Enabling a URL link in a template
Hi,
I am display an HR template on my portal screen. In portal we are using standard Appraisal screen which contain tables with Tab to display our template. In a particular tab we have to enable a URL link (Eg - google, by clicking this URL should take me to the www.google.com). I tried to enhance the Standard web dynpro component (HAP_DOCUMENT_BODY) to add this link, but it gets reflected on the entire Tabu2019s of my table.
I need that link to be displayed only on a particular tab not on the entire Tabu2019s. Can anyone help me?

I dont know what the 'Alternate Source' is
In the Source section set
Source value or expression to be the name of the database column that has the URL (company_url)
Post calculation Computation to be '<a h ref="' || :pxx_company_url || '">' || :pxx_company_url || '</a>'; where pxx_company_url is the page-item name.
I have specified 'h ref' instead of 'href' so that the forum software doesnt mess up the post.

I cannot figure out whare and how to put the portal KM URL Link into the web application web link.
Your help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
KarenAdd content administration role to the user.
The the content administration tab would be visible to the user in the main menu tab.
Then in content administration tab, configure the URL for KM URL tab or link.
This would be done by EP experts. Please contact your EP experts to do.
Hope this would help you. -
How do I enable a URL link in a form ( region template = Form Region )?
Here is a simplification of what I have :
Table : company_info
company_name varchar(2000) ,
company_url varchar(2000)
Sample data
Row : Oracle , http://www.oracle.com
In the Form, I wish to display the company name in a column and the url in another column BUT with the URL enabled i.e. clicking on the link should enable redirecting the page to the URL.
By default, I can display the data in a form as is. I tried the data massaging options of 'sql query' etc in the field details to manipulate the ouput to generate the ( <a href="+url in question"+>+url_in_question+ </a> ) syntax but couldn't get it active.
I tried creating a view on the table and having an additional column with the url embedding but that did not work in the form either.
Any suggestions ?
I am on version : 3.0.1.00.08
Thanks,

The mail i sent just can be preview as a plain text, which can't execute the html code that i put inside the smartforms itself. I follow a few step from this very useful blog.. Hopefully, you guys can give me some solutions or ideas on this.

Problem with links on email templates
Problem with links on email templates
Hi,
We have been having issues with links on our email templates. Some of the links point to the following URL:
http://server'sname/thirdparty/FCKeditor/editor/fckeditor.html?InstanceName=emailTemplatesDTO.htmlBody&Toolbar=NewscaleFCKEditorToolBar#URL
Sometimes we get “Unknown internal error” on the web page.
Can anyone help or advise on how to resolve this issue?
Many thanks,
Wesley.Hi Wesley,
This is rather late, but we've seen the same thing frequently (and I believe can replicate it). It's caused when you a creating a new email by copying the content of an existing one with a name space in it.
Upon copying, the link gets scrambled. The approach we use is to copy the email in to a new template, then strip out all of the URL links and add them back in.
Thanks!

URL link in the standard Sourcing mails
Hi All,
I am working on Sourcing 7.0 . In my production server scenario we have two URLs Internal and External.
All the sourcing emails will contain the Internal URL (sourcing server) in the mail content for the documents. So user will be not able to access the mail outside.
I want to give external URL in the URL link present in the email content for document.
>How can I achieve this?
>How can i map the internal-external URL so user can access the sourcing email and will be able to open the sourcing documents?
>In the standard email template, is there need to make changes for URL?
Please share your view.
Deepak!!!Hi Deepka,
First of all correct my understanding on your question, U want to have external (outside) URL in the internal sourcing mails sent??
PLease find the below details in case of mail changes;
1) first of all you need to create a custom mail template for this and follow step2
2) if you want to give some out side URL in the standard conent, you need to maintain the URL itself.
3) FInally associate it with the mail configuration.
Hope this helps, correct my understanding if you are looking for some other enhancements,.
Thanks

How to remove bullets and spacing for url links in the Related Links iview?
I tried to look for a property that I can edit the look-n-feel of the url links in the Related Link iView using "Theme Editor".
All I need is to remove the bullets and increase some vertical spacing between the links.
Currently, it looks like this:
URL iView A
URL Iview B
I go through the whole section of Related Links properties, none of them seems to do what I want.
Here are the list of properties in Related Link section (of Navigation Panel):
Link Color
Text Decoration of Link
Hover Color
Text Decoration of Hovered Link
Initially, I thought "Text Decoration of Link" should be the right property I should look at. But there are a drop-down with 5 options: None, Underline, Blinking, Overline and Line-Through, which really can't achieve what I want.
Thanks for advice.

Message was edited by: Kent C.Hi, Kai.
I checked the Related iView properties (URL Template), I don't see what layoutset it is really using. I am not sure, is that a layout set apply to the Related Link Iview?
For the regular KM iView, I will see what Layout Set I want to apply, then I can go and change the properties (of layout coontroller, collection renderer & resource renderer)you mentioned. But for this Related Link iView, I really don't know. I guess it may be in the code itself.
If there is a layout set for Related Link iView (or the place to apply layout set to it), can you point to me which one is that? (I did a search through the layout set names, I only find the AppQuicklinkExplorer (I used this for Dynamic Nav. Link iView before), if I can aply this layout set to Related Link iView, my problem will be solved.)
Thanks for help.

