Enhancement point in reserved namespace like /LTIL/

We are working in reserved namespace like /LTIL/ for the product which will be installed as Add On package.
We want to add enhancement point so that the future client user's can add their code to enhance functionality as per their requirement.
Till implementation it's fine. But when we try to activate implementation we get syntax error
SAPL/LTIL/ENHS not unicode compatible.
I suspect that SAP is creating program as /LTIL/SAPL/ENHS but validation creating file name as per normal scenario where reserved namespace is not used.
Can any expert tell us what could be possible error ?

I need to populate around 10 standard SAP fields and 8 custom fields on MSEG(material document item table) record, WHILE the material document is creating or CONFIRMING the delivery or SHIPEMENT confirmation. In this process I found an a BADI (MB_DOCUMENT_BADI), well, this BADI does not having CHANGING parameters of MSEG.....pls. let me know any other user-exit ot BADI which serves my requirement?
Actually, I tried to do it by suing field-symbols (below code) in this BADI, but still my values are not reflecting!

Enhancement Point Creation in Internal table

Hi,
I want to create a Enhancement Point in Internal table declared in Customize Program.
This is more related to clarification of concept related to Enhancment Point.
But when i am putting the cursor inside the internal table and right click and Enhancment -> create ,it is giving me a message
that "Position of enhancement section/point statement is not allowed".
This means that we can't create Enhancement point or Enhancement Section inside the Internal table and solution is we can use
only Implicit Enhancement point.
But the doubt is that i had seen SAP programs where they have created the Enhancement point in the internal table declarations.
How that is possible then?
Please provide your helpful answers to get me more clarification on Enhancement Point/

Now in the internal table lbbes they have created the enhancement point and in implementation of enhancement point they have declare some extra fields.This is not a implicit enhancement but it is a explicit enhancment implementation with the help of enhancement point.
Similarly if i have to do in my customize program then how to go ahead?
I knew that it is possible with Implicit Enhancement point and i can implement that also.

How can I get the Microsoft enhanced Point and Print compatibility driver installed on Win7 LC master?

We recently migrated from a Windows Server 2003 to Windows Server 2012 print server. When recomposing a linked clone pool with the old 2003 server, drivers were taken care of for the printer when the user printed for the first time after desktop recompose. With 2012, any printer using the Point and Print driver doesn't seem to obtain the driver again from the 2012 server. All of our clients are running Windows 7 which means the Microsoft enhanced Point and Print compatibility driver is not installed in the OS natively.
I apparently need to figure out a way to get this installed on the host image so it trickles down to snapshots when recomposing the linked clone pool but I haven't been able to dig much information on doing this. Does anyone out there have any insight on how to accomplish this? If I recompose a pool now for a user who is using a new Point and Print driver, they get the following message that is resolved by removing the printer from their account and re-adding it:
"The 'Microsoft enhanced Point and Print compatibility driver' printer driver is not installed on this computer. Some printer properties will not be accessible unless you install the printer driver. Do you want to install the driver now?"
I figured the easy solution would be to just install a printer using the Point and Print driver and then remove it...leaving the driver behind (unless it cleaned up after itself). The problem with this is in my testing, even after removing and re-adding a printer that set off installation of this Point and Print driver on the client, any other printer that was using it still required the remove/re-add process in order to work, else I got the same message. That tells me that the driver may be custom for each printer installed?
Color me a little confused. I do NOT like the way that Server 2012 handles printers. I've come across a few other issues as well (such as duplex capabilities not being remember on the print server for a printer) that I never had with the 2003 server.

User Exit/BADI/Enhancement Point in VF01 after generating new billingdocno.

Hi Experts,
I am looking for a user exit/BADI/Enhancement point which will trigger in VF01 after generating the new document no (Billing document no assign). The Billing document no is generating in the FM RV_INVOICE_DOCUMENT_ADD ( NUMBER_GET_NEXT).
Now the Billing document no is generating like '0000152', i want to concatenate 'ECR' to the generated Billing document no and it should be updated like ECR0000152 in Billing tables (VBRK, VBRP).
Kindly let me know is there any EXIT/BADI to achieve this functionality.

ENHANCEMENT-POINT / Enhancement in ECC 6.0

I have been searching for an answer. I have yet to find anything.
Anyway here's my question:
I am using an SAP provided enhancement point. (I think)
It looks like this in the code:

I double click on the 16 and entered my code. Then I looked at the properties and found the switch AM_SCH_MM was off.
So I created a business function via sfw2 included the switch AM_SCH_MM and activated the business function. Since I've been reading the forum. I activated my new business function in sfw5 as well.
I put my program into debug. It is still skipping over the enhancement. I'm sure I've missed a step somewhere as we are just implmenting from 4.5C.
Does anyone know why this isn't working? Or simply how to activate an SAP supplied enhancement. I've been reading on creating a custom enhacement and using a BADI. Do I have to do the same thing for the SAP supplied one?

Sure.
I went into the SAP code. Then I used the menu path:
Function Module -> Enhanceme source code
-OR-
Program -> Enhance.
I determined where in the source code that I wanted my code to be at then I right clicked.
Enhancement Implementation -> Create
Entered the name and text, package.
Selected the implementation.
Entered my code.
Activated the enhancement or Ctrl-F3.

i have implemented implicit enhancement point to above transactions and all are working fine and as per the requirement
i m concern with only few things that :
    1-   Is it good to use enhancement point or to use user exit and badi ?
    2-   After using enhancement point as a in between hooks i m not violating and modifying the standard no ?
   3-   If someone raise an OSS message for some queries in related transaction will SAP gives support ?

