When invoking the SQLPLUS Worksheet, it would be nice to give it the ability to choose a drop down and work in that schema. (To show what Schema it is connected to) Right now I am having to enter "Alter Session Set Current_Schema = New_Schema".
Maybe a USE comman to switch the Schemas would be nice? But I think letting us know which schema we are in would be a great idea. (That way we aren't accidentally changing something on the wrong server or the production box)

Another thing I would like is for it to do Object Comparisons against other Objects not only in the same DB but across multiple DB's.
You can compare tables and have it show what is different, and then script the SQL that you would need to make the changes.
Also to compare Schemas against Schemas and entire Databases against eachother, and offer the SQL to make the changes needed to an object. (Of course this might be a huge QA thing and not easy to do since you may have to deal with integrity constraints etc..)
Just some food for thought.

Also, when I use the DB connection, I see I am in my current schema, I can then go down and look at other users, but not myself, it would be nice to also see myself listed there as well.
Also in the SQL Plus worksheet, if we could have a drop down to the right top, just to the left of the Database with the schemas I have access to, that would rock!

1) You could name yoru connections so that the schema is in the name like scott_my_prod_by then you'd see the name in the worksheet
2) The comparisions were on the list but for some of the reasons you list will not make the 1.0 cut.
3) We do exclude the connected schema hence the name "Other Users."
4) One thing we do want to add is the ability to filter the "Other Users" to only list users which you have access to and have objects you can inspect. You could then leave that list open and accomplish the same thing.

Thank you so much for your response to my earlier thread, it is difficult to focus on what I am supposed to be doing today, with all the sad news from the east coast.
Re-visiting this variable issue one more time to try understand what is going wrong with this file.
Below is a shortened version of the file plus the output from parsing it with xalan, saxon and oracle's two latest versions. As you see it parses fine with xalan and saxon but errors out with oracle's latest version. Should this be looked at again perhaps?

Yeah!!! It works. Turned out to be a combination of DrKlap's and Martisan's suggestions -- had to change var frame's declaration from JFrame to MyFrame:

NIO issue - writing to sockets from 2 threads

Hi All,
I have some questions regarding a NIO-server i'm developing. I have read many posts relating this issue, but still...
I have one thread that does the Selector.select() and read & write to the sockets
I have another thread that uses the same Selector and changes the interestOp to OP_WRITE (then wakes up the Selector).
I have a Connection (attachment) that i use to hold the inputBuffer and outputBuffer to handle remainings.
I've read a post in which some ppl wrote the stages of using th OP_WRITE and it was suggested that only when i wanna write i'll add the OP_WRITE and exclude it in the isWritable() - so i'm doing that.
My questions are:
1. Is it safe to change the interestOp on a key from another thread?
2. What happens if the select() is in process?
3. Are there any other problems with my implementation?
4. What other way i have to write to a socket from 2 different threads (withough putting a lock on the socket)?

Reset your thinking a bit. You should only register for OP_WRITE when you have just executed a 'short write', i.e. a return value > 0 but < the length you asked to write, and you should deregister OP_WRITE any time you execute a 'complete write', i.e. a write which writes everything you asked for. At all other times you should just write and handle your own syncrhonization. The reason is that socket channels are almost always writable except under the condition described so you will just be returning early from select() for nothing.

Russian in DeskI XI 3.1 (replaces earlier thread which was for BO 6.5.1)

I tried to seek help on this forum, under an earlier thread 'Russian in DeskI'.
That time it was with BO DeskI 6.5.1.
Now we have DeskI XI 3.1 installed, yet the problems are very similar.
Will appreciate active help (callback) from SAP/BO on this, as the Moscow
installation is one of our key locations, and as long as it does not work we
cannot purchase more licenses (plan to do so early 2010).
I want to attach files for illustration, but do not see here how to do that.
Environment:

Hello All,
I have a 15" i7 Macbook Pro from early 2011. The past few weeks, it has been getting increasingly difficult to get on my computer. It takes the mac laptop two or three tries to boot successfully. It would turn on, show gray screen, shut down, turn on again, show gray screen, shutdown, and then turn on, show gray screen, before it can finally get to the dark gray log-in screen. Even when I finally get logged in to start working, thinking it would be okay now, it shuts down randomly.
I've ruled out the possibility of a software problem because I've just done a clean re-install of Mac OS X Mavericks on my computer just yesterday.
I did upgrade the RAM recently, about a month and a half ago, from 4GB to 16GB, I went to the apple store four days after that upgrade to have them do a hardware test, and clean the inside of my laptop, which helped with previous heat issues. When they did the hardware test, the hardware was all registered as fine from their system.
I've tried resetting the SMC, PRAM, and doing the internet recovery hardware test, but to no avail. I thought I could at least find out what parts needed to be replaced from the hardware test but it seems that when the hardware test is almost finished, the computer just shuts down, So I am unable to see the results.
My computer is also having battery issues, under battery condition, it says "replace now," parts have been ordered, waiting for arrival. But if the battery health is low, it should still boot up fine, it would just hold a significantly less charge.
Could this be a hard drive issue?
Has anyone had similar symptoms and how was it resolved?
Does anyone know what I can do to alleviate this issue?
I haven't had time to take it to Apple because I'm currently taking a 21 credit semester academically. I'm an art and design student so my computer is basically the bane of my existence. Help! Any constructive advice is welcomed!

How can I pass an exception from one thread to another thread

If I create a new class, that will extends the class Thread, the methode run() can not be use with the statement Throws Exeption .
The question now: Is there any possibility to pass an exception from one thread to another thread?

