End to End processes in Customer Messaging and Points card

Dear friends
What are the E2E business processes involved in a typical customer messaging and points card scenario for a high street retailer.
How best can we define Customer messaging processes? And what is the right way to model these processes if they are brand new processes (i.e new processes to be added in the lifecycle). How should we map them in the first place?

Dear Johannes,
We have a few administration transactions that you can use on back-end. For example:GRFN_STR_CHANGE -GRFN_STR_CHANGE-Change Process Control
as well as RE_RHGRENZ4 to  Set a new end date to the objects.
At last case, you can run the program RHRHDL00 thru SE38 Tcode.Be carefull because this program delete the object from database.

    By using Service Desk scenario of Solution Manager you can convert an issue to an OSS message and follow it up.

    Snote application is also integrated with this Service Desk, you can apply SAP notes to any satellite systems.

  • Free Goods Import Process with Customs, Freight, and Other Taxes.

    I have to import free goods but have to pay for Customs, Freight, and other Taxes.
    1. If I tick Free Goods Indicator in PO Line Item, Condition Tab at line item disappears. It will not to calculate other conditions at Header level also. - So I cant execute this option.
    2. If i take price of material and insert Condition Type: R001:Discount/Quantity with material price/qty, then it gives Error Message - "Price Must be greater than 0".
    So, Is there any way through which I can procure Free Goods and can maintain conditions for Customs, Freight, and other Taxes in Purchase Order.
    Please help me in this regard.

    Hi,
    1) Create an import PO in ME21N with material price and all custom duty conditions (as you normally create). no need to put free tick indicator.
    2) Process MIRO for goods and delivery costs simultaneously.
    3) Maintain zero amount for goods item and actual values for the duties (Ensure selection of goods item including delivery cost items)
    4) Save the LIV document
    5) Check PO item history got updated with IR-L and DCIn. (IR-L will updated with zero amount)
    6) Do  MIGO w.r.t. IR document number.
    7) GR FI document will get updated with the non-set off duty values only.

And am I having difficulty to keep it focussed on business side then technical configuration. Please let me know on what points should I focus? What are the likely processes involved and how to put together them in documents before the start of the implementation. Assuming the sector to be retail or manufacturer of appliances.

  • Personal Services - W4/Bank Custom Messages and Badi's

    Hello Everyone,
    We are in the process of implementing ESS and have a few custom rules for certain infotypes built in to the old PA users exits. For example, we do not allow associates to have more than 3 banks, we will not allow associates to change W4 information if they have a tax levy, etc.
    Does anyone know of a way to send a message to the screen if an ESS user tries to make changes such as trying to enter more than three banks?  There is a nice Badi in the Leave Request service that allows for checks and messages to be displayed on the screen but unfortunately I am not seeing anything (a Badi to send messages) for the Personal Services W4, Bank, Address, etc.  Has anyone encountered this and if so, what did you do?

    Ok, I do have a question for you if you don't mind me asking.  I have implemented HRPAD00INFTYUI and have tested sending messages to the ESS services and it works.  The problem I am facing is that it appears that the table PNNNN is empty, thus I can't tell in the method which infotype record is being changed.  Do you know what I must do (possibly inside the method Input Conversion) to fill PNNNN with the data that the user entered in ESS?

  • Customizing messaging and silent mode

    Several questions here:
    1- Is there a way to choose to send text message rather than iMessage to a specific contact other than completely turning off iMessage?
    2- Can the vibrate mode be customized to select how many vibrations for each category rather than 2 for everything? This is rather helpful when in silent mode, becasue you can set i.e. one vibration for messages, two for mails, etc (I could do this in my very basic Blackberry 8520...)
    3- Is there a way to change the default that when there is one and only one new message inside the Messages built-in app and you tap it, it directly opens the new message? becasue when there's more than one you get to see the list and choose, but with only one it always opens it right away