Enhancement point is not processed in Q-System

We are using SAP SCM 7.0, based on NW 7.0 EhP 1.
In the development system we created a new enhancement point (implicit) where everything works fine.
After transport to Q system no enhancement point is processed although the coding is there and listed as 'active'.
BAdI implementations are processed, though.
Do you have a general advise what could be wrong?
We don't have a switch for this Z enhancement.

I haven't encountered this problem yet, but there's reports in the forum that another activation helped, e.g. see this thread Implicit Enhancement Code not wrking after transport (and if you do a search you'll find more reports like that). People, who encountered this issue, seem to usually say that during debugging the enhancement code doesn't show up, though in the editor it is visible and marked as active.<br />

Enhancement point in billing doc creation at invoice number generation

I need to find an enhancement during billing document creation.
This is my requirement.      Within function module RV_INVOICE_DOCUMENT_ADD, standard SAP determines the invoice number using Function Module NUMBER_GET_NEXT. now, there is an enhancement point available immediately after the standard SAP invoice number has been determined.
I need to find that enhancement point.
Please advice what enhancement points are available at this point.

Effect
: These statements define a source code plug-in with the ID id. Between the statements, a source code enhancement can be implemented. The control structures and processing blocks contained in the implementation must be complete.
The statements ENHANCEMENT and ENDENHANCEMENT can not be entered and edited directly. Instead, they are generated by the ABAP Workbench when enhancements are created as a part of the enhancement concept. The ID id is also assigned by the Workbench.
Notes
: In the terminology of the enhancement concept, a source code plug-in is an enhancement implementation element of a (simple) enhancement implementation.
Although source code plug-ins are displayed in the same source code as the corresponding enhancement options ENHANCEMENT-POINT or ENHANCEMENT-SECTION, they are actually stored in other Include programs that are administrated by the Enhancement Builder.
It is not yet possible to enhance a source code plug-in using further source code plug-ins. This means it is not currently possible to use the statements ENHANCEMENT-POINT and ENHANCEMENT-SECTION between ENHANCEMENT and ENDENHANCEMENT.

Hi Sunil,
place the cursor on enhancement editor, click on spiral icon again, next goto edit-> press on show implisit-enhancement -press on 'change enhancement ' just comment the code or delete it and activate it again.
you can not assign enhancement points: SAP will define enhancement points in some places only.
If you define your self, you may not get the objects or screen data, so you cann't do any validations on it.

The ABAP statements ENHANCEMENT-POINT and ENHANCEMENT-SECTION identify positions where code can be inserted or replaced. The enhancement implementations are regular repository objects and are assigned to a development package in the customeru2019s namespace when they are created.
The enhancement spots are used to manage explicit enhancement options. Enhancement spots carry information about the positions at which enhancement options were created. One enhancement spot can manage several enhancement options of a Repository object. Conversely, several enhancement spots can be assigned to one enhancement option.

We can use enhancement point to enhance standard report for customize requirement of our client.
You can create enhancement point in display mode. There is button called Enhance (shift + F4). Click on that and it will ve in change like mode; now you can implement any enhancement point.
To go to display mode press chnage/display button.

We are creating an Enhancement-Point for an include RV15CI03. This include has several main programs. The one that we want to use is,RV15C002.
When we create an Enhancement-Point, the COMPILATION UNIT is set to RV15C002 automatically.
Is there a way to change the compilation unit for this point as "Multiple_use Include".

I dont see a point in having this statement
swc_set_table event_container 'INTERNAL_TABLE' t_cnp_container. Infact it is not needed !!
SWE_EVENT_CREATE like any other FM, take a
lt_var type standard table of SWCONT.
ls_var type SWCONT.
fill your ls_var with all fields and append it to lt_var each time and pass lt_var to event_table of SWE_EVENT_CREATE. It should work !!
However, suggested way is to use SAP_WAPI_CREATE_EVENT instead of SWE_EVENT_CREATE from ECC 5.0 onwards. There are fe concerns with SWE_EVENT_CREATE mainly with respect to commit and persistancy. Better we should use SAP_WAPI* as much as possible from ECC 5.0.

SAP note - delete enhancement-point

I would like to implement a note ("992605"). In this note there were some correction instructions (e.g. "ES_MRYF_COMMON_ROUTINES_ALV"; Objecttype ENHS). If I open the link to the object (click on objectname), there are no details what to do. Now what should I do?
If I open the object-link to "MRYF_COMMON_ROUTINES_ALV" in the note, I get the information to delete following line (include MRYF_COMMON_ROUTINES_ALV) :
ENHANCEMENT-POINT MRYF_COMMON_ROUTINES_ALV_01 SPOTS ES_MRYF_COMMON_ROUTINES_ALV INCLUDE BOUND.
It's an enhancement-point which I can't delete because it's not modifiable (Info: ("Components of enhancements and sections cannot be modified"). What should I do?

Hello Michael,
Does the note state that you are supposed to perform this action manually? If not, then why are you not using SNOTE to have the note applied automatically to your system?
Just go to transaction SNOTE, download the note and then mark it and click implement note. That should do it.
