter tag page. Finally, link the page parameters with portlet parameters.
    thanks
