Enhancement required for VA02

The issue is related to my earlier thread :-
[Contract Quantity not updated after assigning Reason for Rejection in Order;
Now to resolve this issue we need to keep the Message V4 096 as "warning", presently we set it as an "error" message. Now as soon as we make it as warning message, user will be able to either increase or decrease the quantity of Sales Order in VA02. But our requirement is that User should be able to reduce the quantity of Sales Order but should NOT INCREASE the quantity of sales Order.
So reduction of quantity should issue a "warning " message due to SAP Standard messge V4 096, whereas increase in quantity must give an "error" meassage, this require some enhancement.
One more thing I would like to understand that, since this process will take place in VA02, so in the table VBAP-KWMENG the existing quantity will be mainatined. While changing the quantity in VA02 the said field will not be updated until we save the document, so how can we compare the chnaged quantity with the already existing quantity before saving the document.
The change in quantity will be done in transaction VA02.
Please guide me how can I achieve my above said requirement. If some exit is required then please let me know the exit and the possible logic.

XVBAP contains the changed value and YVBAP contains the unchanges values.

This is regarding Sales Order Change (VA02) and If I select the MENU navigation : SYSTEM -> Services for Object in ECC 6.0 then it is populating one Pop-up stating that "Sales Order XXXXXXX" Here we have the option for "Create Attachment".
For this we need to do one prerequist in SAP ECC 6.0 Goto Tcode SU01 under the "Parameter" Tab we need to provide the following Parameter ID i.e
SD_SWU_ACTIVE and Parameter value is : "X".
The Same scenario I need in SAP 4.0b version.
It would be grateful if you can helpout in this issue.

Absolutely it is not possible.
The services for object is only visible, once the original object is created.
Even if you check for normal F-02 entry also, it wont be visible during entry, but will be visible after posting if we go thru FB02 or FB03.
Any attachment can be assigned through the services for object, is possible only after creation of the dependent / original data.
So for AS02 and AS03, the dependent data has to be there in the DB, which has been created with AS01.

In Migo Transaction , when i am doing plant to plant goods transfer , i am entering source plant and target plant and doing posting of the material, and one document no .(MBLNR)is generated for a movement type .
Now by taking the same document no. MBLNR , i am doing place in storage location ,in migo .
Now my requirement is in MSEG , i want to fill the refernce document no (LFBNR) as the document no i got , while i do the remove from storage location(i.e, the no with refernce to what i am dng place in storage loc.).
Is there any exit or badi , that will do the need ful.

Please tell me where you are seeing this error message. It's not one that I'm familiar with as being related to Acrobat or Reader. Is it coming from your online fax service, or does it appear when you try to open the PDF file that you received in Acrobat or Reader?

Purpose of instructor led training requirement for OCP?

What is the purpose of requiring OCP candidates to take an instructor led course? It all seems a bit random / superfluous. Costly too if one does not have an employer willing to pay for the training.
My Oracle Press "OCA/OCP Oracle Database 11g All-in-One Exam Guide" doesn't even hint that classes are a requirement for the OCP; the most said is: "The OCA qualification is based on two examinations; the OCP qualification requires passing a third examination." (pg. XXIX). An incomplete characterization, correct?
And "To prepare for the OCA/OCP examinations, you can attend Oracle University instructor-led training courses, you can study Oracle University online learning material, or you can read this book." (pg. XXIX). Prepare for the exams, sure. But why would such a book omit the not insignificant detail that a perhaps expensive course is required to get the OCP? Seems discourteous to the reader.

A modest Intro to SQL course will count? But an OCA will already have that knowledge. Obviously, one should choose a course with higher-level content. But I'm not sure I understand the logic of the OCA-grade courses being eligible. And for those funding certification without financial assistance from an employer, the question that suggests is this: what is the least expensive way to satisfy the "instructor led" course requirement? I cheapest price I see from Oracle is a 3 day class costing $1,800. It would also cost 3 days of vacation time, or unpaid leave, if an employer is not supportive of certification.