  • Custom message is not getting displayed after raising do_not_save

    Hi all,
    In Order_save BADI, based some conditions, we were throwing custom messages.
    FYI., code used,
    CV_OWN_MESSAGE = 'X'.
    MESSAGE 'xxxxxxxxxxxxxx' TYPE 'W' Raising do_not_save.
    After Solman upgrade from 7.0 to 7.1, system is not displaying custom message and
    system throwing message like "The document could not be saved" only after execution of above message statement.
    How can I overwrite this system message.
    Any help would be highly appreciated.

    i am getting following error :

    I have created the message "JTM_SAVE_SUCCESSFULL" through
    Application Developer --> Application --> messages responsibility and given its type as error , application as "mobile application foundation" and then "ran the generate message" program.
    After that i checked the fnd_new_message table . the message is there.

  • Raising Customer Messages with SAP OSS on BCS issues

    Hi guys,
    I'd be keen to know everyone's opinion on raising customer messages with SAP OSS, in particular on BCS.
    Often I find that my colleagues are hesitant to raise a note with SAP because they think it either takes too long or they don't get a satisfactory answer.
    Whereas as soon as I see something fishy, that I cannot explain I will check my logic once more, check on SDN, check existing OSS notes, then raise a Customer Message immediately (while I continue to investigate/test).
    This is partly due to my experience that half the time I feel like a guinea pig in BCS, perhaps because BCS is not as widespread as other modules and i may be the first to try something so may be first to experience the problem.
    The first line response (often from Shanghai) usually tries to send the message straight back but I find with a little persistence, clear (and irrefutable) documentation , you soon get through to the experts in Germany (or is it Czech Rep?) who actually understand the issue.
    The client has paid a lot of money for the service through their SAP licensing and maintenance fees, so I have no qualms about 'reporting a product error' when I see one.
    Also, I find a lot of BCS documentation is out of date, not updated as new releases/EHPs come out, eg I recently relied on the contents of OSS note 936590, which was wrong for BCS 604. So I raised a customer message and requested that they update it, which has now been done - this is too late for me but might help someone else.
    Raising a Customer Message with OSS is not an excuse to avoid doing your job, but where there is a genuine error in BCS, I encourage others to raise OSS notes and persis with them until a satisfatcory response is received.

    The situation is almost the same: the 1st line support (India) very often beat back the costomer message without going deep into the problem. However, if we persist and provide additional details (or when the message was made very professionally and bypassed the 1st line) the message was rerouted to consultants from Czeck Rep.). In this case the progress was significant. Since the client do not provide access to the system, in a couple of times we made a remote session: the support guy gave directions what to do in the system and where to look for some details. The problems were solved in a half an hour.

    We are facing, IMHO, a rather commonly-asked situation, at end of GP processing.
    Currently in GP, after a process is completed, a standard message is shown.
    Q: How do we customize the message shown or provide a customized page, which allows us to include a button or link back to our application launch page?
    Has anyone faced the situation before?
    Any advise is greatly appreciated!

    Q: How do we customize the message shown or provide a customized page, which allows us to include a button or link back to our application launch page?
    Even we faced the same problem long back for our application and we were able to hide default messages through display callable object.
    for every Action in GP, u can assign two callable object:
    1. for Execution
    2. for Display some messages.
    when ur process reaches the last stage, u can add a display callable object for the last action. the display callable object can contain a button to navigate to home page.
    the display callable object can be web dynpro application where u can have a button which will navigate to home page.

    End-to-end monitoring includes message monitoring, adapter monitoring, BPE if BPM is involved.. so end-to-end monitoring tells you complete description of your scenario......but message monitoring is concerned only with source message coming to target message successfully generated.

    Hi Reddy,
    You may find the run time of a PC using below steps.
    1. Call SE38 > /SSA/BWT > Execute  > Enter your PC , choose the date and time > Execute. Here Run-time of a PC is displayed. (or)
    2. Call RSPC1 > Enter your PC > Execute > Goto Log view > Right click on the start Variant > Displaying Messages > Note down the start time in Chain Tab. Now Right click on the last Process type of the PC > Displaying Messages > Note down the End time in Chain Tab. The Difference b/w start time and end time gives the Run-time of your PC.
    Hope this helps.