How to add a new url link in a view of an existing webdynpro component?
How to add a new url link in a view of an existing webdynpro component?
hi ,

To enhance the layout of the view, you can create new UI elements. This procedure is no different u2013 from a technical viewpoint u2013 from creating UI elements in components themselves. All UI elements created within the enhancement implementation can then be processed as usual.
Enhancements means inserting user developments into SAP development objects at predefined positions.
The Enhancement Framework enables you to add functionality to standard SAP software without actually changing the original repository objects, and to organize these enhancements as effectively as possible.

No options under the distribute tab to copy url link or embed a fillable PDF form
I Have a paid basic account is not giving me the option to under the distribute tab to copy url link or embed a fillable PDF form? Simply put it doesn't show up for an option. I want to embed the form into my website but the embed feature is not showing up? Please help I have been at this all day.
Based on your answer above, it sounds like you uploaded the file to your website, as opposed to the function being available from formscentral.
If you have downloaded the file from Acrobat Pro then uploaded it to a website and had the upload pinned to a download button, then that is going to be a function of your website. Your workaround has nothing to do with formscentral itself.
You essentially uploaded the file to your website, then made it a downloadable file. The reason it is opening in your browser is because you have the Adobe Reader/Acrobat plug-in for your browser. It's not actually "embedded". If you uninstalled all of your adobe plug-ins, then it would open Reader or Acrobat, not in the browser. The reason it only opens in Safari is likely due to the fact that you only have the Adobe Reader/Acrobat plug-in enabled for Safari, and it is disabled for the other browsers.
I hope this makes sense! -

URL Link on downloaded Excel File
Hi,
I have got a requirement.
For study and analysis purpose user download data on excel file from OCOD. Struture(Contents) of downloaded excel file is same as screen.
But the problem is when user click on 'DETAIL' (which has URL link) he/she is directed to Live OCOD and asked for log in with ID and Password, even if
user is logged in OCOD.
What i want to do is.
1) Download Excel file without any URL link.
2) If 1) is not possible then do not want to have 'DETAIL' option of downloded file.
3) Method for avoiding relog into OCOD.
Thanks in Advance
YujYuj, within the application click on the Training and Support link in the upper right, then click on Add-On Applications, then click on Reports and Analysis for Excel Template. In order to take the webinar click on Browse Training, then click on Training Resources by Job, then click on All Users, then click on Using Mail Merge for Word and Reports and Analysis for Excel with Oracle CRM On Demand.

Just put the link inside an editable region. The link will

new pages made from the template, but you can edit or delete
the link

Url link in User Decision workflow step
Hi Experts,
I had created a workflow for "Employee transfer" process using SWDD tcode.
I had a created a workflow step with type as "User Decision".I had included "Approve" & "Reject" decision options.
Now i want to include URL link along with "Approve" & "Reject" in the user decision workflow step (i.e) The manager needs to see the URL link along with "Approve" & "Reject" in his SAP workflow inbox.
Can anyone guide me...
Regards,
Krishna Balaji THi Krishna,
I understand your issue. I have faced a similar issue in my project.
Here is the solution!
To add link of a URL you need to have the binding with the BO of the transaction your are refering to. To do this, you need to bind your BO event (triggering event) to the workflow container and then the workflow container to task container. This BO value should flow from event-> workflow -> task container to get the link in the User Decision.
To do the binding you need to follow the following steps:
1. Go to t-code SWDD and open your workflow template.
2. Go to Basic Data (cap sign button at the top of the screen) or click Ctrl + F8
3. Go to Start Events tab.
4. In the Object type enter your BO name (BO for the transaction you need to add as link), in Event of object enter the BO event. This would serve as the triggering event for your workflow.
5. Click on 'B' i.e. Binding Defined, click on generate automatic binding. It would automatically generate the appropriate binding for the workflow. You can also alter the binding as per requirement. This binding would ensure that the URL comes under 'objects and attachments' section.
6. Click on 'C' i.e. Start Condition. A dialog would open, select the appropriate start condition for the workflow. Check the condition before saving (recommended).
6. Click on 'A' to Activate the binding and start condition. All 'A', 'B' and 'C' would get green.
7. Save the changes made and activate your workflow.
8. Do the binding between the workflow and the user decision step. Select automatic binding (recommended).
You can also refer to the similar thread that I had provided solution to. This would help you resolve the issue!
Re: URL of site has to be attached along with the mail
Hope this helps!

Disabling URL Link to Marketing selectively
Hello,
I am using OBIEE10.1.3.3.
I have been able to remove the Marketing link with help from Venkat's blog
http://oraclebizint.wordpress.com/2008/03/04/oracle-bi-ee-101332-removing-url-links-to-marketing-disconnected-analytics-and-delivers/
But, now my manager wants that the link be displayed but should be enabled only for users who belong to a particular group and be disabled for everyone else.
How can I do this? Or is it possible to hide the link for everyone except users who belong to a particular group?
Please advise,
Thanks,

to link to /subfolder/index.htm. I point to the file in DW,
then strip

Is there a way to cloak or hide the URL links within my PDF's? Or to prevent the MouseOver from displaying the URL link?
Basically, I have a URL link within a sample version of a PDF that takes a potential customer to a payment page to buy the full version of the PDF. I would rather the customer not see the URL itself to avoid confusion. For example, the customer is on the resellers site XYZ but the URL takes the customer through my site ABC (to capture the affiliate data) and then to the credit card payment page. You can have a look at the reference files, but the basic command you need
to use is this (of course, you can replace the address to the one you want
to open):
app.launchURL("http://www.adobe.com/");
However, for this to work the user must have JS enabled and they will be
asked by Acrobat if to allow this website to open.