As well as logging in (you would be surprised how many OCA candidates do not know how), these all give you an opportunity to issue SQL and PL/SQL
commands. Scary, but seems beside the point. The HOC requirement is one solution to this problem, but it seems like a sub-optimal one. Again, this punishes Oracle professionals already working in the field who'd like to become certified. Why is there no regard for them? One way to correct this, if this is a genuine concern on Oracle's part, is to include a "live" aspect to the exams. Then, if this causes a fail, those who flunk might be interested in taking HOCs to remedy this. In this day and age, I'm certain training could involve interactive SQL*PLUS sessions, etc. Only a failure of imagination and will could prevent I suspect; particularly in a world of virtualization. Building indexes based on some rule is a waste of CPU, disk i/o, and space.
To build indexes that enhance rather than degrade a system requires research and the use of explain plan reports generated with DBMS_XPLAN.

Enhancement spots for ME59N

Hi All,
Can any one give an idea to find the suitable enhancement spots for any transaction.
I am working in ECC 6.0.
In my case i need to find for ME59N, the program name is RM06BB30, and the requirment is for automatic creation of PO for different Tax Classifications.
There is an user exit ME590001 which is suitable for this application, but we are instructed to avoid user exits so we have to go for enhancement spots.

I have an urgent requirement of creating an Enhancement implementation for the existing Enhancement Spot in ECC 6.0 ..
I never worked on enhancement in ECC 6.0.
There is an existing enhancement spot called "ES_SAPLIQS0" in the package " IWOC". which has got three existing implementations
1. DI_ROT_SAPLIQS0
2. ISU_SAPLIQS0
3. DIMP_GENERAL_SAPLIQS0
I need to create another implementation for the same enhancement spot.. Please let me know the detailed procedure to create the enhancement implementation for the same spot..

First of all find out the include program where you want to write the logic.. Click the spiral button to go to enhancement mode.. then click on Edit > Enhancement operations> Show implicit enhancement points.
This will hightlight all the enhancement points in your include program. Right click on exact enhancement point and select Enhancement Implementations --> Create,, It should give you the same Enhancement spot you are talking about. select that and write the code.. This code will be automatically appear in the same enhancement spot. You can see one more Enhancement implementation in the same Enhancement spot from the transaction code se19.

Enhancement implementation for enhancement spot DPR_EVENTS

Hi. SAP Export.
I created an enhancement implementation for enhancement spot DPR_EVENTS, and set the filter value equal to ON_TTO_IN_PROCESS, it means the code executed when user set system status to u2018IN PROCESSu2019.
I added my code to do some logical check in the method IF_EX_DPR_EVENTS~ON_EVENT, if the check failed. I can show an error message on the cProjects, BUT I CAN STILL SAVE THE DATA with ERROR. It looks like the error message is not useful.
Could some one please kindly help with provide a solution to solve this issue?

Can you please elaborate, what exactly is the requirement? Do you want that the message should be displayed as warning & processing should continue or something else?

Can we change the enhancement set for a component

Dear All
I have a situation where in we need to change assign a different enhancement set to all our components which got enhanced.
We can only have 1 enhancement set active for a client.
Now in our case
Say for client 300 we were using Enhancement Set E1.
Our requirement is to create one more enhancment set E2 and assign it to client C1. We can do that.
Do we we have a mechanism to move all development already done using E1 to E2?

Hi Gaurav,
We create enhancement set in SM30, then assign it to client also there.
After that, when we go to BSP_WD_CMPWB - by default we see the enhancement set assigned to the client. Now there are 2 things:
1. to use different enhancement set for different users - you can implement badi component_loading to load different enhancement set depending on business requirement by writing code:
RV_RESULT = <name of ENHANCEMENT_SET. >
there is a default implementation in the system for reference.
2. all enhanced views can be seen in transaction SM34, give name of view cluster as BSPWDVC_CMP_EXT
Select your enhancement set -> go to Enhancement Definitions (here you see components enhanced) -> select any -> go to Controller Subsitutes (here you see all view enhanced).
You can try copying all these entries into another enhancement set. I am not sure if it will allow same entries in two different sets (if it doesn't you will have to delete from the other).