It really depends on what you want to do with your exception. Is there some sort of global handler that will process the exceptions in some meaningful way? Unless you have that, there's not much point in throwing an exception in a thread, unless you simply want the stack trace generated.
Presuming that you have a global handler that can catch exceptions, nest your Exception subclass inside a RuntimeException:

No luck with any of those unfortunately so i just thought i'd see if anyone else is still without wifi sync after trying those as well and if you ever found a fix, thanks.

I just wanted to leave a note that it's working now. I'm not sure if it was the latest iTunes update that got it working or that i decided to start a new library instead of using the one i had backed up on Windows 8 (it didn't occur to me to check using the old library when i re-installed iTunes). But if anyone is having this problem, it might be worth trying again with a new installation of iTunes to see if the latest update works for you, and if not, try using a fresh library instead of a backup (by fresh library i mean discard your old library completely and start a new library, not just restore as new iPhone, a whole new library).

IPod Touch 5th Generation won't turn on and the home button is broken, followed the steps from another thread but it's still not working

I have an iPod Touch 5th Generation with iOS 8.1, my home button is broken and I've been using AssistiveTouch for months now. Today I just locked my iPod and it wouldn't unlock again, it doesn't respond at all, it won't turn on. It was almost fully charged, so it's not the battery. I followed the steps from this thread, but I'm still getting the "USBMuxListenerCreate: No Error" message in CMD Prompt. I bought my iPod abroad and even though I do have the warranty, I've been told at the iStore that it's not valid here, so going to the store isn't really an option. Any ideas how to solve this?

Sorry, but without a working home button it is not possible to reset or restore your device. You should visit an Authorized Appel Service Provider or Apple Store to get it serviced. EPMA 11.1.2.1 Property Differences from Earlier Releases

Just wondering if someone could shed some light on the below:
We are upgrading from 9.3.1 to 11.1.2.1 and have noticed that quite a few of our EPMA Planning properties have changed in 11.1.2.1.
This seems to be documented P379 of the EPMA 11.1.2.1 admin guide ( http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17236_01/epm.1112/epma_admin.pdf ) under the "Property differences from earlier releases" section.
First of all I m really not sure why Oracle did this (?!?!?!?) but more importantly how can we possibly identify such members for which properties have changed?? We cannot possibly compare every single member property with the 9.3.1 apps? We have hundreds of entities, a reasonably large chart of accounts and over 10000 projects members. This just does not seem possible?

Also beware that various properties seem buggy when it comes to automatically updating them from(an import profile connected to) either a Flat file or a data base source etc.
We encountered various issues with 11.1.2.1 attempting to do this. Remember that specific properties have only changed for specific dimension types, which could be a good thing, as it narrows your search, but could also be bad as you now have several types of change to make.
Short of trial and error, I think you're going to have to go down the "check everything" route.

Assuming you are using RandomAccessFile, you can use the locking functionality in the Java NIO library to lock sections of a file that you are reading/writing from each thread (or process).
If you can't use NIO, and all your threads are in the same application, you can create your own in-process locking mechanism that each thread uses prior to accessing the file. That would take some development, and the OS already has the capability, so using NIO is the best way to go if you can use JDK 1.4 or higher.

Copy variable from one thread to another

My program requires user to input a java file which contains the run() method.
In the input file, user can declare variables and use those variables inside the run method. User also need to enter the number of threads to be spawned.
The problem is how can I construct some method like "copy" which can copy the variable from one thread to another in my program? I can't do that since I don't know the name of the variables that the user inputted.
I've tried this:

You need to seriously reconsider what you're allowing the user to do. The short answer to your problem is to use a shared, synchronized associative array.
However, since the user can specify any number of threads, you will have to resolve deadlocks, and the fact that you're asking this question suggests you will have problems doing so until you have read up on threads and shared variables in more detail. (I don't mean to be dismissive. Deadlocks and shared variables have to be customized to the application, i.e., you have to figure out just when each thread will need access to the variable, what kind of access, and when.)
In the meantime, take a step back and take a look at the big picture.
From what you've said, I would guess a common example of your application is that I want to be able to read file "foo.dat", uppercase each letter in the file, and write it out to "fooXXX.dat" where XXX reflects the thread number. And specify any number of threads I want.
Threads would not be the best way to accomplish this. Do this serially.
Alternatively, I could interpret your problem as in you need to create a main() function that's capable of reading someone else's dot-class file, clone the object and start it. In which case, why do you want to share variables? If the user did his job correctly, then his file will already contain shared variables (or copy them as appropriate). All you have to do is clone the object via the new keyword, then call start() in it.
You cannot share something when you don't know what you're sharing.

Deleting a component in an enhancement from SMOD

Hi,
I have deleted a component in an enhancement from SMOD and activated the project in CMOD. Iam getting the expected results in developemnt system .
When I transport the changes to quality , I see that component is deleted , but, the corresponding function is still being called .
Please help on this.

first comment z include in FM EXIT_SAPLRHIV_002
then go to FM RH_GET_NEXT_NUMBER and enhance this
for that in form
CHECK_EXTERNAL_NUMBER where you exit call so put logic for skip this code to check for your particular scenario

How to refresh a JTable of a class from another thread class?

there is an application, in server side ,there are four classes, one is a class called face class that create an JInternalFrame and on it screen a JTable, another is a class the a thread ,which accept socket from client, when it accept the client socket, it deal the data and insert into db,then notify the face class to refresh the JTable,but in the thread class I used JTable's revalidate() and updateUI() method, the JTable does not refresh ,how should i do, pls give me help ,thank you very much
